No I'm pretty sure you don't have control over any private kes - all you have is your account so if they decide to close it for some reason you'll lose access to all of your funds. Guys if you're storing anything more than BTC2 I would suggest you just buy a Pi for $30 and set up a cold storage signing system using Armory/Electrum. Doesn't cost a lot to have a secure system implemented.
hi light, what is Pi anyway?
i never heard it before
i use multibit for now
823  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the best cloud mining site? on: June 21, 2014, 12:38:27 AM
forget cloud mining dude, just but BTC and save it
invest in bitcoin directly, sell at the right prices
cloud mining won't profitable anymore, just try calculate it

You could try PBMining, but I don't know if they are legit or not.

PBmining has been confirmed as legit by numerous sources on the Bitcointalk forums although you have to buy AT LEAST 10GHs. I would have personally loved the website if they let people just by 1 GH/s.
CEX.io is what I'm currently using although I can agree, the maintenance and electrical fees take a big chunk of your profit.
really?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484355.0

Thank you for rectifying my previous claim. Further research has shown that cloud mining isn't exactly a profitable scheme. The previous people that have replied to this post hold better methods. Such as investing in BTC and holding onto it or just buy the mining equipment yourself ( depending on pricing and electrical rates )
you're welcome Smiley
more precisely not profitable anymore, since difficulty of bitcoin mining increase almost 20% / 12 days Sad
you will get less and lesser bitcoin from cloud mining everyweek (if you use pbmining)
buy BTC - HOLD - sell in the right time to make profiit is more reliable for now
if you want mining in home, you must calculate your profit before you buy it Grin
824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet on: June 21, 2014, 12:31:36 AM
Coinbase for me.

Heads up: 3rd party wallets like Coinbase are not real wallets. They are held by a 3rd party. Those bitcoins are not under your control. This defeats the "trustless" nature of bitcoin. If you don't control the private keys, you don't control the bitcoins.

Let Gox be a lesson to you....
i thought in coinbase we can control private keys like we have done in blockchain.info
i never use it before
so i think we must avoid coinbase if we want full control of our keys
825  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Pbmining.com charging any fee? on: June 21, 2014, 12:28:58 AM
Hello! Is Pbmining.com charging any fee? I didn't see anything about fees in their website.
Kindly,
           Muhammed Zakhir
no, they pay us weekly using same formula with bitcoin mining calculator do
which is not possible if you do a real mining, solve a block and get reward
not fix payment every minutes like they do in their dashboard
watch out about pbmining, many people think they operated ponzi scheme Sad
826  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Cloud mining or Mining in home? on: June 21, 2014, 12:26:01 AM
The first is that you can count on electricity costs
then if you could ask your calculator here https://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator

cloudmining you can try to monitor cex, io or pbmining.
and if you ask for a cloud or mining house, it depends on your decision, you should be ready with all the
that calculator doesn't have many options to calculate mining or cloud mining profitability
i suggest you try this one
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator
check it out and you can see many options Grin
827  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: June 21, 2014, 12:17:45 AM
On https://cloudmining.guru/wp/ they got a good rating!
good rating but with red transparency

Haha yes, on https://cloudmining.guru/wp/ they even mention explicitly a possible "very well made ponzi scheme".
yeah i think that's very well made
since they planned their "virtual mining" 7 months ago. only a few people doubt about their scheme, so many people join it and make this ponzi works like magic Grin

On https://cloudmining.guru/wp/ they got a good rating!

Haha yes, on https://cloudmining.guru/wp/ they even mention explicitly a possible "very well made ponzi scheme".

The biggest red flag is that if they are legit they would want to kill these rumors and that would be easy by just posting wallet addresses they receive mining awards.
i bet they never do it
since they don't have more than 700 TH/s actual mining hardware
too bad, newbie who only know a few things about bitcoin think invest in pbmining will make them rich Sad

829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BitCoin faucets really worth the time? on: June 21, 2014, 12:09:59 AM
too bad, claim satoshi from faucet is very little now
hard to find 1000 satoshi on average per claim now
it's only 200-300 / claim Sad
to true mate.
and thats $1 or $2 after spending god knows how many hours of your time visitng the site.

I remember back in 2012 you could do a survey and get 0.5 bitcoins.. those were the days Sad

To be honest, no.

I think that they are just time wasters. Unless, you want to make 1 or 2 dollars.
wow very big paying survey  Shocked
if we calculate from recent price Tongue
how much 1 BTC priices in USD when that surveys give you 0.5 BTC?
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN:BCT COIN, SHA3-KECCAK-BITCOINTALK COIN [BCT]-POW on: June 21, 2014, 12:05:22 AM
@Team BCT

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=635824.0

Is Team BCT aware and on top of this?

