8241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to trade altcoins? any recommendations? on: January 21, 2018, 02:54:53 PM
like bittrex? biance?
im a newbie here.....
thanks in advance!
If you're new to trading then it is best to start from bittrex. It has the min of 0.0005 btc for an order (buy/sell) to proceed, which is not much at all and I believe the min deposit sum is just the one covering transaction fee. Bittrex has a lot of coins on real prices and the interface is very easy, so you will feel comfort during your first trading experiments. What's bad about this exchange is perhaps only that max withdrawal is sometimes considered low and that to withdraw the money you have to let the website know who you are.
8242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The investment on: January 20, 2018, 02:39:10 PM
Do not invest in coin you do not understand, or even see many people make a lot of money from it.

I don't think this advice is accurate. One can indeed know nothing of a coin and simply watch the charts to decide whether to invest in one. Long-term investment based on the chart might be risky, but daily trading or short-term investment does not require a lot of knowledge about the coin. Moreover, sometimes people lose the money because they like the project a lot and don't think whether it would actually be a profitable one. Electroneum is a good example of such a project. Mobile gambling is a cool idea and lots of people invested in it during the ico, whereas right afterwards the price went down in a few times which made people (who sold investment anyway) lose their money, since mobile gambling is cool but requires a lot of time to start actually working.

8244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pump & Dump groups on: January 20, 2018, 11:02:00 AM
Do not join pump and dump group most of them are already invested on the coins before announcing that they will pump it.

It is better to trade by your own. Just study the coins chary and you will surely gain profit without anyones help.
I fully agree with that. If one wants to dump others and earn some profit this way, one will be dumped as well. These group aren't interested in you getting profit. I think it's better to follow the natural flows, you know. Coins fluctuate a lot without these groups and with some practice I am sure you can become a good trader. I also think this topic should be moved to Trading or Altcoin discussion, since it has nothing to do with gambling. I guess no pump and dump casino groups are possible anyway  Grin
8245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some ways to reduce stress with Cryptocurrency? on: January 19, 2018, 01:27:57 PM

Thats actually a good question since there is a lot of stress in trading business especially in crypto where prices fluctuate so rapidly.
I don't think the prices change really rapidly. If you gamble on bustabit-like casino, there you can see super-fast price changes. It only goes up and is then suddenly worth zero. Fortunately, the real market doesn't have such things and thus you can always sell the coins on some price, not just lose everything.
As for reducing stress - well, one needs to choose quite stable coins for that. NEO, IOTA, LISK, WAVES, DOGE have some price changes (which is enough for profit) and yet don't jump from one price to another like for other coins.
8246  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to accept payments for BTC casino? on: January 18, 2018, 08:48:56 AM
I'm currently writing a BTC casino but I'm not entirely sure how to accept the payments? I know there's payment gateways but the other dice sites seem to be doing it directly.
As people already mentioned btc lightning, which is supposed to make transactions cheaper (or so I've heard), but it's not an option yet, please consider accepting payments not only in btc but also in other coins which are cheaper, faster and more stable than btc with its crazy price fluctuations of these days. You should choose at least dogecoin for it. A lot of casinos already use it, because it's the most suitable coin for gambling.
As for another way of organizing the payment system, I read that it's better to use a full node rather than API. I am not a specialist in this sphere, so it's better for you to read it yourself and decide what to do: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Why_Your_Business_Should_Use_a_Full_Node_to_Accept_Bitcoin.
8247  Economy / Reputation / Re: Could I be safe from negative trust if I lead ANN of a scam project? on: January 17, 2018, 05:19:49 PM
It sounds as if you are being set up as the patsy. Smiley

Why would you support it if they are ashamed to be associated with it?
Very good point. At first I thought that maybe it was just a mistake and these people forgot to mention the team members in a project, as it's a new one, but now I see that it looks like they don't want to be known for some reasons. It doesn't necessarily mean they are scammers (for instance, the team might be from a country where icos are forbidden by the law), but it's suspicious anyway.
Might be good idea to put in some disclaimer note saying you are not invoved in this project  .... but nobody can say if it saves you from being redtagged.
That's what I tried to do and they told me that no statements of this kind are allowed.
You should be 100% transparent about your role in the project.  For example, if you receive a payment for making the ANN thread, you should be open about it.  You should also be cautious of the project and request to see their business plan as well as what they're doing to accomplish it.  I tend to look for signs like how much money the developers have put into the project out of their own pocket.  If the developers have no product, don't want to be listed as the developers, haven't put any money into the project besides fancy graphics, and you have no knowledge of any other successful projects, then you should probably not get involved.

Mostly though, be transparent.  Whether a project turns out to be a scam or not is largely beyond the control of paid 3rd parties.  If you are 100% transparent about your role, and their is no ill intent, it would be difficult for a reasonable person to blame you.
Thanks a lot for the advice! I am pleased that such an honorable member answered in my thread.
Even though the team offered good payment, I decided not to get involved, because I wasn't allowed to state that I am a hired person and the team is still not showing themselves, though in some other matters the project looks okay imho.

