821  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the minimum profitable price? on: January 09, 2017, 06:35:53 PM
I am also very curious to know about this because I'm having some hash power unsold in CEX cloud mining.
I guess if bitcoin would have sustained the above $1000 levels, they must be planning to resume their mining services. Is there any announcements from them regarding re-starting their cloud mining services after we are having stable $900?
822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is being manipulated in China on: January 09, 2017, 02:36:04 PM
I don't know about the secret meetings in private places but the sheer volume of traders and miners, plus Chinese money policy making does have some strong effect on the bitcoin price that is for sure. They are more aggressive than the rest of the world in general where it comes to bitcoin so they do have a huge say in what goes on.
I too do not see any significant of this secret meeting because already Chinese people are influencing bitcoin price levels and also they are already manipulating it for their own benefits.

It becomes possible for them just due to the fact of lack of contribution from rest of the countries. As long as other countries are ignoring the mass adoption / trading bitcoin, situations may persist.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Investment: risk or benefit? on: January 09, 2017, 07:45:00 AM
It's definitely a risk, the outcome maybe you are getting benefits or you are losing your money. Hence, it is important to manage our investment very well to minimize the risk, when you minimize the risk that means you have a greater chances to take the benefits in the future which is profit.
But I feel bitcoin investments are usually ending up in benefits than the domination of risks which we are leading to losses in any other investment types.

I agree we always look into the risk levels before going for any investments, but fortunately even bitcoin poses high risk levels, the returns are really awesome compared to any other investment returns.
824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: January 09, 2017, 06:45:43 AM
the vast majority of users have two or more wallets
I use webwallets such as Xapo and Blockchain for daily dust transactions, use a desktop client and have  a Trezor as the cold storage
think the more time you have been into bitcoin, the more wallets you will be using or at least trying out to see if they fit
Having completely different types of wallets will definitely ensure the security of our bitcoins from any possible hacking.

I'm always recommending my friends to use one web wallet and one standalone wallets. This web wallet and standalone wallet can be any, but we should not use only web wallets nor only stand alone wallets.
825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone interested in learning how to trade bitcoin for a living? on: January 08, 2017, 08:55:47 PM
I can see that this thread is more than 3 months old, I will like to feedback on traders' trade so far, if the strategy and techniques thought is actually working and the profit projection is achievable
i already have a good experience in trading alt coin and earning a good bitcoin from investing in alt coin.
I believe you must join with OP if you have enough time for make an initiative in this forum for spreading awareness on bitcoin/altcoin trading. I guess there are a lot of bitocin trading aspriants still searching for good sources of learning trading skills. Topics like this will be helping them to some point along with Google.
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: January 08, 2017, 08:15:53 PM
You need patience in trading and that is very important.
Yes, those traders who are not having patience while trading and also not having patience in developing required skills for trading, are deciding to quit trading after some point of losses in their trading experience.

At the same time, I believe they must be needing some break to re-evaluate about their skill on trading. Because that will be helping them to sharpen their skills for a better trading.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: January 08, 2017, 07:18:16 PM
From my own experience, I was an intensive gambler some two years back after that I started to reduce my gambling hours and now I am finding some control in my gambling activities. So, it is possible, only if we we are dedicated to.
It would be grateful, if you find time to share how you are finding methods for successfully reducing your gambling hours. Because, I am too trying to regulate my gambling activities like reducing gambling timing and reducing the amount I will be risking with gambling. But I'm not successful for years.

I guess to quit gambling I need help from Gods.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: January 08, 2017, 06:31:56 PM
When you start to feel that knot in your stumic or feel like you're going to be sick those or also signs you need to stop anything.
But in the rush of chasing losses or with the excitements from gambling, almost every gambler will be failing to find out those symptoms of getting sick. If it is not so, there would have been many profit making gamblers on regular basis.

