8201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: November 08, 2017, 05:41:26 AM
I think this math will not going to start because it is heavy rain in Thiruvananthapuram. Just 1 hour left to start this game don't know what will happen. If overs reduce also no problem match should start because this is a very exciting game and many people are waiting for this game to watch.
Damn i did not know that an international match is played in Trivandrum ,all of the matches played in Kerala were in Kochi and glad to see the change in tide, but this is not the perfect season for the matches as it is rainy season.Either way i am glad to see India winning the match even though the match is reduced to 8 overs.

It was again a good bowling and batting performance from the Indian team but they failed to score a good number runs because of the weather conditions but that small total bowler defended very well. Indian batting was not that good yesterday because all top order batsman run rate was not that great but towards the end, they manage to put up some good runs.

I didn't even realize the match was on till I switched channel and saw the last two overs, but have to say given the circumstances team India outplayed Kiwis, I felt it was a small total but kiwi just didn't have it to go for victory, especially bowler got the match in team India favor, however I felt Ms Dhoni missed two run out chances he should have taken them. I wonder how long he'll survive it, but team India has looked vulnerable a lot during this series, they should fix their short coming.
8202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real estate for Bitcoins on: November 07, 2017, 11:35:03 AM
Latvia has become the first country that started selling its real estate for Bitcoins. The huge apartment, which costs 1,5 million Euro is now offered for 399 BTC.

Will you sell your house or flat for cryptocurrency? Why?

I have seen many such posts come up recently where they are selling real estate for Bitcoins. I would be open to selling it, one of the many reason is I could command a higher price than I would normally would have gotten if I would have sold it in the open market, plus say I sold for 1lakh dollars, add taxes on it which reduces my income, and they remain the same, in Bitcoins no taxes, plus it could increase to 2lakhs to. If one goes and sell in Zimbabwe almost double one can get, so it's a thump up for me, if one ask me to sell real estate for Bitcoins.
8203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: November 07, 2017, 08:27:33 AM
I've had good moments and bad moments in my life, but the worst moments is when I spent the entire day gambling and focusing only to winning money for this or that.
I'm tired, seriously, to win big and then fall in more deep "debt" because of greediness. I can't afford to have such experiences anymore, it makes me sad the fact that instead of saving those money I preferred to spend them on a gambling site, I was like oh ok it's just x, so If i can lose it it's ok, oh it's just a faucet, it's ok if I lose it. But when If even with the faucet I reach like 0.06 or more, and then I lose them it's still a touch to the heart, that makes you say if I start back with this amount I can magically make it 0.6, yes probably, cause I did that in the past, as my far record is been from 0.001 to 1.6 btc in 3 hours with roulette, but let's not dig that.

I prefer spending the money on what are my necessities now, than see my wallet drop in amount. Every single f*** time, every time I had the chance to buy btc, or doge whatever, I ended up expecting to win big.
EVEN if I win big, I repeat that, I waste the money afterward, because I think it's a good idea to bet bigger now if my budget supports it, and there it goes down the hole.

Why I decided to leave gambling anyway? I saw how rapidly I was going down in the past few days, and like an hot potato to keep sinking my butt on the wallet. I'm tired of that. I better move my butt and find something that used to keep me busy, like programming, I love programming. But then I got stressed and I started to gamble.

I hope you all understand. All my friends I made in these years on the gambling sites, thank you everyone for your support of my strong decision.
Thanks everyone.

This is the classic example of gambler life, it happens with literally all the gambler, it has happened with me to, I remember my early days, when I had just started gambling, and I got over possessed by it, and I litterraly over played the entire day on sport matches, I was nearly 5k down in debt and the very last match I played a bet which would square me off or put me in 10k dollars debt, luckily I was able to square it off, I hope you continue to remain strong, cause I yet time time play, just a bad habit
8204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price Worth $7500 on: November 06, 2017, 01:04:26 PM
Bitcoin Price Will Have ‘No Difficulty’ Hitting $10,000,
After Bitcoin hit $7,000 and stayed above it Monday, the virtual currency’s most famous fans are confident $10,000 will involve little effort.
Will the bitcoin price reach $10k by the end of the year, then what about the altco price??

