can you rethink the difficulty retarget time?
with all the multipools jumping on and off it makes a coin really unreliable for ordinary users
imagine we are at 5gh with difficulty x
a giant multipool jumpes on and net hash rate jumpes to 10gh
now they have 16 hours to find blocks at twice the rate than intentioned (50s)
after 16h the difficulty doubles (2x) and the multipools jump off leaving the remaining miners to find blocks at half the intended rate (200s)
making it useless to mine for 16h
I appreciate your input, Careful planning and consideration has gone into the specifications of the coin to help avoid certain pitfalls and to ensure long term growth and minability (is that a word). There are a lot of what if's that we are unable to accurately predict, however we feel that DopeCoin is in a good position to succeed. |

Looks very interesting! Some questions.... 1) I have signed up to the Official pool - happy to pay 3% mining fee to help 2) I have a Mac. Is it OK to leave all my coins in the official pool until Mac client is release? I will probably go over the limit (whatever that is set to), but is it ok to keep mining even though I have no payout address yet? 3) How long until launch?  Thank you in advance! Cfx. 1. You should check out his previous history and other complaints before passing judgement on me. He was warned that if he acted inappropriately that there would be consequences.
This is an opportunity to notify the 270+ pool applicants that thought they signed up for a 0% pool that they are now paying 2%

Hello folks,
First of all I would like to thank each and every one of you for choosing to join me on this adventure. Without the communities support this project would have no chance of success.
DopeCoin was conceived around 3 months ago while browsing the BTC Talk forums and smoking a joint. The idea behind this project was to enter into a very large marketplace, provide a real solution to a real problem and ultimately take out any current or would be competitors with top of the line development and superior marketing techniques. A very ambitious goal, but something that I feel can be accomplished with the communities support.
This project is not about drugs as much as it is about freedom. DopeCoin's controversial nature and intended use should provide ample attention, both negative and positive, and is expected to help skyrocket DopeCoin's value. The next steps would be to enter into various exchanges, brick and mortar business's as well as various online marketplaces with the ultimate goal of achieving strong worldwide market penetration by late 2014.
I appreciate the communities support throughout this project and promise to do everything I can to reach the above mentioned goals as quickly as possible.
