821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 09:12:12 PM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?
No, I don't let emotions get too high when I'm gambling. Of course I'm not a machine and I feel really tempted into giving up to my emotions, but I always try to be rational on my decision of stopping when I have to stop, without further debates with myself. Once I set a limit which I can't cross, I won't cross that, doesn't matter how I desire to keep gambling to chase losses and finish my session on green.

I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.
That is normal, as like every of us, you want to finish your gambling play with profit on your pockets. When we are winning it's easier to stop, since we aren't greedy gamblers, because we wish to spend the earned money someway else, especially if you already had something in mind to purchase, but were lacking the money to do so. However, it's hard to accept a loss, so when we hit a long loss streak, automatically our mind tells us to continue playing, as the easiest solution for the problem... You just have to be stronger than that and give up on the idea of keep playing when you are losing.

What I keep in mind when I'm losing is that by continuing playing, I'm going to lose even more money, without thinking on the positive possible outcomes. That is: I'm heavily pessimistic, and in this case it's quite good, because it prevents me from putting myself in dangerous situations.

big problem I had 66 rounds of WOF, I did them all and I received nothing in my account neither in satoshi not in rp nor in lottery ticket

USER ID1891432

who delete my message wtf

Your previous message is still on here. Never had an issue like that but there is no history on the website where you could see what you won with the WOF spins so it could just be a bug. TheQuin is pretty active on this forum and will take a look into it to solve this issue.
Actually, you can access your "MULTIPLY BTC" tab and check the "ROLL HISTORY" for Wheel spins' outcomes there, which are mixed with bets results and faucet's rewards.

Check it, the 66 spins' results must be there... Or at least a part of them, because the history is pretty limited. You can click "OLDER" button to see previous history's pages, but it doesn't go too further.
823  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The rate of divorce in the society on: January 28, 2024, 06:33:12 PM
Our ancestors didn't have many choices, before there was no internet, pornography, TV and other access that made them have varying standards of beauty. So the standard of beauty according to our ancestors was based on the area they lived in. compare it to today, with access at your fingertips. We have very broad fantasies and beauty standards, so nowadays it is very difficult to commit to marriage and respect the partner we choose in marriage, only strong people can. but yes, it depends on the person too. in my country the divorce rate is very low.
Also, our ancestors didn't have the alternative to divorce, with rare exceptions, because it was against the morals and laws during the ancient times. To be a divorced individual in past times was a curse, especially for women, who totally lost their values inside the society, so they prefered to remain married, even if unhappy, as after measuring the pros and cons, they reached to the conclusion it was more benefical to them to stay together, at least formally, in front of the society.

Nowadays the society doesn't see divorced individuals in a negative way anymore, so people don't feel socially prejudiced when deciding to abandon their partners. There isn't a punishment by doing so anymore. It's quite the opposite, they see this as a new opportunity to find someone new and better than the previous one. That is what we call "liquid love". They don't last for long, they aren't solid, they are volatile and in other cases highly artificial.

People just use each other and once they get bored, they go to the next one. It's the individuality trait of the "self" exercising full control over the individual, and demanding to be served by the world outside incessantly, without giving anything back in counterpart.
824  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 28, 2024, 06:19:27 PM
Having a steady and regular income is very important as a gambler because it would enable you to scrap out money you should use for gambling, feeding, taking care of yourself and family and other miscellaneous.
Actually, steady and regular income is a must for someone in order to be a gambler, in my opinion. Otherwise, this person isn't suited to be a gambler, because they lack a very essential requirement, which is "to have money they can afford to lose". Someone who lacks a steady income or a job should be seeking for that, instead of gambling. Without a regular income, where is this person getting money from in order to bet? Maybe from charity, wellfare programs or freelances?

If so, the money should be used for basic expenses, to invest in personal educational development, or to start a small retail business, so it can become a regular source of income later. But if the person is spending everything into gambling, it's likely he is never going to improve his life standards, unless he is very lucky to hit a jackpot once in a lifetime and then become a millionaire or billionaire suddenly. I believe that is what these gamblers dream about, so they keep insisting on this practice, even though they should be more responsible and stick themselves to more solid and concrete goals.

