821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 18, 2023, 08:43:35 PM
Onana is having hard time at United but that doesn't make him a bad goalkeeper, plus after having a few bad games, players tend to get worse because of lack of morale and he may have lost his focus. When you try to go "this game I am going to be better and not screw up" the chances of you screwing up increases, because you are too focused on not making a mistake and that makes you make a mistake even more.

The new goalkeeper signed for the purpose as David de Gea replacement is having struggles to fit into his new team's system. It's usually normal for every goalkeeper in their first season but André Onana own seems to be worst because he's not showing or making any important improvement. Erik Ten Hag still believes in him to do a better job. André Onana is already screwing things up in his first season at Old Trafford. It's very important he bounced back to actions because he can't continue making significant blunders on the pitch which often leads to his team conceding irrelevant goals.

If i was to suggest, I will say that he Onana should be on the bench for sometime and let the second goalkeeper start the matches. This might make him feel bad that he is about to lose his position as number one and he might wake up and start taking his job very serious because I don't see him like someone that knows that he is messing up with his career in Old Traford. I don't know why Onana is finding it very difficult to coupe in United compare to his brilliant performance in Inter last season.

823  Economy / Economics / Re: Dangers of combining company and personal funds in the same account on: October 18, 2023, 01:37:03 PM
OP, you are right one must not keep organization funds in where he can reach it easily, especially when he puts it in his house. This might be very risky when you will face some challenges that will lead to you using such funds, believing that you will be able to replace it. What if the funds is needed urgently by the organization and you can't afford to replace it at that moment. This will bring distrust, shame, embarrassment and tarnish of image. This is why one needs to avoid such act of mixing organization funds with your own personal funds because, must be tempted to use it. Putting the funds in the bank or channel it to the right person that should be in charge is the best for peace of mind.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: October 17, 2023, 08:28:23 PM
do you have any survival tips during war period?
The only thing is for you to try and look for a way to escape to the neighbouring country.

are there any business that I can do during a period of war so as to sustain my family?
Sell weapons, because this is the only business that will need attention and gives a lot of money. The reason is that weapons are made for wars.

Can I still budget, save and earn in Bitcoin?
If you are already earning in bitcoin in this forum, and there is still internet and power supply. Yes

- What is the economic impacts on individuals with families and how do I sustain them during war period.
If you are still in the country, the only way is to locate a refugee camp where you will be rest assured that it is secured and there will be provision of food and shelter.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Awareness - Welcoming New Bitcoiners with $1 Worth of Sat in Cameroon on: October 17, 2023, 06:45:52 PM
I am happy when I see people spreading bitcoin awareness and also teaching people that don't have the knowledge and want to know. It is a great job that you and your team did OP. The area that you said you guys taught them, I believe that they understood it because it is not easy to understand them in just a week. Seeing bitcoin awareness moving from Nigeria to Cameroon and Maybe later it will spread to Benin is something that will lead to more people adopting and using bitcoin, which is what this community was created for. I am very impress for sacrificing your time and resources for bitcoin. West Africa countries need bitcoin to survive the high rate of inflation in the country.
Kudos
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 17, 2023, 04:17:42 PM
Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?
I believe that in everything, what we should put first is love and understanding. If my the girl that I want to get married to says that I should quit gambling before we get married, I might find it difficult because, I can gamble in secrete and there is nothing at stake yet. If it happens that we got married, and she noticed that I still gamble, and tell me to stop, I don't have any option than to stop gambling for the sake of family. There are some habits in us that we must give up in our marriages to stay peaceful, because in marriage one much sacrifice for the other and vice versa for it to work. Although, I cab still gamble occasionally but it wouldn't be a habit anymore, since my wife is not cool with it.
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 17, 2023, 01:10:59 PM
OP, congratulations on a successful wedding. The bible says that he who finds a wife has find something good, and I can see that all over you and that is why you decided to give her half of your bitcoin to show that she is precious to you. I like your concept and I hope that you will teach her how to safeguard her bitcoin and the right wallet to use. You shouldn't just stop there but also create time to teach her more about bitcoin. Who knows, she might be a better hodler than you because women can save money and they wouldn't like to touch or spend it. You have really proved that you and your wife are now one, that was why you shared you bitcoin investment into two equal part and have her one part.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give Bitcoin investment time on: October 16, 2023, 08:18:11 PM
The getting rich quick scheme that they think bitcoin is, is what makes them get disappointed when it didn't turn out the way that they expected it. I believe this is the same reason, why newbies jump into trading. I see short term investors more of trading than investment, because an investment should take a good number of years before you can start to reap from the fruit of your labour. The problem is that we are in a world that people want to get rich overnight forgetting that, a genuine investment or business can't be so. Impatient, lack of knowledge and lack of preparation can make newbies think that bitcoin can give them fast profit and they will end up running at loss.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 16, 2023, 06:56:10 PM
Inter are going to play against Torino at the weekend. There has been some drop in Inter's form recently which caused them to lose 5 points. Sassuolo and Bologna caught them by surprise really. I think it is time for Inter to start a winning streak again. The first game of this streak should be this one against Torino.

