821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: █ █DOGECOIN IS DEADCOIN ! HAS BEEN IGNORED BY THE CREATOR !! BE CAREFUL █ █ on: October 09, 2017, 12:28:40 PM
Doge for now is still the favorite coin, because the price is cheap
and has a fairly large marketcap
now the price is $0.001020 (0.00000022 BTC) *9-oct-17*
with a market cap of $113,662,404
But that is not good news for doge, because the price will go down steadily
Why ?
because over time dogecoin will be left by investors/whales who divert their money to coins that have better prospects
and the community will realize that dogecoin has no future
Even if that is the case dogecoin will still have some of it's real world uses after all it is one of the most used crypto currency for gambling. It is one of the favorites of gamblers in crypto-games and other sites who accepts doge for gambling. It won't die so long as it can be used therefore even if it is low it will always retain a value. In the past it has been way below 11 satoshi but has still survived till now. Even if that is said, doge might not go to moon like what others expect.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to buy bitcoin befor or after the Fork of October? on: October 09, 2017, 11:31:49 AM
Hello I have to buy some bitcoins (because  I want to trade altcoins)

I  heard  that  there will be   a  fork in October,  so  when is the  best time to buy Bitcoin?  is  it before the  fork,  or after the fork?
(I want to maximaze my money  power before to get  into  the  altcoins's market)

It would be better to get in now and hodl until the two expected fork is finished. Even if it dumps don't touch your bitcoin on the time frame just convert the forked version of btc anytime you want after fork. That way you will have free money from the fork that will happen. The only thing that might be troublesome is the bitcoin price after the two fork because price might not be the same now it might be lower.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what's happening to stratis? on: October 09, 2017, 09:47:06 AM
What's  hapening to  stratis?  THe charts  shows  blood  everywhere, an  incredible  downtrend

I came into Strat at 3,84$,  thinking  to make  a  good  deal, but  you are  selling guys, maybe because there are other competitors to stratis in these late days?

Anyway I learnt  my lesson:  TAKE  A   COIN ONLY INTO ICO AND WAIT  FOR THE X10, BECAUSE IN THE LONG RUND  THERE  WILL BE COMPETITORS  AND  YOUR PROJECT  COUDL DI
It is good that you learnt your lesson but if I were you I won't sell my stratus early. It is just a normal movement for an altcoin to go down after being stuck on a high price. It would probably gain it's momentum after everything has settled up. It will pump again so don't cut your losses now sell above 3.84$ if it ever goes up to even 4$ it will still be profit anyway if you want out as soon as possible.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins dropping because users cashing out BTC before the forks? on: October 09, 2017, 08:56:47 AM
Read this tweet

https://twitter.com/ICOAlerts/status/917095565036589056

is this true? are altcoins dropping before the BTC fork?
This is highly unlikely to be the reason even if more altcoins begins to drop. Don't believe that FUD, alts are just going down because some big hodlers probably is converting into bitcoin now to get some free money after the fork. It will stop sooner or later, don't believe the fake news that will be thrown out by whales they will just try to bring down price to buy cheap coins.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: VIBERATE worth or nah on: October 09, 2017, 08:18:08 AM
Guys what do u think about viberate? One of the fastest sold out ICO,  21mil coins in let then 10min. Now its only available on etherdelta and livecoin but from release it is going down but I want to believe in this music coin. What is your opinion?
My opinion about this project is that it is also worth holding like other music related coins out there team is active after all. All similar to it still got potential to grow more in the future and it would be a waste to dump the one who might give opportunity for more profits. I also believe in this project since team is trustworthy at least that is what I can say for now.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best ICO in your opinion? on: October 08, 2017, 09:28:39 AM
What is the best ICO to buy into now?
Why?

Would love to hear your answers
If you are looking for ICO to invest into why not start on the current bounty campaign that you have joined? You decided to trust then after all why not allot some of your funds there since you decided to exert effort in advertising it? I would also like to suggest spectre ICO. For more information click links on my signature. It introduces the community the world's first brokerless trading platform.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fork time / bloody october? on: October 08, 2017, 08:20:00 AM
This is what I'm thinking . . . the upside on Alts once BTC stabilises could be massive! Accumulate more during this period while they're cheap . . .