However, this idea isn't encouraging for them, because it demands effort, hard work and time, while in gambling the promises of easy, instant and abundant money are more tempting, even if they are never going to work...
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 06:07:23 PM
My personal theory is that man planned to go gambling and only stay in the casino for a moment, however he may have gotten hooked to the games in the casino and before he realized, 5 hour had already happened. That is that only logical explanation I can think of this incident, otherwise, I don't understand why he did not hired a babysitter if he knew he was going to spend that much time gambling away his money and not caring about his children.
I agree with your theory. The toddlers were taking a nap inside a closed room, so the father thought it would give him enough spare time to go gambling at the local casino for a while, and get back home in time to still have his sons sleeping, therefore he wouldn't need to hire a babysitter. However, he has probably lost notion of time while gambling, possibly due to be facing a lucky streak on his gambling session, since he has come home with 2000$ on his pockets, so the 5 hours have passed like 5 minutes on his deteriorated addicted mind.

Moreover, we don't know if he was gambling in secret, so if he hired a babysitter, he would have to explain his wife the reason why he did so, instead of being at home with his sons. The way he acted, also displays it wasn't a planned decision in advance, but more like a sudden impulse he had to gamble immediately, so he took the "opportunity" and went for it without measuring the consequences.

It's still a mistery, though, how the twins managed to leave the closed room and got to the streets. Those are smart toddlers who were likely to have got extremely desperate by waking up alone, crying loud and not seeing any of their parents around, so their survival instinct led them to act the way they did.
826  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: January 28, 2024, 05:54:28 PM
Is anyone else waiting to receive funds back from them? Did you manage to match all your account's informations with your documents, or did you manage to get a reply from their support?

I received an email today by Stretto saying all their applications (app and webstite) are going to be shut down around February 28, next month. However, many people can't get a reply from the support (for months already) to confirm if their data is correct in order to receive part of the funds back into Coinbase account. I fear once the app and website are shut down there won't be anything else to do, and then we won't be able to receive a single penny back.

Total lack of contact with support and sharing of consistent informations. We only have access to posts on that shitpool called "X" social media, where lots of people complain about the same issue of not having access to their personal accounts, being unable to update documents or for not being replied by support. In response, there are only random scammers telling them to send private messages to other random X's accounts who would hypothetically help them to recover their funds.

I think this act of omission from Celsius company should be addressed to the legal action's process. They are maliciously preventing customers from updating and confirming their data in order to not fulfill the court's decision.

And Stretto is just washing hands. I sent them a message and they replied this:

After that, no more replies from Stretto, while Celsius has never replied. There isn't anyone else to appeal to. Is the court also going to wash hands on this?
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: January 27, 2024, 11:39:13 PM
I measure my success in crypto universe by the fact it's helping me financially since I started adopting it as investment and as a side hustle. I can't say I'm the magnate of cryptocurrencies, who completely changed his life, but I'm thankful it's helping me to keep some money for the future, besides allowing me to pay part of my daily expenses. I consider this a success already, although I still hope to continue improving within time.

And if I can help someone else through sharing my personal experience, I would say them to get away from uncertain and high risk altcoins, and to focus their money in Bitcoin currency. Moreover, don't expect to get rich on this industry overnight. Progress takes years to be achieved, so you have to take into consideration you will stay on this area for several years until solidifying consistent returns, unless you are already a wealthy person who has a lot of money to invest since the very beginning, what unfortunatelly, isn't the case of most of us.

Take advantage of every earnings opportunities you may find in this market. If you earn in altcoins, exchange into BTC, and hold most coins you can thinking on future increasements in price.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hey Gamblers, Here's Some Questions for you. Would Love your Responses on them on: January 27, 2024, 11:22:32 PM
1. What's the most effective method for discovering a new online casino when you're seeking a change from your usual options?