Failing to stop gambling just after made some profits was my one of my prime reasons for I am not becoming a profit making gambler till date.
829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading between exchanges? on: January 08, 2017, 04:52:16 PM
From what I can see, the price margin between btc-e and bitfinex for BTC/USD as of right now is 49 USD.
Is it feasible to buy BTC from btc-e, and sell on bitfinex? Or do the fees completely kill the profit?
Has anyone tried something like this?
It is possible and it is already in practice by some traders as part of arbitrage trading.
You need to find solutions for moving funds in fiat format across exchanges for a continuous flow of this type of trading.

For an instance, you buy bitcoins from btc-e and you can easily deposit that into bitfinex and then now you need to withdraw fiats from there to deposit into btc-e, right? If you find it is possible and feasible without delay then you can make profits by doing this.
830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Newbie on: January 07, 2017, 07:32:53 PM
yobit is a site with so many cheap altcoins that maybe match for new people which want to learn trading, but always be careful because in yobit, you should learn how to choose altcoins and buy when its cheap and sell when it gets pump. the up rate is not always get pump but sometimes the rate will up almost 10% until 50% sometimes it reach about 90% or more. just watch out about the rate and get prepare to buy or to sell.

That's right, it is really good to recommend yobit.net for a newbie to learn trading. They can practice trading properly through different cheap coins in that exchange platform. Because most of the time pump and dump always happened in there.
Not just yobit but there are some other good exchange like poloniex, bitfinex and so many other from where you can gain good experience and trading tips of trading, you can also invest a small amount of bitcoin in alt coins for getting experience as there is no limit of investing in alt coins.
831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: January 04, 2017, 01:21:50 PM
Beginners in trading are the most ones who are likely to experience disappoinment but only those who have patient in learning how trade will become successful in trading. Failure is a part of the learning process as most traders experienced it in their early years of trading.
right.Failure is success, keep calm and never give up.Trading not simple
Yeah each disappointment is a step to success and hence the more we loose the more we learn.

Just have to make sure that we don't get dejected and don't loose hope. I have had my worst times where I even thought of ending my life because of the big losses while I could have had some profits instead in same coins. Anyways, I learn and move ahead !
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become centralized sometime in the future? on: January 04, 2017, 12:53:29 PM
It is every bitcoiners responsibility to support local miners to prevent the dominance of China.
Recently I come across a proposal from theymos on high hash power mining contracts. This type of inventions will support preventing bitcoins from moving into one single country's control.

China's adoption of bitcoin is good, but we need similar development in other countries too for better future for bitcoins.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: January 04, 2017, 11:24:31 AM
Considering that the market has a ton of shit coins its best to stay away from them and just only way I see any profit making business is by investing in gambling sites bankroll.

Gambling always take to shit only. Instead of that you could start invest in trading with low amount also in the sites like yobit or polenix.
Yeah investing in gambling sites often tempt us to make some bets when we visit the site.
Like I invested some nice amount in moneypot earlier and whenever I used to visit there I just bet on betterets so it happens. I think buying bitcoins at cheap and selling at high is the only good option left for now.
834  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks cashing in on blockchain on: January 04, 2017, 10:10:36 AM
The funny thing with banks is that they care about blockchain but they can't see the real potentials in bitcoin If they invest on it (or they do) but they consider it as a threat.
I guess they will start moving into bitcoin slowly for that the first step would be adopting blockchain technology.

The second step might be : creating own private altcoins and struggling with its pitfalls like 51% attack and not finding feasibility of having common medium of exchange etc.

This way the threat may become their savior finally. Ignoring bitcoin has no significant reasons in my understanding other than ego or security concerns. If unawareness is the prime reason for ignoring then it will get solved over time.
835  Economy / Economics / Re: How a cashless society could kill Bitcoin. on: January 04, 2017, 08:45:48 AM
This is just waiting the time, many peoples said if bitcoin will banned by the government and then will die, but until now its never happen.
That will never happen for ever in all the countries even if it happens, it will not find significant impact.

