I was talking that India may send Aussies to bat for 2nd innings and that's exactly what happened. Aussies still need 316 runs to give any lead to India. I am expecting Kohli to bring the spinners ASAP and in that case it's going to be harder for Aussies to score. At the moment Aussies are fighting to save the match.

I think unwanted break helped Kohli in this regard. as result, our all bowling unit got rest too so he decided to bowl again. we already have seen a similar situation in the last test. where Kohli went for bat again in the second inning.

Having 10 wickets a day will really be tough. There is a mere chance of happening this since Australia knows they have no chance of winning. They will try to survive the whole day and will be successful, IMO. If Dhoni was the captain, I would expect a win with a 60% possibility.

There is still a chance of result if the weather doesn't interrupt the game. otherwise, no-brainer its draw.

Why bring Dead horse in this hypothetical situation.Grin. he hates Test match lol

At last New Zeland got Perera, i think it was fix as he took physio help and got indication of now lose the wicket  LOL, as you can see the odd for Sri Lanka win was nearby 100 times and it went to both 1.90 , so who ever played had a lucky chance to get profit if he had cashout in time.
Haha nice analogy, I can not ignore though LOL
Perera has been brilliant. He did not have any option but to hit. I used to gable in live matches and I know the excitement of winning the large odd. I once won an odd which was 1/30. £10 game me £300 LOL but it was in football. After the 90th minute and the market was over/under goal.

You are ruining the ending for me. damn you  Cry
It's not me it's Boult who took the catch  Tongue

Lol yeah i guess Cheesy i was referring to @BTc devil when he pointed out fixing thingy lol

Holy shit he's turning the match scenario. 11 sixes now they need 38 runs in 27 balls hahaha
It's unbelievable innings. I don't mind if Sri Lanka wins or lose but this innings from Perrera is a history breaking.
Sri Lanka require another 26 runs with 1 wicket and 25 balls remaining is not impossible looking if there are no fall of wicket.

What a superb knock from perera, he is really turning the match , if he gets support from Nuwan then i think he can win it. Now all depends on nuwan how he will rotate the bat and give strike to perera. If Sri Lanka won the match then Perera is the only man who won it single handedly.
Nuwan  actually hit the last ball. I am glad it was 3 runs instead of a 4. perera is in strike. Sri Lanka requires another 22 runs with 1 wicket and 23 balls remaining.

Shit!
All gone!

Well done Perera. You could have not done anymore better.

I turned off the Match streaming after 5 wickets but back again and have to say Parera fighting alone. he deserves his maiden century now. I like how the Srilankan team is fighting in this tour be it First test match or One-day series.
He got his century but down to 9 wicket is not going to do any good. Wish there were someone who could support Perrera. Perrera 102 now and Sri Lanka 256/9

Holy shit he's turning the match scenario. 11 sixes now they need 38 runs in 27 balls hahaha
8308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 05, 2019, 08:15:16 AM
Srilanka will not win this match. They are eight down with only 205 on the board. Of course they can't reach 320 target with only two wickets in the hand. Bad day for Srilanka.
Match is out of Sri Lankan hand. Perrera is trying hard but not sure if he will get any support from the other side. If they had wickets in hand then it was achievable. Perrera just scored a six!

SL 217/8
Perrera 70 out of 39

I am now because Aus-Ind match stopped due to bad light as @Vella85 mentioned that too. Finger crossed for a good chase. don't wanna see the one-sided match.
Indeed.

Sri Lanka is not 50/1 after 10 overs. Anything can happen in this match if they make a good partnership. In the last match their top order performed well. By the way, Williamson is one of the smartest captain. So he knows his beef.

Chase looking tough now Gunathilaka Gone.
8311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 05, 2019, 05:51:57 AM
Who is watching Sri Lanka vs New Zealand?
New Zealand again scored 300+ but not like the last match. Today they have 320. Sri Lanka already lost 1 wicket for 31 runs. Dickwella couldn't do much today.

I am now because Aus-Ind match stopped due to bad light as @Vella85 mentioned that too. Finger crossed for a good chase. don't wanna see the one-sided match.

Pujara deserved a double tom but just missed by 7 runs would hurt all . India is nearing 600 and would declare soon and try to get Oz all out quickly and give them followon and try to win this match as well . It will be test of bowlers again to get PZ team 20 wickets .