8249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about Korean's news? Will crypto prices rise up again? on: January 16, 2018, 05:51:04 PM
These are difficult time for crypto market!
What do you think about Korean's news? Will crypto prices rise up again? Or this is the beginning of the end?
Is they totally banned crypto currencies.I don't think so they are just regulating the crypto currency exchanges on their country and they may create their own cryto currency soon.
Yes, it is more likely about some regulations just as it was before. And besides, people are signing the petition for the government to stop their actions anyway. I really think we now experience the repeated version of this September. The prices might go down even more but that's the greatest time to invest in coins when we still can. We already saw which coin can do what and so now we can just buy them and low prices and wait for about a month till we earn our profits.
Moreover, in a way it's even good that Korea is making the market drop, because then some other people will buy them low and thus the market will become more independent from Koreans and thus more stable and natural.
8250  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moooncoin Gambling Website? on: January 16, 2018, 05:24:43 PM
The only potentially related thing I found is https://www.casinomoons.com/en, but this casinos forbids me to enter (I guess it has something to do with specific countries), so I can't check whether they accept this coin. Why would you want it anyway? Yes, the coin is cheap, but I think that for gambling purposes doge is still cheap enough. And this coin doesn't have much info on the official website about it. I just says something about monetizing likes, but no whitepaper or roadmap are available. Perhaps this project is not even targeting casinos and thus we'll never see it accepted there.
8251  Economy / Gambling / Re: Game Rock-paper-scissors on Bitcoins.Game on: January 16, 2018, 05:13:13 PM
Yes only by algorithm, one versus against another player. Only 10% from payoff. Thanks!

I don't really understand what you want to say with only 10% from payoff, but even a house edge of 10 % is way too high.
Anyway, the site has a nice design, but the minimum to bet is 0.01 BTC which is quite a lot. Ppersonally, this minimum bet size, is too much.
Yeah, 10% is probably the highest house edge I've ever seen! And 0.01 is absolutely crazy for a minimum, I think it should be something like 10-50 times less than that! And something like new users' welcoming bonus would be appreciated. Or, at least, 'play for fun' mode, so that one could test luck and see how the gaming process goes. Come one, paying $120 for one try on a fully unknown website is definitely not something anyone would do. And is this website provably fair? I don't see anything that would allow to check that.
8252  Economy / Reputation / Could I be safe from negative trust if I lead ANN of a scam project? on: January 16, 2018, 04:57:53 PM
I was asked to create and manage a thread of an upcoming ICO project. It looks legit to me, but the team members are not mentioned on the website (the only suspicious thing about it). I can't be 100% sure if the project is not going to scam people (including me) and I noticed that mainly the promoters of the project (=ones moderating the ann thread) are those who get negative trust in case something goes wrong. However, I would not be related to the project and not be the one who would scam people in case something goes wrong. Can I lead the thread and ensure not getting neg trust in that unpleasant case or it just doesn't work this way and I have to take full responsibility for the team's actions? I would really like to hear answers from trusted forum members who know how these things work on this forum.
Thanks in advance!
8253  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCJACK bitcoin poker freerolls January 2018 0.06BTC $1000 worth on: January 15, 2018, 02:45:10 PM
Logically you wont be able to withdraw $1000 even if you win those 4 freerolls as the 1st winner because the amount is a prizepool which is divided for several winners. If you win some $$ then you will be able to withdraw as the winning amount is yours.
Okay, makes sense that the bonus is not to be withdrawn. However, If one wins, say, $100 and still has $700 from the initial bonus then how will it be decided whether it's his money to be withdrawn? Can different kinds of money be divided into separate categories for that?
I don't believe there's $1k bonus anyway. It's just too crazy and it makes no sense to give so much money (even though it still stays on your website) for people to try playing in the casino. And why is it nitrogen rolls whereas the casino is btcjack? Does nitrogensports even know about it? I don't know where's the set up here but that looks really suspicious to me.
8254  Economy / Gambling / Re: http://btcheat.com scam or not? on: January 15, 2018, 12:30:16 PM
I've been playing this slot for a few months now. The limit to withdraw is 0.03500000 but strangely since I got to 90% the winnings have fallen dramatically. Now that I am at 0.03274757 the winnings do not happen anymore after hundreds and hundreds (thousands!) of play, it is really an extreme coincidence.