  • Exploring the Bitcointalk forum
In my opinion that is the best alternative when looking for online casinos, because here at bitcointalk forum you can check the casino's reputation immediately through reviews made by neutral parties, which aren't directly connected to the platform. While at other websites, we don't have this assurance, because we don't know who write the reviews, what means it can be casino itself reviewing themselves positively.

2. How would you describe your overall satisfaction with any of the mentioned options?
  • Highly satisfying
Always I wished to discover a new platform I looked the alternatives being promoted on this forum and the experience has always been pretty positive for me. I don't have anything to complain about it.

3. Would you recommend a beginner to follow a similar approach based on your personal experiences?
Of course. If it worked for me since I was a beginner, why wouldn't it work for other newbies? I totally recommend newbies make their research through bitcointalk forum when choosing where to gamble. The best casinos of the industry are being promoted here.

4. In your opinion, should online casinos adopt corporate social responsibility practices? If yes, what specific initiatives would you like to see them undertake? If no, what is your reasoning behind it?
What do you mean by social responsabilities? To donate funds to charity? To ban accounts from degenerated gamblers? Well, if they are making a lot of profit, it wouldn't be bad if they returned part of that money back to the community which keeps them alive and thriving.

But to say the truth, I would be satisfied if they just kept creating more jobs spots inside the industry, while promoting responsible gambling, in a transparent manner, just like we do on this forum, talking about the positive, but also the negative and realistic sides of gambling practice.

Moreover, they should really stop social influencers' campaigns which deceive the public by telling the fans gambling is an extra income method and that you will get rich, plus earn money easily and instantly by betting. In my opinion the biggest social responsability someone has is to tell the truth and to be transparent with the public.
829  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 27, 2024, 08:32:22 PM
Yes, it is very difficult to save and invest at the same time, but if we can do it, of course this will be very good when we have retired from work and we can still get income from what we invested when we were young.
I fear this is the only alternative. Without investments we can't reach anywhere. By only saving you will just see your money's value being eaten by inflation. I remember those old people who were used to take a big portion of their wages and store it below their mattresses for decades... Once they or their sons decided to finally use that money, it wasn't enough to purchase nothing too expensive, considering how long it has been stored there. By doing this dumb saving, they were wasting money, time and all their labor years working hard for nothing at all in the end. And everything because they weren't educated on financial matters. Imagine how much patrimony their families could have built, if they had received proper guidance along their lives.

Thankfully now with internet and Bitcoin, we have more knowledge and earnings opportunities available for everyone, without being necessary to have been born in a rich family of economists and businessmen to learn about finances and have access to profitable investments. Undeniably, investment opportunities are more widely spread nowadays than in past times, so individuals can start investing since a very early age in order to achieve a more comfortable financial future once their reach on their 40's or 50's.
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where may we likely see BTC post halving? on: January 27, 2024, 07:45:55 PM
I prefer to keep myself more conservative about predictions on post-halving Bitcoin. As we can see through BTC's history, each new halving brings lower increasements in price, so probably we aren't going to see something like 11,000$ to 69,000$, taking the last bull season cycle from 2021 as example. Then I guess something around 100,000$ for this current cycle seem solid. It's not a x6 profit opportunity anymore, but it's still possible to expect doubling your investment, what seems quite interesting from a realistic perspective.

We have to be aware the early days of Bitcoin, when prices skyrocketed and millionaires were made in a matter of days, are gone. Now the industry is large enough to be more competitive and opportunities tend to get more scarce as the time, regulations and adoption go by... But of course, I would like to see Bitcoin doing much better than that, and if it's possible to happen yet, I will be joyful!
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 27, 2024, 07:15:01 PM
Personally, I don't like the word Gambler tbh. And it feels more worse when someone calls someone a Gambler in the local language.
Why? Is it due to the stigma your local society carries about gambling practice and its enthusiasts? So you feel inferiorized and marginalized by being called a gambler? Well, you shouldn't feel bad about it, since you aren't prejudicing others with your gambling habits, neither prejudicing your own life. People should learn to distinguish the problem gamblers from the average gamblers, who correspond to the biggest portion of them, and don't have any major negative consequences over their lives due to practicing this activity.

