8281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 22, 2021, 09:31:09 PM
I'm so happy playoff basketball is here.  While this season has still been a bit abnormal due to the start time and shortened game schedule, it's nice to be out of the bubble and into what feels like a bit more normal of a playoff situation.  Looking forward to a month of overeating, drinking too much, swearing at various local public televisions and having an all around great time.  It doesn't get too much better than the NBA playoffs.  Don't forget to have fun and surround yourself with some other NBA fans!

A few years back...OG made a custom made silver coin for me. I peeled the coin a few weeks ago and gotta say, this was the first time I had private keys engraved in the coin itself. Pretty cool feature not having to worry about any flood or fire destroying the keys!  Wink

You peeled it!?!  Shocked

Maybe you should run it over with your car a couple of times and toss it into a campfire overnight to test the durability.  Cheesy

I like to say that engraving is better than other methods of storage, but I haven't honestly ever tested it.  It's all just theoretical at this point.

Therefore my pick is Memphis +4.5, GL everyone!

Good luck buddy looks like it's you against everyone else. I don't see some love for Memphis in this game, it's a do-or-die game, but the crowd would love to see the Warriors be in the playoffs rather than the Memphis Grizz, just saying but I'm sitting this game though.
I don't think so, I took the same bet.

Key players are Dillon Brooks and Grayson Allen.
Allen played 5 minutes against the Spurs but there are rumors of giving him more minutes against the Warriors.
He suffered an abdominal injury that's why he is MIA from the Griz previous games.
If he will play longer, they can fortify their outside defense making Curry suffer from outside shots. Let's see.

Valanciunas will be their weakness with switch plays but also a strength for offensive rebounds.

I think it’s gonna come down to experience at the point guard position. Ja Morant might be an incredible athlete, but Stephen Curry is on another level. Even with how many injuries his team is enduring at the moment, I think counting out GS would be a mistake. I’m looking for Steph to put up 40 and take home a W tonight. I’d like to see him in the playoffs. A lot of people didn’t think it could be done after Klay went down.

Thank you as well! I think the effort it takes to create something unique from scratch is often underappreciated. I love the fact that the addresses are engraved. That should allow them to be a safe store of bitcoin for decades to come with no degradation.

Indeed. It is an extra bit of effort that I think is well worth it given the added peace of mind of not having to worry about a paper key getting destroyed and taking your valuable Bitcoin stash along with it.

I’ve never done any testing really to see what the engravings can endure. Maybe a little gimmick video showing them being run over by cars and set on fire would be comical and informative.
8285  Economy / Securities / Re: 📈 NastyFans: The Bitcoin Enthusiast Fan Club (est. 2012) on: May 21, 2021, 04:49:45 PM
Just a reminder that there’s about a week left to grab seats to enter the massive free coin giveaway.

NastyMining is also still buying any amount of seats at a price of 0.0005 BTC each if anyone was looking to grab their BTC and exit the market.

As always, the NastyShop is still taking orders if anyone is looking to dump their BTC into some precious metals.

8286  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the Last BTC developer left standing? on: May 21, 2021, 04:29:30 PM
All the developers moved on to other forums for discussion because Bitcointalk is full of spam and nonsense.

There’s no shortage of internet forum pros drenching this place with irrelevant drama and misinformation while telling everyone else how to act though. You’d think the bitcointalk trust network is more important than Bitcoin project development, which I guess to those that exist in the Bitcoin community only as a poster here, it is.
8287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 21, 2021, 04:03:03 AM
I think it’s safe to say the over was hit on that Washington vs Indiana game. It was clear by midway through the third quarter this game was going to end in a massive blowout. Congrats to those who selected the over (I saw someone in the other NBA thread did). You should get bonus winnings for how high up they ran the score.
8288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 21, 2021, 01:44:13 AM
Time to turn this one off. Great win for the Wizards. Westbrook has played like a man on a mission. Indiana just doesn’t have the athleticism to keep up with him.

