KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya facing 2 match bans due to their comments on a show ‘Koffee with Karan’

https://www.news18.com/cricketnext/news/coa-chief-recommends-two-odi-ban-for-pandya-rahul-awaits-eduljis-approval-1997767.html

I think kl rahul got in this unnecessary controversy because of hardik pandya.

I have seen the episode and did not really found the KL Rahul ban was justified. Yes when they are representing India they should be more sensible and mature and  do not get so much carried away that they forget the rest of the things. This might just be the caution to the rest of the players when they go to any of the chat show now.

I didn't get the chance to see the episode yet and Hotstar already removed it. damage is done! Much needed Ban for Rahul one way or another, he needed a break anyway. that's another discussion that he deserve this ban or not but for now, they are coming back to India.

Hey Jimmy, if you can tackle the exchange listing issue in your article then it would be great IMHO. like i already mentioned in my above post that they are not very interested in it and am just wondering what's the actual reason behind this step.

The article might take a little longer to write since I have some other stuff I have to do, but I'll be sure to spend some time on this matter as well. However, since, even though I am an 'official ambassador', the team does not share specific information about their plans regarding sensitive stuff like this, I won't be able to answer this question with the assurance it is actually correct. However, I can provide educated guesses, which is what I'll do in the article.

Here it is:

Thanks Jimmy, appreciate that. I found that article via Discord channel. maybe you posted in Discord channel. are you the same guy who go by the name of Jimmy in discord group?

India Pakistan fight here too?  Grin

Anyway, I always learn that Pakistan is an unpredictable team. Who thought that they will win 2017 ICC Champions Trophy Final? But they did? India is much more predictable. They have consistency. But when it comes to Australia then you can not just say that you gonna win.

ODI series will be interesting to see. My bet is for India though.
Oh man, can you remember the first t20 final? How the hell Pakistan did play? I was supporting India and gave up the match. I had forgotten India was playing with Pakistan- the most unpredictable team, lol.

Yeah, I remember that; it was the finals of the inaugural T20 world cup (2007). Good ol' days!
Indeed bro and please  pass the msz to pakistan team that we don't want to see pakistan beating india in any world cup atleast in next 50 year or so. One champion trophy defeat is enough. Smiley

And what about Jugindar Shwarma. I would like credit Dhoni and Jugindar Shwarma much. You know this was a tough decision for Dhoni to push Jugindar there but he made it. I was like what the fuck Dhoni is doing. And when Jugindar Delivered a wide ball, I thought India was going to lose the match. But hey, Jugindae did a good delivery later.
And yeah the misbah also put some contribution, lol.

Did they announce the team for 20-20? I didn't find any details.
I didn't get any update till now. Newzealand all rounder Neesham will be missing because of his injury. I think it's a big loss for Kiwi team. He was in form too.
By the way, I don't think there will be a big change in Srilankan team for t20 than ODI. Almost all of them will be played in t20 too.

Thanks, went through cricbuzz quickly. Softy -Mitchell Santner- making comeback after his knee injury  Huh he's handy all-rounder like Neesham so kiwis shouldn't worry much.

Special mention to team management.
I thought you used to hate them? changing sides now lol  Cool
.

I don't hate them as a person or group but I do despise their spineless act and baseless rigidness when selecting a team. only because of this we lost Test series in SA and Eng.

But here they at least made the necessary changes when needed so more power to them and hope they will select team based only on Merits Only.

Anyway, well done Indian Team. Record is a record.
no one will remember who played.

True! You summed it up all beautifully. after 20-30 years, no one going to remember who played in this test series. except for the result.

Everyone forgot What happened in 2007-08 series and moved on.

I'm sorry to say but I don't agree with this, in 20-30 years from now I still think people will remember that one of the best batsman in the world at the time of this test series in Smith wasn't playing for Australia and that one of the best opening batsman in the world Warner was also not playing. Don't forget that this ball tampering from the three Australian guys will always be remembered due to it was the biggest thing to happen in Australian cricket so I believe everyone will remember that in this test series where India beat Australia on home soil that two of Australia's best batsman were not playing. Like I have been saying if they were playing it would of been a different story and the series would of been a lot closer then it was.