The entire Bitcoin rally is based on the the futures option coming to the wall street, it's yet to figure how the fork will come, so that's one interesting thing we all need to wait and see how it goes, if it will be bad it will not be nice for Bitcoins, but, so far we don't know so for. Me 8k was a big thing if rally continues, we could see it 9k. Downfall we could see it at 5k.so let's be hopeful it works.
8205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I start gambling site? on: November 06, 2017, 10:21:26 AM
I have budget of 300 to 500$ for this project
Is my budget is enough to start own gambling site , exclude advertising.
How much time I need to spent on this?
Which features should I add in my gambling site? ( Games or etc.)
Anything Else or any suggestion.
PLEASE DONT COME IF YOU WANT TO LAUGH ON ME

( I don't have any knowledge but I want to invest my money somewhere which give me good profit or only profit)

Well it's always a good thing to plan to start something, but your budget is very low. You would require a good amount to just buy a good script, then pay to make it look beautiful, add good security measures, you'll then need a good amount of money to pay your user's. Hence I feel you're yet not ready to start your site. Rather you could invest in ICO or partner with reputed casino. That will help you.

8207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are you all holding your Bitcoin for the fork? on: November 06, 2017, 09:52:38 AM
I had been moving mine to a wallet for the fork. But then I'd have to deal with how wallets are going to recognize the forked coins and have to worry about figuring out how to split the coins and whatnot. Saw Coinbase said they are planning to have the B2X coins available 24 hours after the fork, so now I'm just holding all my coins on Coinbase for the fork as that just seems like the easiest solution. Once the dust has settled and the danger has passed and we know which chain is the main chain I'll sell the minority chain and throw all my Bitcoin in a paper wallet.

How about you guys? Coinbase? Exchanges? Wallet?

I am doing the same thing I had done before this year first fork move my coins away from coinbase.com, I was recently tempted to go back but I am very glad I didn't they closed my account it's really strange. I am keeping my coins locked in the electrum and I am not going to claim the btc2x until they have replay protection. I would advise all to move to electrum and be safe cause post this another fork is coming in December.

8209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 06, 2017, 03:47:39 AM
Neymar got in trouble with taxes in Spain too guys. No way he moves back to La Liga. PSG are paying him a ridiculous salary from dirty Emirates money, he will be at PSG for years.

I wonder only how long will he stay, I doubt that he will continue for more than two years, he's already getting over shadowed by cavanii, mhabbe, plus he's now realizing how small and boring psg can be. One big transfer I feel could be Messi, he's not signing a contract and that's when I feel he could move to man city. Manchester United need defender's and a player In midfield, so I feel they could move for rose
8210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investment Advice on: November 06, 2017, 03:41:46 AM
The price of BTC has been going to the moon lately, is it reasonable to think that it's because of the upcoming fork?

Do you guys expect that there will be a major crash after the fork the 16th of november?
If I recall there wasn't one after BCH was released on the first of august.

Currently I don't think that the impact of fork has been taken into effect, this rally has been done due to the launch of future's which is to take place down this year. The fork so far has mixed impact, so there are people who are for it and there are people who are against it. Currently there's not really much clarification on its support. I don't think we may see a crash but prices could be haywire for a while if they don't clinch support and they don't have action replay, so that's a risk which can harm all it users.
8211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I would like to invest! on: November 05, 2017, 01:57:53 PM
Is it to late to start know in 2017 to invest in virtual coins and is any advice for "dummies" around here?

Anytime is good for investment, there's no fixed time for investments, crypto world any one can get in at any time, so for that my first advice would be for you is to invest in Bitcoin, then use only electrum wallet, and never disclose your private keys and seed to anyone. Buy in small quantities say you have 1000$ to invest keep investing 200$ or less amount at intervals, when it's down more and High less. Remember there are fees per transaction buy and sell so check it out. You can invest any amount, just remember there are fees per transaction.
8212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Japan ban ICOs? on: November 05, 2017, 12:27:28 PM
Earlier,we saw china which was a dominant power in bitcoin trading banned all ICOs due to lots of scam projects.Following it,south korea took the same step and now vietnam.

Now every one's eye is on japan.Japan has been the powerhouse of crypto currencies having almost 63% of world's bitcoin trade.Already, many global companies have shifted towards japan and switzerland due to the crypto friendly environment.

Now,with increasing scam ICOs,could japan too take the same step?

And if it bans all ICOs,then what would be the immediate impact over the crypto world?

Kindly share your thoughts.

