821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage commission cryptocurrency on: October 09, 2019, 02:30:52 AM
Like a fixed amount of fees? I don't transact with other nonpopular altcoins but you can set your fees into low priority, medium, and high priority to adjust the fees and speed of your confirmation. Like in Bitcoin, this was one of the huge transaction ever with a small fee.
https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-whale-transfers-468-million-for-low-dollar-fee/

Not fees. The OP means fixed amount of percentage.

This may not going to happen because the values of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are moving all the time. If you stick to say 1%, that may be small today but very big in the next day, or big enough today but will be worthless in the next month. And so it is better if the fee will be adjusted every now and then depending on the current level of price.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tips & Insight For All Bounty Hunters on: October 09, 2019, 02:02:04 AM
In my past experience I quickly jump into the Bounties that had a big amount of allocation event though the manager and the project is unknown to others. in the end the project didn't go well so they just abandoned their bounty participants and so as their plan on the roadmap. If you are an early participant in this kind of industry, you might see what kind of bounties are fake. especially those who are managed by "Needmoney" a manager who didn't do his job to inspect the bounty he promotes. and all of them turned into scams. that's why he got the title the worst bounty manager of 2018 and that title got him to his retirement.

The quality of the projects are beyond the control of bounty campaign managers. It's just that there are some bounty managers who accept projects without turning a page. They often ended up handling a scam project. The bounty section of this forum is full of scams. It is not only needmoney that handled scams. Many managers, popular or not, handling many projects or just one or two, are handling scams. It so happened that needmoney's bounty management services is a little bit more popular than others that projects reach out to them. Even irfan has a lot of scam projects.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A better way to bring about adoption of blockchain and crypto-currency on: October 08, 2019, 03:18:46 PM
Hello everyone...
Seeing as the Blockchain industry and crypto-currency market are still running low on adoption.

It prompted me to create this, as an Avenue to share our thoughts about how maximum adoption could be achieved in these industries.

What is your take on this?  Which better can we drive adoption to the blockchain and crypto-currency industry...
  Your opinion matters

Hopefully,  a lot them will go a long way in boosting the participation in these industry.

Bitcoin is going to be widely adopted if people will start spending them and business establishments will start accepting them. That is one ideal state of Bitcoin being a currency. If that happens, Bitcoin has already reached its objective. That is what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted. But before that happens, certain hindrances have to be ironed out first. One of these is the fact that Bitcoin is still not legal in many countries. Another would be the fact that Bitcoin at this stage is not yet capable of processing thousands or even millions of transactions at the same time.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON CEO Circulate “Open Letter” to Community on: October 08, 2019, 02:50:37 PM
Let us see where these upcoming updates will bring Tron (TRX) in the next months or year. I have yet to know what special things will happen in Tron's Network Version 3.6.5 apart from some update in their staking. Justin's hands seem to be full these days. But most of them are putting up hype. Will be interested to take a look at a detailed technical road map of Tron. I am a little curious if there's still a dinner schedule in there.  Grin
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Things Successful ICOs Have in Common. on: October 08, 2019, 02:25:35 PM
OP didn't bother to specify the 5 things successful ICO's have in common as per his thread title. Anyway, here is my list which I think are the characteristics successful ICO's have in common:

1. The project had an original idea and a sound business model.
2. The project had released a working product or may have already had an MVP right from the start.
3. The project had an active Github repository.
4. The development team are very capable in developing the product.
5. The team's identities are verifiable and publicly known.
6. The project have a realistic roadmap.
7. The team give utmost importance to their promises and perform deliverables in time.
8. The team are exercising enough transparency on project related matters.
9. The the project's tokenomics are excellent and justifiable.
10. The project have positive peer reviews among trustworthy members of the community.

Actually these are the answers to my previous post - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5144508.msg51103208#msg51103208 related to criteria in determining the viability of an ICO.

