we hear about cool and new bitcoin ideas every day and also how these ideas will improve the standing of bitcoin. a cool feature that makes it better than fiat.
i want to talk about one such feature. bitcoin can reduce the trust we need when money is involved. let us say i want to bet a friend of mine and to make sure we pay after the bet is resolved we use a smart contract.
this sounds fine and reduces the trust needed.
but in fact we just shifted the trust to the coder who made the smart contract. sure we could verify the code, but how many people can do this (remember the DAO)? my mother can certainly not.
so in order to make smart contracts a big point for bitcoin we will need generations and maybe even have some sort of basic smart contracts training in schools. so this is not very likely.
even today nobody reads the fine print and just trusts that everything will work out fine (most people think they can sue to get the money back is something fishy happens). but all we need with smart contracts is just one misspelled letter and the money can be lost without recovery.
people are dumb, so fiat works just fine for them. bitcoin might be to advanced for people to really go mainstream without destroying many peoples lives, because they made a small mistake or trusted the wrong code/people.
can we solve this problem? should we get used to the losses? or is this one of the reasons bitcoin will never go mainstream?
Bitcoin will not go fully mainstream in the developed world until governments ban cash, because then and only then people will see the magic and value of bitcoin. Until then, we are the pioneers of this thing. Poor unbanked countries will maybe jump on bitcoin before the developed world does. It will keep growing as a better gold anyway. Also smart contracts in the bitcoin will be solid and very simple, none of that ETH/DAO bullshit. Government will never prohibit cash but bitcoin will play an important role in the future although appeared new crypto currencies. Well Bitcoin is what ? Nothing but combination of cryptography and blockchain. Bitcoin already have proved its existence. As well in todays world many of thing are going to be decentralized. As already steamit with decentralized social media, Decent with decentralized, content distribution and so many of are going decentralized. Even governments also testing blockchain technology for better administration and governance. But most important thing is how blockchain works ? It works with computing power. It means it needs energy. In short overview world is becoming digital. But at grass root level there is need of fiat currency. And it will be. Because without Fiat Currency Bitcoin also have no value. |

First will like to know which money is talking about.
Money as per my thinking is a just mode of exchange. In today world we already have decided prices of things which are evaluated in fiat currency. As any of asset is counted or calculated in market with fiat currency.
So money just only move not increase. So saving money can be just used for necessities. But invested money can give ROI.
But...
in 21 century human have invented amazing tool which is bitcoin. and everyone of you know what is bitcoin.

I have seen some very nice arguments in this thread. Most interesting thing for me is that banks cant steal money from us, I remined how much I give to my bank each month for credit cards, for my account, for transactions. They are taking from me more then 10 euros each month, and that is a lot for my salary, more then 5 %.
I would like to be my own bank, and I to have my money for me and not to give them money every month. That wouldn`t be such big deal, but they are so unkind when ever I go there. They are acting like I`m idiot and they sit there in nice suits, and womans are dressed very nice, with big nails haircuts. Well I`m getting sick in my stomach when I think about that.
Banks can't steal money from us? Ok, but if it gonna be bitcoin bank it will be totally the same system. And it is also possible to steal all of your bitcoins, cause of wallets and exchangers can't guarantee you total security. Banks does steal money from us. How? Well they use money that we deposited from them and use it to loan it to other people with high interest, after that they will give us little interest per yer, in which inflation will take place that will lower the buying power of our money saved, Lets not be outsmarted by greedy banks lets find other ways to save money. Excellently mentioned. Appreciate. As Bank are making money on "money" same as we can call generating money because they have such tool/instruments, also these bank are regulated. But Bitcoin gave common man that much mobility with its feature and futures which are admirable and give opportunity to generate cryptocurrency with mining and cryptocurrency are actually assets which can be traded in market with certain exchange value which is in form of virtual digital currency. |

But as I read past few post many are advising not to join. I just have joined this amazing concept today lets see what happen to next.

No I don't think. As already some of private as well as government banks are started to test blockchain technology for giving better banking services with transparency and security. Citibank have already announced about own cryptocoin launching to market. Even many domestic banks also trying it. But it can matter with governance as Bitcoin is decentralized currency. And if banks goes decentralized then it will be harmfull for economy o particular country. |

I am belonging India and In India still government not allowed Bitcoin as legally. But many of service are currently using bitcoin as payment method. I have recharged my friend cell phones with bitcoin payments. Even few services are in phase to implement bitcoin as a payment integrate for better solutions.

As if any one wish to get stake for bitcoin and when anyone make a deal with huge capital price of bitcoin will go high as last 2012 price of bitcoin was reached to 1151 USD. And some user who invest with huge capital if sell it it called as dumping.

I use bitcoins most of for digital services a I have few websites which are about related to cryptocurrency. So whatever I earn I spend for advertising on A-ads, Adbit.co, Coinurl etc for getting more and more targeted traffic to my websites. Which bring me more revenue.
I am doing it since from 2012. Also have investing in ICO and altcoins with good future.