ICO are getting banned because of the many scams associated with it, but I feel sooner or later it will be better there will be some rules. As far as Japan is considered, I don't think they will immediately take a action because they have heavily invested in Bitcoins and any price fall will severely effect them, so for time being it's safe in Japan but I don't think for long though.
8213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any difference in investing casino ICOs and casino bankroll investments? on: November 05, 2017, 11:35:35 AM
Casino icos are new for us. I invested in bitdice ico and I was in their twitter bounty, I expect some tokens from that too. What is better time will tell, I think that icos will be better for long term holding then investing in bankrolls. If you are a token holder you will have some benefits from that, I know about bitdice cause I seen thei plans, I don't know do others have similar programs. Their token is already on HitBTC, you can trade with that and it's like casino is on stock market. I like this idea more then directly investing in casino bankroll, but we will see what will happen as I said, this is new and working only couple months.

Yes you made a very good decision Bitdice ico was simply the best ico to hit the market, event when there was a ban on ico, it continued to make money, op you're doing ico you really need to study a lot if you go for a ico many countries are banning them, and many turn a scam, you need to really study them, their reputation. Ico are risky but good ico can give you good returns. Bank roll you'll have to find a really good casino again. I would recommend you to check on Bitdice to check which earnings opportunity are there. Other casino's I don't use, so can't recommend.
8214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: November 05, 2017, 07:50:50 AM
If you would win a large amount suddenly, like a jackpot or a lottery, what would you do with the money? Especially if the money is coming to you suddenly, unexpected, and you were not prepared to win such large amount.

Let's say you would win something like 200 BTC or more,  which I have seen many gambling websites payout from time to time. What would you do with it?

1) You would gamble with it again, trying to multiply the bet, to get even more money
2) You would withdraw the money, and invest it into some financial investment: maybe some cryptocurrency investment, maybe some fiat investment
3) You would spend it:
    A) Buy a car or a house
    B) Spend it on women or wife
    C) Spend it on your kids
4) Donate it to charity
5) Start up a business
6) Hold it in Bitcoin
7) Other

Its difficult to really say what I would do, maybe first pinch myself hard that I actually won, then reconfirm that I won. Then I would like to see the goals I have planned for the long time and would set up budgets, if there money left I would then do charity, but in between I would definitely buy some Bitcoins and do a giveaway out here so all can celebrate my success. My dreams are small, so are my needs, so I do hope, I can make a difference if I win.
8215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: November 05, 2017, 07:43:00 AM
Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?

The concern is legit as most of the people often are confused to hold it or sell it. I have often suggested to people to hold it for long term or tie it to a goal. I feel that bitcoin is not something that one should try to short sell it. One should hold it for the very long term. Holding it for the long term makes more sense, as there will dips in short term, but look at the chart of Bitcoins, it only goes up and up in the long run and that's the key to make more money using Bitcoins.
8216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prices Still Firmly Above $7000, Without China on: November 05, 2017, 05:20:32 AM
[/sup][/i][/i]Bitcoin is unstoppable these days, passing one “technical” test after another, crossing the $5000-mark, the $6000-mark, and the $7000-mark in a matter of weeks. The “people’s currency” has gained 27.33% in seven days, as market volume increased.

What’s behind the digital currency’s breathtaking run?

Certainly, it isn’t the lifting of regulations which halted trade of digital currency in China, as some expected (back in September, China banned Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and shut Bitcoin exchanges, sending the digital currency’s price tumbling from $5000 to close to $3000).

Instead, there have been a number of positive developments that helped build investor confidence and hype in the “people’s” currency. One of them was the stepping up of government regulations in US and Japan to protect the cryptocurrency markets from possible manipulation, while limiting the supply of new coin offerings.

Coin/Investment Trust   Change 7d*
Bitcoin (BTC)   27.33%
Ethereum (ETH)   1.79
Litecoin (LTC)   1.80
Bitcoin Investment Trust Shares (GBTC)
   29.37

I believe China did play it's part not a significant but it did, the lifting of the ban would of course play a role. However the main reason was the futures that thing was a catalyst and that has changed the way Bitcoins is behaving, never seen such a big rally and I believe it's just the tip of the iceberg, it's just going to tide above and above. I feel future's is bad, but till it's making Bitcoin prices are going up, I guess we all can't even complain.
8217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why i think the CME listing Bitcoin Futures is actually a bad thing! on: November 04, 2017, 04:05:51 PM
most comments i read and heard after CME announced that they will list  Bitcoin Futures in Q4 2017 ..
where the sorts of  MOON! wallstreet flood gates about to open!, etc..

for me personally that news left a  sort of bad aftertaste...