This is pretty much the sum total of everything. ICOs will have all of these ten points for them to at least come up to the surface amidst high competition in the ICO/IEO market. Although at this particular point, originality is hard to find. There are so many projects that are copies of existing ones. But it does not mean that they are already doomed to fail. They could actually improve an existing project to a certain point that their version is going to be the preferred one. Finally, marketing matters. Hype is an effective tool. Even good projects could fail without these.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Value??? on: October 08, 2019, 08:59:21 AM
Ethereum is still a very powerful project. However, the price does not go up. can not get out. I'm sick of this. Because what more needs to be done. There is a project that works. I think the price will increase soon

Everybody needs to calm down. There is nothing to be worried about with Ethereum. There is no problem with Ethereum. The market is not that vibrant for now but it does not mean that there is something wrong with Ethereum. We have to be patient. Why are we acting as if we have not gone through this all in the past? Ethereum is working, leading among all altcoins, and constantly being developed, why worry?
827  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirees in Mexico say their life savings were stolen by a Mexican bank on: October 08, 2019, 08:29:32 AM
Well, everything can be stolen. It does not mean that since it is Bitcoin it is not going to go through the same. We have already heard countless of complaints of stolen BTC and altcoins. Nothing is safe really. Everything is always under attack. The best option it seems is to invest money in other real-life assets such as real estate, business, and others that are hard to steal. Diversified investments is of course advised. And security should be treated with priority.
828  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation around the world and Bitcoin on: October 08, 2019, 08:04:58 AM
Do you think this Economic situation will push More People into Bitcoin?

We know that countries like venezuela, ghana all Ready are Bitcoin adopters.

China USA  trading?  Do you think that has impact too?

Coz i think the gold market is about pop the bubble soon
Comparing those countries are not fair to be honest, and there is no reason for country like USA to move to bitcoin from now unless all their citizen think that way.Trade war has no influence to the adoption of cryptos.

There is no reason for the USA to move to Bitcoin because it is treated as an enemy of what makes the country USA. If they move to Bitcoin, Wall Street will fall, the US dollar will be worthless, and the country will be in debacle. The powerful will suddenly turn equal to everyone. They will not allow that to happen.

Trade wars could pull down the value of the currencies involved and that would make everything uncertain. Somehow, that may benefit Bitcoin if the rich will treat Bitcoin as a hedge to avoid getting caught in the war.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular news websites. on: October 08, 2019, 07:41:17 AM
I personally use https://coinmarketcal.com for following the new (fundamentals) about the already launched projects out there to benefit from trading their news.
If you mean NEWS of the whole cryptoshpere i would recommend you:
1 - Coindesk
2 - CoinTelegraph
3 - Bitcoin.com
4 - Cryptovest
5 - CCN
6 - Bitcoinist
7 - Blockonomi
8 - Cryptoslate
9 - NewsBTC
10 - Invest In Blockchain

This is almost complete. You may add to this list Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, Forbes, and several others. But this list is already enough. You may choose at least 5 of them to follow and you will generally have an idea and a balance view of crypto developments.

I don't recommend you to invest in ICO for now. If that is really your plan, do it in IEO. ICO is dying. But do your own research and perhaps you might find one that is worth taking the risk. But please do not base your decision on ICO review sites. They are generally trash. They get paid for giving high ratings to projects.
830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The price you will buy and sell btc? on: October 08, 2019, 03:49:40 AM
The price you like to buy the btc?
And sell! ?

I think 7k I buy and sell 10k.

That is always moving depending on the path Bitcoin's price is taking. Right now, I don't think we will even hit $7,000. If you wanted to buy, you are lucky if you bought it at less than $8,000. The battlefield right now is at $8,000. It is either it will fall from it and quickly recover or leave it and try to break the next resistance. If it hits $10,000, you better not sell it. It will probably rally more rather than correct. $10,000 appears to be a big deal. It will be defended at all cost. That is the 5-digit threshold.
831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BAKKT The Pump To November on: October 08, 2019, 03:28:18 AM
So looks like we're still BAKKT up guys and I zoom out the charts and check this shit out .... This may push the pump back until November!

