and by by 49k and below

all numbers are 50k and up 🆙

also all numbers are 2021

22 days are 60k plus

78 days are 50k to 60k

62 days left so we can really dent the 50k to 60k group

8363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting early 2018 top vibes! on: October 30, 2021, 11:58:29 PM
So I guess I am just experiencing 2018 PTSD. Seems like many like me were also cautious when we reached $14K and $20K last year and we all assumed it would be the peak and it obviously wasn’t.

What are you guys expecting what will happen when the Mt Gox coins are released to the owners? Anyone got any idea when that will happen, if ever. I’m assuming that most will sell at least a little maybe not their entire balance. I mean the exchange went down when BTC was like $700 and now it’s almost 100x that. Even if they get 1/3rd of their previous coins it’s still a huge gain.

In 2018 the release of tons of asics at good prices went hand and hand with the price drop.

Now if asics flood the market at better prices I would think it is just like 2018.

it is yet to happen.

first test will be the nov1 to nov 30 L7 delivery dates.

If tons and tons tons  drop and diff jumps 65-85% I would be worried

since monday is Nov 1 this will happen soon.

It will be a good indicator one way or the other.
8364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Opportunity on: October 30, 2021, 11:41:05 PM
No problem.
I want to say that many people are trying to calculate profit from ASICs that are not yet for sale.
Perhaps if you receive this ASIC one of the first, then the first month the profit will be the same as in the calculator.
But then, as ASICs are sent to many buyers and start mining, the profit will quickly fall.

the L7 should let us know what is in store for asics the next five-seven months

ie if it comes on time and the diff jumps 30%  cool

but if it comes a month late and diff jumps 65%  not cool

we have no idea how many they will release but in 2018 gear flooded the market and prices tanked liked a mofo.

if gear is restricted and diff does not go crazy then i think we are in good shape.

...
To be fair TTBit ripped off several peoples stick miners.
...
I wouldn't call it fair Smiley

yeah dave it is like saying to be fair gov coumo grabbed your wife’s tits and my wife’s tits.

to all else this is a new york state reference.

kano is right  TtBit was an asshole and whether he did it to everyone or just sidehack he was an a hole none the less.

its why the internet sucks as i do not think dave was defending a p o s like TTBit.
it likely  was    meant to be the pos ripped off every one.
8366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 30, 2021, 03:37:26 PM
BTC at 1 mill is coming but very likely it will be a while.

I think there is a lot of interest from big players that will effort to pack the price lower.

So 100k+ is about 50-50 this cycle
and 300k+ is doubtful in 2021 or 2022 under 10% shot.

A lot depends on gear being sold to mine. I figure asic builders could attempt to flood the market with gear in 2022.  This was done in 2018.

Price went down and diff went up from jan till oct 2018 .  then the market finally reflected over-saturation of gear. the diff and price both slid form oct 2018 to dec 2018.  I started my 4 partner mine in dec 2018.

I have to think asic gear builders want to do this sell of gear bigly sooner or later. as they may feel 1 or 2  1/2ings  will spell the end of large mining.  Savetherainforest may think 2 cycles are left to heavy BTC mining.

As for me I am not a kid I am 64 and will not continue mining past 70 mostly due to my age as it is work to do it.

With all my kids dead and just me and the wife I would not mind enjoying travel and zero work from 70 on.  We will see what unfolds .

For now stack your sats.

and remember when I do cash coin it is for running the business.

We have a lot of expansion coming maybe 100k watts to { 300kwatts } to 900 kwatts

we grew from 100 to 300 kwatts in 2021
8367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting early 2018 top vibes! on: October 30, 2021, 11:46:29 AM
I see someone loosing their nerve.

This is a good time right now  look for BTC dips and be ready for them.

I remember end of 2017, early 2018 quite well for this reason. Long-term Bitcoiners (supposedly)... people who'd been in it for years, far longer than me the newcomer, telling me they've lost hope. They saw $20k as the impossible price that was nice to get, and yet ultimately signalled the end. Regulations, the rise of alts, a lack of interest or willingness from institutions or doubletracking from them.

It surprised me then, and it surprises me now that people would lose faith after Bitcoin's proven itself time and again.