Now that the playoff teams are all set, we can move forward to the best 40 days of the year. Lots of basketball and fun every day! Don’t forget to enjoy yourselves! Nachos, beer and playoff basketball are a great combination.
8289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 20, 2021, 10:47:09 PM
Lakers, or any team with Lebron on board is difficult to handle in a series match. Phoenix is doing great this season but I don't see them beating the Lakers in a head-to-head series match. Lakers in 6. Smiley

Well, everyone knew who has the higher chances of winning this series, even the sportsbook knew it.

The underdogs at the top seed and the favourites at the bottom seed lol.

Indeed.  I don't think many people will be betting on the Suns.  I don't think they have much of a chance at all unless Booker has an amazing shooting night and the rebound gods are shining on DeAndre Ayton.  Otherwise, the Lakers are just too big with too many good shooters, and they happen to have the best player in the world.  I think in the end it will come down to the Suns not having enough talent on the bench or enough size in the starting lineup.

I am hoping Westbrook is able to make it to the playoffs this year with a win today.  Not sure if I'll watch or not because, Indiana...  Pulling for Russ though.

This is an nft’s artists collection of photos portraying the sexual excitement from her 17 year old diary.

The premise is actually pretty good.  I could see this becoming something much larger than it is if the right target audience is reached.  I'm not sure how NFTs will fit into this, as that probably depends more on luck and how you sell them then anything else.

While this isn't the sort of thing I'd be interested in, I can see that this is the sort of thing I'm always amazed has such a large following.  Maybe some videos of reading the diary entries or an ONLYFANS account might be a good way to go if you aren't getting the attention from the Bitcoin crowd that you'd expect from red blooded men.
8291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future Bitcoin Dominance on: May 20, 2021, 10:38:53 PM
Dominance rose to around 70% in 2017 if memory serves me correctly.  So far this rally has felt nearly identical, like I've gone back in time.  I expect we'll probably see a recovery in BTC and alts failing to rise as quickly now that people have gotten a taste of what the actual end of this bubble will look like.  Sure, there's way more shitcoins this time and Elon helping some shitcoiners get rich won't help the issue...  That being said, I think we're likely to not reach the 70% mark of the past, but at least break back above 50% and maybe reach 60% before this peak is ready to implode.
8292  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 10oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: May 20, 2021, 10:30:53 PM
These silver plates are starting to get close to selling out.  None of them will be included in the coming free giveaway, so if you wanted one for your collection now is as good a time as any to place an order (due to the rising value of NastyFans seats, a price increase will be coming to these coins next month so grabbing them now will save you some $).

I also don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but these 10oz coins are too big to fit in my engraving machine's holder, so I use a custom holder that requires me to manually place these coins on a flat pad and secure them during the engraving process.  This is not only an extremely manual process, but it's also incredibly difficult given the tiny area that the public keys are engraved onto.  That along with the custom tooling that was required in order to mint these coins, makes these coins difficult for anyone to reproduce.
8293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never go below $50,000 again on: May 20, 2021, 09:43:19 PM
This thread was such a perfect call of the top.  The extreme bullishness and confidence was a clear sign that a massive correction was about to wipe all the leveraged liquidity from the market.  RIP to those who got Zhoutonged and I hope lessons were learned.  There are no shortcuts in investing, at least none with a risk reward ratio that would be compelling to any normal person.

Stop trying to get rich overnight with a few dollars.  It never ends well.  Building wealth takes decades and a great deal of sticking with your plan.  Most people give up before they find success, which is why you need to do something you love.  Only doing something you truly love will save you from capitulating during the worst time and giving up.
8294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fucking rich whoever bought bitcoin around $30,000 -$31,000 on: May 20, 2021, 09:35:42 PM
Yes, if you are one of them, you should be richer now. Bitcoin went up to $40,000 now, when yesterday it was down to $30,000. You have made 30% profit just within 1 day whatever the amount you bought the dip/crash (whatever we called it) several hours ago.

