I still don't understand why you would want multiple accounts in general See: I don't have a problem with alt accounts as long as they're not used for evading bans. If you're hesitant to say something controversial because you don't want it to be associated with your name, please create an alt account and say it.

In the distance of seconds, someone posted a vote in the community awards, deleted it and posted it again with a different account. Seems like someone is using a secondary account to have a second signature to earn off of and somehow switched up which account to use. That wasn't the brightest thing to do, when posting names of many users who use a notification bot ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) But since it's not plagiarism, it belongs in Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2022 Q1). But the discussion is here now, so I'll respond in this topic. you violated the merit sharing rule with your alternate account. I don't think it's a forum rule. Allow me to quote theymos (he was talking to a Merit source here); If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer. And about the Trust system: The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas. ~ - Leave negative ratings if you actively think that trading with the person is less safe than with a random person. It's certainly not done to Merit your own alt, and shows not the best morals, but I also don't think it's worth ruining an account of an otherwise okay user. All in all it's a tiny amount of Merit anyway: But, after 5-6 days, somehow I saw a discussion about merit abuse and I realized what I have done. I immediately stopped at the same time. If you check the logs, I have sent the last merit four months ago and all of them were in the same week. This sounds plausible. You stopped Meriting your alt the moment you realized it's frowned upon. Even though you had more opportunities, you didn't self-Merit again. Based on this, I don't think this deserves negative feedback. I think neutral would fit better. I'll make a Neutral tag myself.
I'm more surprised by the choice of username: Dic3L0v3r ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
but were afraid to tell the community about it honestly. That's not surprising: Bitcointalk can be quite harsh, especially for Newbies.

I'm going to be honest and say I'm not a fan of football (even though I'm brazillian... yes I know). I even had to google what an "Arsenal" and "Southampton" match was ( ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ). I'll gladly pass the prize to someone who may enjoy this more than I'll do, if possible. This is getting interesting: who's next in line? From [Voting 2021] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆: The main prize cannot be exchanged for Bitcoins, so if the prize is not claimed, it will go to the winner in the Bitcoin Geek nomination, (if the prize is not claimed again, it will go to the winner in the Bitcointalk Ninja nomination). In order so far: 1. Absolute Hero of Goods (theymos): " I decline any prize" 2. Bitcoin Geek (o_e_l_e_o): " unfortunately my well known position regarding privacy and my personal information prevents me from doing so since I would be required to dox myself to be able to accept" 3. Bitcointalk Ninja (TryNinja): " I'll gladly pass the prize to someone who may enjoy this more than I'll do" Who's next in line? This seems undefined, and it looks like this "handing over" doesn't follow the same order in which the categories were listed. It's also not following this order: Sportsbet, BestChange & ChipMixer Listfranky1, hilariousandco, n0nce, TryNinja, Hhampuz, LoyceV, o_e_l_e_o, lovesmayfamilis, Foxpup, Ratimov

Open way to mine Monero on free cpu ;-) It can produce $0.06 per day. I'm not turning electricity into heat for that, even if someone else pays for it. Do you plan to run a full-node (with incoming connections) and maybe electrum server? I've already almost filled it's disk, so that won't work.

Doesn't a dedicated IP dethrones the usage of VPN? VPNs aren't only used for hiding ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) A dedicated IP makes it easier to identify the same person is visiting the same website again. But if you want to gain access to something that isn't available to your own location (for instance to bet365 or Netflix), they'll know you use the same account anyway.

AWS and GCS have the same pricing structure, generally speaking. If you hosted the files on either of those platforms, it would cost approximately US$20 per month. This is not the same as hosting your files on a VPS. Accessing and transferring the files would be much quicker compared to using a VPS. There are several problems with that: first, I can find a much better deal for that price. The Seedbox for instance costs much less for 6 TB bandwidth (and unlimited at 100 Mbit after that). And I don't really mind if someone has to wait a day for a 665 GB download. That's a small inconvenience, and I prefer that over having to buy their own storage bucket and pay for bandwidth before they can download the files. I believe you have previously stated that you don't want to use AWS because you don't want to have to use a credit card to pay, nor associate your IRL identity with the service. My argument would be that this is really your only option, as using a VPS with a smaller provider (as you have been doing) is eventually going to result in your account being shut down, or your bandwidth being exhausted. For this project, I don't really mind if it runs out of bandwidth. That just means some people have to wait until the next month. Torrent was a nice workaround, but more work to update. As I wrote earlier: at most a few people per month have downloaded this data, which means my current limit of 50 TB should be sufficient. To quote my sponsor about hitting the bandwidth limit: Then we can upgrade the server or limitate the download speed Or sell apikeys for downloading 😛 If you use a storage bucket on AWS or GCS, someone will need to pay $0.09/gb to transfer the file to the internet, or $0.01 to transfer your file to another data center run by the same cloud provider located on the same continent where your data is housed (or $0.00/gb -- free - within the same datacenter location). You can configure the storage bucket so that the person downloading the file will need to pay the transfer charges. Up to $60 to download a few files. No wonder Bezos is rich ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The files that Loyce is hosting total over 660 GB. It would not take much for Loyce to run into hitting the multi TB range with files of that size, especially considering that it is trivial for someone to request those files multiple times. It still takes several people crazy enough to download this much data per day to reach 50 TB. My other project currently uses over 2 TB per month, so for now I'm good ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

