821  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: June 09, 2017, 04:02:06 PM
Interesting wallet with multifunction features, and we could convert between bitcoin-altcoins instantly?
Is this wallet support multisend function? Such as blockchain but they have disabled it.
Waiting for anyone to reply.
822  Economy / Speculation / Re: IS BITCOIN GOING BACK DOWN? on: June 09, 2017, 02:29:01 PM
WHAT IS THE HONEST OPINION OF EVERYONE HERE?

WILL WE SEE A DIP BACK DOWN TO THE 1,500 RANGE OR NAAH??

SPEAK ON IT.

I do think that bitcoin is going to experience a temporary correction probably in the next week or so. Possibly down to $2000 again like last time it happened. However I don’t think that it’ll ever touch or even go near to $1500 because first of all, $2000 is sort of like a psychological barrier. Just like $1000. It’s a nice, round number and people expect the price to stay above that.

When people expect price to be a certain way that’s what usually happens - it does go this way. Because ultimately the market is made out of people and people make decisions - the decision influence the price.

I would hold for now, maybe sell a lil because i do think there is something special in this year 2017.
Something special already happen once when the bull run and reach current price, we know the potential of bitcoin and yes, hold is a good decision as the price seems pretty strong right now.
Bitcoin price purely driven by market demands and bitcoin acceptance everywhere, if there are some good news regarding that matters than the price will increase again.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoins now, At this price, It Isn't working on: June 09, 2017, 01:02:00 PM
I love BTC, I want BTCs, but buying them now, at this price, it won't work..too expensive Sad Angry . If you owning Bitcoins or thousand satoshis, consider yourself lucky!

And you won't buy bitcoin at current price? It means you don't love it, do not want bitcoin. Why not just buy small amount, like 0.01-0.1BTC for the beginning, depend on your capital. If your purpose to save it for long term, than you wouldn't be loss.
Or you want to wait for bitcoin price decrease to $1500? It may not happen if there's no any big problem such as USA or Netherland ban bitcoin which is seems impossible, maybe.

What is this? Too good to become a reality, easy money but high risk of scam. Especially this program advertise by newbie without any evidence, if someone trusted from DT member, maybe many people will join in. But in this case, I suggest for everyone not to trust a program which offers easy money by sending your funds first, be careful before send your bitcoin.
To newbie, there are many potential ico project where you can invest small amount of your bitcoin, check my signature, SunContract is a one of the good project for long term investment.
825  Economy / Economics / Re: Think about this: Is crypto a bubble.... or is fiat a bubble ? on: June 09, 2017, 03:15:05 AM
Maybe a repeated question ? Not sure...

Just simple economics, no need to get very deep into this question.

USD (as an example, could be other currency) has no limit, nothing scarce, it has value because people believe in it, it has history and is issued by an entity that is loosing the trust once had.

In the other hand, any crypto currency is limited, it's scarce, it's been almost 10 years since the creation and you can trust the technology.

Why is this still not worth trillions ?

Because Fiat money backed by government, it take decades - centuries to grow until reach this price, it's not a bubble such as cryptocurrencies which just brand new (less than 10 years) to become an accepted currency everywhere. Japan maybe the first country that declared bitcoin as legal payment, but some cities already use it in daily transaction. Why bitcoin still not worth trillions? If bitcoin accepted everywhere such as fiat money, than it would be worth more, maybe thousands of dollars or million but not trillions obviously.
826  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Storing on Exchange vs mobile? on: June 08, 2017, 11:40:47 PM
I will save bitcoin in both of them, mobile wallet and exchange but save in different amount just in case as I don't put all of eggs in one basket. I have small amount of bitcoin, but still divide it into several mobile wallet and very small amount in an exchange too for cash out if I need money. If I have more bitcoin, than offline wallet for cold storage is another option to save my bitcoin for long term, the plan is clear and I'm still learning about it.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: June 08, 2017, 11:06:18 PM
Same question as in topic.
Where you invest your money today?
Btc, Ltc, Eth, Lisk or what?

I will invest on bitcoin of course, it is the best option for long term, but not all of it due to ltc and lisk on its way to increase.
If you want to get more profits from $500, than invest on cheaper coins, wait for some time than sell it at higher peak.
So, divide your investment into several coins to get more return than convert it into bitcoin.
828  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? on: June 08, 2017, 05:59:50 PM
Bitcoin was supposed to free people from fiat money slavery.
How many of us are now slaves to intense greed, expecting easy money, etc?