Torino have been longing for a win for four weeks in the league. I think this series will continue for them. I expect Inter to return strongly from this national break. I expect a goal contribution from Martinez as usual.  Smiley
Although they will play the role of a visiting club in this match, it does not make their chances of winning smaller than the hosts. Still they are the favorites in this match.
I personally have faith in them, Inter Milan will finish this match with a victory and bring home 3 points from Torino headquarters.
Torino is not a very strong club, especially when compared to INter Milan. but I also still give them a chance, I mean maybe they will give Inter Milan a surprise that was not predicted before.
Let's not consider Inter recent performance that made them to drop point as an excuse for one to say that Inter wouldn't win the game. Inter is far stronger than Bologna and I don't see this match as a match that will be difficult for Inter to win. On the other hand, I wouldn't underestimate Bologna because sometimes a weak club can surprise their fans by winning a big club, and Bologna shouldn't be exempted from such. Although, due to where Inter is on the table , it is needful for them to win the match.

831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More secure ways of storing bitcoin? on: October 16, 2023, 02:58:43 PM
How do institutional investors store and protect their Bitcoin assets?
Institutional investors, such as hedge funds and corporations, have different ways of storing and protecting their Bitcoin assets than typical user wallets.
It depends on how the institution understands the safest means for them to keep their bitcoin . Some institutions might believe that exchange is the best place for them to keep their bitcoin safe, because they don't want to put the burden and blame if anything happens to their investment, they have who will be held responsible because they don't want to take the risk of keepin their bitcoin themselves. On the other hand, institutions that understands that it is only them that can keep their bitcoin safe, will use a hardware wallet so that they can be in full control of the safety of their coins. Such institution will go at any length to make sure that their funds is safe since they already understand that they are the one that will be responsible for any hack.

833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 15, 2023, 08:01:29 PM

Indeed, there is also a point, that after the Messi and Ronaldo era ended in the El Clasico match, at least that factor made the El Clasico match no longer have great appeal. But yes, considering Real Madrid and Barcelona at this moment at least have strengths that are not much different. Then of course, with that factor at least the El Clasico match this season will be more interesting than last season and or in the previous few seasons. But considering the number of conceded so far experienced by Barcelona, at least Barcelona defense has decreased at this moment. Because after all, the fact is that last season Barcelona was the team that conceded the least number of conceded until finally Barcelona won the La Liga trophy last season.
I think you guys are getting it all wrong the Elclasico has always been big even before Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonel Messi both reached their prime. The Elclasico has always been an important fixture in the Spanish La liga season. This is bigger than the player, it's a rivalry that would always be big any day any time. Yes Ronaldo and Messi gave it more appeal from neutral fans (non real Madrid or Barcelona fan) but anyone who is a core fan of both team or a strong follower of football would always anticipate this fixture.
Real Madrid great stars before Ronaldo has played El Classico and it has been a competition between these two clubs since. But what made Ronaldo and Messi period more interesting is that the two are both superstars at the same time and they are rivals to one another in clubs that are also rivals too. So it made it more interesting, and another thing is that, these two players have their own separate fans that prefer one to the other. These two players were also adding a lot of effort to make sure that their club is the best, and competition between themselves.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 15, 2023, 06:12:29 PM
Asides of the reining team of Manchester City i dotn see another team in that level to be a contender for this Champions League, maybe if Real Madrid with Bellingham still in this apce can have a chance, but they need a real number 9 you cant play with Joselu in this level.
Along with Manchester City, I consider Bayern Munich as a worthy contender for this year's Champions League title. This group is very strong. Their attack has been weak in recent seasons. But with Harry Kane joining the squad, Munich's attack has become stronger. I don't think Real Madrid team is strong enough to win the Champions League title. They don't have a perfect scorer now. Performance of vini and rodrygo is not stable. Also, the Barcelona team is also very strong this time. They will definitely want to do well in the Champions League.
Taking into account that Manchester City is also having trouble here and there in their games, I think yes there are a few teams that have a realistic chance to win the Champions League trophy while leaving aside some other teams that might be in for a surprise like we have seen with Inter Milan. But I still think that Manchester City has left a lot of potential in the tank. I am not sure about Bayern Munich, but when De Bruyne returns, I think they will be much stronger than now.