My only reservation is there is soo much competition in the market these days due to the vast number of ICO's . . . which Alts to pick!?

Also when this pump will be I don't know.
The expected pump for alts wont be in the next few days IMO but instead it might happen if BTC stabilize for quite a while for people to begin to seek profit in altcoin market again. The ICO's need to stop coming for a while, it needs to be lessened. The current number of ongoing ICO is too much for market and most of it is either crappy or scam so people must be careful in investing into them. Probably by December or before, altcoin market will pick up a rising trend.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leasing coins on for example waves on: October 08, 2017, 06:10:50 AM
Hello,
Has anyone ever leased coins on some form of platform and had a nice return?
Does it make sense to buy waves or any other token to for the profit from leasing them out?

From how many tokens do you see a bit of profit? Do you need 10, 100,1000 tokens?
I don't find a lot of information about this and I hoped somebody can help me out.

If I were you I won't lease my waves because you will only be getting random tokens that can be sold for only 1% of your leased waves or less. It will be better if you will just hold it, then buy and sell when there is a pump and a dump. That way you can profit more in waves. Also, you can invest the money you ought to use buying waves to diversify onto several altcoins that have lots of potential.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell or no?? on: October 08, 2017, 03:01:41 AM
If you already lost 5-10 percent of your investment and trend is still going down, cut your losses and either buy low or go to another coin. It all depends on the trends. If its bitcoin, hold till your last breath.  Cheesy

That's the most common mistake a noob does when prices goes down. Always remember to not cut your losses if you still see promise in the coin you hold and if you know it still has a potential to grow more than your buying price, keep holding it until you get profit. Never cut losses and buy another altcoin. As an altcoin trader it is better to aim with returns with some risk included if a coin is promising rather than selling early. Your funds will just feed the whales.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Discussion on: October 08, 2017, 12:17:17 AM
Hi, I just want to ask, where can i find trade exchange and wallet for waves.
You can exchange waves via their built in exchange and I recommend waves official wallet to be able to use wavesdex exchange they charge one 0.003 waves for every transactions though. About other exchanges you can go to bittrex to save on exchanging fees. For more exchanges, go to this site to check more exchanges that allows waves trading. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waves/
831  Economy / Economics / Re: The Making of Currency on: October 07, 2017, 10:48:22 AM
You're right OP. Economic crisis happening there and there and currency loose value while people need something which will fix the financial problem. This is the main reason why bitcoin was created by the Satoshi Nakamoto group.
Satoshi Nakamoto really didn't intend for bitcoin to solve economic crisis happening in the world now. What the creator of bitcoin intended for it to be used for micropayments daily to ease people's long distance sending and receiving of money. I agree though that the making of crypto somehow stems indirectly from the failure of the government to do their jobs well.
832  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make a win-win situation for both government and digital currency ? on: October 06, 2017, 11:15:36 PM
How a government can still manage its control over currency and finance without harshly regulating digital currencies ? Can we ever have a win-win situation ? Is there any economic model for decentralized currencies ?
THe win win situation for both government and digital currency is that crypto won't be used as mainstream currency but rather it will be used like how credit card is used today. That way, governments won't need to get out of their way to go against cryptocurrencies, also they would not see it as threat for banks. Regulation would also be intact for it to be really called a win win situation for both.
833  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a debt addicted generation survive with technologies like Crypto currencies? on: October 06, 2017, 10:11:07 AM
I am not addicted to debt. Cannot speak for everyone else, but I plan to stay debt free my entire life unless it makes sense.
The debt addicted generation OP referring is all of us who are using fiat since it's value is commonly springs from debts. I dont think crypto currencies will die in this debt addicted generation, because some of us gets money here to earn for a living. Technologies like crypto will only be meant as a substitute to credit cards and the likes to pay on the counters easily instead of using traditional fiat. Therefore it will not die in this current generation.
834  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin investment with lump sum or regular small amount on: October 05, 2017, 01:47:23 PM
I'd say buying lump amounts on dips is better for short term trading. I'd also say its more effective for long term holding.

