Kraken reports everything to the IRS and FinCen .. safer for libertarian Bitcoiners is https://BitSpeculate.com .. you can trade stocks, commodities, forex AND cryptocurrencies with complete anonymity. No verification required and no reporting to any government agency

I see the 1 btc you sent to that address. Unfortunately, that address has nothing whatsoever to do with BitPlastic. It is not, and never was, an address on our system.

I speculate you entered the wrong Bitcoin address when you sent. People copy and paste incorrect addresses all the time. I don't know where that address came from, but it didn't come from us.  Of that I am completely certain.

I'll send you the 1btc you claim you lost just to get rid of this complaint thread which is hurting my rep.  However, I am cancelling your BitPlastic card and banning you from the network of 50+ sites that I own.

Send me your Bitcoin address where you want the 1btc sent.  I'll pay you out of pocket just to get rid of this bogus complaint.

As mentioned, I refunded the user ct1aic for his debit card that he was not satisfied with.

Apparently, he was unhappy that the card did not look like the one pictured on the website main page.  He did not even try to use the card, however - he simply did not like the look of it.

We normally do not issue refunds simply because someone doesn't like how our card or website looks, but in this case we made an exception and fully refunded the customer.

Please note that we clearly show what the card actually looks like here:
https://bitplastic.com/bitcoin-debit-card under the FAQ heading 'Does the card look like the one pictured on the website?' NO.

Other than that, I don't know how to provide any better service for this customer other than to refund his payment, which I did.  If he had tried to use the card, it would have worked just fine, as 10,000+ other BitPlastic customers can attest.

can you please provide the address that you sent the 1 btc to? And post it here, thanks

I understand there are a LOT of scams in the Bitcoin world these days and the knee-jerk reaction is to scream SCAM at the top of your lungs.

Now, I have addressed this user numerous times, and I am still willing to investigate what happened.  Frankly, I am quite confused.

The user claims to have sent 1 BTC to his BitPlastic account.  But his BitPlastic deposit address shows nothing:
https://blockchain.info/address/1MwNHaJ5trhjMP1E5z3rRawrh22sCaQyoX

The 0.001 btc was a test deposit I sent to make sure his address was working, and it is.

I own 50+ bitcoin sites (BitPlastic, BitLaunder.com, BitArmored.com, CoinChimp.com, BitBing.com, BitForum.org, BitSweeps.com, BitListing.com and many, many more).  I am not in the business of ripping someone off for a measly 1 btc which would simply ruin my reputation.  It is far more profitable to run a legitimate business than a scam.

I am more than happy to post a screen-capture of this user's account as well. And I am also happy to keep investigating and I would like to address the complaint publicly, since he has made the scam accusation public.

If something has gone wrong with our service the user will be refunded. I just can't see what the problem is; it appears no funds were ever received.

Hi Juswar,

We have not heard of your experience yet. I am curious (since I own the https://BitPlastic.com site!), how did the service work for you? Are you happy with the card?
827  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPlastic on: April 25, 2014, 09:51:55 PM
Still waiting for the promised refund...

I figured out why this user is slandering me.  His website is: http://ct1aic.org/

He was promoting a total SCAM debit card at http://thebitcoincard.co.uk/ on his website (the link is still there)

The debit card site went down apparently as the host pulled the plug due to the scam.  The only reason he ordere the BITPLASTIC card was so that he could post here to ask for a refund.

He is a total scam user and, actually, a scumbag.

We are trying to provide a solid, reliable, legitimate service to our users.
828  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPlastic on: April 25, 2014, 09:43:08 PM
BitPlastic is NO SCAM.  I own 50+ other websites including https://CoinChimp.com, https://BitArmored.com, https://BitLaunder.com, https://BitSweeps.com, https://CoinChimp.com and http://BitForum.org and many more.

I make plenty of money off fees; there is no need to SCAM anyone.

Some users will attempt to extort me or scam me by leaving negative feedback and then requesting 0.10 btc (or more) for them to remove the feedback. This has happened multiple times.

If anyone has a grievance about BitPlastic, I respond to emails within hours (moriarty.bitcoin@gmail.com) and I am also happy to address concerns in this thread. Simply post your BitPlastic username and your inquiry, and I will take care of the issue, IF you are a legitimate customer.

If you are trying to blackmail/extort me, forgot it.

Still waiting for the promised refund...

Still waiting for the promissed acknowlegde of deposited funds...

Post your BITPLASTIC USERNAME here and your BITPLASTIC DEPOSIT ADDRESS so that we can see that funds were actually sent to your address, as you claim.

If funds were sent, you will be refunded, and I will post it publicly here.

Still waiting for the promised refund...

This user was FULLY REFUNDED his 0.15btc which he paid for the debit card:

https://blockchain.info/address/1NG8guAew3N3jdPeokWza9HhU5VVVykykj

DISCLAIMER: This user got EXACTLY what he paid for but requested a refund nonetheless. I paid him out of my pocket, even though it cost me over 0.15btc to issue his card, which worked fine and was fully active.

In my opinion, this is a DISHONEST and FRAUDULENT user and I have banned him from using any of the 50+ bitcoin related websites that I own.
831  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Xapo will never work on: April 25, 2014, 09:20:15 PM
Wouldn't this make every transaction traceable? Their project is a mistake. This way Bitcoin users would lose their anonymity.