If not, please contact Bittrex asap to avoid BCT from delisting there

Of course I understand that Bittrex listing is not secure and we need to get on other exchanges as soon as possible
what?!?!?
it's not even a month since BCT listed on bittrex and now the want delisted BCT
too bad, so low volume make it bad Sad
we must make more trade there
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: June 21, 2014, 12:03:21 AM
can you make permanent hide zero balance options?
or make an options which can use hide zero balance is default
i always tick hide balance box every time i open balances tab, it's so annoying for me
832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My view on faucets and earning bitcoins in general on: June 21, 2014, 12:01:07 AM
the multiply btc in freebitco.in seems profitable. if you have tons of luck.

i never won many bitcoin from multipy Sad
hate it, so i only get bonus from referrals Tongue

I would suggest getting a signature deal on this forum instead of filling in captchas on faucets.
for many newbies in bitcoin, faucet is the right place to know about biitcoin
since newbie can't join signature campaign, they must wait
but i agree with you, 1 post in signature campaign worth 100x more than faucet
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SunflowerCoin | pure pos | free & fair | Multipool launch on: June 20, 2014, 11:57:20 PM
Hi all!

I detect wallet cann't sync after block 36011.
Please, open your wallets and keep it open some time.
me too, that's so bad
since dev team abandoned this coin, we can't fix that issue
maybe you must move on and switch to another coins Sad
834  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: June 20, 2014, 11:55:18 PM
I changed it and now I lost every reason to join the PD Signature Campaign. Low rates, 100 posts/week cap and monthly payouts. That's not what I am looking for, at all.

Strange Stunna went lower than FX open which is at 125
Since that campaign is closed it is the next most competitive one
The only one open now is PD and with weekly payments for all those members sounds pretty tough to keep track of but maybe Stunna will switch to those type of payments.
yeah, it seems FXO is the best deal campaign for now
nice rate + max 125 posts / week + weekly payment
i'm sure everyone who participate in FXO will hold their spot there Grin
835  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: June 20, 2014, 11:52:55 PM
costa rica is the most surprise team in this world cup
no one guessed costa rica will won against uruguay and italy, and they proved they can
bye bye england Grin
how come two countries who have most competitive football league in the world can't make in qualified stage Tongue
836  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S1 Soon at a Loss - What to do With It? on: June 19, 2014, 04:39:43 PM
S3 is the replacement for the S1, for home and mid-range miners, and for replacing S1 farms.

The yet to be announced S4 will replace the S2, probably after S3 batches are sold this summer.
yeah S3 is for S1 replacement
since it's < 1 TH/s
so we need to buy many S3 (like we do with S1), and run it together to mine BTC
if their prices is good, maybe i'll buy and try it
837  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: June 19, 2014, 04:37:26 PM
if you have the hardware you might rent it for more than you could make from it.
yeah sure, everybody want to get profit from their hardworking
so rent price > mining income
but anyone can calculate are pbmining rent price > their mining income + electrical power bill + hosting & internet bill + maintenance & cooling + operational & their farm place rent for 5 years?
i'm sure to host 773 TH/s mining hardware you need big place and many expenses

maybe yes maybe no because they say sell
hardware on ebay for mine bitcoin we should think positive
as long as they still pay us every day of the week
can't you read my post before?
still paying doesn't mean they are legit
yes for now they paid weekly, but who can guarantee they will pay until 5 years of contract? no one, they can run anytime with customer coin
anyway, selling something in ebay doesn't mean they are legit, since ebay account can be purchase in blackmarket
they need show us their mining hardware photos, where pool that they mined bitcoin and generated coin income from their address
if they still don't show it, we can't trust them

good point ! i have some money invested here on pbmining, i planned to add more a week ago but a friend of mine told me to read this thread so i decide that i won't put my money in here anymore.

Now i am just sitting and waiting every week to get my initial investment back.
if many people think like the way you think, maybe pbmining will collapse soon
since nobody feed their ponzi anymore Grin
they can't pay previous customer
838  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] LuckyCheckIN.com - time based faucet ! up to 7.000.000 Satoshi! on: June 19, 2014, 02:49:07 PM

congratz for him
839  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S1 Soon at a Loss - What to do With It? on: June 19, 2014, 02:46:51 PM
hard to sell S1 now
it's good thing when i sold 2x S1 to my local friend
since S1 become unprofitable anymore and not good Watt/GHS
try to sell in your local market, maybe someone want it and buy from you
good luck to find buyer Tongue

Sell it and use the money to get an S3!   Cheesy

That thing is sexy as f##3!!!
i didn't find information about S3 before
where do you get that info? Grin

Here's the money shot:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656461.0

Drool city, drool drool city bitch!
thanks for the link
i thought they will make S3 for 2 TH/s before
it seems they make product with newer chips to reduce W/GHS
but so many people pesimistic about ROI in their S3 thread:(
840  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Piratcoin - Strong Coin! New give away fantastic show! old 3PC$ new 1.77PC$ on: June 19, 2014, 11:08:32 AM
we don't know
they never share their condition/problem anymore to us
best way is apply here and wait, maybe someday they will send us PC bonus Grin
but it's not good for users who have problem with their account Sad

Even worse because they've sent some money but unable to withdraw it Sad I never thought that he will be like this, he used to be a kind person, giving people free money for nothing Sad
why you can't withdraw it?
did you loose your master key too?
