8341  Economy / Services / Re: Paying for College Admissions Essay in BTC on: June 18, 2013, 05:22:11 PM
Hello everyone,

I need a college admissions essay written (~600 words) and I am willing to pay BTC for it. I would like to have something that is creative and inspiring, so I am willing to give you a decent amount of time (a couple weeks if necessary). We can discuss more details later, but I will pay at least $40-$50 in BTC for quality work. If you're interested, please let me know through PM or by posting on this thread.

Prompts:
1. Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their
application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
2. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons
did you learn?
3. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you
make the same decision again?
4. Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience
there, and why is it meaningful to you?
5. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from
childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.

Thanks.

I would possibly be willing to work with you on this. Send me a PM with more information and we'll go from there.
8342  Economy / Auctions / Re: CoinGator Complete BTC to PayPal Business | Includes Everthing! on: June 18, 2013, 04:25:40 PM
1. What does paid access to the original developer mean? Do we pay or have you already paid for a certain amount of time?
2. Who pays for the server hosting and how much is it currently costing you?
3. Can we move it to our own dedicated server?
4. How did you estimate the legal costs for the US?

To answer this for him (at least regarding legal fees) it was estimated at $250k for the US.
8343  Economy / Auctions / Re: CoinGator Complete BTC to PayPal Business | Includes Everthing! on: June 18, 2013, 01:46:38 PM
I'm sure there's lots of folks that could use the code/scripts. It would then just be a matter of rebranding under a new name.

I'm also under the impression that the law is likely different for different countries, so while operating the business in the US might be illegal without the proper licensing, operating it elsewhere is probably fine.
8344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Journey from .15 btc to a motorcycle (32 btc) via sports betting OVER 1 BTC NOW! on: June 18, 2013, 01:37:23 PM
Welp - if it helps calm anybody's nerves, I just checked my private betting sheet and he's still on there adding to it and updating - if it's a scam I'm unsure he'd still be going to the time and effort to update the multitude of private sheets he's keeping for us all.

Like I said - please cool off everyone. Give him the opportunity to explain. Innocent until proven guilty, right?

I want to believe! Come on, Xbox! Show us these guys are wrong!
8345  Economy / Services / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: June 18, 2013, 01:23:09 PM
Update! NewbCoin, one of the sites in our rotator (and the only one that WASN'T paying before) is NOW PAYING! On the site you are given a temporary wallet and as soon as you have enough for the payout it's sent, Smiley. So now all sites are officially paying!
8346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YACoin Info And Communication Thread For Newbies YAC the CPU/GPU Mined coin on: June 18, 2013, 11:59:07 AM
Would it be worth using the computing power on your smart phone to mine assuming no specialized hardware at that point?
No, that's just a waste of time.

This. The computing power of phones is pretty low. Computers are only viable because they have real CPU's; phones are very watered down versions of computers.
8347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WIN FREE BTC - LIFT's Bitcoin Lottery 2.0 - we need your feedback on: June 18, 2013, 11:11:43 AM
149 players in today's raffle already and 10hrs to go!

if we crack the 200 players this raffle, a 6th-10th prize will be awarded!!

Awesome! I'm already in, :p.

New suggestion as well: add a button to check your timer. For people not using my auto rotator, this would keep them from having to do captchas multiple times just to see how long is left.
8348  Economy / Services / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: June 18, 2013, 10:51:50 AM
Thanks Jord and Meta. Let me know if you have any issues, Smiley.

Also noticed games have becoming more easy. Have you seen these Facebook apps that people are into? A few of my girlfriends have been into these because they are so easy. I have asked a few what is so good, and they all replied "They are addictive". I haev never took a liking to iphone/facebook apps. They have no challange what so ever. They have too bad graphics, I don't like cartoon games, you know what I'm talking about.

I want my Sega mega drive back, why did I even sell it.

You're obviously too young to have ever played Atari...  Grin

Atarwhat? O.o

As they say, every little helps lol.

I completely agree! If there are any problems, please let me know. Thanks!
8351  Economy / Services / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: June 17, 2013, 08:57:27 PM
How do we go about getting the free faucet coins?  Do newbies quality?

Hey all! This site has been tested on Chrome, IE and FireFox by a multitude of people and should have no problems. With that said, I am an active dev and if anything is brought to my attention I'll jump on it ASAP!

The site is ]CoinFaucets!

What the site does is have you input your BTC address in the top right. After this, hit Next to go to the first faucet. When you're done with it, hit it again to continue. It will keep cycling through the faucets until all are on cooldown, after which it will show a listing of all faucets and how long they have left. As soon as one is off cooldown and you hit Next, you will be taken to it!

