regarding Monero, they hardforked into several different coins now
it seems that they are trying to keep it as much ASIC resistant as possible
therefore I expect most of the sites revoke their support of this coin-too much of a headache
so much for  totally anonymous gambling...

Have you ever actually tried using Monero before? I like the devs and everything but the software is buggy.

I don't think it's a good addition. The site will have constant issues with their daemon.

The fees are also relatively high for a network that isn't quite full.

If you looked at the other sites which offer XMR as a deposit coin you will notice that the customers always complain about issues with their deposits and withdrawals.

Even I think it was Bitsler which used it before and they decided to remove it.
8342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.7 (Windows/Linux) on: April 27, 2018, 01:45:36 AM
I've got this weird problem with stale shares rate for quite a while. 5-7% of stales to be precise (up to 10% on a 180Mhs 6 GPU rig at a time). At first I thought it might have something to do with GPU firmware, or process priorities, or claymore (been trying different versions, keep installing the latest with no improvement whatsoever). Tried to get rigs work through proxy, but then it became obvious that direct stratum is fastest way anyway. Network issues are out of question - I run gigabit switches to the router, then to the fiber optic router, and get 79ms to the ethermine pool. CPU load on rigs generally around 2-5%, and I use raisers v.006c (quite standard stuff). Here's my screen https://imgur.com/a/Xf8IDeM

Any suggestions?

If you are getting high stakes then it's most likely the location relative to the pool.

What is the average ping when a share is submitted? It needs to be less than 250ms or you will get very high stale rates since ETH has very close block times.

If your ping is low then the other issue can be your computer. If your CPU is overloaded then it might submit the shares too late and hence give you stales

I mean the base58 public key used when mining on fairpool, how to change it as now i have many accounts assigned?
You just use an account number to mine. Instead of -dwal base58KEY you use -dwal ACCOUNT_NUMBER

Yes but initially i didn't had the account and pool told me to use base58 key, and now i have accounts assigned. My question is was it secure to use that base58key and how to change it?

Thanks.

If you are talking about the Public key that you mined too then it's safe. Since it's a public key and not private.

You can mine to this key and you will get a free account every 12.5pasl. If you mine directly to an account number then you won't get this.

Just don't post your private key anywhere.
8344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC MINER FOR ETHEREUM DISCUSSION on: April 27, 2018, 01:39:05 AM
The word on the street is that Bitmain has some fast F3 Ethereum miner that they want to keep private because they don't want the ETH devs to perform a hard fork and make it useless.

So instead they cleverly released an E3 miner which seems no different than most GPU mining rigs.

The ETH devs saw no centralization issue and declined to do any future algo changes.

And then Bitmain raised the price by $1000 and so far nobody has seen it in person. It won't be shipped until June or July.
8345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer A3 - 2 dead hash boards on: April 26, 2018, 10:57:03 PM
What's really funny is how people were complaining that whenever they get any Bitmain gear it's used because it has some dust on it and they are upset. It however works as intended.

However when they send something out brand new they are probably short on staff and don't test each unit and send up sending defective units.

I really think they should at least test the units which are going out overseas. Huge waste of resources to get an Antminer to travel the world twice because they were too busy to test it out.
8346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I shut it down tonight boys. on: April 26, 2018, 10:52:59 PM
The point to a profit - even small - is that it's money you would not have HAD otherwise.

Also, the OP specifically stated "hobby miner".

But you waste a lot of time for it.  Is not better and profitable to click some sites and buttons in the internet? Cheesy

Why would it waste time? A miner is something you configure and leave alone. It mines while you are sleeping ffs.

Doing paid-to-click websites is less profitable because it demands your full attention the whole time. You could have instead spent that time learning a useful skill. Something is seriously off with the way you think. I highly suggest you take time to stop and meditate.

