Smiley

I'm still curious, what is the purpose of $10 minimum to add funds to the card?

There are certain transaction costs and it serves as a sort of "fool-proof" filter

What about Bangladesh. I don't see my country name in country list to use Bitcoin Debit Card.
Requesting to add Bangladesh in available country list.

Thanks

cannot issue cards to Bangladesh unfortunately - it is a limitation of our bank

@gosha@e-coin: Don't get me wrong. Actually i really like the idea behind your business. I'm planning to order another card in EUR and also to open an account with you for my wife.
Despite my problems with the cards and some fees (mainly because of my local currency), i really really appreciate what you does and i believe that your "project" is very innovative and has a bright future in front of it. Thank you  Smiley
Just placed my order for the EUR car.
@gosha@e-coin: do you have something like email, skype, mobile phone, where i can directly communicate with you. You seems like a very nice guy and i want to use your services in the future, so it'll be good if we can stay in touch. Also i want to verify my account, and I'm wondering if my governmental issued ID (Identity card) is enough for verification. I can send you ID or Drivers license or Passport, which one is better?
Also about the proof of address, my address is written on the back side of my ID. I also got a bank statement. Most of my utility bills are on name of my landlord, because in Bulgaria when you rent a flat/an apartment you usually don't change the bills (water/electricity so on) partitions. Our mobile operators don't print your address on their receipts/invoices. So i'll appreciate your guidance on the topic.
Is ID - front and back side enough to verify both my identity and address?
Thanks.

P.S. Have around $79 (after the EUR card order) in my e-coin account. Tried to load my USD card with $70 - "Service unavailable - try again later". Tried with $50 - "Service unavailable - try again later".
Is the issue on your side? or i do something wrong. Maybe its because it's Sunday (aka time for maintenance and improvements for most Internet companies and providers)

the contact e-mail is support@e-coin.io, you can address any questions there

If you have the address written on the back of the ID, that works, because it is a government issued document

The service was partially unavailable during the weekend, apologies for that, all up and running now

@gosha@e-coin the promotion about the cards is 4 days left.
Will there be the new design of the card when you ship to the winners
Or you will ship these blank black bitcoin debit cards?

still the generic black one
828  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 30, 2015, 11:48:55 AM
I just ordered the card with standard shipping how many times it take to delivery ?

depends on where you are - what country, how close to the country's capital, how reliable local post is..

Morocco, dude

Standard delivery to Morocco can take anywhere between 2 and 8 weeks, depending on local post
829  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 25, 2015, 10:01:38 AM
we are working on own design both for the card and for the accompanying letter.
that said, merging bitcoin with tranditional banking infrastracture is not as straightforward as it may seem. Putting ANYTHING related to bitcoin on a debit card is still a bit of a grey area
personally I wouldn't buy a debit card that has anything printed that can relate to bitcoin.
here most people don't give a....i saw one lady 3-4 months ago, paid with prepaid american visa. i told this to the worker in our grocery store, it looks like they don't care. The worker wasn't aware about "prepaid visa" at all. So if i have "bitcoin" printed ill proudly show up in our stores. I mean 99% of people here will thing that its the next good looking bank card...
The card really looks good by the way

Can you take a photo of your card received from e-coin.io ?
Hide your details but i just want to see the design of it as you say that is different from the e-coin website.
@gosha@e-coin i think the high fee are the monthly 1$ sms fee and maybe the sell price of bitcoin.

the monthly $1 is only charged (by the bank, nothing to do with E-Coin as a bitcoin buiness) when the card is used, and pretty much any bank would charge at least the same for a debit card, unless it is one linked to your salary account, which is a very different story.