Yeah, there is no anonymity with XAPO.  They require ID and verification documents and they report every penny you run through the card to the government (IRS, FinCEN, etc)

I understand some people don't like the 'high fees' of BitPlastic (which are not really all that high), but you get what you pay for. We don't report ANYTHING to the government and we don't even request your real name.  You're going to lose a lot more money paying taxes on your XAPO finances than you are paying .25btc for a debit card through BitPlastic.
832  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Xapo will never work on: April 25, 2014, 09:18:20 PM
Why do you think Mastercard pull the plug

Oh, they will!  Because Bitcoin is a huge threat to the credit card companies. If Bitcoin gains wide acceptance even just online (nevermind offline), then credit card companies are losing a huge amount of business and market share.  Just like Paypal, they will NEVER allow bitcoin to flourish.
833  Economy / Exchanges / Xapo will never work on: April 25, 2014, 04:57:53 AM
Xapo just announced its Bitcoin debit card, but it will never work.  They received $20million+ from venture capitalists, so they have to show something for their efforts.

Here are the problems with XAPO:

First, Mastercard can (and will) pull the plug at any moment.

Second, the bank can (and will) pull the plug at any moment.

Third, the card will work (if it EVER works) in only a few countries.

Fourth, you will have to submit your ID and personal information, exposing yourself to identity theft from hackers who penetrate their server (which happens in the Bitcoin world all the time)

Fifth, Xapo will report all your finances to the IRS and FinCEN.

Sixth, most likely they will never actually get their card off the ground, like CaVirtex failed to do.

If you want a REAL Bitcoin debit card that ACTUALLY WORKS RIGHT NOW, then the ONLY solution available is https://BitPlastic.com

This card is total garbage. They will request ID/verification, report your funds to the IRS and FinCEN, block certain countries, and it might not even work.  Where is their card right now?  Not available. You have to sign up to 'pre-order'.

If you want the only REAL and WORKING Bitcoin Debit Card in existence, use https://BitPlastic.com

ALL COUNTRIES OK, no Identity verifications, and IT WORKS ...

That's an off-topic comment for this thread but I'm going to address it since it affects my reputation.

No, BitPlastic is not a scam.  Point me to any forum thread which suggests otherwise and I will address the accuser publicly and attempt to resolve any dispute.

Unfortunately, there are SO MANY scams these days, that just about anyone will scream SCAM if they have the slightest issue with a service.  I respond to customer emails within hours and attempt to do my very best to make everyone happy, but there is always someone who simply cannot be appeased.

I own 50+ Bitcoin sites and I make plenty of money off fees; I have no interest in scamming anyone, ever.

838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: April 16, 2014, 08:45:01 PM
Paypal is an absolute fucking joke and a ponzi scheme.

The faster they go down, the better. We need more people to use Bitcoin for online transactions and more merchants to accept Bitcoin.

Fiverr.com is already accepting Bitcoin and it works EXTREMELY well on their site.  I pay for all my fiverr transactions with Bitcoin and all my hosting as well.

The solution to destroying Paypal is simply not to use it.
839  Bitcoin / Legal / Report my Bitcoin earnings to the IRS? No way! on: April 16, 2014, 08:39:43 PM
With tax day fast approaching in the United States, the subject of Bitcoin and taxation has been all over the news lately.

Over the past several years, Bitcoin miners, investors and startups have enjoyed a huge financial boon from the Bitcoin price explosion.  As Bitcoiners, are we required to cough up real money to the IRS?

According to the US Government, we owe the IRS some cash.  Profits from Bitcoin mining are taxable and profits from Bitcoin investments fall under the capital gains tax.  Yes, we owe the government money. But should we pay?

No, I don't think so.

The power to tax is the power to destroy.  The Federal Reserve banking cartel understands the danger of Bitcoin eventually eclipsing fiat currency.  They are, frankly, terrified.  The US hasn't banned Bitcoin because it is not yet in mainstream usage.  Stores don't accept Bitcoin. Most people don't own Bitcoin.  Bitcoin might have entered the public lexicon, but it hasn't entered the public wallet.  At least not yet.

But the IRS and the Federal Reserve would love to establish a precedent of taxation for Bitcoin.  Should they eventually feel threatened enough to severely restrict it, they could easily tax Bitcoin into oblivion.

Already the government is seeking to regulate Bitcoin as a monetary instrument, hence the recent arrests of LocalBitcoin exchangers in Florida and the indictment of Charlie Shrem.  By regulating Bitcoin, they ensure that the large Bitcoin companies (CoinBase, etc) will enjoy a monopoly, becoming extremely vulnerable to government regulation and taxation. Small players will be forced out of business and new players will have a hard time getting into the game.  This has always been the model for banking in the United States and they are applying the same restrictive template to Bitcoin.

The government doesn't need to ban Bitcoin. All they need to do is impose taxes and regulation sufficient to keep the big Bitcoin companies on top, and the little guys out of the game.

My name is Dr. Michael Moriarty, and I own the Bitcoin Network of 50+ Bitcoin related sites, including https://BitPlastic.com, https://CoinChimp.com, https://BitLaunder.com and many more.  We are not going to pay 1 cent to the IRS or any other government agency.  Nor do we verify the identity of our customers.  Nor do we report our customer's financial transactions to any government agency whatsoever.

The beauty of Bitcoin is that the average person can use it to escape from the fiat currency ponzi scheme that characterizes our modern banking system.  By reporting your Bitcoin earnings to the IRS, you are implicitly embracing their financial scam and becoming part of it.

Beverely Rubik says 'you can recognize a pioneer by the arrows in his back.'  Maybe the IRS will put some arrows in my back, but they will have to find me first :-)
