I think security questions are primarily a bad idea.
As I understand it, hilariousandco is able to unlock these (though don't take my word for it) - so that should be dealt with quite quickly for legitimate cases as he's very efficient normally (for anyone wanting an account unlocked, signing a staked address will probably be enough proof to have your account back in your posession).
I know they will but have you considered the amount of time a member will need to wait to get their account back? It's ridiculously lengthy (from the experience of seeing others case around) I have only seen cases of people needing theymos/Cyrus' help to recover their account. NOT hilariousandco and he seems to go quite quickly as he doesn't have as much of a backlog as theymos does for unlocking accounts. Update: Just took the risk and it did work!!!  I feel good now. I, personally, wouldn't have an issue with collateral at even 105% as long as the value is quite stable. However, my issue here would be that it's soo difficult to liquidate these coins at the moment as you have stated op. Can you try sending them to an ERC20 address from the other address like how I can send between bech32 and legacy in bitcoin?

There are new addresses that get generated, the addresses don't change themselves. They're still there, just for privacy reasons, a new address gets generated after each transaction. I have multiple transactions that go to one address on an app and they are still there. As long as you have your seed backed up then send all to ledger.
You might also want to consolidate these inputs at some point by sending a trandsaction including all the amounts that you have recieved to one address to reduce the fees when you have to send (as you can make that transaction with a low fee as you won't be in a rush while just consolidaing your transactions).
Don't use coinbase if you can help it. It's an exchange it's not so secure.

There's no knowing what theymos will do, but he might appreciate a list of people who would be willing to do it, and if he feels there's a need for it to be moderated then he can articulate his opinions based on that list. He's only recently asked the community to give their input on who should moderate the Politics and Society section so he does listen to the community when he feels it's best too.
Yes, he doesn't normally leave a position of the forum unappointed when there's a need and someone who can fill the slot. Potentially produce some sort of shortlist on a thread fore each section that is without a moderator. The shortlist should be Sr members plus at least (theymos isn't going to trust someone who has only been here a few weeks to run a board of the forum - with a higher ranked account there's more for the user to lose). |

Yes, I know but I searched and found a way, so I can disconnect my youtube channel from my gmail, so it is going to be like a "new" account, and no longer could be recovered.
Still though if you contact support and state that you have been hacked, they can recover it through IP verification. And also, it's still the same sysmte you're logging into. It's not like google separate youtube accounts from the rest of everything (they might make you two google plus accounts from one but that's still meaning you can recover the first one in the same way). And they're not going to stop you from making a google plus account if they get the opportunity as it gives you a chance to slip up and start using other stuff on both accounts also. |

Yeah, YouTube channels are really easy for you to recover. You don't need a lot of info normally either: I recovered an old Google account knowing only my old password (which was changed four months prior). Also, anyone who ended up with that account would have trouble liquidating it or keeping up it's popularity. |

Could both computers be trying to take the 127.0.0.1 IP internally also?
Do you have another IP they have assigned like 10.10.x.x or 192.168.x.x that you could use to link them (just thinking a bit outside the box).

Contact with that person and advice him to lock the topic or to copy the whole content and to give it to you. You can also give him/her the new topic link so that the other guy can replace the old content with the new link on that topic. Hope it make sense. Why wouldn't you just post the old OP again by clicking the [ quote ] button and copying the data. (OP if you tell me thread it is, I'll get that code for you). |