However, that setup where you need to sign a MultiSig transaction in order to get a refund is sketchy unless explained why, you two are not the first to mention that. I mean, why do you need to co-sign? Is their "refund MultiSig address" co-created with your public key? This doesn't make sense. It sounds like a multisig escrow, where each party holds 1 of 3 keys.
I can't see a way to safely escrow Bob can send a voucher to a third party acting as escrow. Escrow checks it, creates a new voucher, and gives it to Alice. Now this risk is with the escrow: The risk is that the other party redeems the voucher and then claims that it didn't work, or sends you a fake or already redeemed voucher. Unless of course ChipMixer implemented blinded bearer certificates. As far as I understand BBC, that would really be the next large step for privacy. And it would allow them to advertise on this forum again, right?

Hosing your files in a storage bucket We discussed this already. But I just got a very nice Xeon-powered dedicated server (no more VPS!) from an anonymous donation, so I'm covered for now. All major cloud providers offer storage buckets. Many smaller cloud providers do as well. I'm curious: what would it cost to store a TB in a storage bucket?

Thanks for the reply it's a multisig and already has one signature so just requires me to sign and broadcast. Okay, so far so good. I don't have much multisig experience. What are you using to sign? Coinb.in?
I have received a redeem script and transaction to sign on order to get a refund. Let me ask you a question first: what service are you using, and why do you need to sign a transaction to receive a refund? This sounds very shady and might be a scam attempt. Don't sign anything you don't understand completely!

Thank you very much for organizing this icopress. I can in no way express how I feel about what's happening to your country, so I'll just quote theymos on this: In all of the many years I've been admin, I don't think that anything has touched/disturbed me more than knowing that there are many veteran forum members whose countries are currently at war. It's insane that we have several people here who are literally under artillery bombardment and are being forced to defend their homes from soldiers. How is humanity so messed up that an entire bureaucracy and chain of command filled with hundreds of thousands of people are helping to commit this atrocity? And while Ukrainians are the biggest victims of this war, of course, the average Russian person is a victim too: economic cannon fodder in Putin's war. [3] Last number of the hash of these 10 blocks will determine the winners. What happens if the same number comes up twice within the same "basket"? Blocks and baskets archivedIt is noteworthy that some users confidently win their nominations for the second time in a row: hilariousandco, Hhampuz, o_e_l_e_o. I moved from Bitcointalk Ninja to Golden Feather. I highly appreciate the votes, I love this description, and I fits what I try to do very well: | Golden Feather | The award is presented to the participant whose name symbolizes trust and wisdom.
Note: There have always been users on the forum who stand out from the crowd in writing style and objectivity, those whose posts are always pleasant to read, and discussions with them bring satisfaction.

Personal text updated! As much as I love the collectable item designed by Cryptios, I value my privacy more and would prefer it's auctioned off to support the BitcoinTalkShow.

Big updateFirst: the Torrents won't last. I got an anonymous sponsor for a dedicated server. The Seedbox expires on April 6, so the Torrens won't work much longer: The data is back at it's original location: This server is has a 50 TB/month bandwidth limit. So far, at most a few people per month downloaded this (crazy amount of) data, so it should be sufficient. Note: Some files are missing, those are still being updated now. By tomorrow automated daily updates should be on track again.
Update: the new server is online, at the old location: addresses.loyce.club. Because of the much larger disk space, I'll now keep more daily and monthly snapshots. It will take a couple of months to collect them all. Enjoy the bandwidth ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Showing off should have a limit, should have a boundary to feel ashamed. I have a very simple solution for shameless and annoying excessive self-praising: click Ignore ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You don't need half a dozen topics from a single user to pitch you same product in a new packet all the time. We don't need it, but said user does. As much as I appreciate your topic, I don't think it will change.
