1702  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: March 30, 2016, 10:56:38 AM
What's the worst mistake you did with your Bitcoin? It can vary from starting to use Bitcoin to buying dumped Altcoin to gambling.

The worst mistake I made with Bitcoin is... Buying cloud mining hashrate. I bought 0.02 GH/s CEX.IO hash rate voucher at SEOClerk for $2 USD - or maybe $1 USD. I thought with 0.02 GH/s, I would be making a profit in half a year.. And I was wrong.

Well, I bought using the free five dollars coupon. So that does not count as making a mistake with Bitcoin. However, the slow profit lead me to buying hashing power from CEX.IO and later on.. ZeusHash using the Bitcoin I earned from signature campaign.. Again, I thought I would be making profit in a few months. Till today, I'm sure I have not make any profit from both the company yet. CEX.IO stopped their cloud mining operation and.. ZeusHash.. What do you think.?

"Mistakes learn a lot"

I have also made few mistakes. But biggest mistake made ever send 1 BTC for buying(renting) hash rate and person(Amrik Singh) scam me.

I have already lost on gambling, multiplyer, and altcoin trades but still fascinated about Bitcoin.
1703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explain WHY bitcoin will be worth 1-3000 USD on: March 30, 2016, 10:46:10 AM
Hi,

Can all of you bitcoin and market gurus please explain for a dumb kid like me WHY bitcoin will and can be worth 1000-3000 USD (some say $10000 to $1MIL which I find weird?!).
One reason I think I've understood is that once all the bitcoins are mined and bitcoins goes global... we can kinda set the price. Is this correct?

Please list every reason and explain it like it's for a 10 yr old. I often see "BITCOIN WILL REACH THE PRICE XXXX USD" but never a reason why.
My heart says I should hold on to all of my bitcoins but my paranoid brain says "No. Plenty of crashes before that."

Thanks in advance.

because owning bitcoins gives you rights of ownership of the relative data stored on the Blockchain, which is the world's biggest, more widespread and popular p2p decentralized network, hence bitcoins have an intrinsic value.
because bitcoins have the pros without cons of gold, which makes them and ideal store of value.
because bitcoins have the pros without the cons of cash, which which makes them the ultimate payment method for in person trades.
because bitcoins have the pros without the cons of electronic payment systems, and are much more secure and fast than those, which makes them the ultimate payment method for online trades.
because bitcoins are non inflationary, which means that if demand and adoption grow, their value is bound to rise.
and many more reasons, these are the most notheworthy.

you would just need one of these reasons to justify such prices, but you have all of them.

I think you are right, but its also the fact that we are making the price of the bitcoin with the whole bitcoin itself so I think we can also say the price is made by our self right ?

Its also the fact that the halving is coming and that will let the price go to a high amount or maybe to a lower amount, you of course never know what is gonna happen.

Indeed, you are right the price will go to a high amount soon or later, this is of course because of the different factors the bitcoin depends on.
One of them is the halving that will let the price jump another one is that the people are believing again in the bitcoin.

The price will go to a high amount that is true, but the halving can also be a bad thing for the bitcoin and can get it collapsed.
In my opinion this could happen, most likely not but the bitcoin is not to predict, the only thing that can give the bitcoin a very good boost is the halving.

I think after halving bitcoin will get stability in price at certain high point as it will be finished mining for generating bitcoins only used for transactions verification only.

At that point Bitcoin only used for trade or exchange on P2p market as well as B2b market. So more chances on bitcoin price are high.

1705  Local / India / Re: How to explain bitcoin? ? on: March 21, 2016, 09:59:23 AM
Well its all depend upon skill how you introduce "Bitcoins" to new peoples. As normally english is global conversable language.

So making awareness about new concept to new people is quite challenging thing for local enthusiast/entrepreneur.

Three things are very important.
1) Trust
2) Faith &
3) Belief

Before giving any information person must have to trust all things that he want to tell to new person who is totally unknown about it.

If you have trust in anything that you want to introduce then only you can give faith to person who is in front of you.

If person faith in what you are telling him then only he can believe in things that are totally new for him.

I have a problem in explaining bitcoin to people in Hindi.I dont know the Hindi equivalent of many words like cryptocurruncy, peer to peer etc I was wondering is there a easy way to explain Bitcoin to someone layman who doesn't understand English?

Sometimes, it is better to retain the original English technical words, rather than inventing something in Hindi as its translation.
No point in reinventing the wheel.  Smiley

Yes but you cant mention some english words to villagers and expect them to understand it.You need to coin new words

Bitcoin is tech concept and everything relate to it is can only be understand by computer literate person so there will be total lost of time to literate farmers about Bitcoin.

Even many educated people still not understand what is bitcoin exctelly.

I deposit 0.002

I think such a multiplier are scam stay away from them. Whatever amount you spend is total loss of your bitcoins. By chance you could get return on your first time never try it for second time.
1709  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: March 21, 2016, 09:07:29 AM
I think before make trust in Bitcoin everyone should have to trust in Cryptography technology. If we understand and believe in Cryptography then we must have to believe in Bitcoin.

It has great future if we trust in it. And it brings world more closer and will take to new level of exchange/trade.

1712  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: March 21, 2016, 08:45:51 AM
I think USD is only comparable thing against bitcoin. As we can evaluate bitcoin in USD for exchange. Bitcoin has its own height. If we see future, Bitcoin will be stop generating after halving, so other cryptocurrencies will be used for trading and Bitcoin price will go higher.

1716  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: March 19, 2016, 04:04:07 PM
What a great platform Yobit brings for users of Bitcointalk Forum. I really appreciate their marketing strategy.

I am talking about Signature campaigning.

Realtime payouts on daily basis is great idea for old account holders. They have ability to earn bitcoins on daily activity in forum with level. Daily if person makes less posts then will not get paid for that. In certain time span user have to complete their task according to TOS. And get paid in bitcoins by Yobit.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm holding some ETH on: March 19, 2016, 09:54:58 AM
ETH has great IPO also have lots of features but still its future is floating due to halving. It has already assume many coins to be generated even Microsoft invested in Ethereum for application development. So In coming years ETH might be one of the precious currency used for trading in ecommerce.

1720  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loan up to 5 Bitcoin on: March 19, 2016, 07:28:14 AM
Well I have asset worth more than 10 BTC as I have 4 domains out of two already running and planning to run remaining also.

Check my domain http://digitalbit.co.in, http://bitgold.co.in, http://betbit.co.in, http://sendmebit.co.in.

Well have plan to go for investment where will get profit upto 120%+ depends on investment. So Need of max amount you can afford to loan. I have good reputation also has active social profiles.

Those are plain domains.I can understand the first two are running live but what is the proof of the revenue ? If you can produce a proof that the websites are making more than 10BTC to suffice the need of 120% of the loan amount,it may qualify as a collateral. For a expericened member you should be aware of what is considered as a valid collateral https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0 .Don't think any of your assets are worth 10BTC unless you provide income reports to the OP.

First two website worth $1500 Each to its equal to $3000.