I wonder what's wrong with the Aussies this time around. Making such a big score is not a easy task against them in the Australian grounds. There was a time when McGrath and other bowlers used to destroy the batting lines of opposition. Time have changed and now Australians are losing  their control over the game.

Australia still have a good bowling attack however the Indian batsman have just outclassed them. Also India have been lucky that the pitches have suited them on this tour, this is why when I saw the schedule of the matches and where they would be played it suited India a lot. I knew the match in Perth would be better suited by Australia even though it was a new ground however the pitch was similar to the other ground due to the conditions in Perth. The other 3 grounds are suited by India which is why I said that this is their best chance to win a test series in Australia and also that Smith and Warner are out of the team. When touring teams travel to Australia normally the first test match is played at The Gabba which Australia have a very good record at and all teams struggle on this ground but this time around it was Adelaide which is a batsman pitch which as we know India have a better batting line up then Australia. All of this has helped India in a big way however I will say that Australia haven't really played all that well either and India deserve the lead in the series and most likely will win the series.

Respectfully disagreed on Pitch statement. Pitch was the same for both teams in every match, it cliche but true here. Oz and all cricket pundits failed to read the pitch including curators. even in 3rd Test Match, everyone were criticizing Indian batting due to slow run rate. Ricky Pointing even says that Pujara's slow inning going to cost India Match.

Would like to add following points too

1. Bad selection when picking top 6
2. Starc forgets how to bowl an old ball. he used to be lethal with the old ball.

Quoting his statement when he earned Man of the Match taking 9 wickets in Durban against South Africa

Quote
He even told Cricket Australia's website, cricket.com.au, that it took a group effort to get the ball in the right condition for reverse swing.

What group effort? Ball tampering? not attacking but just wanna know what Aussie thinks about Starc. Shane Warne is very vocal about him may be due to personal grudes or may be he's hinting something very serious which lead to us Back to Sandpaper gate saga.

Its looks like South Africa heading towards big lead after 4 wickets down. Lead is now 24 and 6 wickets in hand. do you guys think that they can take 200 runs lead from here? or i am underestimating pakistan bowling here? if they managed to do then easily 2-0 up in 3 match series.
Dude you came up pretty close with your assessment so far. We all were expecting fight from pakistani bowlers but on 2nd day SA ends up with 205 runs lead and still 4 wickets to go.

I was eyeing for low scoring match .

Africa leads by 110 right now and it can be easily achievable now. I am expecting a 300 lead by tomorrow which can be a good challenge for team Pakistan since it will be the 4th day. So, there is a big chance of either the result will be drawn or Africa will win. No chance for Pakistan.

Why possibility of a draw in the current state of Pakistan batting lineup? if South Africa can take 300 runs lead then they should go for the direct kill and should win this match by inning.
8314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian - Merry Christmas to all!!! on: January 04, 2019, 12:41:49 PM
I don't believe that I should be killing anyone for working on Saturday. Murder is immoral. Morality does not change over time, murder is always immoral and will always be.

Examples of absolute morality?
Do not commit murder
Do not steal
Do not lie
Do not cheat
Do not cause harm to others

These morals never change. Even a billion years from now, they remain true.

Lol, thanks Captain Obvious. You might not have thought about that but moral is exactly like fogs. Of course when you're in the center it's quite obvious where you are, but when do you decide when you're out of the fog? Where is the border? Where is the limit?

Killing someone without reason is a crime, quite obvious thanks. Now what about killing someone to save two people? What about stealing the rich to feed the poor?

Real life example: You find someone in your house at night while your kids are sleeping. What is considered as ok per your moral code? Hitting him? Shooting him? Well moral here is blurry and always difficult to deal with.
If the guy is armed with a knife and seems looking for trouble, everyone will be ok with you shooting him and it will be considered as self defense. Now what if the guy is drunked and obviously just a student having a heavy party who made a stupid bet? You still have the right to be scared so what is ok?

Of course 98% of the cases are simple. The problem is with the 2% perticular cases. That's the ones difficult where moral isn't all white or black.

Sorry m0gliE, I wasn't referring to your post at all. I was answering af_newbie's question for examples of absolute morality.

Self-defense is not murder, murder is premeditated attempt to take someone's life, absolutely immoral. No gray area.

So the Bible, Quran and Talmud are all wrong.  Thanks for agreeing.  Now, go burn these texts and try to be a better person than the people who wrote these books.

