What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler?

Personally, I don't like the word Gambler tbh. And it feels more worse when someone calls someone a Gambler in the local language. I played some hands it's true and I tested many games for test purposes But I was never affected by the gamble. and I consider I am not a gambler myself. Somehow I do not feel good or something does not fit with me by this word.

A gambler is someone who does whatever thing with any little amount to increase for a personal profits or doubling. We can be called gambler if we portrays that quality, though one must not be in that condition to be fully called but at least who constantly plays games for a profiting purpose. That is why people are being calling with worlds gamblers, maybe you might feel you aren't affected but less until you can't stay for along time without gambling; that is to say you must associates yourself with anything that has to do with gaming to maximized profits.

Gambler is the person who is doing that activity. You are doing an activity gamble, and that's the most common thing you get called that word. Like a wise man said "Don't hate the player, hate the game".

Just like the same with words (Tester & test). Test is the activity you are doing, meanwhile (tester) is the person who are doing the test. Take it easy, no need to think it really hard.

I would say im a casual gambler on which im not really that spending that much when it comes to gambling on where i do only play on the time that im really that in boring moment or times
on which i have really that kind of consideration on putting up some funds or allocating a small amount on at least on trying to feel up some thrill when it comes to gambling.
With this then you would really be able to control yourself because you have set out earlier on how much you would really be gonna spending compared into those people
who do have that kind of hopes and beliefs that gambling could make them easily rich on which they would really be having that kind of assumptions on easy money making.

Honestly, I don't know why you don't like being called a gambler, is it really that bad even if you're not affected by it?
Our gambling activities may be different, but we are definitely risking something to win something. It doesn't matter whether you and I are just testing a particular game, the fact is that a person will be considered a gambler when they start risking their money on gambling or a particular game.

So far I have not been completely affected by gambling even though I have lost a lot of money there. As a gambler, of course I must be responsible for all my gambling activities and the impacts they cause. From the definition, I think you and I are gamblers, not called anything else whether we like it or not.

I don't know how to say this, but the truth of the matter is that no matter how little we gamble, even if it's just once a day, the very day you visit the casino to place a bet is gambling, and you, as the person who performs the gambling, are a gambler.
 
But we do have many forms of gamblers, and many people see all gamblers as equal, which is not supposed to be, so I guess that's where this misunderstanding is coming from.
 
There are those who are always gambling, and they can't stay without gambling. I classify those people as problem gamblers, and those who once in a while just visit the casino to text a game or place a few bets as casual gamblers. This category of casual gambling is where I place myself. I don't see myself as a true gambler, as I don't meet all the criteria it takes to be one.

What ever we define a gambler as, depends on how often you play. For me, as long as one has been Involved in gambling before, he already is a gambler. From what you said, you had test some few games so how then don't you consider yourself as a gambler. There's not wrong I'm being a gambler, the one thing wrong is being addicted. An addicted gambler is someone who gambles without remorse.
Whatever makes one a gambler depends on how he or she sees it. If you feel that playing some few rounds doesn't make you a gambler then that's for you. So long you aren't addicted.

What I noticed is that we do not call ourselves gamblers. I mean my friends that are gambling and I. But we can say that we are gambling or that we want to gamble. I use gambler to address people online like on this forum. It is not directly addressing someone but people that are gambling generally, so no offense. I am gambling online and not offline, so I have not seen anyone that calls me a gambler before  and my friends that know that I am gambling do not call me a gambler but they can say that I am gambling and that I like gambling.

You nailed it lol. This is true. I found it worse too when someone is calling me a gambler translated into our local language.

It's like when I was called a gambler in our local language, it's already a bad image and impression to others who will hear it especially those who don't know me personally. I'd rather being called a gambler as in gambler in English term in our local place.

But I don't care. Let them think what they want to think about me. I don't need to show adjustment for others in the first place. I will just make sure that while being a regular gambler, I will always keep myself responsible at all times since if I turn out the worst gambler, I just made the wrong assumption to me as true.