Most people cannot use BTC for moderate amounts of value since the fees are way too high, but the Bull marches on, and on.
Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? Does it feel "different" compared to the previous big moves?
Indeed, I'm enjoying every time bitcoin bull run insanely because my savings grow bigger and valuable.
It's a good show, watch the charts and price increase every hour and reach more than I've predicted.
We know after bull run there will be always correction, so many people will sell or prepare to sell it at highest peak, than bitcoin price will fall freely to certain point. And people will buy back what they've sold before but already have profits, a good day for trade.
829  Economy / Speculation / Re: a 100-150 jump in price daily is avg for volatility of btc on: June 08, 2017, 05:17:40 PM
I don't think that the volatility of Bitcoin is normal, what I mean about that is Bitcoin as of now a 150$ change in price daily is about 18-23% price change depending on where you count it on. But that kind of price change cannot be defined as normal, we can translate it to that traders are still being indecisive with how Bitcoin's trend is going. What I mean is people are still on the verge of identifying the trend yet.
It's a good percentage if bitcoin price increase, 23% is a big funds invested and vice versa when people cash out.
This week shows that bitcoin has increase over 10% from around $2400 to $2750, but seems a little bit decrease again.
It is a normal day in bitcoin trading market as long as there is no any pump from whales and we stay in this area.
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 08, 2017, 04:28:45 PM
Sometimes when I withdraw BTC to my wallet, I set really low fees like 50-70 satoshi per byte and wait for weeks, because I'm not going to spend those coins in the near future anyway. I think it's a good way to save a bit of money, because if you look back, you might realize that your fees have added up to a big amount in USD value, while it wasn't always necessary to get those coins confirmed asap.
So, do you use low fees, or always want to get confirmation in a next few blocks?
As long as your bitcoin received than it doesn't matter. I don't use small fees, just a sufficient amount to get my transaction confirmed but normal fees still have to wait for several days due too many unconfirmed transaction on waiting list. Well, I don't mind to pay 120-200 satoshi per byte, but some people suggest to increase fees until 220 satoshi.
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will the next correction/dip be? on: June 08, 2017, 03:22:50 PM
I will be the optimist in saying that we are not going to see the normal spike&dip trend that we are used to. I think from now on we are going to see smaller spikes and smaller dips than usual. The increase in the price we are seeing now, is not just linked to single events where hype are used to push the price. We are seeing the result of real adoption taking place in several countries globally.

This is going to slowly increase in value over the next few months. ^smile^

That's what happens right now, small fluctuate within $100-$200 and sometimes over $250 decrease.
What we need is big whales or a good news about bitcoin development, then people will trigger to invest/buy again, maybe in 1 or 2 months later. After rally, a correction will happen again but I hope it won't drop below $3000.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So I want to get into trading. on: June 08, 2017, 02:45:12 PM
Obviously, I need BTC to get in but it seems like everything is high right now.  Should I wait till BTC is < 2k? Or ETH < 200? I'd like to get in and start trading alt coins.  But for me to maximize my profits in USD I need to wait till BTC is at a reasonable cost.  Or do you guys see it climbing to 3k in the next couple of months?
Even you will wait for btc to get back at $2,000 you won't see it anymore. The correction is done already and the price is ready to fly to the moon. If I were you, just buy now and on how much you afford to lose. Many sees that the price is possible to get up to $3k so if I were you, don't wait for it to fly to $3k before buying.
I won't say it never, because something could be happen which cause bitcoin price crash such as a big exchange get hack.
But for now bitcoin still has steady increase and more likely to rise than fall down.
If you want to wait until bitcoin price decline, than it may take months. Better to buy small amount of bitcoin whenever a dip occurs,  and start trading.
833  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will process transactions when we'll hit 21MBTC? on: June 08, 2017, 10:34:10 AM
We don't have to worry about it, as it still far away, like a hundred years?  Grin
When bitcoin price increase at that time, it should be sufficient to cover miners expense I guess.
There will always miners left to mine bitcoin fees, or at least I will do it,  Cheesy, still big money obviously.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price will you sell your BTC, and what will you buy? on: June 08, 2017, 05:47:25 AM
I don't have such plan, if I still have cash in my account to cover my daily expenses than it's enough, no need to sell my precious bitcoin for cheap price instead of saving it for long term as long as I can hold. With current price $2700, if I sell 0.5BTC and get $1350, it should be enough for 8-10 months without sell bitcoin anymore. I figured out that is a bad decision due to bitcoin price always increases over time, I prefer to sell a little bit (maybe BTC0.04) in every chance and save the rest for higher price when I need to.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: June 07, 2017, 09:49:32 PM
With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead. Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?