Manchester City's performance is a bit slow right now, it's true. They have not played well in the last two matches in the Premier League and have been defeated. However, they continued their dominance in the Champions League. They won both the matches and played very well. And it is easy to understand that Guardiola's main target is the Champions League. Guardiola will try his best to win the Champions League. At the same time, I consider the Bayern Munich team as a favorite because their coach Thomas Tuchel is quite experienced. And Munich's squad is also strong this season. Munich also have the potential to be champions.
I am no longer confident that Manchester city will be able to defend their champions league title this season. Other clubs are in top performance such as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Barcelona is also doing great and even the Arsenal of English premier League is doing extremely well.
In the English premier League, Manchester city has not been experiencing top performance as they have lost their EFL cup against NEWCASTLE United and they also lost consecutively in their English premier League outing which I do not consider normal with Manchester city.
Manchester city needs to sit up their performance because the addition of a player like Jude Bellingham to the Madrid squad is scary because it has up their performance to another level.
Where expecting them to be able to defend the title before, if it is so, it means that you have misses it. You wouldn't use the past to judge the present or future in football, especially when we are talking about Man City who luckily win UCL last season due to luck. This is what people don't know that even the best team needs luck to succeed. If it was Real Madrid, I can say that it might be possible because they are the club that have only won UCL back to back, and they are the league favorite and not Man city. This was why I knew it, that it will be impossible to Man City to do what only Real Madrid has done, because they are not different from other clubs. It would have been boring assuming Real Madrid won UCL last season because the vibes will not be there that much, compared to when a new and different club entirely won it.
835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 16k DOLLARS LOSS IN JUST 1 YEAR on: October 15, 2023, 05:24:51 PM
Trading isn't the best way to get profit and before you should trade, you are suppose to have learnt the fundamental mental analysis and technical analysis in trading so that you should know when to buy. You also didn't take your time to make research of which coin to buy and that was why you bought altcoin. Altcoins are used to scam people that is new into cryptocurrency and they don't have the knowledge that bitcoin is the only genuine cryptocurrency, or for greedy investors. Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that is worth investing in and don't ever think of trading but think of holding for a long time and how you can use to increase your bitcoin by accumulating through DCA.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 15, 2023, 01:57:27 PM
OP, I believe that we are from the same country and in Nigeria, if your house is built on government land or on a land that is too close to the government road and needs to be demolished, government do give compensation to the owners of those buildings, so that they can use the funds to get somewhere else to build on. Bitcoin is very risky compare to real estate due to the volatile nature of bitcoin and every scammers are online hunting for people that they will steal their bitcoin. If you don't secure it very well, your wallet will be compromise, but real estate is less risky. Why I love bitcoin and will advise my poor and average friends like me to invest in bitcoin is  that, you can invest with any amount and it is open to all. Unlike real estate that is only an investment for the rich. I love both investment and I believe that both of them are important.
837  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 14, 2023, 08:21:38 PM
You can get a loan on this forum and the lender does not need to know your identity. You will see services like that on the lending board on this forum. If you have collateral like altcoins, or if you are in a signature campaign, you get a loan on this forum.

But if the loan is through bank or those loaning apps, they will demand for your identity and if you default any loan, you will be reported in a way that other loaning sites and bank will know.
You are right, because this forum operates in a decentralized way. Why I said so is that nobody cares to know about your identity and they will also advice you to stay anonymous and that is why you must be in a signature campaign for the lender to be rest assured that you will be able to pay back. Apart from this forum, I don't think that there is anywhere that you will seek a loan from that wouldn't need your identity and your information. Whether be it online banking apps or our local banks or even money lenders. If they don't know your identity or have your information, it is like they are dealing with a ghost and how will you ask a ghost to repay his loan when you don't know how to reach him. In my country, you go in person to get the loan and if it is an online app, you must use your BVN in your application.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 14, 2023, 07:04:17 PM
Ever since I have being gambling, I have never thought of quitting and maybe it is because I haven't hit the jackpot yet. I don't always target to win big, neither do I see gambling as something that will give mW profit, because if you have such mindset, you might end up with big losses. Just like the Philippine woman that was aiming at the consolation price but finally became the winner. That is how gambling is, the day that you will hope to win, that day you will loss, but the day that you don't think of winning and you just want to have fun, that day is when you will win. That is why one needs to set aside little money to gamble with.
839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 14, 2023, 05:33:11 PM
CZ is talking from his experience, and anyone that has experience previous halving already know that this is what happens close to the halving and after the halving. I believe that the past three halving, bitcoin followed the same pattern and this next one wouldn't be different, history will be repeated again. Everyone is waiting patiently and watching how the market is moving to see if there will be much expectations from the halving, and maybe that is when more nocoiners will start buying, when they are carried away by the hype. Just keep on accumulating and forget about whatever anyone is saying about the next bull run because bitcoin price will shock a lot of people.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 13, 2023, 07:36:29 PM

Arsenal team has been performing impressively well right from there last season they were almost unbeatable .
I would rather Arsenal before the last ten games of last season where in amazing form. They were solid from the back and front, but further than that they have just been good. And this season big game hasn't been the one for Arsenal to win and Lens embarrassed them in the UEFA champions league. In as much as the Gunners defeated Manchester city I would say it was a city filled with injuries and the midfield of city were inexperienced I would have expected Arsenal to dominate the game.
You are right with what you said, but you should also know that if there is no weakness or mistake from a club, the opponent wouldn't be able to win. I see Arsenal victory over Man City as a superb one despite the challenge that Man City had due to injured players. You should also take note that, it was this same opportunity that City used to get rid of Arsenal from winning the trophy last season. At the middle of the season Arsenal players had injury and because there was no good substitute, Man City took over the first position from them. This is football and the strong team must always win, and there will be no excuse that because we are weak, that was why you guys won us. Victory is victory no matter how it is achieved.