I'd say that a gambler is someone who plays games that require betting money. So, if you played a poker game with your friends betting chips with no money involved, just for fun, that wouldn't make you a gambler. Since you used real money, you are a gambler.

If we consider the real definition of the word gambler then some people who really gamble do not fit the description. They Gamble but they are not really gamblers. The real gamblers are people who are not afraid to take risk, they are consistent with taking risk even if they loose today. A real gambler can take picks in gambling that are very risky with a higher chance to loose, and a lower chance to win with better benefits. Real gamblers are willing to take risks, they are not afraid of it.

As long there's money involved then its gambling and you are the ones who had been playing then you are a gambler. It would really be just that only that people would really be that
classified basing up on how severe or light they are really that playing gambling on which we know that there are ones who do really spend up like a mad man and there are ones who would really be that
only spending on a particular time with a very small amount on which they would really be that having those kind of behavior on which it is really that on controlled manner.
There are ones who are really that good when it comes to emotion handling and there are ones who do really fail on doing so. This is why it would really be that best that
everything should really be in moderation.

We can't just simply call a newbie or first-timer entering the gambling world a gambler already for an obvious reason that it's not appropriate to hear. We can call them newbie gamblers instead to properly categorize them separately from the experienced ones.

The other term that can also be classified as a gambler is bettor which is a common term in sports betting.

Yes it is not bad to call people gamblers like on this forum, but to call someone a gambler can be very insulting. It will look like the person do not know how to manage his money or the person is doing something not good at all. It is also possible that the person use it inappropriately in a way that will frustrates you. I can not call anyone a gambler and I do not expect anyone to call me a gambler. I am gambling but I will not like anyone to call me a that name.

1. Spending more money
2. Spending more time with it
3. Prioritizing gambling over other things
4. Messing your time/schedule

If you are just a casual gambler then it wont really be something that to be destructive on which there would really be those people who would really be
that neither be affected with gambling that much and there are ones who are able to control themselves into it on which they wont really be making themselves that being wrecked by it.
Gambling isnt bad as long everything should really be in moderation. It is really just that on someones actions and someones decisions towards gambling
on which not all would really be that similar when it comes to this one.

I felt how the word was unpleasant to hear let alone spoken by friends around many people, but fortunately they did not know that I was a gambler because I did not show any activity so they did not suspect it.

If you don't feel like a real gambler then just ignore it because they just assume and don't know that we don't affect more, but fortunately we are more educated about online casinos so not many people know our gambling activities while we are here knowing anonymously.

So their definition of gambling is spending a lot of money / time / habits with a long time.

For me it's the basic, you are a gambler if you frequently played on land base or online gambling platform, place a bet and then hope that win more money. Good for you if you are not a gambler and have controlled yourself not to fall for it.

But for the majority here, and I think there could be 2 categories here,

a. A individual who prior to joining, was not a gambler per se, but because of maybe the influence of some persons or even the community itself because we promoted gambling platform, at some point in time learn to play and gamble

b. A individual who prior to joining this community was already playing in land base casinos and then it was just magnified and played even more in crypto based casinos

c. in the case of OP, maybe he promoted gambling sites as sig participants and sig manager, but never fall for being a regular or hard core gambler

The definition of a gambler is someone that gambles. If you are found gambling or betting on games, that means that person is a gambler. When we keep gambling everytime with any restrictions to halt when we are supposed, it means that we are going too far in gambling. Those that had been gambling for long would understand some of the ways that could attract us to gambling even when we are not attracted at first due to many reasons. What ever definition anyone might have, it can not be contrary to this one because it is mainly the same but can come in different phrases and sentences.

I think what we call gamblers are those regular gamblers but yeah calling us gambler out of nowhere is out of ordinary but I don't think we can associate another word with it when it facts we gamble. Maybe it's just rooted on our memory that if we hear a gambler we tend to associate it on some bad person but I think it's just how we have perceived it but actually there's nothing wrong with it as long as you're not doing something illegal.
