About $50 a month.

I play ~$100 / month for 50/5. Meh.

I pay $60 a month for 25 MBPS download speed. It comes with a cap of 250 GB of data a month.

Ouch, guessing New Zealand or Australia?

SHAW Cable in Canada. The prices here are ridiculous for internet.  There are other internet providers here, but I've found SHAW most reliable.

This is the site, if you want to take a look at the option we have here: http://www.shaw.ca/internet/

I agree that shaw is the fastest internet but Telus tends to offer specials now and then that undercut them
That said between telus and shaw
Shaw is faster but Telus can be as reliable and cheaper
However if we compare it to this place called Olds Alberta it helps me to realize how ripped off we are in mobile internet and phone services

8302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin the reason for world hunger? on: May 26, 2014, 04:38:49 AM
No since World hunger is an issue that predates Bitcoin

Rather Bitcoin may be the solution to world hunger by creating a usable payments system in a country rife in civil war
With difficulties for poor people to store money and use traditional banking as in their accounts are eaten by fees
Simple low cost solutions that can be used on mobile phones to make micro transactions possible is most certainly a solution to world hunger and one of the potential benefits of Bitcoin and its related technologies.
8303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why don't they fix BTC? on: May 26, 2014, 04:26:56 AM
was set to 0.0001

what do most have theirs set to?

It should be set to a tiny bit above that to speed it up
0.0001 Is minimum transaction
If you got to wallet and add an optional transaction fee on top of that your confirmations should be faster than others since it takes priority
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees

Then transactions that pay a fee of at least 0.00001 BTC/kb are added to the block, highest-fee-per-kilobyte transactions first, until the block is not more than 750,000 bytes big.

Transaction priority is calculated as a value-weighted sum of input age, divided by transaction size in bytes:

priority = sum(input_value_in_base_units * input_age)/size_in_bytes

That said you can also do a no fee if you want if the amount meets the condition
It just takes a bit longer
Those million dollar bitcoin transfers pay no fee lol

A transaction may be safely sent without fees if these conditions are met:

It is smaller than 1,000 bytes.
All outputs are 0.01 BTC or larger.
Its priority is large enough (see the Technical Info section below)
8304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why don't they fix BTC? on: May 26, 2014, 04:21:58 AM
Because its not a problem if you send a proper fee to cover the transaction
If not then you need to wait a bit for the miners to confirm the transaction
That said your right some coins have faster blocks therefore faster resolves
8305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to add a fee to a transfer for Bitcoin Core 0.9.1 on: May 26, 2014, 04:18:48 AM
In 0.9.1. to add a fee to your transaction on top of other fees
You should look in Settings then Options and under wallet should be an option to change your min txt fee
As for the sent transaction you need to wait for the blockchain to confirm it
Since its above minimum by a fair bit the transaction should process fairly quickly
If it has a timer aka a bitstamp you need to send an email to them
8306  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much you spend on the internet? on: May 26, 2014, 04:16:09 AM
It really depends on the day but I would admit that it takes a significant amount of my time
In exchange it replaces some other things like TV and exercise (mumble)
8307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fake Elections in Ukraine. on: May 26, 2014, 04:11:43 AM
If I recall the group that won this election originates from a Neo-Nazi group
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svoboda_%28political_party%29
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-hughes/the-neo-nazi-question-in_b_4938747.html

As for the election itself if they lost it would have been condemned as rigged
Since they won they are singing praises so i see a double standard myself.
8308  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your Wish? on: May 26, 2014, 04:03:39 AM
Being immortal is nice.

That could backfire pretty badly though. Imagine being effectively immortal and locked away in a cage somewhere for all eternity.  Tongue

Well in that case I would hope that I was a smart enough immortal to install a self destruct option on my body
Since I am immortal things that would normally kill a person would not apply
So a suicide type of attack might come in handy instead of being captured and tortured for all eternity lol.
8309  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: May 26, 2014, 03:59:01 AM
With only a few days left till the dividend
What is the sentiment of Asicminer remaining competitive in the next generation and how much hash they are going to be able to bring online before difficulty rises to a point where this generation is unprofitable
8310  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will uptrend start? on: May 26, 2014, 03:56:33 AM
Don't be sad, bulls, it wasn't the first time that reality disappointed someone. And, unfortunately, I have a slight suspicion that it won't be the last.

Well reality seems to change quickly its kind of fun how in only two weeks we have went from a pretty bear market
Towards one that is starting to turn into a bullish one
Shows how a little bit of time and a bit more longer attention span can sometimes reverse the tide Smiley
8311  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: May 26, 2014, 03:53:49 AM
Well I'm bringing this back as a Bull indicator since it looks like this is now becoming a smart investment decision
Time tells no lies but that also includes the price at the time of transaction Smiley
8312  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 26, 2014, 03:46:48 AM
Cant understand why the discussion on Friedcats identity.

That is Meaningless. I want divs. Who else with me?  Grin

8313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Families Boycotting Overstock Due to Them Accepting Bitcoin on: May 26, 2014, 02:33:26 AM
Phinn, you're losing it.

That would be a bit weird to be honest if their was a boycott for that reason then again I have seen some weird reasons to boycott a company before
8314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Spring Rally! on: May 26, 2014, 01:22:50 AM
Well since we are saying how high it will go this time
I say between 2 to 3x the previous range low
So Around 1800-2500 this time around  Grin
8315  Economy / Speculation / Re: I give up on: May 25, 2014, 09:31:07 AM
Should have held on Veronica Cheesy We are heading all the way up now

Yep looks like we are now emerging from the bottom so I guess we can say this was the bellwater of the lows
Also meaning that if she waited one more month she would have been fine
Two more and she would have made more
Three and who knows Smiley
8316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much will 1 BTC cost by May 31 2014? on: May 25, 2014, 07:34:00 AM
Considering the volatility and the positive sentiment I will go out a bit and say we approach 600-650 that day
Perhaps even browsing around 700 CAD or 650 USD

8318  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - UPDATED - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 25, 2014, 07:21:53 AM
Important News:

As from May 31st 2014 we will cease with this signature campaign.
The reasons are as follows:
1) It simply isn't viable to continue with these high prices. The ROI is just not there.
2) It doesn't help, when the price of the btc is on the rise.

The Ritz Grand Casino does very well without the need of a signature program. In fact, the return visitors we get are incredible.  So we are here to stay.

Everyone will still be paid up until May 31st. You must remain with the program until payout day, (1st june) to be paid. We will still check on the posts

We would like to thank every one who has participated in our signature campaign.

Good luck to you all and thanks for your support.

Ritz Grand Casino

I was away for a few days but thanks for always paying out promptly and I'll keep watch for the future

All the best
8319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Indian General Elections 2014 on: May 22, 2014, 08:33:55 AM
Raghuram Rajan, the current Governor of Reserve Bank of India is a pro-Congress crook, who is extremely anti-Bitcoin. If Modi succeeds in removing him from the office, it will be a major victory for the Indian Bitcoiners.

That sounds interesting would like to see a pro Bitcoin Governor of the Reserve but I am curious as to who they would vote for if they were interested in changing their monetary policies and who controls that power. Is it appointed by the congress or the president not very aware of Indian politics myself.
8320  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which anime do you like to watch? on: May 22, 2014, 08:27:20 AM
Animeseason.com was down last night, I almost cried. Tongue

I use that site a lot myself although I have been a bit annoyed that vidnest videos kept sending me annoying viruses
The other players work fine though so backup is anilinkz (if i can resist the trollbox)
Anyways I like No Game No Lifes Last Ep Smiley
