Im am sending all of my transactions with a large fee now. Thank you everyone.
I don't think I can close a thread yet
Your above transaction got confirmed as I sent it to the accelerator, as for closing topics then you should see a button says "lock topic" in the bottom left of the page.

Beyond capacity ? I just sent your transaction to ViaBTC accelerator and It got submitted without any problems. I suggest you wait now since the fees are really below the recommended ones, use https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ next time you plan to send anything.

I personally see this as your fault as you was the one who didn't the terms of services but there is probably nothing to be worried about, you just need to wait until they reply, you didn't mention the amount involved here but I doubt It's something huge that they would scam you for.

You may want to post your address or the TXID so we have a better look, you should also take a look https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ to have a better idea on the recommended fees you should use, It's all based on the size of the transaction.

I see no problem buying or selling anytime, as long as you buy low and sell high and of course you should look at the price on Satoshi and not USD otherwise you will find yourself confused and probably losing instead of making any profit, this is also valid as long as you are planning to hold bitcoins for the long term. If you are spending your coins however (buying stuff), you should do it while the price is high and when It's low because you will be spending more In that case.

Anything from this escrow list should be fine to use: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 , It's the only list that compile most of the escrows but there are definitely other trusted members on the community. but unfortunately, the list is not being updated as It used to be.

is it dead? Never received a single update after the crowdsale
Mycelium had enough investors and I doubt they are dead, I don't understand why the GitHub repository didn't get any changes for the last three months though. I know that they are going to integrate multiple cryptocurrencies as well and they did some partnerships, so "being dead" is not an option for them now. If you are an investor, I guess you could contact them and ask them for any progress.

I'm using my PayPal card because my bank does not allow international transactions so I can't use my debit or bank account.
And I would definitely not be comfortable putting my payment methods on a message board site, especially when talking about amounts upwards of a few thousand dollars.
It's all up to you but there are only a few services that accepts PayPal and really have high fees, while trading with people here, you mostly choose the fees and wait until some PM you (someone should as long as the fees are nothing big) and you really don' t need to post anything on the thread, you will only give your email address to whoever you are going to trade with in P.M . You can also use PayPal.me and give the link to people but your name will be visible this time.

I'm really not sure how taxes work but I live in Algeria and If take the exchange fees out of the equation, I pay nothing else. I have to tell you though, in my country, most people don't know what PayPal even is so It's even worst when It comes to bitcoin.

I wouldn't be too optimistic personally, exchanges tend to get hacked usually when the price raise so people better take some precautions now so they don't feel sorry later, any exchange that don't hold funds on cold storage shouldn't be used in the first place.

This means nothing, instead you should probably compare the marketcap. where the gold marketcap is currently $7,422,335,235,457 (yes trillions) and bitcoin is 20$ billion. Gold exists for thousands of years now and It won't simply lose It value because bitcoin came to life. In my opinion, nothing could actually beat gold and silver, no matter how much year passes.

can anyone recommend some freelance bitcoin websites to hire marketers web developers...?
It's better to hire directly from the forums using the services section, websites are usually not well known and have almost no one to do the job, not to mention the fees. Fiverr was one of the best websites for that but they recently stopped accepting bitcoins.

I'm unaware about the limits that Coinbase has and you didn't mention the payment method you are planning to use, I will however recommend trading with people on the currency exchange section as you don't need to provide any personal information's, there are big suppliers and no limits, fees are not that high so as long as you agree to use an escrow and meet their requirements, you should be fine otherwise I would also recommend using LocalBitcoins and meet with someone face to face.

Didn't he have some issues with the Australian government ? I thought he would be in jail by now since we didn't hear anything from him . I doubt reuters actually believe that he is the creator , they probably used this headline just to bring attention to people.

Well, there are options... https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/ and http://bip32.org/ should work, altough you do need the correct derivation paths. If you know some python, you can actually write a script to do everything yourself. An other option would be to use a BIP39/BIP44 compatible wallet and restore it with your written down seed words. This being said, with the price of a nano s, i'd personally just buy a new one, and use the mnemonic to restore my wallets instead of messing around with other tools... If it's BIP39, I assume It should work using Multibit HD and Electrum? those software are both tested by thousands of people, I don't see any risks If they indeed work. I live in a third world country, and I'm only saying the truth when I say that packages could or could not arrive (I mean they arrive to the country but customs steal them) so I don't want to take any risks spending money If I'm not going to get my item. I thought I could do with Electrum too, thanks ! I had my doubts but I just wanted to make sure.

If I ever lose my Ledger Nano S or It simply stop working for one reason or another, is the only way to recover my coins is by buying another one and enter the passphrase again? I want to know If there is some kind of software (open source) where I could just it to recover my coins without the need of buying another Ledger wallet

Assuming that the usernames will be visible, an option to distinguish moderators from normal users would be nice (probably different colors), the ability to mention users using "@" and having the message highlighted to whoever you are sending to could also makes things easier. Adding time is also important as Liqui, Poloniex and other exchanges don't have that feature, It's always good to know when a message was posted, If you think that adding that will make the chatbox just bigger then you could make it a Tooltip on the message Itself.

Exchanges makes profit from taking fees on transactions(deposit/withdrawal) and while exchanging from currency to another. I don't really understand how It's not going to be online though? If you mean something like LocalBitcoins and decentralized too then you won't be able to charge any fees in that case and still pay for the hosting of the website etc...
|
|
|
How is it possible there s an online wallet completely without transaction fees? Who pays fees then?
You shouldn't be fooled by this because It's a way to attract users but we all know the consequences later, you won't have control over your private keys, your account can be frozen and not to mention the issues they are facing with the IRS at the moment. It's definitely something to avoid, I prefer paying some fees rather then losing everything I have.