If someone calls me a gambler, I will tell them yes, I gamble from times to times, and even though there might be a law condemning such activity, plus society's common sense, I don't feel belittled or guilty of anything. Gambling is the minor of the issues if you analyze the whole society's problems, what means they are hypocrities by pointing their fingers to gambling, while corruption is going strong among authorities and businessmen, unemployment rates are high and people don't have access to quality health services. Gambling popularity rises only as consequence of those problems, as people are desperate to fulfill their necessities somehow, so they appeal to gambling as a last resource, even though they shouldn't do so.

It shouldn't be hard to define a gambler, and there shouldn't be any negative pre trials over someone for him being a gambler. Judgments and concerns should be strictly pointed to problem gamblers exclusively.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 27, 2024, 06:34:17 PM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?
If it doesn't affect their routine at all, they aren't gambling addicted, then. One of the main characteristics of addiction is the disfunctionality it provokes on the life of the individual. It's the social, financial, moral and emotional prejudices caused to his life which characterizes an addiction. Since you hypothetically mentioned they are still able to care their families, fulfill their compromises and responsabilities and keep a healthy life, gambling is just a minor part of their day. Therefore, I don't think they would feel any urges to gamble, because if they were, how could they do all the good things you mentioned?

It would be impossible, because let's say they felt an urge to gamble right before the work time. It would prejudice their professional careers. Or let's say the urge to gamble came when they had to take kids to school. Then, it would forbid them from caring their families. So 'urge to gamble' is incompatible with the scenario you described in your post. Urge to gamble will always affect their lives negatively and won't allow them to have a functional routine.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 27, 2024, 06:20:03 PM
Quote
KPHO reports that one of the man’s neighbors called 911 and said 2-year-old twins were running around alone outside a Peoria-area home with an aggressive dog.

The neighbor reportedly told police the twins were outside for roughly 20 minutes, running near the street before he called and brought them inside his house.

...

Court paperwork stated Opdycke initially told police he went to a nearby Taco Bell. He claimed he was gone for 30 minutes, ordering and eating his food at the restaurant while leaving the kids at home.

...

However, when Opdycke’s wife arrived, he asked to speak to officers alone and changed his story.

Opdycke confessed that he didn’t go to Taco Bell and instead, he went to Desert Diamond Casino around noon, five hours before police were called.

...

During a search, authorities said they found Opdycke had winning tickets from the casino and over $2,000. He was booked on one count of child abuse.
Father arrested after leaving 2-year-old twins home alone for hours to go gambling, police say

The urge this man felt to gamble was so high, that he didn't even measure the consequences of leaving two 2 years old kids at home alone to gamble at a local casino for 5 hours straightforward. Imagine the state of mind of this man to give more value to his gambling session than to the lives of his two young kids who could need him anytime.

Luckly there was an attentive neighboor to call the police, otherwise the dangerous dog or any other potential threat on the streets could have severely harmed those kids.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 27, 2024, 06:08:22 PM
However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.
It's possible, because addictions in general trigger aggressive behavior. If the gambler addicted is facing a long loss streak, losing money he can't afford to lose, hearing a lot of complaints at home from his wife regards his addiction, or is suffering from abstinence, it's possible he attacks her physically full of rage. Although not every addicted person will act like this. I think it will depend on their personal personalities and traits. Some people are more aggressive, while others are more passive and will tend to just get ashamed and depressive when confronted by their wives.

Potentially, it can get even worse when more than one kind of addiction are mixed, like for an example when the gambler is also an alcoholic or drugs user. In this case, I fear the combination might be fatal, and there is no other alternative for the wife besides getting ourt of the relationship as soon as possible for her own good and welfare of her children. Then the addicted individual can be sent to a rehabilitation clinic, and luckily, within time he can recover himself and adopt a new healthy lifestyle to be reintegrated to the society and family.
835  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do you think faucets are dying? on: January 27, 2024, 05:54:37 PM
They should do like fullfaucet games.
pop a 15 second ad up every 8-10 mins and split the ad revenue between the game owner and the users.

or something like candy crush , but every level you beat you get 5 satoshi.+ an ad.
or diablo. every hour you grind is a few satoshi or something.
I couldn't really get behind a paywall/click once an hour, gamble your sats away. don't get me wrong it's fun in moderation.
I stopped using faucets in 2019, I used to could work a small bag up if I was patient but the rewards got so small it wasn't worth it anymore.
I do enjoy provably fair lotteries. Smiley
There are apps on playstore where you can play arcade games for few units of satoshis rewards. But as you said, rewards are too little that they just doesn't worth the time you spend on such games.