Instead of burning why not cherry-pick every good thing from these texts?
8315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian - Merry Christmas to all!!! on: January 04, 2019, 12:37:35 PM
There is no such thing absolute truth/morality, including the very statement itself. Everything changes according to timeline or circumstances.
8316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 04, 2019, 10:05:15 AM
Yup, everything looks good for India so far.
I am worried about Pakistan. They lost another one now 161/7 LOL

Yasir Shah (5) and Mohammad Amir (9) is betting now. Yasir is trying to hit the ball hard. What could he do. This team is unpredictable.

Update
More 2 wickets gone. Pak 163/9

177 all out within 51.1 overs.

Batting standard is going down in world test cricket these days. not only Pakistan but all teams showing following signs. Maybe due to the rise of the 20-20 format. And i am not surprised if we see another low scoring match. that would be interesting at least every team playing for result instead of draw.

Pakistan has quality bowlers and can restrict South African batsmen as well. having said that Pak team is surely a most unpredictable team in the cricketing world.

I see two reasons for the low-scoring matches these days:

1. due to the increase in T20 international matches (as you mentioned) and the T20 leagues (IPL, PSL, etc)
2. due to difficult pitches to bat on. The bounce/pace these days due to these pitches is awful

SENA's pitches always have been like this so I don't see anything new in this regard. What we are missing is a quality test Batsmen nowadays IMHO. We have very handful batsmen right now who can bat the whole day. to name a few: we need more Pujara, Hashim Amla,  Alastair Cook (Retired now) kind of batsmen in Test cricket.

And there is some financial angle too. Test cricket only earns respect but the shorter format makes you a superstar and Rich. considering the fact that sportsmen career is not very long so player focus more in the shorter format of a game.

But still, I am looking forward to ICC Test championship as a Red Ball cricket lover be it, Kookaburra or Duke.

They are about to lose now. was hoping for an exciting chase after 1st wicket partnership.
They have 4 wickets in hand need 98 runs from 46 six balls. Very hard job. Perera is playing well. As long as he is in the pitch they have a decent chance. If he is down then the match is gone.

Let's see if Perera can hold the nerve or just give away his wicket.

Yes I was excited too after seeing the first wicket partnership.

He's fighting but looking tired to me now. another batsman should try to swing the bat so that he can take some breath.
8319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 03, 2019, 08:40:31 AM
This Dickwella was playing some exclusive shots. The lofted six gone behind the wicket keeper was unbelievable. Suddenly two wicket fall slowed the run rate for Sri Lanka or they were giving good response when chasing 371 runs.

371 is not an easy chase. they way Sri Lanka is playing it looks positive. In cricket anything can happen. Looking forward to an exciting game.

Dada is my favorite as well because he turn all things for Indian cricket now I am hoping he will President of this BCCI in coming years as well and do some good and positive moves because he can do he is one off greatest Indian cricketer and player in my view

Yeah, he's the one who taught us how to win -fight back.

Fourth and final test match between India vs OZ starting tomorrow and OZ would like to win this test match in order to get the series tie. This would be interesting and thus the OZ are making changes in their playing side and might recall Marnus and Peter as Finch could be out of the match

This one is going to be the real test of the Australian team; Australia has never been beaten by India in their home ground for the last 70 years, it'll be quite an achievement for the Indian team, especially the captain Virat Kohli, to break this record (which I think they'll do). OTOH, the 2nd test match of the 3-match test series between Pakistan and South Africa is beginning tomorrow in Cape Town!

Agreed and so far everything looks good for India , they won the toss , batting first and Pujara /Mayank is playing excellent . I guess Indians has 2 options , Draw or Win . Either gives them  the trophy and breaks the 70 year old drought .

Toss again was won by India and rightly decided to bat first and so far it has being a good inning overall as they are 197/3 . Pujara is playing on 73 and Mayank again hit half century and got out at 77. They should be looking to make above 450+ on this track.

India now 258/4 Pujara and Vihari are batting, Vihari have to show his batting so that he can prove that he is also a strong contender for the india team. If india bat till tomorrow 2nd half then it will be good, as from 3rd day the pitch will start to get pace.

Its funny isn't it? how every other player needs to justify his place in the squad and likes of KL Rahul enjoying the place in test squad without any contribution.
