Hey, how long to generate the address 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE? More than a millenium? Shocked
Yes. More time than earth will support life.

That's not entirely true as address generation is random and it is probability based.  In all likelihood it will take forever but there is an ever-so-miniscule chance it could be generated on the first try.  Don't bet the moon on it though.

8262  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 15, 2015, 12:31:05 PM
If they have a functional and competitive chip why not go with pre-orders like every other mining devices selling company, if they get enough money/orders they could make the chips.

Has this been discussed already?

Actually I find it strange that everyone is ignoring the fact that FC didn't place a wafer order before his disappearance. He was supposed to have chips in hand in February so the order was supposed to be placed in December or early January. This never happened, yet nobody is complaining about this. If we ignore all the recent facts the problem is still there. They never intended to have miners with BE300 chip. Not on this financial situation.

Would the decision to produce the BE300 have been lucrative.  Would it have been competitive?  Would AM have been able to produce profitable miners?  If not, there was no point in sinking the sizeable sums of money into the venture.  We already know the fate of the BE200...

I'm actually pretty convinced that they could raise funds this way. AM has never failed to deliver a device once chips were confirmed as functional. Pretty sure they could sell $10 million in hardware preorders for equipment for delivery in June if they had management team and could prove functionality of the chip. Production runs for 28nm grow on trees.

You also believed that they will sell or deploy all the 60Ph/s worth of BE200 chips right?

AM clearly wanted to sell or deploy 60 PH and they tried.  Chip sales did not go well so they produced the AMtube.  The AMTube wasn't efficient enough so they produced the Prisma which consumed twice the number of BE200 chips and ultimately itself through immolation which led to wholesale replacement of the units with the Prisma 2.0 and or refunds. It didn't go as planned so they stopped while there was still sufficient funding to pursue the next generation; presumably the BE300.. (see above, lather, rinse, repeat)

You seem to believe that AM made baseless claims.  They had goals that were quite simply not realized even though the effort was put forth.

...Why don't you 2 set up an exchange commission for bitcoin related investments and set up some basic accounting and reportability criteria for listings?  That would be awesome.

I always assumed the whole point of "investing" in Bitcoin securities is degradation & humiliation?
How would introducing basic accountability maximise the above aforementioned?

It's a start-up industry and as you may or may not know, most fledging companies never make it past year one. There is no degradation or humiliation in trying.  We as "investors" see potential in the industries surrounding bitcoin but don't necessarily have the ability, funds, or wherewithal to create our own start-up so we place our faith in others who seem to know how.  Sometimes we lose, sometimes we win.  The only degradation I see comes from you and your ilk; sitting on the sidelines pretending to have all the answers and taking glee in other's losses.  AM did quite well in the early years and it wasn't "luck" as friedcat has abilities beyond yours and mine but Friedcat is still human and I would imagine when subjected to the stresses involved in running a company would have a similar reaction to the rest of us.  I mean look, even NotLambChop has lost interest in his incessant, condescending posting in here and he really enjoyed it.  Perhaps it also became too much for him to continue?  So it seems that Friedcat and NotLambChop have given up on their vocation to both our joy and to our dismay.  I feel neither degrade nor humiliated and I wish them well.

Airwolf to the rescue!

UNfortunately, like the series, only 8 year olds would lend it credibility, and he is way behind the curve.

Sure you have more credibility, the same you used TO LURE MANY OF US INTO AMHASH...

Recommendations were made based on past performance of the principles and these appeared sound.  AM and friedcat had a relatively long history in bitcoin mining and equipment and it was their credibility which lead to any recommendation of AMHash.   Let's not beat up on one another over this; it is pointless.  Why don't you 2 set up an exchange commission for bitcoin related investments and set up some basic accounting and reportability criteria for listings?  That would be awesome.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't AM still sit on a very respectable amount of BTC?

We haven't seen a financial statement for quite some time so nobody here who is talking knows for sure.

Maybe we should forget asicminer and move on. Time tells us this was a bad investment , as well as rockminer .

You mean...

Waiting for Friedcat to lead us to riches.

Is NotLambChop running a school for the gifted?

This thread is funny, it's like a bad TV movie.  I've lost my keys before, lost my wallet, but I've never lost a person before.

Friedcat is not lost.  It is we who are lost; depending on him, his ideas and all his hard work to make money for us rather than finding our own way.  We need constant reassurances from Friedcat or we fall apart and believe every stupid theory, misinformation and outright lie floated in this forum while waiting for Friedcat to make another appearance to put our fears to rest.  Waiting for Friedcat to lead us to riches.  No it's not the thread that's funny; it's us.

He seems to be paying for a buy back on his cloud mining adventure. I don't think we are going to see much if anything from his group in quite a while.
Source?

Sorry I mistyped it . I  corrected typo .

I am  still a bit hungover from my wife's birthday party.

We're more concerned with where you got your information.

PS Happy birthday wifey!

I tried to warn you guys to get out before its too late, now you're investing in dead air. I almost wish someone would write an article on Asicminer from its start to its peak, to now this miserable mess, its an epic story.

In case you haven't got it through your stupid heads get, get out of asicminer, get out right now.

Thanks for the warning.  It's nice to know there are caring people out there.

^if EB can see order books, there must be order books, or ?

I can see all the order books where there were trades today otherwise, there are none to be seen.
8275  Economy / Securities / Re: HAVELOCK INVESTMENTS - Trading To Resume 6 PM EST March 4th on: March 05, 2015, 12:01:52 AM
Order book comes up but I am not able to trade for some reason. I do see that trades are being executed for others.

I can log in fine and see the Recent Trades for each fund however I cannot see the order book for any fund list.

Yes, just recent trades, no order book available. Tried many times.

try logging out, deleting cookies and log back in?

Just tried that. No go.

Order books were cleared before trading resumed.  No trades = no order books so check the date of the "recent" trades... they may not be all that recent.
8276  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 03, 2015, 05:20:39 PM

Seems odd. If it were being drained, why stop 70 confirmations ago leaving a balance?  Doesn't AM still have to pay for the manufacture of the new chips?  We were expecting that right?

Tomorrow the sun will shine again Smiley

No thanks I'm good.  Just wanted you to know you suck.
8279  Economy / Securities / Re: HAVELOCK INVESTMENTS - Site will be back up Monday March 2nd on: March 02, 2015, 06:07:24 PM
^Sorry, did I miss something?  Is the site back up?  How much of your coin have you gotten back?  You do realize that even if James keeps his word, you won't be able to do anything 'til Wednesday, right?

I'm not waiting for coins, I'm waiting for Friedcat to finalize the newest ASIC chip.  I will transfer coins to Havelock on Wednesday to purchase some AM shares.  I'm sure your FUD will make for some bargains.

Lol, have you missed this, buddy?

update

The 3.546PH AMHash's hashrates have disappeared since 25th Dec 2014. We found this problem two days later,we asked friedcat,he said it was mining farm's maintenance issues, hashrates would come back soon. But one week later, hashrates didn't come back yet. When we asked FC again, we were told that all mining devices were robbed by the partner of the mining farm. And all hashrates were out of control.
After then, FC told us that hashrates from new mining farms will be deployed, but we didn't know the amount at that time.Right now, we still don't receive any update from those new hashrates.

AMHash Team

I didn't miss it.  It's a non-event.  If Freidcat has said he will replace it, then he will.  The man has integrity.