I totally agree with that. This test series between Australia and India was completely tasteless without Warner and Smith. India might succeed again in winning the upcoming ODI series against Australia, but for the Indian team, that should not be something to be *very* proud of.

Indians have a lot to cheer about in context of this series. It was not that tasteless for Indian or every cricket fan around the world for the following reasons.

1. Mayank Agarwal: Debutant faces the likes of Starc and shows in a foreign condition that he can bat no matter who is the opposition and he's here for a long run. time will tell how he transforms his test career. it depends on him.

2. Hanuma Vihari: Numbers don't support him but he has only 4 test under his cap and this guy showed grit and intent when facing English bowler in England and same here in Australia when given chance or throw under the bus (responsibility to open, according to team's requirement).

3. Rishab Pant: He is my fav youngest player in this Indian team along with Prithvi Shaw. I have been following him since under 19 world cup 2016 and let me tell you he's a very destructive player. his average is almost 50 in test despite throwing his wicket with the loose shot but he played only 9 Test match, made 2 centuries in Eng and Aus and missed 2 in India by playing loose shots. so he will learn from here and with more games, his wicketkeeping and batting will improve. no one can deny that his last inning in England and Australia was a good treat for every cricket fan.

Not including Indian Fast Bowlers.

Alright, guys, the Indian fans took it way too serious, so I'm taking my words back; the series was not tasteless. I should've said, "the series would've tasted better if Warner and Smith were playing."

The only thing I'm afraid of is the possible "over-confidence" of Virat Kohli in upcoming matches and series; it can prove to be very bad for the Indian cricket team.

Good luck Indian team (and fans) with all the upcoming matches!

Haha no bhai no seriousness. please don't mind.  Grin

And yes if Smith was playing then it would have been very close series. if one says it's not then he-she don't know about Test Cricket

There is a reason Dhoni still playing in ODI so that he can put a break on Kohli's overconfidence. so Indian team is covered if by any chance something goes wrong with Virat or hypothetically speaking if Virat lose captaincy then Rohit is already in reserve for ODI.

It will be interesting to see the T20 between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. I am hoping Sri Lanka will be a very different team for the T20. They need to forget about the ODIs.
Exactly. That's what I also think and mentioned earlier in my post. Srilanka will put their best effort to win since they have lost the test and ODI series. Also, the current Srilankan team is quite good for t20 format.
Agreed , when it comes to T20 , I guess both the teams are equal in strength . Perera should be pushed up though , if they don't utilize him well then its a waste of a talent . He should be atleast sent 2nd down , he can change matches with his current form.
Perera has done a good job, no doubt, lets see if he continues his form. Better select proper team & combination before the T20 on 11th of January get a consolation victory. It has to admit that the Sri Lankan cricket team passing very crucial time, seems look like a hopeless team this is they never win any matches. Should working at the bowling, batting department.

Did they announce the team for 20-20? I didn't find any details.

Monkey Gate?

Monkey gate was the final nail on the coffin before that bad umpiring special nomination Buckner-Benson. No game spirit whatsoever in this series. not going into many details. it was an ugly series in the end.

I am sorry for the confusion. It came out because of the Indian perspective and in the Indian context. I stand by it.

Yes, you are right no one will forget them. And If by any chance you guys forget this then English and South African will remind you for sure that why did they not play in this series.

I 100% agree that it would of have been a different story. Having said that now it's effortless to say this for us because results are out. That's another debate that they could face Indian pacer line up or not. I am not sure about Warner due to his poor form ( will back my statement with stats), but Smith can surely tackle them.

If you remember our previous discussion. This one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135451.msg47442724#msg47442724 I was against one year ban( 5-6 test ban was enough) If it wasn't for one year ban then they would be playing last 2 test against India if I am not mistaken.

I mentioned earlier about both batting line up struggle and bench strength here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135451.msg47952602#msg47952602

Before this series, we were saying that both batting lineups are struggling badly. Be it India or Australia. But in this tour Indian batters played well and won the series. Special mention to team management. who dropped both their top order batsmen and one promising batsman (Prithvi Shaw) got injured.