Enjoying every satoshi I can get before the real peak comes.

exactly right.  Stack the sats and have no fears.

note the part in code

it shows a fan issue

if you have a working s9 with two good fans swap them.

if that fixes issue it was a bad fan.

please let us know.

there are other possible errors.

Yeah warranty service can be hard if you take the card out of its zone.

Been a while since I had that happen but a card or teo purchased on usa ebay back in early mining days not north american zone and warranty were not honored.

be careful.

The original post says 3000W to 3600W

A max 15A Y PSU cable on 3600W will be 240V
i.e. max spec ... you better hope cheap 14AWG, 15A, $7 cables are not cheap cables ...

the ones i linked to mono price work well.

and the part that plugs into the c19 cable is 12 ga it splits into two 14 ga that are c13 ended the two psu each draw 1800 watts max.

we have run 17 s17 on turbo along with a few s17+ and a few s19

no melted wires. we have three 200 amp panels and 24 circuits.  yeah in theory the 200 amp breakers would over load but we do not do over 20 amps on any circuit.

so 8 x 20 = 160 amps on a 200 amp panel..

this room can overheat in the summer so we tend to down clock in the summer and run the s17s on low

then jump to turbo in the winter.

but if you use the y splitter make sure they are from monoprice as they work up to 3600 watts 24/7

now for some reason you have 14/2 romex that is not good for a 30 amp circuit

RTX A2000 card,

These are very easy, no messing with power limits, volts, etc.

12 X these = 480MH = 840W

(I have only one but maybe with those monster cases)

Just put memory as high it goes and enjoy, 70W is the limit anyway :-)

Yeah they seem to be in Europe.

I would love to get 10-20 of them here in the usa.

I have a ton (4) of miner dude cases with 12x A4000

work well.

but I want some with 12 a2000.

I am now pushing 7gh for eth

RTX A2000 card,

These are very easy, no messing with power limits, volts, etc.

12 X these = 480MH = 840W

(I have only one but maybe with those monster cases)

Just put memory as high it goes and enjoy, 70W is the limit anyway :-)

Yeah they seem to be in Europe.

I would love to get 10-20 of them here in the usa.

I have a ton (4) of miner dude cases with 12x A4000

work well.

but I want some with 12 a2000.

I am now pushing 7gh for eth

This means, there is a huge possibility that the majority of miners did shut down after the initial ban, and them A LOT of them managed to come back online in Aug-Sep, I believe there is at least 20-25EH still grinding in China.

20-25EH seems high to me. I'm sure there are some operations still going, paying off whoever needed, but it's got to be difficult to keep a reasonably sized mine open when the government is shutting down power to manufacturing industries. If the average is 50W/th, that's around 500MW.

I guess there could be 5000 100KW mines that could slip under the radar though.

Yeah they have ices for dessert so if a large commercial warehouse with a few dozen freezers dedicates 3-5 freezers to mining it is a lot of diverted power.

lots of these are at the ware house I mine in as the ice cream company  went broke.

they do about 3600 watts. So I am thinking any one with a lot of them online could shut down a few and mine.  But likely they would chose other algos.

this is good

psu
to y cable

to cable

to receptacle

using this wire

to breaker

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Square-D-Homeline-30-Amp-2-Pole-Circuit-Breaker-HOM230CP/202353325

now your breaker needs to match your box.

i showed square d you could be some other box.

so box >>> breaker >>> 10 ga wire >>> receptacle >>>> cable >>>> y cable >>> psu

if you do this you should never overload

the breaker
the internal wire
the receptacle
the 12 ga cable
the y cable

as for 220 vs 240

do this 210 x 30 x .80 = 5040 watts well within specs of the wires

and do this 240 x 30 x .80 =5760 watts way higher then you need

you are better off loading a big breaker box with 30 amps circuits as I describe.

but in a pinch 20 amps mostly always do the trick

205 x 20 x .80 = 3280 watts which could trip.

205 volts is about as low as most anyone will drift down to.

you often hear people say they use 20 amp breakers and no issues.

All of the above needs to be checked with your codes and your laws.

240 volt power can kill and harm easy peasy

I see onwards and upwards for months and months to come. Circa 2023 before a steep drop. Those that are giant of heart will fare well and the faint hearted will look back at this post and think why didn't I listen to phil.