BAKKT The Pump To November:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLT3tCMoXpU&t=150s

Are we still holding on to Bakkt until now? Bakkt is good for the longer term. That is the better way of looking at it. There is no need to push yourself believing that Bakkt will cause a sudden pump to the price days after the launching. We can see that Bakkt trading did not turn out the way the hype built around it makes it appear. Instead of a pump, the Bakkt launching day was characterized by a drop on the contrary.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Answers on: October 08, 2019, 02:48:44 AM
It is great that it works for you. You seem to be cautious in your trading decisions. That is really the good way to go in trading. There is no need to rush. Rush decisions in trading will oftentimes end up a bad decision. Rush means emotions are running high. One has to take time studying the chart, waiting for the best entry, and making a moderate order.

One thing though. Take the opportunity to make buy orders when the market has not recovered yet. You are given a chance to buy coins at a cheap price during red times.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Competitions on: October 08, 2019, 02:22:08 AM
Guys, do you think is worth doing them and is it a good time to do one? And what do you think about trading competitions at all?

For small time traders and newbies in trading, you better stay out of this trading competition. Sure, the prize pool sometimes is really big that you are thinking of joining even if you are not really a full time trader. But that is the danger. When you take the bait of the prize pool and risk for it for the sake of having the smallest chance to take a slice, you are already defeated. This is perfect for big time traders.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Government adopting blockchain strategy on: October 07, 2019, 04:06:09 PM
Hello,

I live in Germany and we have a lot of Stores here which already accept Bitcoin including the Stuttgart Stock Exchange they have an own Bitcoin Trading Plattform as App. You can Buy your food with Bitcoin in many places like Burger King or Lieferando.

Bitcoin is an unstoppable force even for the German Government while they are where late in technology adoption always this news seems to show me that they really considering to buy Bitcoin. This would be great.

So there must be a clear set of policies crafted for the acceptance of Bitcoin in your businesses there? The businesses that you mentioned such as Stuttgart Stock Exchange, Burger King, and Lieferando cannot be accepting Bitcoin without certain regulations by the government.

Your country is amazing. And with all these developments I cannot say that you are late in technology adoptions. You are in fact ahead of so many countries in different continents.
835  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange is closed. on: October 07, 2019, 11:18:09 AM
This year there have been several exchanges decided to close. After Coinexchange then now Nova said it would close their exchange.
Their Official News Link:
https://novaexchange.com/news/

Is this a warning to trading activities?

Nova exchange is not growing anymore. They appear stagnant. They lost footing when the influx of new and aggressive exchanges came out. If my memory serves me right, it was already closed before and assumed by a different company or owner. I am not sure but I was a Nova Exchange user in the past and I received an email that it will close or do a major renovation, or rebranding, or something like that. And then it resumed operation. But it still lacks aggressive marketing just like what other exchanges are doing. That must be its last breath already.
836  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading platform? on: October 07, 2019, 10:47:57 AM
I need your assistance  to understand which is the best trading platform apart from binance as I have mixed experience when it comes to trading as my experience with binance was smooth and really productive but I had terrible  experience  with other trading platforms like coinbene  and all as it's  ruined by the bot trading.  Kindly suggest the best trading site apart from binance along with your experience

Bots are found everywhere. So you will probably have to do with it rather than look for an exchange without it. I've had trade experience with KuCoin, Bittrex, HitBTC, Livecoin, Yobit, among others. I never had any negative experience about them. HitBTC, Livecoin, and Yobit are somewhat shady as far as reviews are concerned but I don't have any personal issues with them. And with so many users, there must be some isolated glitches every once in a while. For as long as they attend to your ticket and communication, it is all right.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible reasons why PayPal dropped Facebook’s Libra membership on: October 07, 2019, 10:17:15 AM
Very interesting, but I think the reason is that Paypal doesn't want their name to be associated with Libra right now because of the negativity around this project. A lot of negative sentiments around this project even prior to the release.

And they Paypal have established themselves already and they don't want their good name to be with some product that has a lot of adverse reaction that can have a domino effect on their name in the future.