The current market value now is higher than in the future. Every day that you keep it mining for 5 cents it might depreciate another 10 cents

Where did you get your crystal ball?
Even theres no need to check out a crystal ball  Grin We can already presume on mining difficulty and the basic commodity or factors that would really be needed on mining which do increase its price too which would really have a common result which is not really worth of to mine.If you do mine just for hobby then its your choice but you are really totally paying up the expense of electricity or maintenance rather than on making money out of it.

Sorry, but I don't agree with you at all.  Every single month I calculate my net income (if I were to cash out mined coins for USD at that given point) and every month it's double (worst month) or triple what I paid in electricity.  At various points when I feel the time is right, I trade shit coins for btc, but I haven't traded btc for usd in several months.  And even when I did take some profit in USD back in December, it was very little.  You both can say whatever you like, but my numbers look just fine.

I wouldn't get into mining as a hobby personally, but at this point, I would continue to mine as a hobby, if it ever came down to that.  Maintenance doesn't cost money unless your shit is breaking down all of the time and/or you don't know how to properly configure your rigs.  Research doesn't cost you anything other than time, and you'd better be constantly doing that whether you're mining or just buying coins.

Asic resistant proof of work projects are dependent on gpu mining to secure their networks.  You better go check yo-self  Grin Grin Grin

This topic is not really that relative anymore since ETH basically doubled from its low when this topic was created.

If you are making double your electricity then yes it's worth keeping it running. But when ETH was below $400 and people were making 10 cents profit daily after electricity then you might as well turn it off and sell the rigs.

But since this is crypto a lot can change in a short time.
8347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need Power Supply for Bitmain B3 (7 PCIe connectors and 328W)as on: April 26, 2018, 10:49:35 PM
I ordered a Bitmain B3 miner, and I'm trying to find a suitable PSU for it.  Unlike other Bitmain miners, it only requires 328W to run, so I'm looking to get a smaller and cheaper PSU than the APW3++.  However, I need find a PSU that has a least 7 6 pin PCIe connectors.  Is there such a thing on the market?  All of the smaller PSUs I can find don't have enough connectors.

Do they really require all 7 PCIe connections though?

I know that with some of their Antminers you need every connection because it would shift the current and they would start melting but since you are using only 328W then no more then 4 should be necessary.

The Antminer S3 had 2 boards and each had 2 connections but most of us just used 1 PCIe per hash board and it ran fine.

It used around the same amount of Watts as this B3.

It's sad to see that you guys are removing XMR but as an active user of the coin I am not surprised.

Basically even though the dev team is top notch and I respect them what they did to get rid of the ASICs and Botnets and make XMR more decentralized with GPUs the wallet and daemon still require plenty of work.

The GUI is completely unusable and their daemon is annoying to use.

It's very slow and it's expensive moving transactions too.

Hopefully in the future this coin will get readded after the devs address these issues.
8349  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 20 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: April 26, 2018, 10:38:14 PM
By the way, thanks to the PD team for making it possible to disable the MAX bet. This a very useful feature indeed.

Yay! I remember removing the max button by deleting its code through "inspect element" feature of my browser. But thankfully, it was fully implemented now. We all know that the button is very tempting to click and sometimes causes the busting of balances Cheesy

More and more features are being implemented on the new version of Primedice! Grin

In my opinion the max bet button should of never been added in the first place.

I ended up completely emptying an account in the past because of that button.

Why would you need to max bet anyways? Even if you needed to max bet why don't you just set it manually.

How many people actually use that button? It maybe makes sense if you are betting on 99% or so. But anything less than 75% doesn't make sense.

It's against the rules to have more than 1 ANN.

Why did you create this ANN and stop using the prior one? Was it because you were being accused of plagiarisms.

I think you should lock this thread and continue with the first one you created since it has more posts.

You can always edit the main topic title and first post.

Well.... I have good news and bad news for you.

What do you want first? Ok let's do the good news.

The good news is $200 million tether just entered circulation.

Bad news is the MTGox coins are moving again.
8352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PASL]-[PASCAL Lite]-[The Future is Almost Here] on: April 26, 2018, 07:59:21 AM
how is this project better than Pascal having market cap of 2390 BTC where in PascalLite only have 24BTC market cap.