here is why

it is now very invietable that the bitcoin markets "spot" and futures will be heavily manipulated which may lead to a nosedive
(after a prolonged upmove) which we havent seen in a long time affecting average joe  , mom and pop etc.. , and the outcry for a regulation
of the bitcoin markets will be huge , which will be bad for btc in the longterm.. and may verywell be the first nail in the coffin...

just some examples which you can see and mirror easily on the bitcoin markets

Strategic Trading and Manipulation with Spot Market Power

Abstract

When a spot market monopolist holds a position in the corresponding futures market, he has an
incentive to deviate from the spot market optimum to make this position more proftable. Rational
futures market makers take this into account when setting prices. We show that the monopolist, by
randomizing his futures market position, can strategically exploit his market power at the expense of
other futures market participants. Furthermore, traders without market power can manipulate futures
prices because their trades can strategically reveal to market makers similar trades by the monopolist.
The moral hazard problem stemming from spot market power thus provides a venue for strategic trading
and manipulation that parallels the adverse selection problem stemming from inside information.

Detecting price artificiality and manipulation in futures markets: An application to Amaranth

Abstract

In this article we propose a general method to test whether economic data support the claim of futures market manipulation.
We examine the question of whether or not Amaranth manipulated the market for natural gas futures using three alternative methods.
The first is our contribution to the existing body of literature on the analysis of manipulation claims.
The subsequent two have previously been discussed in the literature. All three methods yield the same result: economic data
on futures prices and Amaranth's trades do not support the claim that Amaranth manipulated the natural gas futures market in 2006.

DETECTING MANIPULATION IN FUTURES MARKETS:
THE FERRUZZI SOYBEAN EPISODE

Abstract:

Market manipulation--the exercise of market power in a futures market--is a
felony under US commodity law, but recent court and regulatory decisions have made
conviction of a manipulator problematic at best. Instead, regulators attempt to prevent
manipulation through various means. Deterrence is more efficient than prevention if
manipulations can be detected ex post with high probability. This article examines a
particular episode of attempted manipulation--the Ferruzzi soybean episode of 1989--to
demonstrate how to detect manipulation in a commodity market. The analysis
demonstrates that it is exceedingly unlikely that the price and quantity relations observed
in May and July 1989 were the result of competition; they are instead reflective of market
power. The ability to detect manipulation reliably suggests that existing regulation of
manipulation in futures and securities markets is inefficient because it relies on costly
preventative measures rather than ex post deterrence.

Honestly I have been having mixed feelings as well, at one point I was very happy that bitcoin prices were rising, till I came to know of the futures, as the Op mentioned future's are open to manipulation, but I am not sure as to how will they be able to do it, but what concerns me is in end it shall be regulated, people could loose more than they will ever gain, cause people used to hold for long term and this will be purely speculative and this is not the assect to bet on.
8218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Coinbase.com alert. on: November 04, 2017, 01:01:28 PM
Just a day or two, I had asked opinion whether to move my coins to coinbase.com to get free btc2x and 95% agreed it was a bad move and best to wait for alternative as and when it come. I had one or two dollars long back and I wondered if I could move it since 2$ is fees. What happens now is coinbase.com is accepting my log in but it has deleted my account, now it comes add new wallet, it has my log in data but account is gone. So for all of those people who have money on coinbase.com think again, in my case my balance was insignificant but your's might not.
8219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 04, 2017, 09:07:35 AM
this week 2 amazing big matches in the Premier League:
Manchester City vs Arsenal and Chelsea vs Manchester United!

If both Chelsea and Arsenal win, they completely re-open the games with the top 5 teams enclosed in just 6 points.

instead, If Manchester City wins and at the same time United does not win its match, the Citizens would have a big advantage of at least 7 points and would have the Premier League already in his hands.

Man City vs Arsenal - Man City to win definitely, they look unstoppable atm.
Chelsea vs Man Utd - This one is a lot tougher to predict, I think maybe Chelsea will win 1-0.
Without a doubt Manchester City are going to win the game, but I hope for the sake of Arsenal that they don't go through the same humiliation thaypt Liverpool put them through in their last game and with the Chelsea game, I think though Chelsea are playing at home they are not the favorites to win the game I think a draw will be the outcome of the game.

These are the Sunday's that really excite every football fan, It's a must win game for arsenal and they can actually stop city, ozil and Sanchez it's their audition moment, and I feel they can actually cause a big upset. For wenger sake, I hope arsenal don't get smacked. Another favorite match Manchester United vs Chelsea, that's another crazy match there's so much bad blood and a red card is on the cards. I feel Chelsea are weak, and hurting this only ads spice to the game.