The real reason is that they are afraid of the governments. I am almost 100% sure that those companies who expressed their commitment and support to the Libra project have received communication to cease and cut their connection. If the US government, the US congress in particular, has convened to discuss the development of Libra and issued a statement to stop it, they would have also expressed the same statement to all Libra partners. And these companies cannot say no to the one who gives them the yes to operate in their jurisdiction.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT Token integrated into blogging platform on: October 07, 2019, 09:49:12 AM
Publish0x has recently added BAT to their platform, this means now you can earn BAT for creating content as well as tipping other articles. It is a free way to earn crypto without having to invest or mine them.

They already have 3 other established tokens on their platform and I see this as a big boost for the platform, they already have over 14,000 signups and i see them overtaking Steemit in the amount of users and content created on their platform. You can read about it on the link below. You can also sign up through the article as well and start earning crypto.

https://www.publish0x.com/bat-fans/bat-token-integrated-tipping-publish0x-xooyrg?a=GELe3POa69

Would love to hear what you think about the project and what potential it has, do you think it will overtake Steemit?

I am a fan of BAT and will definitely check this one out. By the way, what are those other two cryptocurrencies that are also used alongside BAT? One of the reasons why I will check it is that I am a bit curious how much BAT they are giving away. If that is too small that even if you create tens of articles and still earn very insignificant amount, I would rather focus my effort somewhere else. I cannot say whether it has the potential to overtake Steemit, which is a very established project already, but for now it has earned my interest because of the token they are using.
839  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not that good as currency? on: October 07, 2019, 09:19:53 AM
In case of deflationary currency such as Bitcoin, as we are giving our aggregate demand at current price levels. Or in layman terms we are buying at certain price level. Say for example( a completely hypothetical situation), Wheat . You can buy 1kg of wheat for 1 bitcoin today. Now imagine that we grow in our economy and it leads to better production of wheat due to increased efficiency in production. Now we would have more wheat to sell. However, the supply would increase and demand will not because people still have the same 21 million bitcoin in circulation. So now we will have more wheat and the prices would go down and down. But in such case people will begin to hoard money. The will not spend their bitcoin in anticipation of it prices declining tomorrow. This would lead to even more deflation as demand would decrease even further. Thus creating a spiral which we often call the deflationary Spiral. I think this is why thinking bitcoin as a mainstream currency could pose a lot of problems for all of us.

PS: Supply of goods( Aggregate Supply) and supply of money are separate things
Demand of money and demand of goods( Aggregate Demand) are two separate things

Do you agree or refute?

i don't expect to see a future where bitcoin is a national currency. at most, it would be part of a basket of assets (along with gold, silver, etc) that back a fiat currency. so it's probably unnecessary to view bitcoin in a vacuum, as if the whole of economic growth would be restricted to its supply.

your arguments also lead to the age old debate between keynesians and austrians. i'm not sure i feel like injecting myself into that debate!
Bitcoin to be a national currency takes time, because it needs to go mainstream first. To reach such a level it is not simple, because when countries start using bitcoin it will affect their own currency go low in value. Maybe when more countries move to the digital trend bitcoin might get importance as a currency. Until then it is much preferred to be assets similar to gold, silver and other valuables.

There is probably less than 1% possibility of Bitcoin becoming a national currency. I cannot even imagine a sovereign country declaring a currency not of their making, not under their direct regulation or supervision, and not issued by them to become a national currency. The most that can happen to Bitcoin is for it to become the global currency, bridging together all kinds of national currencies. One can travel or send money all over the world without the need to go through different national currencies.
840  Economy / Economics / Re: First Country to have comprehensive regulations for crypto token economy on: October 07, 2019, 06:13:06 AM
Since this Blockchain Act is to improve major protection for cryptocurrency-related investments and businesses, I wonder if they also have an insurance for them? Most problems related to crypto businesses are somehow connected with the unpredictable and irregular rise and fall of prices. Businesses might be terribly affected if the prices will suddenly dives.
