8242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are your worse experience as a bitcointalker? on: March 14, 2018, 03:03:34 PM

Thanks for the merits man =)

Yeah, I think I'm actually a DT member now. I have NO idea how that happened. I only turned Jr. Vip, and suddenly the feedback I left for others are now in Trusted Feedback LOL. I thought to become DT, you needed to do multiple trades with people and they would have to leave you positive feedback? But I guess the merit system or something changed all that.

No, you aren't not on Default Trust. Feedbacks left by you shown as trusted only to you. For me, feedbacks that you left shown as unstrusted on profile of that people. Trust and Merit system aren't related in any way, it's two different things. To become DT member you need that someone from DT1 would add you on their trust list.
8243  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Merit Phase 2 - Drain the Swamp (@theymos) on: March 14, 2018, 02:53:47 PM
I was thinking about something similar and I tend to agree with your suggestion.
And I more concerned about Jr. Members than high ranked users. Now many bounties are still accepting Jr. Members, despite that they can't wear clickable signatures. So, they don't even need to get Merit if they want to earn from bounty campaigns by shitposting. Offcourse, they will earn less than high ranked users, but it doesn't really matter. Maybe they will never earn any single Merit, but they don't care much about it as long as they earning money on bitcointalk. Additional to what you said, I think that even basic signatures should be disabled if user haven't earned any Merits.
8244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are your worse experience as a bitcointalker? on: March 14, 2018, 12:36:54 AM

There are a lot of things you must learn about bitcointalk.org before you continue posting.

First off, your intro post was good. It didn't break any of the rules imho. It was a comprehensive post, with a good story, and not a rudimentary blah post that's too common. So that's got that going for it.

I believe you shouldn't take every higher ranked members' word for it. I've been here for like a month now... and I've seen higher ranked members get banned.

People on here buy and sell accounts. So even if someone is Sr member, they could just have the account for the first time.

The only members you should really put a lot of weight on are the ones with positive trust, without any negative trust, and with a lot of merit points. Those are the ones you know won't steer you the wrong way.

Also, you can tell the difference between normal members and Staff because it says "Staff" underneath their names.

I advise you to not look at bitcointalk as just a forum. It's a very strict forum for newbies.

You could possibly get banned if you go into a thread where someone says "I just made 50% profit on btc today" And replied with a simple: "good work man." <-- that is considered spam, unfortunately. On regular forums, typing that message is perfectly acceptable.

I don't see bitcointalk as a forum anymore, but rather a literary board. The standards are higher because there's so much hype around crypto and everyone wants a bitcointalk account.

That said, if you're proficient in English and can articulate your words well, you'll go places on this forum.

Every post you make, think first. It has to be solid and not extraneous.
You're right about most of things. But I can add few things to what you already said.
About trust. There are different users - these with positive trust and these who are on DT (Default Trust). Still, you also can't blindly trust in these users. It's common thing that accounts with positive trust are for sale. While I heard that several DT users also involved in shady things and was removed from DT. And usually, many DT users have quite many negative feedbacks left by their enemies, trolls, scammers and etc.
I think nothing will happen if you will say "good work man" several times. But if you will do it continously, be ready for ban. So, it's better to prevent from posting if you have nothing valuable to say.
I can't that standards are higher here, but it should be if we want productive discussions. Now quality of discussions are so bad, usually there are no discussion, only users are posting after they read thread title and ignore all previous posts in that thread. Actually, we hardly can compare bitcointalk with any other forum online because there we have unique thing - signature campaigns.
8245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I will create free gmail account for you on: March 14, 2018, 12:03:40 AM
Eh, where is the hook here? Because everyone can make Google account(s), why someone should ask you to do it?
Honestly ... How does this person have 100 merit points? Lol.
Because when Merit system was introduced, he already was Full Member and he was awarded with 100 Merits automatically according to his rank.
8246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: im bad at english, that means can i survive??? on: March 13, 2018, 11:57:26 PM
If you so bad at English as you describe, you shouldn't expect that you can earn by writting shitposts in English.
What you can do? Post in local board. Improve your language skills. Still, you can earn money without writting posts in English - you can participate in social media bounty campaigns.
Even if your English is bad, in this forum I'm sure you can use google translate to posts.  I don't think people really care about anyone using google translate here.
You can use Google Translate if don't know some words or phrases. But you aren't allowed to use translation tools to make whole your posts. It can result a ban.
8247  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is the most aggressive country on: March 13, 2018, 11:38:33 PM
Russia is agressive because the media shows that.
But there is some countries which are more agressive and violent. Like USA, France, Israël ...

