suppressive thinking kills innovation
this is an attempt to enforce market controls with force and since it's just a few people with suspect motivations leading it I predict utter failure
this will degenerate into a lot of DDoSing and memeing and not much else
quite the contrary. this will purge the unworthy from the market, and eventually will force evolution of the bitcoin source code(some desperate scammer will finally have a reason to make a coin that is truly unforkable). call it a purge or call it forced evolution. this idea makes sense either way, and the real crypto community, which mostly exists outside of this forum now will all support the movement. resistance of change does not stop the inevitable. #WEARESATOSHI

I can agree with you, muddafudda, that there is a lot of garbage being paraded throughout these forums and others. Most of these coins have been created by people like you, however. These so called developers are pushing out trash left and right in an attempt to make a few BTC. What I wonder though, is what makes you any different? Was memecoin not trash? I mean, whatever happened to the store? Is this the same store that was promised with Globalcoin? You talk about a premine greater than one percent being bad, but what about the premine/instamine you attempted to get out of r3wt for developing nanotokens? What about Tickets? Were you not behind the failed Maples as well? What about Cryptobits? You seemed eager to get that coin listed on Cryptsy. How many coins have you had a hand in developing?
Having said all of that, it sounds like I'm trying to start a fight or attack you. Really, I'm just curious as to your response, and ultimately, I think my main question comes down to this: What makes 2014 any different than 2013 any different than 2012...? Seriously, is this current crop of coin garbage any better developed than the early crop of coin that you, Hazard, and Shakezula put out? I say early because the development did get better.
you've brought up a good point, but muddafudda has clearly grown up, or atleast i hope he has. we all have to a degree. this is the first thing i've agreed with this guy on in a long time. i'm willing to let bygones be bygones. we simply must take back our community from these sockpuppets and scammers. let us not ignore the elephant in the room. I for one am not happy with watching my investments continually devalue accross all exchanges because of the mass marketed altcoin scams that prevail in 2014. thats the difference this year. In 2013 and 2012, no one was using these tactics. iGotSpots invented this tactic of lobbying with sockpuppets to get coins listed on exchanges, and as you can see its caught on with every fool in the game. The previous generation of coiners were much harsher than we were. they would destroy altcoins for pleasure.

http://Also how can we attack pos coins? don't we need 51% of the coins to do this? or is it not as simple as that? maybe PoW mining is good criteria for shitcoin status, eh? well , i think scam coin should be first focus.... we have legitimate gripe against those... Pure shit well i guess people are allowed to make a choice... however if we educate people to see they are wasting their time on shit... hopefully they will not mine or support it. First of all i will say this: The legality of this proposal is grey at best, however the goverments are doing nothing to stop this, it is time we step up and begin policing our community for the greater good. we need to send the message, however many times it takes, that we will destroy any attempt of creating new altcoins, atleast those that lack innovation. the necessary evil here is that we must fork each and everyone of these coins to destroy them. This being said, we can' t just run around the community forking coins, we need an SOP(Standard Operating Protocol) in place Here's my proposal: Prerequisites: 1. we need a private area for discussion away from this forum. 2. we have a centralized pool we use to orchestrate the attack(s) 3. we have a designated leader, and designated roles within the alliance. 4. we absolutely must include shakezula and BCX in this. 5. we do not fork any of the previous generation of altcoins, back when we were making coins for fun, before these scammers arrived. Phase 1:We vote on the coin to fork. once consensus is reached, we proceed to stage 2. announcing our intensions to the General Public. Phase 2:we announce it to the public. 7 days notice is given. we alert respective exchanges of our intention about the coin, and encourage them to delist it. if they refuse we move on to phase 3. Phase 3:We setup the pool on our own private network with our custom, low difficulty client. we mine from block 0 to thoroughly erase the blockchain.(very easy. we mine ahead 3,000 blocks, then suddenly flood the network.) Phase 4:We are done.