The sell price of bitcoin is certainly a bit higher than you see advertised by exchanges, etc, but there simply needs to be a certain cost involved to maintain the platform running. You can barely expect your local shop have the same prices as a wholesale warehouse 100 miles away, it is simply a different service and business model

Good. The updated fees page is a lot more straightforward now.

we are working on own design both for the card and for the accompanying letter.

any idea of when the cards with the design (as shown on your website) will start shipping??

that design or a different custom one - hopefully within a few months

Fee is rather high for all the btc debit card out there. If anyone know a low fee one, please let us know.
Currently most of bitcoin related debit cards have high fees but as more peoples take interest and buy then we hope these companies will cut fees

guys, what exactly are the high fees you are talking about?
833  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 24, 2015, 10:09:37 AM
My experience till now is horrible.
Got one card today from "MyChoice". Spent over 10 BGN (around $7) on phone calls to UK.
Found out that the card is issued by MyChoiceCorporate.com for E-Coin. But they made some stupid mistake and the card is invalid.
Also the card has nothing to deal with E-coin, nothing about the E-coin in A4 or on the card. I contacted MyChoice business support to found out that my account with them is actually related to E-coin. (it took to their support 10 minutes + i almost gave him my complete card number, because he/she was unable to found it based on the last 4)
Guys this is HORRIBLE!!!!!
"Partha says:
Sir, please be informed that we had an issue with our vendor , due to system issue there are lot of cards which has been sent to the card holders ,
*Me* says:
so you just issue visa cards like a crazy
*Me* says:
and don't give a shit about the end result
Partha says:
Now please have a note on the card "

What a joke? Can i have 10 or 15 cards for my paypals? It looks like you give them on a kilogram?

why did you have to spend time and money on calling MyChoice when all you needed to do was activate the card on www.e-coin.io and get the PIN there as well??
Maybe because i received the card with RoyalMail, and nothing about E-coin. Just Mychoice and their mobile number and email.
How I'm supposed to know that the card is from you?
And based on MyChoice the card is INVALID!
Do you want me to post the letter, A4 + the card, so i can show to everyone here, that it has 0 information about E-coin.
Sorry, but I got payoneer, neteller, okpay and so on, and all of them have their logo or something in the documents.
With my card, its onyl MyChoice.
So please answer to me:
How im supposed to know that the card is from E-coin? without your logo or details on the card/in documents?

we are working on own design both for the card and for the accompanying letter.

834  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 24, 2015, 09:12:39 AM
Maybe the price changed at that time
No, I tried to log out and log in again. Different prices were shown (as above) when I was logged out and when I was logged in.

Well this is not good then, e-coin seems that they just want to bring new people to use their platform and their cards.

Honestly if this happened and will happen then they will lose their users and this could be as anti marketing for them, I'm very disappointed.

there is little point in bringing in new people if they don't use the platform after signing in.
As explained above, there is a difference between "buy" and "sell" rates, and, following common practice in the industry the rate shown in the home page is the "buy" rate
How does this "buy" and "sell" price separation apply to your use case? Your service only implies buying bitcoins by you from users. Besides, the same higher rate you display for logged-out users is displayed in the "live rate" (implying that you would buy bitcoin at this rate) on your home page, but once one logs in and tries to actually load a card, the rate you offer is much lower. An odd misleading trick.

"buy" is the function we don't have yet, but plan to implement.
again, this is the way most companies out there show it, so, following a number of customer complaints and questions about rate differences we decided to follow the same pattern.

That said, quite open to feedback and opinions

836  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 24, 2015, 07:38:08 AM
How come that before I log in your website shows the following exchange rates:
฿1=$230.23 €205.98 £151.12
But after I log in:
฿1=$224.56 €200.83 £147.34
(substantially lower)

Today i have seen the same rate as in bitsmap
Which was not before, but i have not been logged.
Maybe the price changed at that time or e-coin is "tricking" us lets see the official response i am interested to know what is happening.

"buy" rates are always different from "sell" rates. Most companies out there show the "buy" rate in the home page, so does E-Coin

I don't know if it is scam or not.
But their email doesn't work:
"Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

And
The order for my physical Visa Debit card in USD was placed on 09/14/2015, nothing till now. No tracking number, no update, just "pending...".

mate, it's not always easy to be sure who is who in the forum, but if we identified your request right, it has been addressed and resolved.

please, confirm all ok, as using the words you have used should really not be used unless it's a fact..
839  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 23, 2015, 07:53:19 AM
My country is listed there, but haven't heard any one use it nor accept it here

what is your country?
840  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: September 23, 2015, 07:52:15 AM
My card transfer went AWOL for some reason. Deposited BTC, transferred to card, confirmed it.

No transfer to card took place, no transaction visible, and account balance has been deducted.

Sent a support ticket, hope it gets resolved soon.

if not yet resolved, will be shortly