I think that bulk buys vs dollar/averaging each month is entirely dependent on your own financial situation.
If you have a low income its better to dollar/average each month.
If you can spare the money then its best to buy on a dip regardless of longterm/small term holding.
It is really typically better to buy huge amounts on dips, but it is better to do so when there is a big fall in price. When that suddenly happens, it is the best strategy to use if one plans for long term holding. If for short term, you are right that buying at dips is good it gives nice profits anyway in the end after several days or months of holding since bitcoin price is very volatile. The only bad thing to do when buying though is buying at highs since it is relatively hard to recover money when one does that and sometimes takes years.
835  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could be heading to $6,000 by year-end on: October 05, 2017, 04:20:24 AM
CNN News says "Bitcoin could be heading to $6,000 by year-end"
I am imagining what would have been the state had we not got stuck in multiple FUDs this year.
If we have not got stuck in multiple FUDs, maybe btc price is sitting at the predicted price right now but if not it will be significantly a better price than what it has now. Somehow, $6000 is a realistic target by the end of this year. Btc can reach it if there won't be FUDs specially those worst ones, trying to stop bitcoin's growth again in the next coming months. I hope there won't be one.
836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever be worth 100.000 dollar? on: October 04, 2017, 11:01:14 AM
Will Bitcoin ever be reach a value of 100.000 dollar? What do you think?
For now I think it is very unlikely that bitcoin will ever reach a value of 100000$ in the future since if it were to happen, bitcoin will be distributed very well to the public and no one might own a whole bitcoin by that time. Bitcoin supply is so limited so I think at most 50000$ will be the highest price achievable for bitcoin. Since it is still long before that happens, It is better to hold and sell and rebuy while you have the opportunity OP.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prognosis on: October 04, 2017, 10:29:52 AM
Hi guys! What do you think, will bitcoin fall  to $ 3000 in the near future?
I dont think bitcoin will fall to $3000 in the near future. It might stabilize to where it was now since there is not much bad news and good news about bitcoin at the moment that will surely bring upon bitcoin's rise or fall. Although that is the case, even if there is something that will really determine btc price movement in the next coming months, I don't think bitcoin would fall all the way for $3000 unless it would be another repeat of Mt. Gox incident.
838  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price is increasing AGAIN on: October 04, 2017, 09:59:36 AM
The banning of ICO by China and the subsequent news really pull the price back when we are enjoying ATH. But since then, we have recovered but I guess $5000 will take us some time before we can achieve it once again. There is the November fork which can make bitcoin price rose and reach $5000. But I'm happy with the current price and thinking just a few weeks ago we are below $3000. But by the year ends, I'm really speculating that we can reach $5000 by that time and probably heading to $7000 at the beginning of next year.
Many are speculating the same as you, but I doubt it unless there will be more good news in the next coming weeks. At least for now I expect bitcoin price to stablize to it's current position as it is somehow rising slowly and not fast. Also, there aren't that much of a news to really drive price way up or down in a short amount of time, and for the reasons stated I concluded that it will be sitting at the current price for at least a week or two.
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC new Era or Just bubble? on: October 04, 2017, 09:29:45 AM
BTC new Era or Just bubble? - What do you think about it)) Many people invest a lot of fiat currency and hope that it will give them profit but they cant pevent if somesthing unpredictable happen. What do you whink about it ?
Bitcoin's current state at the very least is not a bubble. Where can you see a bubble so resilient that rises after it dumps? If one were to call it bubble, it would be foolish since a bubble easily pops, and no bubble rises again after it dumps. For now, all I can say is that we are seeing the new Era of bitcoin where it is in the era of high rate adoption and the era next to it's coming golden age era probably since mass adoption is being seen right now.
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin as early as this October? on: October 04, 2017, 08:56:41 AM
That definitely will happen. If a company as large as Amazon wants to stay in business, they need to adapt depending on what the customer wants and that is including bitcoin as another formm of payment. The demands of the customers will force every large companies to follow.
It would be nice if it would really come true but the links provided by OP are not reliable ones. They look like that they are clickbait and if this news about amazon accepting bitcoin this October, then it would have had been already published on cointelegraph or other trusted sources and also by amazon themselves confirming that they would accept bitcoin this month. Since I haven't seen Amazon do that, I think news is fake.
