I totally agree with your friend. To make a living you will need to promote 100 bounties per week because of the current market and the volatility of coins.
Also bounties don't pay you well. The coin as start can be near the ICO price, but after might fall a lot lower.
There is some exceptions, but you need to be really really lucky. Most tokens of this year are a lot lower than their ICO price.
Also creators of ICO tends to make their campaign longer and for the same stakes... So you can lose a lot more times for the same rewards.
And if you leave the bounty, you lose all the stakes. You are almost condemned to finish the job. You get paid only after the end of the ICO campaign.
They also can stop their ICO. Which means that you won't get anything. And some ICO are just scams.
Don't count on it to have a good life.

Buy a cloud mining contract or do mining by yourself. It is more safe if you really want to get mining rewards than putting money on scams projects promising a lot of ROI. But just one second, when someone mistake sell at 236 satoshi then it will back to normal price. Your buying order will be in a queue but not fill yet because no one sell at 237 satoshi. If someone succeed to buy at 236 satochis and your order was at 237 satochis. Logically your buy order should be filled before 236 satochis. Maybe there is a problem with their system? As you made your buy order at 02:40:29 this morning and the sell order to 236 satochis was at 09:03... Exchanges can manipulate the prices and nobody can really control them... |

Maybe the team saw that the mining difficulty was still very high and GPU miners were not enough. Also with nicehash it didn't help to make the difficulty go down for little CPU/GPU miners.
But i agree that ASIC are going to win the war one day. You can't change the algo for mining each 6 months.
Current ASIC hardwares are going to be obsolete on next year as they surely are preparing new and faster hardwares.
Only coins with POS/DPOS and no mining are going to survive against ASIC. I don't know if only CPU mining coins are going to stay like this.
ETN should have been a token on ETH... Don't you think?
