Windows 10 + Crimson 16.X Despite many answers suggesting 15.12, see also msg #1834. I still have not seen any evidence that latest 16.5.* drivers work worse than 15.12. Maybe there were issues with initial 16.* releases in the past, but if all works with the latest, I usually prefer them. i did not find any hashrate or stability issues with 16.5.1 comparing to 15.12 (cards are 7950, 7970, 390X, Win7 64 bit). I might try windows 10 with Catalyst 15.12 |

ich bin in den letzten Tagen des öfteren über DAO gestolpert und möchte mich deshalb etwas näher damit befassen und verstehen worum es dort geht.
Ich war schon auf der offiziellen Seite, aber das Prinzip habe ich leider noch nicht verstanden.
Fangen wir an.
DAO gibt es eigentlich noch garnicht - das Projekt befindet sich derzeit noch in einer crowdfunding Phase - richtig?
Was genau ist DAO und weshalb sind alle so verrückt darauf?
Wie schätzt ihr die Chancen von DAO ein erfolgreicher als ETH zu werden?
Was kann man mit DAO tokens machen? Sind diese Tokens vergleichbar mit z.B. ETH-Coins?
Habt ihr in DAO investiert?
Wie funktioniert das? Ich schicke an eine bestimmte Wallet Ether und bekomme dafür im gegenzug DAO-Tokens?
Was kann ich mit den Tokens machen? Wo werden diese "gespeichert"? Gibt es eine Wallet dafür oder wie funktioniert das?
Kann man DAO irgendwann minen - wenn ja ab wann?
Was muss man sonst noch über DAO wissen?

ETH only isn't very thermal to the cards.
My cards are running 10 degrees lower than on DCR - I don't think they will overheat.
So Windows 7 or 10?
And catalyst 15.12

I wanna use windows 7 64 bit.
I know 2 GB aren't perfect - but what's the result?
Won't it start mining or is it just because windows 7 is running slow with only 2 gb?

I'm just about to build a second rig - but I currently have only a mainboard with 2 GB of ram here.
Does anyone know if it's 100% necessary to have 4 GB of ram to mine ETH?

I am using this miner since 3 days now and I'm very happy.
I totally recommend this miner.
It is the only miner that allows me to mine with my HD 6970 cards.
I bought a pair of 280X now - does anyone know how much the output of one card would passibly be if I overclock them?
It's 1 Vapor and 1 Toxic.

I have been mining DCR for some time. But due to the fact that it's dead I'm changing to another coin now. I have got like 0.5 DCR at the moment.. you don't really think that I try to influence the price to sell 0.5 DCR?  HELLO......where are you? O wait, you sold all your coins. Goo cry in corner now  There's no need for rubbing it in, we are better than that. There will be many more lows and highs, the FUD doesn't help anything on either side. Doesn't mean it doesn't feel good though  I don't care about DCR anymore. It's just a temporary high because you have been lucky and added to poloniex... but this won't help anymore.. DCR is dead. ETH will mine just fine with 2 gb of ram, the dag is about 1600 mb right now so it will still work for those cards for another 6 months. You can do decred as you mentioned, feather coin, and digibyte. There are a few others but ether has the best profit where others are about 40% less or so profit.
I tried this some month ago - and it doesn't work. I did read forums for more than a week and didn't get it running - so no... it isn't possible atm. Even if I set max alloc to 100% and do some other modifications it can't create the DAG. Someone told me that there is a specific driver (which is some years old) which might be working... but that's all venture.
