Where is this ICN trading at? If they invested in wings... I want some ICN!
So how does this work? Does the ICN team decide when and what to sell or is it a colaborative decision based on investors?
Sometimes, it's best to hold or HODL coins for massive returns instead of dumping at the end of a crowdsale.
Is there a minimum holding time? I would assume since its a "Fund Management" that it would give these new coins atleast 1-2years before considering a sell-out
ICN is currently on Kraken and Liqui. Iconomi decides where and how much to invest from the performance fund (pre-seeded with approximately 4.5M usd) - they are the fund managers. 20% of the profits will be distributed back to ICN holders as dividends. The team does not announce where and how much was invested before the relevant ICO is closed. I would assume since its a "Fund Management" that it would give these new coins atleast 1-2years before considering a sell-out It is your decision, I can tell you that many of the token holders are here for mid-long run - see etherscan. 67.5% are still on Iconomi (cold storage) and few of the biggest whales are either holding or hodling Personally, I think that this project has a fair chance to become huge, so I am in no rush to sell anytime soon (your 1-2 years estimation is pretty much as mine). |

No. Just that it will come 2017. There is no date for that so far. The index and the performance funds are started already as announced.No. The performance fund is active with its first funding in Golem project. No direct way to invest into it for now. The index - ICNX is not active yet, but is expected to become available for the public to invest into already this year. Index fund is working from months. Although it is just like a model until now. Final touches are being made to it. It shows us the expected returns we would have got if we invested in index fund. Maybe they have also invested some performance fund money in Wings

Sorry, will have to say No again. Index fund is actively tracking its underlying assets for months and "working" in a sense of re-balancing. As long as it is not open for investors to buy into the index, it is not really working. ICNX is a service, and as such, it is not open for use yet. |

<ICN launched at> $0.1257, $605 BTC price. Don't know about ether, I invested in BTC. ETH launched mid-2015 for $0.30 with $290 BTC price. Today ETH has dropped to around $9.60, so it is at 32X the launch price. Currently ICN is at $0.1712 or up 35% from its launch price. I guess I answered to different question. Iconomi will be no different. One thing that will have to change is that people will need to accept that crypto will not be the wild wild west for long. It cannot be, neither it should. So just like one pays taxes on profits from stocks and other "traditional" investments, it will be the same with crypto profits. Since I really like the concept of Iconomi project, and I think that the timing for such a platform is right on spot, I did my due diligence thoroughly. I can say that the more I look how the project is managed - the team (especially the team), communication with the community, new members that were hired, and pretty much everything around it, I am even more positive about the outcome. Like MoveCrypto said - it is the only project out there that is not trying to invent, or build a complicated concept, and only then to hopefully build the demand and the market around it. Iconomi will be a KILLER simply because: a. There is a REAL demand and a REAL market out there. Iconomi are not inventing anything new, neither they focus on a niche, such as privacy. b. The team is A+ and has proven to successfully work together and build a working product(s). They literally have a working, fully compliant fiat to crypto gateway. c. Time to market is very short, the project is very well funded. d. Timing - blockchain-based products and technologies will be all around in 2017. Before that it can bring more speculations at best. There is more than enough of that in crypto already. Once we have the platform ready this year, we can start. The big step forward will be OFM though. A good, easy to use and secure OFM will be HUGE. |

If iconomi is to really suceed, the whole cryptoworld has to stop being speculative pumps and needs to start having some real value. The way i see it only bitcoin as a crypto gold standard an ethereum who has a few dapps are worth something at the moment. We need real businesses in crypto and real life everyday use cases if we are to get really nasty rich. What do you guys think?
There is a big difference between alt coins and app tokens. Iconomi, especially ICNX will invest in app tokens, and not alt coins (which are basically shit coins). Additionally to that. I was in NYC last week and lawyers there talk 6 digit figures and our PR agency is located right on Wall Street - they for sure are not the cheapest - but are very much needed.
Not implying anything but maybe the Kraken/ICONOMI relationship goes deeper than we thought... It was Jani, not Tim. How is that related to Kraken, btw? Regardless, I think that if/when Iconomi will cooperate it will be very good for both sides. Looks like both companies share very close vision. Definitely a good potential match. |
