Seems about right. I am pleased with the stable 17+gh, have not checked the power draw. Has anyone metered these yet to see the pull. It's rated at 1200w but have seen some people claim there's are drawing more in the 900-1000 range. If so that's nice. More hash power, less draw then rated. Please post if you have checked the power at the wall thanks. which pool are you using? Doing some testing but nicehash right now. Gonna give it another full day or 2. |

To all,
I have calculated that it no longer makes sense to buy anymore Antminer D3's or any other Dash mining equipment because they amount you get per day will $2/day by June 2018.
My calculation is based on the current rate of growth and factors in $0.18/kwh.
So buyer beware unless they come out with a new miner of 100GHS @ 1200watt, then you can make a little money per day but just know when buying these miners, you have to be within the first 3 batches to make money for 6 months and then its over.
Not saying buyer beware but buyer be educated!
I get your point but quoting per day statistics 10 months out does not work here. I'm not saying it will be better but telling people it will make $2 per day is baseless. Hardware could be stale and dash price rockets or other way around newer greater stuff will come out and dash sinks and these won't even squeeze out a penny a day. youre not factoring in price rising I said it could go either way, but you can't assume price just automatically goes up like it's a given. Was just stating that figuring out a current miners daily take for 10 months from now is impossible. |

Recently, I have been researching the various types of hashing equations used by the many different altcoins available on the market currently. Throughout my research, I would find mixed feelings amongst the authors of particular articles and from members of different mining communities regarding the apparent contempt for ASICs miners. In general, the criticism of ASICs processors with regard to a given currency would come about after a long period of incompatibility with the the devices. Once ASICs compatibility is achieved, people will often say the currency has been ASIC'd... why is this a bad thing?
I was hoping someone could shed some light as to why the OG members of a given mining community might be turned off by the advent of ASICs compatibility. Is it simply because there will be greater competition amongst miners? Does it have something to do with the fact that the difficulty will be increased at a new, exponential rate due to the computing power of the ASICs?

Because when an asic comes on board it renders gpu's useless. OG miners are used to cpu and gpu mining and when it gets taken away, it's gone forever. And the mining cartels usually get first crack at equipment and things become more centralized which is the opposite of what crypto is based on. |

i don't have time for escrow shenanigans and am happy to take the associated pricing discount to move the equipment. if you want escrow, go buy it on ebay. If you accept escrow I will buy some. You obviously don't realize dam near everyone selling stuff is some sort of scammer. Take a look at the scam pages. Escrow is quick, easy and safe. If not then I think you are better off selling on ebay. sorry, but I don't see how somebody providing escrow on the forums is necessarily more trustworthy. you can see i have 100% positive feedback on ebay over 15 years and 155 transactions. maybe your escrow agent is your brother? maybe your escrow agent can be paid off? Cool so the alternative is to just send every random person here bitcoin everytime they have something for sale. That is defiantly a better alternative. I will give you some free advice when you are on the other side and a member you haven't ever dealt with before wants you to send your bitcoin, refuse as you have probably a 90-95% chance that you btc will be gone. I know you posted your ebay account but that doesn't hold weight here. Not being mean just telling you how it is. Edit: there are very reputable escrow members here that have hundreds of thousands of dollars in transactions under their belt, they aren't running with a couple hindered dollars. I know I'm new on the board here, and probably will get called a scammer, but I'm legit and not looking to gouge. So basically what happened is that I was able to purchase someone's cart on Bitmain, and it has 5 each of the D3s and L3+s in it. I'm not at all interested in the L3+ machines, so I will let them go for $150 over cost plus shipping to you once I receive them.