I really want to know...

Currently we are in the middle of a rebrand and recoding.

We will no longer be using the Pascal programming language and we will also switch the mining algo to Cryptonight.

If you want more info about our progress you can go to our Discord channel.

Thats interesting and what is the estimated time for completion of this rebrand and algo switch? and why switch to Cryptonight while Monero and others are migrating from it?

I downloaded the wallet but i am unable to find my wallet address or account number, please guide how to get it as i am planning to get some PascalLite coins  Smiley

At the moment it's very difficult to give you an estimated time of completion.

Currently the new  wallet is in alpha state and you can see the progress/download/compile/run at
Github.com/pasl-project

If you have any developer experience, you can always contribute to our repository.

We will fork to Cryptonight but it will be the anti-ASIC algo just like XMR.

If you want to load some coins in your wallet you will need an account number.

There are a few ways to do so

1) Buy one at the accounts marketplace. They are fairly cheap currently

2) If you are a miner you can get an account sent to you with your pool payout

3) You can buy on Crytopia and just leave it on the exchange

4) You can go to our Discord server and get an account for free sent instantly by our account bot.

Please advise is it secure to continue using private key as now pool have generated me the account numbers, infact many.
I was wondering anybody who can see this private key can access my funds?

Advise me how to change private key and then use account number for further mining.

Thanks.

Which private key are you referring to?

Generally you shouldn't post your private key anywhere.

Are you talking about the mobile wallet? If so that's fine because that wallet is only on your local PC and it's also encrypted for your protection.
8353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Average down and relax... on: April 26, 2018, 07:56:38 AM
Your method is not a bad idea however there are many reasons why it doesn't work for most people.

For one the people that bought at $19k usually used all their available savings or maxed out their credit cards. They want to average down but they can't.

Second of all most of those people who bought at $19k usually sold at $6k because they assumed "it will go to $5k" and we're going to rebuy cheaper. However $5k never came and they most likely chased the market again and bought yesterday at $9800.
8354  Economy / Gambling / Re: new dice website has been released on: April 26, 2018, 07:46:56 AM
hahaha, wonder how Primedice would react to you ripping their site's interface
other than that-it is a cool site, smooth rolls pretty good colour scheme, free faucet
one question: proof of funds? what are the chances to get paid if I win?
provably fair looks nice and dandy, but the verifier is not present, link a third party verifier or a script, please
also,if I were you I would contact Stunna before releasing their ripped off site, doubt he would appreciate it (unless you made some kind of a deal, that is)

It's funny you say this... because I was on that site and thought "this looks very familiar" and yes it does look similiar to design to PD.

It's hard to tell if it was intentional or not. Basically most dice sites all look very similiar.

When I saw the thread and the site domain I assumed it would be some very crappy quality website. But they took their time to design it.

All it needs now is a large bankroll with a verified signature and some bonuses. Maybe a signature campaign later.

However these days, dice sites are just too common and over saturated. Many of these new sites don't survive.
8355  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁3 NEW COINS★★★24th BILLION BETS PROMO★★★🎁 on: April 26, 2018, 07:40:15 AM
will you STOP quoting that scam links bot?
if you do,remove the link, don't help the scammer to promote it
jeez, people, this thread is not self moderated, try to think for a second not just seize the opportunity to post for the sake of posting  /end rant
It seems like the original post of the potential phishing site has been remove by a moderator but due to the quotation several members have done the links are still existing in at least 2 pages of the thread. This kind of posts where the member does not think first makes other members fall victim. The sad thing about this is if members fall victim to the phishing site they will blame it on Bitsler which is wrong thing to do.

Basically it looks like more and more of these YouTube video scams are becoming popular like a few years ago.

The user is shown some video of some "100% win bot" which says it uses some exploit to "cheat" the gambling casino. And in the video you can see how all the rolls eventually lead to a winning session.

You are like "wow I must download this" and after downloading it you need to either give your API or login credential for the bot. As soon as those are given, usually the balance is almost immediately withdrawn.