Rich...  I think that's a word only poor people use, because those with wealth don't consider their money to be the source of their riches.  Money is like time, it doesn't really matter until you run out of it, then every little bit becomes extremely important.  Talk to a wealthy person about what they value, it probably won't be their bank account...

My advice, especially to the young people is to learn how to be happy, as that is something that isn't determined by riches, and I think if many people did become wealthy, they would find it isn't the answer to their problems.

Don't idolize those with riches, idolize those who are happy.
8295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I will never buy a Tesla car on: May 20, 2021, 09:12:51 PM
Anyone stupid enough to think there are better and/or less expensive vehicles than a Tesla or thinks other vehicles can do what theirs can, you are vastly uninformed, ignorant, and probably the type of person who is extremely jealous of others...

• Fully loaded Tesla Cybertruck: $80,000
• Fully loaded Rivian R1T: $98,000
• Fully loaded Ford F-150 Lightning: $90,500
• Fully loaded Hummer EV: $112,600

Guess which car is the fastest, has the longest range, is bulletproof, has the largest charging network, can drive itself, is the cheapest and has the best interface?  Ya, not even a comparison.  You'd have to be an absolute moron to think there are cheaper/better vehicles out there.  Not only is that a blatant lie based on jealously and ignorance, no other car can even do what Tesla's Cybertruck can, so in reality there isn't even competition for it.  Nothing compares.  Add in bulletproofing for those other vehicles, additional batteries to match Tesla's range, additional motors to match it's speed, the cost of building out a better charging network, and these cars would easily be 2 or 3 times the price of the Cybertruck...

You guys can buy your vehicles based on your emotions and spread lies about others if you want.  God help you if your car runs into mine though...  Your emotions and fiberglass body might tell a different story about what is "better" when it meets a several thousand pound block of cold rolled steel.

EDIT: When you get into the non-fully loaded options, Tesla shines even more by absolutely destroying the competition on price as well as the other metrics listed.  I was being generous using the fully loaded models...  Imagine what kind of a snowflake pansy you'd have to be to not want a bulletproof truck or think of it as a bad thing.  LOL.  As for the cars, obviously they're so far ahead of what else is available that it isn't even worth making the comparison to other electrics and if you're still buying combustion engine powered vehicles then I've got an old tube television to sell you that you're gonna love.

8297  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NastyMining $10K+ / 100x Coin Bitcoin Collectible Giveaway! on: May 20, 2021, 08:56:16 PM
Around a week to go in order to see if you can get lucky and snag one of the 100 silver coins being given away!  I've never given away $14,000+ worth of stuff before to strangers on the internet (that I'm aware of) so I'm excited about it.  I wish some more members of the community were equally enthusiastic so I could feel good about potentially putting on more massive giveaways like this in the future, but for now I'm happy just to be giving away so much awesome stuff while at the same time helping to bring in more distributions for previous fans and Minted Seat owners.  Grin

8299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gpu Mining card on: May 20, 2021, 08:41:19 PM
So i want to buy a Nvidia rtx 3090, could someone tell me if it matters which type you buy if you also want to mine altcoins with it? Or give some tips?

My only tip is good luck.  There is going to be a whole lot of competition going for these cards.  I'd feel pretty safe in saying that I'd buy as many as I could possibly get my hands on at MSRP and I'm not even a big GPU miner.

You can "want" a GPU, but I'm not sure that's a reason to create a thread.  I'm sure everyone else on this forum wants a GPU as well, but we're all mostly lacking in the ability to get our hands on them.

If anyone does have tips on where these bad boys are available, I'd love to be proven wrong and end up with one myself.

Teslas are dope.  If you want to keep yourself from ever enjoying owning one because Elon decided to troll the crypto community, you're cutting off your nose to spite your face.  You don't have to like the guy, but him being a troll seems like a questionable reason to never own one of his products.  You'd think in this community his trolling would be appreciated, as everyone here seems to love drama.  I guess it's less funny when you're the ones being trolled...
