I am interested in 5-10 K1's depending on price to replace my GPU's.

We are also looking at the possibility of USB hubs, Raspberry pi's, sd cards pre-flashed. Likely that will be later in September if all but we are working on that. Are you at all interested in bundles with a hub, raspi and the pre-flashed SD card? Or just the 5 - 10 K1's? Prices will be available in the coming week off the website.

raspi == no, I have a tower that I bought as an upgrade to my previous dev machine that I am running my GPU's on.
hub == yes, see above.
sdcard == ?? what are those for? works with the rasbpi somehow? if so then no.

Mostly this purchase would be to upgrade from my GPU's to Asics for the power savings as I have 60+ GH/s on order from two KnC group buys.

Will you be able to get the price down into the $30 range?

They have been to quiet for too long, I am now mostly convinced they are a scam, Perhaps they did not start out that way, but there has been too many red flags to persuade me otherwise.

You should add blastbob and tyrion70's group buy's, something like 20 Jupiters bought and paid for.

They need to clearly represent the units take over 6 mos (at least) to turnaround.  Based on the progression of the difficulty level, people would not buy the units as the smaller ones will be mostly obsolete by the time they arrive.   Unless they have already ordered/received the ASICs for your unit, I don't believe they can make any claim of damage or costs incurred.  CC is safer because you can dispute easily (AMEX the best, they side with consumer almost 100% of the time).

Funny how BTC loyalty goes down the drain as CC with chargeback are called for rescue Smiley

This is true!

All that will happen going forward is people will just use escrow services.

I think people felt there was a bit more of a community and trust with bitcoins but BFL have completely destroyed that one.

It is companies like BFL that are damaging the reputation of Bitcoins for the exact reason you can not do a chargeback.

I have to say I will never purchase any high value item with bitcoins without an escrow service.

terrahash and avalon are doing this as well, which is a shame.

UPDATE 1-Morningstar says clients' credit card data may have been leaked
Fri, Jul 5 2013

(Adds more context in seventh paragraph)

July 5 (Reuters) - Investment research firm Morningstar Inc said personal information, including credit card details, of about 2,300 users of its Morningstar Document Research service may have been compromised due to a security breach last year.

The incident on April 3, 2012 may also have led to the leakage of names, addresses, email addresses and passwords, the company said in a filing on Friday.

Morningstar Document Research, formerly 10-K Wizard, provides a global database and search tool for company filings.

An additional 182,000 clients who had email addresses and user-generated passwords on the system may also have been affected, Morningstar added.

"We have encouraged clients whose credit cards may have been compromised to monitor their credit reports and credit card accounts," the research firm said.

The company has also sent notices to its clients asking them to reset their passwords.

Morningstar spokeswoman Margaret Cohen said the company became aware of the breach in late May and began informing clients in June. The matter became public on Friday when Morningstar released its 8K filing, which it does on the first Friday of every month, and uses as an opportunity to answer questions that have been posed to the company. In the filing, the company said the financial impact was minimal. (Reporting by Avik Das in Bangalore and Svea Herbst-Bayliss in Boston; Editing by Sreejiraj Eluvangal and Lisa Shumaker)

Black Lotus confirms small DDoS attacks that were easily mitigated. But you may have experienced short connectivity issues as their traffic scrubbing kicks in.

Thanks for being on top of this and keeping us informed, we do appreciate it!

I asked for a refund and was refused here is a copy of the email for your amusement.

I am going to challenge paypal even though it has passed the 45 days because according to their terms you can not take money for products that they do not have to sell.

So I will see what happens - not holding my breath though

Hello,

I placed my order on the 6th Arpil order number 100034910, I was aware it was a pre order item - but you did state that it would be 2 months! I can not wait any longer and I require the money due to a change in circumstances.

Therefore I would kindly request that you cancel my order and refund the money.

Many thanks

Chris R*****

You know Chris. BFL noted at the bottom of each miner's info page that it could take 2 months or more to ship our miners. I remember reading it months before you even placed your order. Worst case scenario, in a few months you should receive your miner. You can sell it at that point. Or you could try to auction it off.

it might be worthless by then

what makes you believe that miners immediatley sell?

prisoner's dilemma

and this has been proven? where?, please show citations.

game theory is the business of figuring out actions without a lot proof

you can wait until you get proof, lose out, and thus prove the theory.. (since most won't wait, and act since that is in their control)

capiche?

what? game theory is the exact oposite of that, it is based on cognitive science.

sure bud..  sure

Quote
Game theory is a study of strategic decision making. More formally, it is "the study of mathematical models of conflict and cooperation between intelligent rational decision-makers".[1] An alternative term suggested "as a more descriptive name for the discipline" is interactive decision theory.[2] Game theory is mainly used in economics, political science, and psychology, as well as logic and biology. The subject first addressed zero-sum games, such that one person's gains exactly equal net losses of the other participant(s). Today, however, game theory applies to a wide range of behavioral relations, and has developed into an umbrella term for the logical side of decision science, to include both human and non-humans, like computers.

so you just proved yourself wrong?  it is not cognitive science...  it is modeling interactions between competitve and cooperative environments

since all you can do is quote wikipedia (which is a salad of whatever people expect something to be) and not speak on this from any experience I am not sure why I am wasting my time

How did I prove myself wrong?

I said game theory is decision science citing wikipedia's article regarding it, wherein it states that, game theory is "an umbrella term for the logical side of decision science", contradicting your claim that game theory is "the business of figuring out actions without a lot proof".

Apparently you don't like wikipedia so I will cite a few more which still contradicts your definition of what game theory is:

Quote
http://www.gametheory.net/about/FAQ.html

What is game theory?

Game theory is the study of how people interact and make decisions. This broad definition applies to most of the social sciences, but game theory applies mathematical models to this interaction under the assumption that each person's behavior impacts the well-being of all other participants in the game. These models are often quite simplified abstractions of real-world interactions but offer a tractable way of predicting likely outcomes

Quote
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/gametheory.asp

Definition of 'Game Theory'
A model of optimality taking into consideration not only benefits less costs, but also the interaction between participants.

Game theory attempts to look at the relationships between participants in a particular model and predict their optimal decisions.

Neither of which says that game theory is "the business of figuring out actions without a lot proof" as most science's are not.

Edit:
Officials now say they have accounted for all but one of the 307 people on board an Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul, South Korea, that crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday, killing at least two people. The crash left the runway littered with debris, and forced passengers to jump down the emergency inflatable slides to safety.

At least 181 people have been transported to area hospitals, 49 with serious injuries.