People fall for this because the comments are usually disabled and nobody can call it a scam.
8356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Amd apu with amd gpu's in a rig on: April 26, 2018, 07:27:43 AM
You do not need a card just for video output. The RX580 can mine and output video with no issues.

It depends what motherboard you have. Some old boards like the ASRock BTC pro, if you got all newer RX series
Cards, the system won't boot without a monitor plugged in or the fake HDMI emulator adaptor.

I even tried to enable or disable the onboard video and the result was the same. Without something plugged in to at least one of the GPUs the system won't even post.

Another way to handle it is if you got an old Pitcairn or Tahiti GPU, you can put that one in the main 16x and it should boot without a Monitor plugged into any of them.
8357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: April 26, 2018, 07:23:25 AM
How can I configure Claymore to restart automatically in case of failure or that the miner stops working?
I await your answers, thanks

use -WD 1
-r 1

All of Claymore miners already have that option enabled by default.

He most likely is looking for a way to solve from a hard- hang and it's not possible without a hardware
USB reset dongle.

Basically if a GPU causes a hard hang, you are better off using "wd 0" and it will let that GPU crash while the others will be still mining. Since with some AMD GPUs and the crappy drivers, after a crash it might hang the entire system during relaunch.

It's not basically "set it and forget it".

If you are making like 5 cents a day per GPU, is it worth it?

Most likely the fan can wear out. How much is a replacement? $20-45?

You can also burn a Molex or SATA cable and start a fire? Fairly common with the amount of power going thru that PEG connector

The current market value now is higher than in the future. Every day that you keep it mining for 5 cents it might depreciate another 10 cents

PSA:

Seems like all new version of Claymore never can reach the reported effective hashrate.  If you guys want more shares.. use v9.8.  All newer version are skimming more shares.  Claymore just getting his share guys..

Don't believe you. He has always been updating this SW to please us users.
Can you proof that the 9.8 version is better than 11.x ?

@rigomortis
Just rolled back one of my rigs to v9.8 with the same dcri suggestions as 11.7 did. Going to try it for 24h to see if you are correct - or full of bs... Time will show

Ollis

Hi can you update us on the fact that rigomortis claims are true or not considering less shares?!

Did run for 30+ hours. And rolled back to 11.7. No significant difference. Just BS...
I'm 14 trying to stack some money for my education. This guy probably 47. And fat. And single. And doesn't wan't to pay decent devfee to a good programmer like Claymore...

Wow 47, that's really old. Do you think he's really THAT old ?
I mean, he probably can't even use a iPhone at that age.

I'm dying here with that response...  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I use the older versions also on some rigs. Basically unless you want to dual mine the new algos or you are getting no tempeatures then you should use the newer versions. But the ETH is identical between versions 9.8 and 11.x or so.

The way that Daggerhash is coded is very difficult to make it any faster. Pretty much even the original Ethminer by the ETH dev core team is more or less the same speed.

However Claymore is more stable and has more monitoring features.
8360  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pornhub Casino now accepting bitcoin and many other cryptocurrency! ph.casino on: April 26, 2018, 04:49:23 AM
This is the first time I hear about porn industries having an integrated casino in their websites. I mean how is it going to be like? Betting on whether that video reaches 1m views? And it it reaches, the winners will take the money? I do not think that sounds right because these sites already have huge money. So, what is the point of making online casinos? What I heard is that pornhub implemented the bitcoin payment system. That means you can pay with bitcoin for premium account.

I am pretty sure they did it for the same reason why Wall Street went into crypto. Basically there are numerous amounts of profits out there to be made with crypto. Basically anything related to "Blockchain" is selling like crazy.

Pornhub already has a huge user base. Their website was out for over a decade and also most of the users are probably males which are more prone to gamble and usually have more disposable income than females.

Hence it's not a bad way to make crazy amounts of revenue. However I am just surprised with what they are doing with Verge. No idea why they chose that coin.