I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.

For remittance purpose, bitcoin may not suitable with high fees should be paid especially for big amount that sent. But, for store of value, bitcoin still one of the best option. There are a lot to speculate about bitcoin, from the beginning until how bitcoin could rise because many adopters join to the bitcoin community. What kind of bitcoin experiment that you mean?
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SNC] SunContract - Decentralized Energy Market on: June 07, 2017, 05:14:20 PM
Hello everyone,

we would like to apologize to community for few questions that we did not answer. We are really busy prepairing everything for the ICO and launch of the project. We are putting all the effort we can to start crowdsale at the end of June. Please stay tunned for more info on that matter.

Thank you for all great support you show us!

Finally I found it ; so it's the end of June, after wondering when the Ico sale start. All we've got in the first page is : The TOKEN SALE (ICO) details are COMING SOON ... STAY TUNED Grin
Well, it is a big project and need a lot of hard work to achieve a success project, because a new business model using energy sector and supported by the blockchain technology very interesting and many people expected for its benefits for everyone.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC outcome shortly after August 1st? on: June 06, 2017, 05:32:03 PM
also if it ends up in a split then there is a high chance of price dropping because of panic sells to put simply!

To add; If people end up transferring their coins to exchanges in order to dump if the price happens to go down (or for whatever other reason), people will not have coins sitting in both chains, in case a chain split becomes reality. You'll basically hand over the exchange in question free coins/money - don't do it. Coins should be kept offline under your own control.

Good advice for everyone, but we are too early to judge it will split the network. I hope it won't ever happen for real, as bitcoin price may fall down so far and need a long time to rise again.

its success however can lead to activation of SegWit and clearing of mempool and finally reaching a scaling solution. this can help in long term price rise.

I prefer to consider this is what will happen if Segwit be activated and blocksize increase but we hope this upgrade program support various nodes before. So, many people will support this activation.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good Altcoins to buy? on: June 05, 2017, 11:52:41 PM
Hi there,

I'm new in this world but I would say it depends on your goals.

You can either:
- Put your money on an ICO
  • Do a lot of research and reading in order to assess if the project is worth it and has a good future
  • Some of them have good ideas but I don't know if they will/can succeed (Crypviser [Cybersecurity], SunContract [power contracts]...)
- Buy some new coins that make you enthusiast (I bought some coins that offer a good idea like Humaniq [Unbanked people], SingularDTV [Netflix like], Ardor [Nxt 2.0], GameCredits [Gaming platform - New project "MobileGo" on the launch])
- Buy some coins that already are on the spotlight (Stratis, Lisk, Waves, Eth, Nxt...)

We can never know but in my opinion (and it's only mine), when I invest I try to seek something disruptive !

Good luck Smiley
Yes, we could divide good altcoins to buy based on the idea and how market react to this coin.
Agree, SunContract is a good project for long term, so its coin should be increase in the future.
Or you can invest on some altcoins which has been famous and has high exchange rate from $20-$700, visit coinmarketcap.com
If your plan to doubled your money, than invest in ico maybe better to start as long as that is a good project and the devs team are trusted person.
839  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of the BTC on: June 02, 2017, 11:57:52 PM
Minexcoin still on ico and have to going through a long way to compare with bitcoin, for now its nothing and still behind the start line.
Bitcoin volatility is a double edge sword because it could increase quickly and drop back again, as long as the market cap isn't big enough to prevent any further changes in the market. And it still early for bitcoin and won't be outdated due to it always upgraded even though the process seems complicated for now.
840  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today on: June 02, 2017, 11:36:07 PM
I think bitcoin dropped back from $2700 to $2000 wasn't a crash instead just a correction after rally which make the price increase significantly. High price of bitcoin was very tempting for people to sell their bitcoin for cash obviously, when people sold out theirs, that's why correction happened.
Right now, bitcoin still at $2300-$2700 depend on the exchanges but I hope it will increase again due to adoption from several countries seems increase such as mentioned above.
