buy or sell?
buy of course. how can a flood of money into a market crash it? this is your only chance to buy coins before they go 300$ + in the next few days.

Lol if you bought at 5$ and didn't sell at 200$ then you missed out on a huge chance to quintuple^2 your bitcoin holdings buy buying again when it goes down
so anyone here praising 'longterm holders' as smart winners: they arent, the people that sold are the smart winners
That works if you can see the future. I was there to help you out in the beginning. So you took the loan, and paid it back in 30 days, and now you're holding (the freebies) for the longest time. Nice poker, man! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Sadly I was unable to secure a loan in time for the run up However I am still doing very well for myself! I can't wait to see where bitcoin takes me in the coming years! I don't really care about the price anymore, I just want to see what happens! This has been the most profitable learning experience I have ever had! I love my bitcoins. A loan to speculate? I hope you are not serious. The newbies are always serious.

Sure ------------------------ OPERATION APRIL FOOLSCOIN ------------------------ Targets: MtGox, BTCE, Bitcoin24, Bitstamp Mission statement: The recent sell-off was only partially successful for several reasons: - Fresh blood looking to buy - Overly bullish market - Only one exchange targeted April 1st occurs at the end of a bank holiday, fiat will be running low on the exchanges and it is the perfect time for a secondary strike. A triple bluff will be used to trick the market into collapse. - Stage 1: Slowly buy BTC, use accounts to spread bullish propaganda on all major channels; bitcointalk, reddit, twitter, etc. - Stage 2: Dump 10k on Gox, and 1K on all other exchanges. - Stage 3: Put buy orders in below the final sale price to profit from the panic sellers. - Stage 4: When price rebounds to within 5% of the original price dump all remaining coins. - Stage 5: DDoS all exchanges and spread negative propaganda on forums. - Stage 6: Send the pre-made press releases to selected news outlets. We got it this time. Meet on IRC at the designated time and be prepared for a late night.

"You can blame the DDoS for the lag but not the correction, which would've happened regardless. To blame this correction on the lag/DDoS is ridiculous because that would be saying that half the worth of a currency can be destroyed simply because people have a tough time logging into their forex account. If my equities platform lagged out I would be highly annoyed, but it would not destroy the stock market and force me to liquidate. This thing was headed down well before and independent of this lag.... If this was a DDoS attack, how can that cripple a multibillion dollar market this easily? If it can, then this market is overvalued because there is an extreme level of systematic risk. Is bitcoin (by way of its service providers) really so fragile that it gets cut in half in the blink of an eye simply because Gox lags out massively? That's even scarier than a natural panic sell-off and subsequent lag after a meteoric rise. On the NYSE, they have circuit breakers that halt trading intentionally because that quells panic (which is what I think this lag does, contrary to what most of you think). If anything, a DDoS would prevent the sell-off from being as deep and as fast as it would have been. If one can truly blame this on an attack, then bitcoin needs Wall Street help (I hate to say it). What's worse, a currency that has a deep and natural sell-off (like this, IMO) or a currency that can be completely wrecked by a hacker? I opt for natural sell-off.....because otherwise we need a very strong and experienced organization (e.g., Goldman et al.) to step in and provide a platform." https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=172550.msg1796607#msg1796607How can micro transactions affect the price? From past trends after an MtGox lag price drop, people get skittish and kinda feel things out for a few days. We will have that going into the weekend.
The biggest question will be, what happens Monday morning.
$300

Thanks for the advice, I'll go outside today.
I might do that too, I should get a matte screen cover for my laptop. Or perhaps just carry a blanket over my head and sit on a lawn chair. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Won't Google Glasses be nice? Plugged in to bitcoin 24/7... They're for nerds ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Agree that its impossible to completely stop bitcoin, but it will pop the bubble as exchanges, bitpay etc will be forbiden too.
They would thrive online by operating out of territories where bitcoin is at least legal if not encouraged, the way that online gaming does now. But buying/selling bitcoin would become somewhat trickier in banned countries, for sure. online gaming or gambling?

0.02 bot is ridiculous
SOOOOOOO ridiculous... if this bot, or one of these bots it yours... you are screwing it up for everyone else. Just ignore it, it's irrelevant. The lag that they cause isnt. Yes, thats exactly the point actually. They are manipulating others' input so they can make more on the spread themselves. Finally somebody realizes what's wrong with Mt Gox...

Yep, hopefully with time and education more like him will emerge.
They write things that "interest" people, it doesn't matter how educated they are.