Once upon a time, an interesting and addictive browser game called Farm-Satoshi where we could build our own farm, buy animals, feed them and sell their productions for satoshis, which could be reinvested in the farm, or withdrawn to our personal BTC wallet. I don't remember if there were investment options back then inside the game, but it really didn't look like the intention of the developers were to scam the public. It looked more like a genuine idea, which inevitably failed due to not becoming sustainable anymore.

It would be amazing if such websites still existed until nowadays, even if it was to earn a little income, I think in this case it would worth, because we wouldn't playing the game solely for the money.
836  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do you think faucets are dying? on: January 26, 2024, 10:02:16 PM
Faucets aren't viable anymore if we consider they have to earn money from ads and distribute it back to users. And it has been like this since the day Google banned its ads from faucets. Actually, Google killed the faucet industry and consequently the side income of many crypto enthusiasts, especially newbies and young people who were exploring this new universe.
I don't agree that Google killed faucets. I don't remember exact year when they banned faucets, but faucets continued to work few years after it without big problems with revenue from Bitcoin based ad networks. Only revenue were significantly smaller. From business perspective it was understandable Google move. Faucet traffic is low value and there is so much fraud.
There is multiple reason why faucet era has ended. Big hit was closure of Faucethub microwallet. Yes, few new microwallets opened, but they didn't managed to become very popular.
Also, claiming from faucets become too complicated. Difficult captchas, many popup ads, shortlinks and etc. Getting few Satoshi for it simply become don't worth efforts.
Also, many people switched to other earning methods, bounties for example.
I'm pretty sure the witch hunt started in 2016 and by 2017 there wasn't any faucet else displaying Google ads anymore. Faucets exist until nowadays, but like walking deads, zombies. Without Google ads, faucets owners were forced to find alternatives to keep operating somehow, so they appealed to the worst kinds of ads disponible on the internet, such as pop-ups, malicious links, pornography and endless sequences of short-links. All of them low paying ads which turned the faucets into completely useless websites for extra earnings.

Without Google ads, the industry died in less than 1 year. At least, if faucets were clean to claim, like in the old days, I think we could still consider them an alternative, especially for newbies, because they could profit by claiming in quantity, instead of relying on the quality of the faucets. But it's just insanity to spend 2-3 minutes in a website to earn 20 satoshis per claim on the best of scenarios...

About Google's decision, well it's up to them as a private company to decide to which kind of website they want to relate their ads, but fraud and poor traffic quality remains even without faucets. At least through faucets they were helping the miserables of the world to start their crypto journeys from zero.

Lol I don't believe in technical analysis as anyone can draw some lines and make a prediction. I have not seen anyone yet who can make accurate predictions for crypto all the time. We gonna need to see what happens, right now we are in a downwards trend but in crypto everything is possible.
I don't believe in it either. Anyone can draw whatever they want and make the chart look like price is going up or down. To my mind, it's the most meaningless indicator when someone puts lines on charts because lines can't tell you what's going to happen tomorrow.

By the way, Bitcoin price event is getting more interesting. There are five more days left and price still plays between the 39 and 41K. Some hours ago I checked the price and it was 39,900 USD, now it's 40700 USD. If it continues to play like that during the final hours, it will be very thrilling to watch it live.
Well, crypto market is well known for its volatility, and our only assurance so far is that Bitcoin is getting more valuable along the years, although on short run everything is expected to happen, because it's highly influenced by individual actions of whales (market manipulation). As an example, Grayscale is one of the few who could make accurate predictions regards the market's fluctuations, because they are the ones causing prices to fall through massive Bitcoin sales. But for us, who are outside their inner circle of contacts, there is no way to assure anything...

