@vella85 Yeah, a couple of wins can do magic sometimes. I think this is the time batsmen should step up and put some run on the scoreboard especially the senior players like Finch/Maxwell should anchor the inning in top/middle order respectively and give bowlers some chance to fight back. I would like to see Shaun Marsh in playing XI for the next game.

Ranji Trophy, probably the largest first class competition in the world (with 37 teams!!!!) started yesterday with 9 new teams (the six northeastern states plus Bihar, Puducherry and Uttarakhand). The new teams arre performing poorly, with the outstation players taking most wickets and scoring most of the runs.

I think the ban on Smith and Warner needs to stand because if they back flip on their decision now it won't look good on Cricket Australia so it needs to stay in place no matter how the team is performing without them. I just think the ones that want it lifted are worried about crowd numbers as like I said with the current form the Australian team is in, no one would want to pay money to watch them even though they are playing a top team in India. I'll be interested to see the crowd numbers this summer compared to previous Australian summers when India have toured Australia. I will also say this and that is this is India's big chance to win their first test match series in Australia as they have never won a series in Australia.

There is a lot of rumbling in the Australian media that the cricket association want to lift the bans on Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft but the board is sticking to their decision at the present time. To be honest this could be one of the worst Australian summers in many years even though India is touring Australia but with Smith and Warner out and they way the team is playing right now it doesn't look good. I'm not sure they will attract the crowds like they normally do and that is why I think the cricket association is trying to get these bans lifted. Time will tell if this happens or not but right now the bans will stand.
If for this reasons and all if the bans are lifted then tomorrow all other country will also lift the ban imposed to their players giving any reasons. They were banned for illegal doing which is correct and what board is doing is also good. If Australia cannot win without them then it is shame on Australia cricket that they dont have more potential players apart from their banned players. Updated until last Friday's Merit data dump. why not a permanent ban for those users who involved in the trading account or merits. Like trust, merit isn't moderated: While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with. Theymos also said not to worry too much about small merit abuse, in the end it doesn't matter much. With due respect, is there any specific reason/ thought process to avoid such kind of abuse? If it's because of lack of time, then I can understand that. Abuse is Abuse no matter big or small, and there should be similar consequences for the same kind of act if proven or caught. Or we are waiting for a small abuser to get big? They will run out of sMerit to abuse so the problem will sort itself out and there is not much point wasting too much time and effort on it.