It's not an easy task to do in the middle of the tour. Bringing Mayank was the brave call or moving middle order batsman to top order, and Debutant Mayank grabbed this opportunity by both hands. But it shows that India got strong bench strength which Australia Lacks by miles right now. this is the main reason IMHO.

Couple of points I raised in reply to your post previously about the pitch. guess you missed it?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135451.msg49055891#msg49055891

I pulled up some records of David Warner and Smith.

2017 against India

David warner 38,10, 33,17,19,14,56,6

Steve Smith  27, 109, 8,28,178,21,111,17

Smith was in good form but David Warner not really. Brainfade incident was limelight in this series. kohli said in interview with stress that he saw Oz team doing this 2 times by himself and pointed out this with the umpire but no one really believed him.

Ashes series

Steve Smith was on fire and his peak during the Ashes but Warner didn't perform well according to his reputation despite playing in the home.

South Africa Tour

David Warner: 51 , 28, 63, 13, 30, 32

Smith :56, 38, 25, 11, 5,7

As you can see pretty average tour for both but my concern here is David Warner due to his form.

Rest is history!

We'll find it out very soon that who's better among Sri Lanka and Australia in Test Match format. Two test-match series between Australia and Sri Lanka will begin from 24th January 2019:

Ozs don't have the golden time anymore. These days Ozs are old horse. But I think still they are able to give fight against Sri Lanka specially when the are the home team.

I'm very sure that Virat Kohli will never want Australia to win this one; if Sri Lanka somehow manages to beat Australia, it'll really make all this India's celebration look stupid. Grin

Haha true about stupid thingy, not sure about Virat, But will cheer for both teams. Srilanka because it is another sub-continent team and Australia only because of Tim Paine. He's a nice guy, and the nice guy should not come last every time.

Btw my Pakistani friends keep saying the same stuff and they all want to see Aus lose again against Srilanka for the exact same reason.   Roll Eyes

Virat Kohli thinks this victory is bigger than the 2011 World Cup's win:

India vs Australia: Series win tops 2011 World Cup success, says Virat Kohli

https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/india-vs-australia-series-win-tops-2011-world-cup-success-says-virat-kohli-5526394/

I've never seen Virat getting this much excited; one thing we should not forget, Australian side has never been this weak in the past.
Agreed , its more like Sri Lankan team if you ask me . The bowling wasn't that strong , they struggled a lot . I congratulate Indian team for winning but its certainly not bigger than any other series they have won.

Its very rude thing to say lol. we shoudn't downgrade Srilankan team like this.

Agreed but the way Sri Lankan team played cricket against India in Sri Lanka or in India then he's not lying or maybe @absy is Indian too and he saw how helpless was Sri Lanka against India Grin

But after that, they played good cricket.

SriLanka in 2017 -2018 Test cricket

  • Won against Pakistan in their backyard ( UAE)2-0
  • They beat the SA in a home 2-0
  • Won test series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh 1-0
  • Draw against Windies in away tour 1-1

After this, they lost miserably against England in the home series. But again, looked very determined in New Zealand though they lost Test series against NZ. One can't deny that they didn't show grit in a first test match.

8298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 06, 2019, 10:59:04 PM
India would not going to let this happen. They must be bringing the spinners and attack. It will be unfortunate for India if weather helps Aussies to draw although this is the only help Aussies are looking for LOL
Having 10 wickets a day will really be tough. There is a mere chance of happening this since Australia knows they have no chance of winning. They will try to survive the whole day and will be successful, IMO. If Dhoni was the captain, I would expect a win with a 60% possibility.

When we think about it 10 wickets in a day isn't all that much as the pitch might start to play tricks on the Australian batsman and if the mind set of the Australian team is to go out there to try and draw the match it can be their down fall. I actually think Australia need to just go out there and play their natural game and not think too much about saving the test match as the series is already over. India have been the dominate team all series and deserve to be in this position. Like I mentioned in a previous post I think it will be the Indian spinners that can get the win for India today so time will tell.
I am still up only for this test match and it's 04:28 am here Any word on forecast?

Raining.........