I leave you the link of this game scam http://btcheat.com and use this my address 1MPrx7ShguKaNmMYR7oWsbkWkR2WaVz9Qr to believe.
Judge with your own eyes if this or not is pure scam :-( badly that you will have made a few rolls :-)
I don't know if this website is scamming people, for it sort of can happen that by a pure unique coincidence you keep losing. However, there are many threads on this forum where people say that this website is more likely a scam. I wouldn't play on the website which has (from one point of view) the word 'cheat' in the name anyway. Why not to play in trusted casinos? There are tons of them already! At the same time, though, one can read in their own Terms and Conditions that they do not claim to be a gambling website and the purpose is to provide people a chance of having fun, rolling with no deposit and still having a chance to win. Moreover, "The Website does not disclose algorithms used to determine user rewards and can modify them any time", so they don't even say they are letting you win. I guess you can't hold anger against these kind of people, for they are not stealing your money but, perhaps, not letting you get their.
8255  Economy / Economics / Re: IBOs instead of ICOs? on: January 15, 2018, 12:21:11 PM
I didnt realise the concept had a name (IBO) but bounties have been operating as a very useful tool for some considerable time in crypto. Look at the ANN pages here on BCT for ALT currencies. The first questions often discussed are bounties. People are prepared to do tasks and bet on the currency of the coin being offered.
So IBO is just like bounties? Makes sense, since it is a short form of 'initial bounty offering'. Yet I am not sure whether bounties are always about skills. I have seen bounty threads asking one to join one's computer to mining pools.  At the same time, ICOs may ask you to do something instead of paying money to get their coins as a reward. A rather common situation is when ICO campaign asks you to translate their official info into your native language and they pay you in their coins when they are released. That's why I guess this ibo and ico things don't differ that much and there isn't much sense in distinguishing them.
8256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly countries on: January 15, 2018, 11:41:17 AM
Europe, Japan, Canada, Isreal, Korea, US, Singapore are some major countries where bitcoin has legal status. There are many other countries like India, Rusia those are preparing a draft for bitcoin legalization.
Yeah, well, Europe is kind of a lot of countries if you think of it. I wouldn't say all of the countries there are friendly. Switzerland and Uk definitely are, but as of countries like Portugal, Ukraine, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland - btc is neither legal not illegal and is mostly just ignored by the law. One might say is equals to being legal, though, since, for instance, in Ukraine there are literary dozens of exchange websites where you can sell btc/eth/ltc for local currency and vice versa, even though the National bank made once a statement that it doesn't recognize cryptocurrencies as means of payment.
8257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Descending Family Tree of Bitcoin on: January 15, 2018, 11:29:00 AM
MA40, omg, I didn't know there were so many forks invoked. I heard that btc lightning is supposed to make transactions cheaper. Are there any thought on that? Will it truly help? Oh, and will it be an official fork on btc implemented into it, or another coin like bch and btg? According to the scheme it's the latter, right?
I am also wondering why the tree starts on the 1st of August, since on 6 August 2010 there was an issue that lead to btc getting forked for the first time (even though it didn't lead to bifurcation of it).

8258  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 999dice.com scammed me out of 0.048 BTC. HELP ME FIND THE ADMIN PLEASE on: January 14, 2018, 02:19:17 PM
I have used the site for much larger amount of money and never had any problem.
I think that you shouldn't be worried as 999 dice has proved to be legit, they have been here for years.
The situation described by the op is worth to be worried about, but if you say there were no problems before then perhaps it is just some misunderstanding or the op's account was hacked. However, I see quite a lot of scam accusations on various websites related to this casino. Their overall reputation is not a good one. There are about 10 scam accusations of it on this forum as well. Oh, and jakem is a newbie but has neg trust already.
Op, I suggest you to speak with admins of 999dice carefully and kindly ask them to let you log in and withdraw your money. Be patient and polite, for perhaps these people are still not so bad.
8259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which coin do you think is best for gambling? on: January 14, 2018, 10:47:30 AM
I personally prefer dogecoin and ethereum but these days ethereum also have network congestion and fee is really high so dogecoin is best right now.
I agree that eth is not doing very well and bitcoin is probably the worst coin for gambling due to high transaction fees one needs (usually) to pay to withdraw money. Doge has been the best in gambling for a long time. I think that's the only reason this coin is still alive and even manages to experience some pumps from time to time. However, for some gambling websites doge is not appropriate, since there are no smart contracts available.  At the same time, it is worth to use smart contracts, because it ensures scam-free gambling. In such cases it's better to use eth tokens like vsl.
8260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What about DeepOnion? HODL or SOLD on: January 14, 2018, 10:36:38 AM
I believe deep onion price will pump to $10-$20 like what happened to most of the altcoins last year. Once the available circulating supply rise in the market deep onion price will also rise. So for me its better to hodl.
Well, it's already between 10 and 20, you know, and I don't think it will rise a lot in the nearest future. This coin has not much to offer and the reason it stays on the market is that there are people using tor and using the coin as means of payment (do they?). I'm not saying it's bad but imo these kind of coins may rise slowly long-term, so I'm not sure whether it's worth it.
What is soeculation for DeepOnion?
Should I buy more or HODL or SOLD?
What profit did you make with the coin (if any)? If you lost some money then I suggest waiting and if you won at least 2x then sell 80% of it.