The numbers speak for themselves. During the last 7 decades, Russia has invaded a single country (Afghanistan), and that too at the request of the elected government. On the other hand, the Americans have invaded more than 70 nations and are still having military bases in some of these nations (including Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Japan).
Why you are taking only last 7 decades? Because you don't to mention countries occupied by Soviets.
And why having of military bases you calling as invasion if there are both sides agreement.
Ok, if we follow your logic that military bases abroad = occupation, it means that Russia occupied Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova, Kyrgyztan and Syria, because they have their military bases here. And we shouldn't forget about annexed part of Georgia and Ukraine.

The last time I checked, Russia was not occupying any of the nations in your list (Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Syria). A membership in the Eurasian Economic Union doesn't mean that they are under Russian occupation. If that was the case, then I could say that the EU member nations are under occupation by Germany.
Oh, double standarts... If NATO have military bases - it's occupation. But if Russia have military base abroad - everything is OK? I'm not saying anything about European Union, EAEU or CIS because it's not related to things which was said. At first, you talked about military bases but now you are changic topic to economical unions.
8248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: March 13, 2018, 11:27:39 PM
It was very interesting match between Roma and Shakhtar. Both teams didn't had many moments to score, but Shakhtar defenders made mistake by giving to much freedom to Dzeko and he scored. After that Shakhtar had serious problems to pass effective pressing of Roma. Well, you can't score a goal when you make 0 shots on target. And there was disagraceful accident in this match - Ferreyra pushed a ball boy over the advertising boards and looks that he was injured. It looks that Ferreyra will get serious penalty after game.
AndI remember many people saying that we may see 5 EPL clubs in UCL quarterfinal, but now it's most likely that we will see only Man City and Liverpool. Can't say that I surprised. Well, it's still better achievement than we saw in recent seasons.
8249  Other / Meta / Re: A personal thank you to the mods on: March 13, 2018, 02:54:52 PM
I've seen so many threads complaining about posts being deleted, that it seems the mods have got a new thread Hoover.
Thank you for cleaning up the boards. The difference is noticeable.
Users complaing not only because that their posts were deleted. Theymosrecently recounted posts and this is why many users now sessmaller number of posts that they made.
I did a recount of post counts earlier today. There are several bugs which cause the post count to drift from its real value over time. The current count is the accurate one.
But I agree with you OP, mods are putting lot of effort into never ending war with spammers. Welsh is right, we should help them by reporting posts to make difference more noticeable.
8250  Other / Meta / Re: HELP! Unable to login and no password reset mail on: March 13, 2018, 01:34:39 PM
Yeah thx, but the signed message could be a problem  Embarrassed