It's one of the cons of financial market in general. The people at the top are always benefited due to inside information access.

On the other hand, people try to compare Bitcoin cycles to predict similar events which are likely to happen again. I've seen the charts from 80 days before halving (2016 and 2020 periods) and they seem consistent with the current one we are seeing, displaying 40%-60% difference in price compared to the respective previous ATH. It gives an optimistic view that everything is under control and happening similarly to previous cycles, so what we should do for now is to keep buying and holding.

838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: January 26, 2024, 09:26:34 PM
If I am to be among the parents of the boy I will not give him money anymore because he's not ready yet.
Moreover, the age of gambling is 18+ and he's just 18 years old and have no money but depending on his families to give him money and after that he's using them to gamble.
The boy is not ready to make a better life, God helps he's not addicted yet or putting his hope for winning big money that he can make living from it.
This is a possible alternative to not give him money anymore, because he might be out of control and end spending that money with gambling, while in fact he should be spending money with his basic needs, school's demands and rides with his friends. However, to not give him money will difficult his life a lot, because this way his parents will have to give him the items he needs, instead of fiat. At some point it will be impractical and too time consuming for his parents as well to give him access to everything he needs in real time.

A more practical solution would be to monitor his banking account app through the history of transactions. If he deposits any money at casinos, his parents will know about it, so they can punish the son for his disobedience. It's not possible to say he is going to learn the lesson and stop acting against his parents' wishes, but that is something they must try to do, as there isn't easy alternative here for a rebel individual, who is unable to control his impulses.
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 26, 2024, 05:19:03 PM
In gambling there's nothing like monthly income, I have no idea on how much I spend on gambling in a month and there's no specific amount to how much I can use in gambling per day, this is how I row, I don't mind spending once am having the capacity to do so and limit my spendings also when am running out of cash, it's not easy to keep an eye on what amount we are spending on gambling and what we are loosing either, for how long would one keep on with doing such.
It's not advisable to gamble like this, without any plans in advance. If you don't know how much you spend and don't set a limited budget to bet, you are likely to lose money beyond your current conditions. If you don't change this mindset, you may start facing negative consequences in your finances and investments, if it's not already happening to you. Actually, it shouldn't be hard to organize your gambling routine, calculating how much income you make in a monthly basis, so you subtract the amount of money you need for your daily expenses to reach the sum of money you can invest or use for entertainment reasons. Set how much money you want to destinate to investments, and the lefting portion will be used for leisure, where gambling in included. Then you can define your gambling monthly budget.

It's better to do this way, so you don't neglect any aspects of your finances, accommodating a portion of money to every sectors of it, thinking on your survival, on your present mood's needs and also on your future. And the question is very simple, Between the older men (talking of from 60 years old and above), and younger men (talking of from 18 to 45 years of age) which of this category of men actually gamble for fun the more?

If I was to answer this question, I did say that the older men are more likely to be gambling for fun, than the younger men, and this is due to several reasons which I am not going to mention yet, but will see users who share in this same view of mine will be able to also come up with same reasons.
I agree with you that older men enjoy gambling for fun more than young ones, because they are more likely to have a fixed source of income and organized financial life, so money for them isn't a challenge or a problem anymore, while on the other hand it can be a big issue for young men who are starting their lives by themselves just now, and have a heavy burden to carry, which can be translated into wife, young children at home, house and car's financing, a career under construction and every other challenges people face when they are young and don't have any guarantees about anything yet.

An old men already has raised his children, built his house, finished his career, so he doesn't have much to worry concerning money, therefore he is free to use the funds he has achieved along his life for his own pleasure right now. If he loses money gambling, it won't be an issue at all, because on the next month he is going to receive his pensioner's wage once again, besides the fact an old man is more limited on his choices, so he won't regret about losing money gambling thinking that he could have used it in another ways. In my opinion, elder age is the right time to gamble.