This means no more having to keep up with timers yourself, or even remember faucets.

Also, the BTC address in the top right is NOT necessary, however it will save the address for you so that on future visits you can just copy/paste the same address without having to put it in an external document or anything. Also, a few of the faucets will auto-input your address if it's stored on our site, Smiley.

I'm available pretty much all the time as well, so please let me know if there are questions, concerns or suggestions.

Thanks guys!

Anyone/everyone qualifies, :p. They're public faucets that give coins when you use them. I just created a timer/rotator to help make it easier to hit all of them, as well as to keep up with the timers for you so you can maximize earnings.

Check out the site, enter your address in the top-right corner (or just hit next, if you don't want to enter your address -- entering it just stores it for later use) and you'll start going through the faucets!

Free BTC my ass, you have to work hard to earn those Bitcoins...

I wouldn't really call it "work." It's quick and easy to do.

8354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suing PayPal on: June 17, 2013, 07:26:28 PM
That's not gonna happen. Buying and selling virtual currencies is against paypal's TOS. They won't help you with such charge-backs.

This right here. If anything, they may turn the tables on you and charge you for transmitting money without a license.
That would be a double fail and embarrasing to say the least.

You'd be amazed at how many people get themselves in trouble. There was an entire episode of Cops where people were calling the police to complain because they bought drugs and the person didn't deliver and they wanted to get them arrested for theft. Pretty entertaining, lol.
8355  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: bitvisitor scam? on: June 17, 2013, 07:19:04 PM
They are pretty much a scam. They are exposed many months ago.

Uh, what? They have paid me daily. I've yet to run into any problems with them. So what makes you think they are "pretty much a scam?"

8357  Other / Off-topic / Re: Xbox One on: June 17, 2013, 07:01:51 PM
I personally agree. Handheld consoles are not so popular and some where a major flop. I owned a psp original & still own a 3000. I loved the original psp when it first came out. But, I can't say that I use it regular any more. I normally just use it when I'm going away and can't fit the laptop or generally can't connect to the internet.

But, Android and IOS apps have really launched. I don't know why. Personally I can't play one for more than 10 minutes. They bore the **** out of me. I only use apps which help me carry around a portable calculator or business databases. Other than that I only use it for calling and receiving messages.

I think consoles are going the same way as handheld consoles. Not because they are not entertaining, because don't get me wrong I love them. But, because of the price, paying on line and all that other stuff which makes it...not enjoyable for the average user.

Consoles will only be popular among hardcore gamers. People who own their own business and/or work 5-6 days a week just don't get enough time. I rarely play on the console any more and to think paying for a on-line subscription when I'm not going to be using it regular, just doesn't make sense to me when I have a few computers lying around.

Obviously, I'm a big fan of PC, I converted to PC a very long time ago, but not entirely. I still used the consoles regular and loved them. But, the next GEN doesn't appeal to me what so ever.

The fact that handheld is degrading isn't completely correct. It's going from semi-hardcore (or hardcore in some cases) to casual. The games on iPhones and Android phones are usually being played by adults who aren't into gaming. They are becoming time killers rather than an actual constantly practiced activity.

Games as a whole are also moving more towards the casual side. MMORPG's, for example, used to be hardcore. Now they are all (or almost all) catering to casual players as well, working to diminish any type of real competition that would otherwise be present.

Working fine! TBH, you should add a "please disable adblock" like http://antiblock.org/ Smiley

ofc, it's not worth your time to use such micro sites, but for some fun Cheesy

Thanks for the suggestion. While my site is much like the others (in that I have to rely on ad revenue), I don't really want to be "that person" that alienates people based on ad-block vs non. As a result, I will not be implementing anything like that.
8359  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinGator on: June 17, 2013, 04:27:00 PM
Depends what is the exact issue with paypal. But probably fine outside US.

The problem is that PayPal says if you trade BTC for fiat or fiat for BTC, you have to register as a money transmitter (which was estimated at $250k earlier in this thread).

I don't think it was PayPal that says you need to register as a money transmitter...its just the general law...that you need to register as a money transmitter...PayPal doesn't really care one way or the other. I thought the $250k was just for the fees to become a 'transmitter'...? But maybe I read it wrong earlier...?

There was a post on Reddit that came from a PP employee showing that they are told to ban/deactivate accounts that are allowing BTC -> fiat -> BTC trades without a proper transmitter license. I don't know where it is off the top of my head but someone else might.

Those "I got an email from.." posts cannot be verified an attempts to do so are ignored usually so take those with a grain of salt and don't assume they are legit.

Oh, it was a scanned document that was supposedly passed down to employees... could still be faked but never know.