But how is this possible, if the password was not changed ? Why i dont receive the password reset mail?
Maybe someone have access to your email account and he deleted that message . It's also possible that someone enabled email forwarding on your email - message that you receive was redirected to someones mail address and you wont see that messages.
It's also likely that message is on your spam folder.
And maybe you visited bitcointalk.to or another phishing website, instead of bitcointalk.org and this is why you thought that you was auto loged out, but it's not very likely.
8251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are your worse experience as a bitcointalker? on: March 12, 2018, 11:58:16 PM
I know that feeling bro. When I was Newbie on Bitcointalk (but not new in Bitcoin world and had not that bad knowledge) I was afraid to post because I worried that old users will eat my for a breakfast if I will say something wrong. Now it looks strange, but I though that I will say something incorrect that I can get ban. So, then I mainly posted in off-topic board. But when I got some good replies from senior and hero members I realized that Bitcointalk is beginner friendly community. Now I think that attitude towards newbies changed a bit because many of us understand that these people came here to make easy money.
The patience you need as a newbie account member, the 360 seconds wait to post. I think bitcointalk teaches you a lot of patience other than give you knowledge about the crypto world.
Yeah, when I was newbie I didn't liked that 360 seconds limit between posts. But actually, to make good post we need to spend more than 6 minutes Smiley
8252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to prevent airdrop fraud ? on: March 12, 2018, 11:28:29 PM
I don't participate in airdrops, so I can't say much about it. Other users already gave you pretty good advices. I only can add - avoid airdrops which are asking too much personal information. I've heard that some airdrops even asking for ID card scan. It's really not worth to give that sensitive information to get some tokens. After all, it's likely that your personal information can be used for a bad things and you can get in some serious problems.
8253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A moderator deleted my post for no reason on: March 12, 2018, 11:20:51 PM
It seems there was quite a lot of deletions by mod hands recently. A lot of experienced users are missing large numbers of posts as well. I guess campaign managers should manually count your posts in designated campaign time frame, but I am also quite sure that some of them will not bother Smiley
It's not only because mods deleted many posts or trashed lot of topics. Users are missing lot of their posts because theymos recounted it recently.
I did a recount of post counts earlier today. There are several bugs which cause the post count to drift from its real value over time. The current count is the accurate one.
I'm sure that professional campaign managers are always counting number of posts manually because they have to check quality, exclude posts from some boards like off-topic, local and etc. So, it's not a problem. But there are lot if bounties with hundreds of users and terrible managers who only cares about number of posts made, not about quality.
8254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: March 12, 2018, 03:00:11 PM
look at this thread, I am very surprised when almost 80% of users just discuss real madrid and barcelona. this shows that only madrid and barca are discussed in this thread. dam indicates that the reviews are only owned by madrid and barca. and maybe other teams are not so prominent that they are rarely discussed
You're right, most people here are interested only in Barca and Real Madrid and we have discussions mainly about these two teams. I'm fan of Barca, but also I'm watching 4-6 La Liga matches each week and I can say a lot of things about each teams. But I understand that it wont be interesting for other users. And we have to admit, that bottom league table teams aren't very interesting, they don't have stars in their squad, their budgets are small. While in EPL situation are different, teams like West Ham, Crystal Palace can afford to buy well known players.  It'smore interesting to watch when teams like Tottenham, Liverpool playing against Southampton, instead of Valencia or Sevillia vs Alaves.
8255  Other / Meta / Re: THEYMOS , CYRUS = Scammers on: March 12, 2018, 12:03:30 AM
Delete this thread before admins will notice it. Ok, it's clickbait title, but still, do you really believe that they will help you after you called them as scammers? After you made this thread it's likely that you will never get your account back.
After you sent PM's to admins - be patient. Some users are waiting for months for account recovery
8256  Other / Meta / Re: What to do when you see someone copy pasting content ? on: March 11, 2018, 11:52:06 PM
newbies are not happen to do this copy paste thing.
Say what?  Not quite sure what you meant to say, since the grammar here is a little scrambled, but most of the time when I find someone who's copy-pasted material from the internet, it's almost invariably a Newbie to Member-level member who's doing it.  I don't think I've ever seen someone with a higher rank trying to pass off stolen content as their own.  I'm not saying that doesn't happen, because it does, but it's usually the noobs who are trying desperately to rank up their accounts and to get paid from some of the shittier campaigns who are the most common perpetrators of this plagiarism.  And when they get busted, they just create a new account and try again.

