BTC500, dude seriously,  no.  That is f**king stupid.     Get real, I am sorry but when I see prices like this is just bothers me.  That is not a deal, it is a one-side trade and you ain't on the good side.
823  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] In Hand Avalon ASIC on: April 13, 2013, 08:22:17 PM
Gauging interest on selling an in hand Avalon ASIC. This is not a sale of a batch preorder.

In light of the recent demand, I will entertain offers of $40,000 USD or higher. I am in no way forced to sell this machine, so please don't waste my time or yours with offers lower than this amount. They will not even be considered.

For serious buyers, I would like to use an escrow service (of mutual decision) throughout the transaction.

I will accept cash or the BTC equivalent. Further discussion and negotiation will be possible once an offer is accepted.

If interested, send me a PM or post on the thread.

$40,000 is a fully valued price.  You will need to do better than that, you asking a person to take a lot of risk at that price.

How can you guarantee authenticity?  I am personally in the market for a pair of Mixr but I know a lot of really good looking fakes are going around.  Can you please tell us how you got in possession of these?  Also you are charging not far from retail.

Please advise and thank you in advance.
825  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Europe Group Buys for Avalon on: April 13, 2013, 04:30:37 PM
At this point you are looking at getting an existing order.   I would suggest coming to terms first with a seller and then find your group but DO NOT accept coins until the unit is fully subscribed.  Then find a reputable escrow agent (John D.) to handle the transaction with the seller and the buyers until the unit is in your hands and it is verified.    Anything outside of this is quite risky.
826  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] XRP (Ripple) on: April 13, 2013, 03:16:50 PM
Im a bit expensive, but if you wish we can do 1 btc / 1k ripple
(this, can only do good to the ripple economy Wink )

You are not even close to the market price.   LOL

I am picking up 20,000 from davidpbrown.  We are going to try and use ripple to complete it.  Exciting.
828  Economy / Goods / [WTB] XRP (Ripple) on: April 12, 2013, 07:42:16 PM
Just like the post says, I am looking to pickup some Ripple.  I want to vet this idea by starting to add this to my normal transactions.   Please give me a good deal because this is still highly experimental.

Thank you for your consideration.   If TradeFortress does not accept and can not execute these duties, please keep me in mind as a backup candidate.  The offer is also open if you don't want to liquidate the unit but instead put it into a management service and send out income.

It is good to see you guys organize, be proactive and try and make the best of this bad situation.

I don't see any point that you're making, unless this post was just to declare your apathy and frustration (not sure why though).

Here, lemme break it down for you:

1. He's not happy with the performance of his Avalon unit
2. He'll ramble on about it in this thread and maybe chime in on other related threads about his "experience" with his
3. He'll finally become frustrated and put it up for sale to the highest bidder
4. You send first, no Escrow

Any questions?

Scam in the making?

PM sent, I am in.  Let's try this out.
837  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: avl asic on: April 12, 2013, 03:35:52 PM
hey guys

long time lurker, first time poster

i've got an avl asic got lucky and ordered early batch one

to be honest NOT IMPRESSED, yeah i cant make one point twenty one jigga watts, but what the hell am i ment to do with it after this rush is over

plus the btc price changes up and down every 5 seconds

i also got a rig with a 7970, and i just ordered a couple of 7990's to upgrade my rig ... with that, i can play games and when im not gaming i can make some btc's

but the question is what the hell am i ment to do with the asic in 6 months time when its a paperweight?
what the hell is the point of mining coins when its $300 a coin and half a day later its $30?

sorry to be a downer, but with all the dos attacks, and unstablity... im kinda wonder why to bother with this thing?

Maybe you should think about doing something else.  If you are only in this for some arbitrary price, then I would suggest that your in Bitcoin mining for the wrong reason.  Yes an incentive to keep mining is needed but this is not a get rich quick scheme.  Many of us are truly committed to building an alternative currency and store of wealth.   This is be a long road and this is just the start of the issues and challenges we will face.   You should sit back and reflect what does Bitcoin mean to you?
838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin crashed on: April 11, 2013, 08:07:18 PM
There was quite a bit of pressure before the crash started.   Weird price data of many small transaction.  Almost like it was trying to paint the ticker and see what they could do.    Massive volume.
839  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Single BFL 5 GH/s ASIC worth it? on: April 10, 2013, 04:13:24 PM
Play around on the calculator with difficulties.   Try 30,000,000 - 50,000,000 - 100,000,000 and see how you feel then.
840  Economy / Securities / Re: [BAKEWELL] Action Proposal - Call for Volunteers on: April 10, 2013, 04:07:14 PM
Shareholders,

I would be willing to step to do an orderly wind-down of the company.  Also if a direct sales of the ASIC units (pending Yifu's approval) is not the only option, putting it with the rest of my personal and managed units is an option and then I can send dividends out.   I will need a PM and then a Skype conference to go over the details so a scope can be nailed down to the last detail.  I will also need an accurate accounting of what transpired at Bakewell so I know the history.