I'm picking up rumors that coins were indeed lost and Baritus found some "magic" funds to replace them with.
Probably why he won't post the address of the "stolen wallet", this way he can always have plausible deniability.
~BCX~
Yeah, rumors that you made up yourself... This sounds like an attempt at muddying the waters. Baritus had 560k DGC stolen. It's not linked to the C.AVE attempted hack issues. Then there were hack attempts at C.AVE leading to it being shutdown and a manual withdrawal process has been initiated. As I understand it parts of the exchange are being recoded to prevent future attacks leading to service disruption. This process is underway as we speak. Why is that you tend to know exactly what Baritus intentions are and how he thinks? Must be really close huh? ~BCX~ BOOM

1. The web site requires unnatural allegiance. It doesn't feel like a professional site, doesn't look like one, and any allegiance is one you create deep inside of you because of your lust for crypto.
Looks very professional. What are you talking about The navigation is terrible for starters. browsing markets is painful, the theme is unresponsive. laundry list of problems for me with the UI. glad to see i'm not the only one who doesn't like it.

I've been on this exchange for the past week and I love it. Layout is great, transactions are fast as hell, friendly people in chat, an active developer. There's actually not much else you could want, and that's probably coming very soon anyway! Also ATP rewards for chatting, trading and lotto wins are great! My only regret is not joining earlier lol. If you're feeling nice, I wouldn't mind a referral click https://www.Atomic-Trade.com?refid=2YRCI12L If you're not, still come and check out www.atomic-trade.com The layout/design is terrible (no different from the other exchanges, which are equally horrible in terms of look, feel, and navigation.) Other than that, i like ATP as well.

And again hashing and salting secure information is nothing new yet a ton of places simply don't do it.
i was with you until you dropped this gem. where on earth are they not salting and hashing passwords. inquiring minds would like to know. U know I wont publicly disclose any security flaws in anyone's system, so knock it off :-) just admit you misspoke. people love honesty. If i had I would be more than happy to say so... Now please lets just help these people who have lost what may seem like nothing to us but may be the world to them!!! my exchange lost 34 btc. no one feels worse for captainfuture and erundook, and their customers than i do. its a shitty position to be in.

ECC is junk and a scam. anyone with two functioning braincells can see it.
OSC > every coin on this list. fact.

thanks for throwing me under the bus(users can still withdraw their funds from OpenEx btw)
Ok fair enough I didn't realise funds were returned there after the breach. Will update my post. no there were funds lost, i was holding withdrawals on the deficient withdrawals while i built the little system to track who lost what and create a code system so they could recieve a "debt share" when the new OpenEx platform launches. that way there is atleast a hope they can get their coins back.

We need a community for this coin. seems like just a few random miners. We need services for starters. I know there are risks involved, but i think OSC is worthy of the challenge. We also need a PR person. I still haven't received any responses from the OpenSource Foundation. anyone else down to lobby with me for them to recognize OSC? kinda defeats the point of a coin for the Open Source community when they won't even recognize it.

What qualities do you look for in a coin? I would like to see OpenSourcecoin listed @ poloniex. its been around for almost a year, its stable, fast, and not very inflationary. about 3.88 million in existence. if you are interested, the website is http://opensourcecoin.org

lets just say he has been involved with the following:
300 gbps ddos attack lasting months against cryptsy.
illegal botnet operation in excess of 350,000 clients.
transaction malleability.
he experiments with forking coins.
he forked feathercoin, terracoin, tagcoin(on launch day no less), nanotoken etc.
he's successfully doublespent many coins(including BTC).
his former accomplice, ArtForz has been missing for years.
he is also rumored to have been involved with the hacking/theft of Bitcoinica in 2012
But how much does he bench? the bar if i had to guess...

Looking at your profile I can see you have been here only three months. You don't even understand what it means the bcx is mining there do you? Anybody want to clue this noob into what it means when bcx starts mining your pool or visiting your site in the open and clear.
I'll take a guess. Does it mean that he will attempt to hack the site, steal the coin and do lots of illegal things that the FBI will be interested in ? Am I right ? lets just say he has been involved with the following: 300 gbps ddos attack lasting months against cryptsy. illegal botnet operation in excess of 350,000 clients. transaction malleability. he experiments with forking coins. he forked feathercoin, terracoin, tagcoin(on launch day no less), nanotoken etc. he's successfully doublespent many coins(including BTC). his former accomplice, ArtForz has been missing for years. he is also rumored to have been involved with the hacking/theft of Bitcoinica in 2012