It amazes me that these illiterate fools think they're just going to plagiarize stuff and get away with it, that no one will notice.  It also amazes me that people do notice, given how many users there are on bitcointalk and how many posts there are.  I'm happy that some people have very sharp eyes.
But some of these copy-pasters are more smart. They are using software which rephrase copied text. Then it's much more difficult to notice that their text was copied from somewhere.
8257  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 11, 2018, 11:26:05 PM
When is Freebitco.in going to go over to SegWit? Last I checked they still used the old Legacy Bitcoin addresses. A lot of exchanges and wallet providers already went over to SegWit and I see most of the signature campaigns are also asking people to provide SegWit adresses.

If you decide to implement it, what format will you be using? Hope I did not miss any anouncements about this. ^smile^
Yeah, it would be interesting to hear, do they have plans to implement SegWit in near future or no. Maybe SegWit would allow them to reduce or completely remove fee for weekly auto withdrawals.

Segwit probably be implemented on new version or on re-branded freebitcoin domain/site. btw @wetsuit any update on re-branding? if you need a tester to get feedbacks etc, count me in. Cheesy
I don't think that they will need for testers because there will be no new features added. Only domain name will be changed and new currencies will be added on faucet, hi-lo game and lottery, all other things will remain same.
8258  Economy / Services / Re: Need a signature designer on: March 11, 2018, 02:31:45 PM
You also can look for signature designers here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1610428.0
You can see almost all active usees who are making signatures there. Just choose one of these users and send PM.
8259  Economy / Marketplace / Re: my friend have my user and password and my passport scan on: March 11, 2018, 02:15:58 PM
I don't understand, how it can be that your friend have your passwors and passport scan? For gods sake, why did you gave it him? Maybe you also gave him your wallet private keys, access to bank account and etc? If not, you should give it him, because you have to trust in your friend...
Seriously, change your password and enable 2FA. Then you will be sure that your friend wont be able to withdraw your funds. But he can make you some problems with your passport scan if he will involve in fraud operations. But if it's true friend, you should hope that he wont do that.
8260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to get referrals, how do you do it? on: March 11, 2018, 01:08:46 AM
Hello guys,
I'm trying to get referrals for my freebitco.in account, but actually it's much harder than i thought... Even by offering 100% referral share (the maximum allowed by the site) i'm unable to get new ones, my topic on micro-earnings got 150 views but actually maybe only 2 of them signed up on the site with my code.

How do you promote your referral links?
there are other forums to do it? there are specific ones for exchanging referrals link?
Thanks.
If you want to get referrals, you should to put more effort. I'm not talking only about Freebitco.in, but about all faucets in general.
Try to post it on other forums like BitcoinGarden, Forum.Bitcoin.com and many others (just use Google search with phrase "Bitcoin forum" and you will find lot of forums where you can post your ref link).
Use Facebook. There are many groups dedicated to Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and faucet. Maybe it's not very effective method to advertise ref link because your post reach will be little. So, you need to spam a lot to get referrals. Don't use your main account, because if you will spam too much you will be banned.
Use Mellowads faucet and spend that faucet money for your ref link advertising. Maybe some other ad networks have faucets.
Offcourse, you can buy advertisements on ad networks or PTC websites to promote yourvref link, but I think it's not worth.
Start your own website/blog where you can promote ref link. You can use free domain and hosting or platforms like Blogger if you don't want to spend money.
This website is overused now, I mean too much popular, every satoshi hunters know this site already. I am even surprised you managed to get 2 refs from this forum. My advice is to look outside the Bitcoin world. Perhaps to people looking to earn some extra bucks monthly, you can introduce Bitcoin to them and then funnel this to your site... Blogging and networking have always been the best sources for this.
Actually, it's not that hard to get referrals on Freebitco.in, despite factors that you mentioned. I have a blog where I promote faucet ref links and I'm getting at least few referrals on Freebitco.in each day.
This site is overused, but still, there are many new people who are joining Bitcoin world and many of these people are starting their journey on Freebitco.in. Number of registered Freebitco.in are growing faster than ever. And from my experience I can tell that's easier to get referrals on famous Freebitco.in than on some new and unknown faucets.
