If you compare with 2009 then yes you are late.  But if you compare with 2020 then you just need to invest right away right now! on 2020 when you would look back today you will be glad that you have invested.

long story short, it's not too late just invest in bitcoins. You don't need to buy a full bitcoin, you can start with BTC0.01 or so..  good luck!

Do you think like that? There are too many ICO projects, so you can make big profits in short period.

Everyone can invest in bitcoin and be in profit after some years. We are seeing in a consistent manner that the price of bitcoin during this year has seen only uptrends and right now we are at the all time high price of bitcoin. I would start investing if I were you as you will be still in that less than 1% population that knows bitcoin. It means bitcoin is still unknown to the rest of 99% world population so investing in it will be a very smart move.

Anytime is good for investment, there's no fixed time for investments, crypto world any one can get in at any time, so for that my first advice would be for you is to invest in Bitcoin, then use only electrum wallet, and never disclose your private keys and seed to anyone. Buy in small quantities say you have 1000$ to invest keep investing 200$ or less amount at intervals, when it's down more and High less. Remember there are fees per transaction buy and sell so check it out. You can invest any amount, just remember there are fees per transaction.

If you want to invest you can start with small amount. 2017 I think is not a bad year to start since I think it is the start of something new in bitcoin because this year a lot of investor now are putting their money in bitcoin. I suggest to buy and hold first to know first how bitcoin price is too unpredictable but still continue to increase.

Why is it too late to invest?  as the good folks said; it maybe hard to make fast profits but not impossible. just keep track of the graphs and make the jump. It is risky business but hey no reward without risk

Indeed you have lost a great momentum that occurred in the past few years, but you still have many opportunities to get a profitable investment. today the digital currency continues to grow and you can get an amazing thing when you dare to invest here. today the growth of digital currency is rapidly growing and demand is getting bigger, every time people who use digital currency are increasing very rapidly. I'm sure there are still many opportunities that we can use. It's never too late to invest in the world of digital currency.

If you would like to invest it is important that you do your homework before buying your first bitcoins. Get comfortable on how to store your coins safely, this is the number one thing. Find out which types of storage there are like, hot wallets where you store your coins with a bitcoin wallet provider, or cold wallets like hardware wallets where you store your coins offline. The list goes on so start studying.

Seeing how the trend of 'new ATH every week' keeps going, you should invest in BTC now before the price gets out of reach. Few advices:
- Do some research about Bitcoin so you can understand how it works.
- invest in the long-term.
- Don't usea web-wallet, use Electrum or a hadware wallet if you're think about getting more than 1 BTC.
- Don't be alarmed when you see a dip in the price, remember that Bitcoin is volatile and fluctuation is a normal behaviour every once in a while. Especially now with the upcoming hard fork (around the 15th-19th this month) where many people believe that a massive drop in the price is going to happen. And if this happens then that would the time to buy more cheap coins.

Buy a ledger wallet fill it up with BTC and wait a year.
Dummy proof concept.
Even better to add a monthly BTC amount.

Nope, it is not too late for you to know about the virtual coins and learn in investing on it for profits. My advice in here for dummies is to search in investopedia, google and youtube for the basics.

...this is not.

Mid- to short-term it's hard to say whether the market will continue growing or whether we'll see a reversal in market trend. Long term I personally am still definitely bullish, even should another 5-10 year bear market occur.

I would stay clear from alts and ICOs for the beginning though. Too many scams, too many false promises of quick profits. Do your research first, try to understand what you are about to invest in -- including Bitcoin -- and don't let greed get the better of you, lest you stand to lose more than you could gain.

Start to invest little by little. Maybe once a month or once a week. That way you won't buy only from the top. Coinbase is a good place to start for newbies.

do you see mass adoption? if not then it is still a lot of time to invest in bitcoin. but when you saw everyone know about bitcoin, every shop accepting it instead of Master Cards, Paypal, and all the other crap,... then you can know by that time it is getting late to invest because price is near the max.

if you are talking about NOW, then maybe it is a little too high for short term for buying bitcoin. although i am expecting a bigger rise before this rally ends.

It is never too late before the next halving, in 2020. There is nothing special to learn if you buy just to save the bitcoins in a wallet. Buy them, withdraw them to your desktop wallet, and then learn tranquilly about bitcoin and the crypto-currencies.

It's never too late, maybe if you invest in bitcoin, it's going to be a little hard to make a big profit, maybe you should invest in altcoin. Actually I do not trust altcoin at all, but I feel the positive effect of investing in altcoin.
I hope this helps

ICO's are mostly gambling. Not real investment.

I don't think its too late to invest into crypto currencies. Of course you won't get such a big profit in such a
short time how early adopters of bitcoin did. But there are a lot of interesting projects available.
Just read into some and decide in which to invest. Investing into bitcoin is probably the best way starting crypto investments.
We are living in a time where the payment is changing. I am sure crypto currencies will be the standard payment method
in 10-15 years. I don't really think it will be bitcoin which will be used worldwide.
But there will definetly come new (regulated) crypto coins provided by governments.