Government will emphasize cashless society just to fight against black money and corruption but that will help bitcoin to get popular among people as they will find more advantages rather than using other traceable e-currencies.

Then Government may take bitcoin favor or against decisions but bitcoin will get rapid adoption among cashless society regardless of their government's stand.
836  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future of Bitcoin Is Not as a Digital Currency on: January 04, 2017, 08:20:34 AM
currency refers to a generally accepted form of
money, including coins and paper notes, which is issued by a government and circulated within an economy.

actually bitcoin is form of money, we can buy things by bitcoin, and it is issued by government and circulated within economy of a country like Japan. so according to the definition, bitcoin is a currency, even it has another function.
Yes, the property of investment opportunity will not last for ever. Because the demand of bitcoin will get saturated according to the world population regardless of its  limited supply. But this will happen only after 200 years. So, as of now bitcoin will be serving us in both the functionalities.

Maybe in future itself, bitcoin will be identified as only currency as the price appreciations will not be in significant levels at any time like gold is doing right now.
837  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: January 03, 2017, 10:11:27 PM
Well in my opinion the bitcoin has a lot of advantages if you compare it with the normal cash in real life.
Firstly you can not lose it at all so that is the first sweet reason why its better.
Another reason is due to the fact its much safer, you can get robbed and mostly if people break in your house there is nothing weird, no cash.
I think cash is also a old method to pay, everything is gonna be digital in the future.
Yes bitcoin is really a good transaction medium, but I think the main reason is that the new generation is interested in online buying and selling and the governments are also now thinking about to issues a online currency so as to facilitate their people according to the need of the modern time.
838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best traders in the world – what they have in common on: January 03, 2017, 09:48:09 PM
Thanks for this information and this is quiet an inspiring words specially to those people who wants to learn trading.I could really say that it would really require to learn trading for longer years and its not an easy thing because you will need to build up experience and strategies to be profitable. Its very true that some people are not interested into the word "trading" when they do have jobs.Just like on my situation i dont have a job but still i would really love to learn trading not just for last resort on making money but i do have really the dream of being a professional trader.

Yeah, the best traders in the world learn from their mistakes and continue to trade.

They have one thing in common-lots of money.... Grin

Trading is actually like having a job.
No it is not right to say. I do not think that most of the best trader have a big money.

I think most  of the best traders have started their careers from investing a very low money in trading, and now they are earning such a big money, but the fact is that they give really more time to trading to learn it.

We come to know about some traders only because of their achievement not due to their initial big capital.
839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'd like to get some bitcoins. Is now a good time to do so? on: January 03, 2017, 09:32:35 PM
When this thread was opened (seven months ago) the price was below $600 and it was undoubtedly a good time to buy more coins. But at this time I am not so sure that it could be a good idea, because we are closer of the record high and at this point none can affirm with certainty what will happen next.
Yeah exactly ! It is not easy to make big profits buying at this price because though the price might get to much higher values but you might not make profit of 400-500$ per bitcoins. I think the price would get to around 1250 USD and then starts dropping, lets see if it happens Wink
840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes in trading that lead to loss of money on: January 03, 2017, 09:23:44 PM
If you are up a lot, then cash out.

The worst mistake you can make especially with altcoin trading is to baghold a coin for years on end, in my opinion. That is ridiculously dumb because altcoins all die out, new altcoins come out every day that have better specs then before. None of them however have an established reputation as a functioning cryptocurrency, something that in my opinion only bitcoin has.
to me the worst mistake in trading can be that if you invest your bitcoin in such coin about which you have no knowledge at all. because investing in altcoin without a sound knowledge is nothing but wasting your money and time.
Sometimes investing in a unknown entity is also useful mate though, like I invested in dogecoins at the very initial phase and made some huge profits trust me while the only reason I bought those coins was because I liked the name of the coin, now you see.

But this will not work out for all the times, I agree. (please make investments at your own analysis. I am not suggesting to do anything, just sharing my experience).
