8221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow and how to trust them on: September 24, 2019, 06:01:38 AM
Even the escrow on localbitcoins (which I love) is in fact a trust of localbitcoins. I have been bitten once by it. Bought some, sent the money, and the guy launched a dispute and I had to go through a whole long process. I won, but the bitcoin should have been mine and it was stuck in escrow for so long.

So however it works for escrow, a guy, a company, you still got to trust them based on the community feedback for them.
8222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 23, 2019, 10:01:28 AM
tomahawk I only realized now you are a Madridista! As much as I love my team, I think any true fan wants to see their team play well and with excitement, so for me it is really hard to see Barcelona struggle like they are. The Spanish era is over now, and our possession football which everyone copied must advance to the new era of Liverpool and City or we are finished. I don't know what to say really.

And we need to do something about shitposters in this gambling forum. Should report their posts.
8223  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETCOIN.AG - NFL Handicapper Battle - 2.5 BTC Prize Pool - Best Crypto Casino on: September 23, 2019, 08:53:33 AM
Just realized that if poker wasn't offered anymore, then it could be best to remove it from the banner in your signature space;) Just saw that it is quite obvious in there.

Any regular gambler here care to explain how this NFL Handicapper works to a complete non NFL understanding newbiew? Is it possible at all for a guy who doesn't play NFL to use the promo?
8224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Soon next Stellar pump move. on: September 23, 2019, 08:20:16 AM
Hard to see Stellar pump, but easy to see it slowly gaining traction, and that's exactly what it's been doing over the years, if you can of course ignore the price. Same goes for most of the alts I'm holding so I see no problem in riding the price dumps. A Pump is nice but let's face it holders aren't going to do much!
8225  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 23, 2019, 05:56:26 AM
1 ticket costs only 1 satoshi. You don't need to wager 500 sats to get 1 ticket. Wagering to get tickets is stupid. Just get 500 tickets instead.

If I straight up buy tickets, that's always -EV. Due to the way their sports system is setup, it's possible to get a +EV bet and free tickets. The lottery is extremely -EV if you buy tickets as the pot is much lower than a 1 ticket:1 sat ratio, so I would argue the other side and say that buying tickets is stupid, while wagering and getting tickets as a bonus is the way to go.

I don't know what the logic is about getting tickets with satoshi either. Unless all you do is freeroll and you use freeroll satoshi to get tickets, then you're basically just losing time. I'd like to see something come out of my captcha time!

Sports system I'm not sure how it becomes +EV though. I've bet there but I see the odds are really not so good.
8226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regret In Changing A Bet Have You Experienced on: September 22, 2019, 12:57:37 PM
Yeah we've all been there. I don't know how much he bet so we don't know what the multiplier was. I have grown my bankroll x3 from $100 just recently, so there I was sitting on $400 (in Bitcoin) and I was only $100 from my target. But I had 2 really close calls, and I was getting impatient. I thought, okay, why not I Just bet $300 at 90% 3 times?

I lost it on the 1st try haha.

On the other hand, I've also changed my mind on the last bet and worked out.
8227  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. on: September 22, 2019, 12:11:20 PM
I think next year sportsbet have to find a new team for cooperation.

They don't have to. The boys just had a bad day and there are more games to come for them so why be discouraged with one match?
This happens for most teams, there are times that you really can see something unexpected. But that's it and it's already done so move on to the next match.  Wink

Yeah. Watford has their highest ever finish in the league and it is a good team structurally.

They just had a bad day, they are low on confidence with no wins yet, and City were wounded from Norwich (who lost to Burnley!). Remember Chelsea had a bad day also last season on this exact meetup. Don't give up yet Sportsbet, this is just the way things happen in football. Move on, win the next game, one game at a time.
8228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are u buying alts? on: September 22, 2019, 10:51:15 AM
I don't know if I would call this signs of unrestrained bullishness. Sure, We've seen ETH go from 180 to 220 but it's strugggling right now.

It wasn't long ago when we saw $200 to $330 and that's even a bigger unrestrained bull, yet it all fell down anyway too.

Going to be very very hard to see how things work out, the key is just not to act indiscriminately.
8229  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 22, 2019, 09:49:43 AM

For most people in third world countries it might be profitable to go and collect faucets every hour. But as you said that strategy is not really profitable to be honest. A solid strategy is to get referrals work for you. But it requires some actual work.

Any strategy needs hard work. I would say referrals are great if you have a network and you know how to plug faucets to them (or the lottery or the lambo) but faucet collecting itself is pretty "solid" to be honest, just that you either live in a place where dollars buy you a lot. At today's rate even if you collect 20 times a day it's only 12 cents (and that's me at x3 bonus from freeroll).
8230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A quick disturbing question on: September 22, 2019, 09:01:48 AM
Volumes is purely on the number of trades, and the amount of coins/tokens per trade. This is nothing to do with value surges that could happen in other places.

Sometimes you see, no volume but lots of orders so no demand. Then price can suddenly change, and then people buy at the new price, and that can also cause crashes instead of surges.
8231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 22, 2019, 07:34:30 AM
To be honest, this is my first time seeing a team with over 70% possession register less than 10% chances in a match[1].

That being said, Barca didn't defend really well. The first goal happened after they lost possession on their defense area, not enough cover to mark Granada forwards. It's a 3v2 situation and one of the attackers is free. Barca's left their right side free, while the midfield ran slowly to cover the CB. A bit of luck might play on Granada's goal but that's deserved.

This is Barcelona. Possession is always guaranteed, but the chances never are. I've seen it before and we will continue to see it. Teams that keep possession must also create the chances and if they can't, they get more desperate and lose possession where it matters, and it bites them back as you saw. Teams like Granada didn't get lucky, they just knew where to steal the ball back.
8232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 21, 2019, 01:01:15 PM
We take on Granada tonight and wow have those boys from the South looked so great in La Liga so far yeah? Champions League was a shitty game. Our defence is so bad and even Messi shouldn't have been brought on I think he was rusty but this is the perfect time to bounce back. They say he shouldn't play but he needs a couple more games to get back to full speed.

Suarez or Messi to get the brace, what do you think?
8233  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: September 21, 2019, 10:11:37 AM
Hello! Just curious and asking here if there is any invest option available at bitdice. I do not see anything from the website but in the posts before in this thread I see a few people mention about investment. Is it somehow hidden or available to private players only? Thanks for the answer in advance:)

I guess you must be referring to the some of the recent questions about CSNO token. There is no public bankroll in BitDice, but you can indirectly invest into it by buying CSNO tokens (it was the token that was sold during the coin offering). Profits made from the casino are distributed to CSNO holders.
8234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Stocks vs Gold | The Ultimate Comparison on: September 21, 2019, 09:26:48 AM
Sorry but I've seen better overviews. The problem with many of these comparisons is they're all done by people who have an investment in either of them. Gold guy thinks gold is better right? Bitcoin guy thinks Bitcoin is better. What's the surprise?

I like Bitcoin and I think gold is better than Bitcoin for super sure investments.
8235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what ways Bitcoin is different from traditional currencies? on: September 20, 2019, 11:21:18 AM

so simple like it can be illustrated by a elementary pupil, you have a $100 dollar paper bill ,
put it in your wallet the value will stay as it is.buy bitcoin with your $100 , keep it stored in your digital wallet /hardware wallet ,
wait for pump sell it ,the value is different. This is just one reason why bitcoin is distinctly different from tangible currency.

Er, no. You have no idea how money works do you?

Put bitcoin in your wallet. Put $100 bill into your wallet.

And after 100 years you still have the same amount of bitcoin in the wallet, and the same amount of dollars in your wallet.

The difference is, the purchasing power of $100 in 100 years will be different, but guess what, so will Bitcoin.

We THINK BTC value will go up, but we don't really know. We know for sure $ value will go down after 100 years.
8236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to start Crypto Trading? on: September 20, 2019, 10:06:17 AM
one thing, learning to trade cannot be compared to learning guitar,
learning guitar needs to practice directly,
but trading, we need theory and practice, but we don't have to feel defeat, because we can analyze the movement of coins without having to trade, and after the results of our analysis are good and accurate, then we can start trading.

Well, same thing about playing guitar. You can practice until you are perfect in your room but you think you are perfect without getting outside opinion.

Play in the real world. Let real people listen. Then you find out how good you are in public. How good people think you are because that is all that matters when it comes to music.

Any industry you only know how good you are in the real environment. Trading in practice without emotions, without real money at stake and real market conditions?
8237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Value??? on: September 20, 2019, 08:53:11 AM
Does anyone have any logical reasons why ETH price is still so low compared to its actual value? Isn't it like 70% of all the prominent ICO's, IEO's, STO's are all built on top of the Ethereum network? They require buying gas to run right? Wouldn't that create demand, and result in an increasing price for ETH? Is it safe to say it's being price suppressed? Or do I not understand how the platform works?

Just because people demand to pay in ETH doesn't mean anything for ETH. Some would argue the value is correct. If ETH didn't have all those txs overload and didn't have all the ICOs asking for erc20 tokens and all that gas needed to make txs run, there wouldn't be any price at all for ETH.

It's just needing time now to grow. Overcome all the 2.0 hurdles. Then it'll be fine.
8238  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETCOIN.AG - NFL Handicapper Battle - 2.5 BTC Prize Pool - Best Crypto Casino on: September 20, 2019, 08:05:28 AM
OK. Site is back to normal.

Next time it would be better to inform us first so nobody panics. Especially when you are asked to change your password, that was probably something that should at least have a message to say why, because you normally are only asked to do so when something happened. A breach like SyGambler said or something similar
8239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: September 20, 2019, 06:48:35 AM
Before the craze of cryptocurrencies, bitcoin has been known for it and the idea came out from others and that's when the altcoins were born. Whether there will be alts or none, the crypto market has huge potential even if it's bitcoin alone. Think of how much bitcoin would be if the total market cap is on it.

Nah, the craze for tokens and ICO is what you're talking about. We had alts long before 2017, I came into them in 2016 and they were around since at least 2013, maybe earlier but I'm not aware or if they're still around even. CMC was already crowded when I first looked and this wasn't even counting all the nonlisted coins!
8240  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 20, 2019, 06:14:21 AM

Have anyone won a lottery at Freebitco ? I have tried my luck many times in this lottery but never won it. Even I used to solve the captcha at this site every hour but never got a big reward. Maybe I am not that lucky to go for a Lamborghini  Roll Eyes

Not once, even with 10% chance. And then I see someone winning top prize with just a few tickets Sad

10%?! You must have had around 15m-20m tickets! Where do you get all them from? Do you buy them? Its unusual for me to get anywhere near 0.05%!

My highest ever was around 0.05% if I recall correctly too, and that was with me wagering really dangerously on nonstop auto (or rather setting max bets auto and repeating when it was over.

Ended up losing quite a bit, but recovered some from all the RPs converted to satoshi. Never won the lottery too and I keep seeing people win with a few hundred or thousand. There's that famous 2 ticket winner too!

I got a few ticks for Lambo, not even 50 yet, but hey, maybe my turn is coming;)
