841  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Mining Cloud Mining To Choose, Which Is Profitable In Long Term on: December 22, 2016, 07:51:35 PM
IMHO, I would advice you to stay away from cloud mining because it will never put you into profit, and sites with high numbers will always end up scamming and running away with your money. If you want to start bitcoin mining yourself, then go for an S9 which is the latest upgraded miner available on the markets currently if you want to be in profit.
842  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: [WTS] iphone 7 plus on: December 22, 2016, 07:46:38 PM
Not being racist, but I just want to say that I am a Muslim and many muslim guys are my friends and as you know, iPhone is our first choice. Wink
They all have an iPhone and they are very rich and always looking for best deals, so I just wanted to know that how much are you interested in selling this for? Being business-minded, I would like to ask you that can I expect some commission too if I get this sold early to one of my friends?
PM me if you don't find it suitable to post your offer public.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Is The Better Tagline? on: December 22, 2016, 07:40:38 PM
I think that if you want to let others join the revolution, the line should be like this - Go cashless and use BTCitcoins - the new money.
I hope this will include everything you need as a tagline for your proposal.
844  Local / India / Re: I am feeling very sorry for Demonetization in India on: December 22, 2016, 07:36:13 PM
It's neither good nor bad at all. If we see what's good in there, then we can say that too much black money got spit out by many owners who were "unluckily unable" to convert their old notes to new just because the amounts were too big. If we would talk about what's bad, then you must have seen in news that many bank employees, including even some RBI people, were into converting old black money notes to newer ones due to which new notes are not reaching to a common man's hands. In many cities, we are still waiting for Rs.500 new notes.
845  Local / India / Re: How Long Should We Tolerate It? on: December 22, 2016, 07:31:08 PM
I am also not saying that there are no good members.A lot of nice people are here on forum but I am referring to those racists who  doesn't let any opportunity to let by to spread hatred

Racists are there to spread hatred, but with that said, we do have the power too to report such comments related to racism or are anywhere related to flaming, or like adding fuel to the fire by saying anything, threatening, etc. So, don't worry because as erikalui said, there are not just Indians who are targeted here, and people spit out hell lots of bullshit when they get such chance to.
846  Local / India / Re: The Best Bitcoin Exchange in India on: December 22, 2016, 07:25:08 PM
I have been using Zebpay all the time and I can say that I get the best rates there.
I have become a fan of them since I have verified myself there.
The only thing I noticed there today was, when I converted my bitcoins to cash, they got auto-withdrawn into my bank.
So, I just wanted to alarm those with big amounts to think twice before selling as I think Zebpay might have changed their rules.
847  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1x฿it.com - Most Competitive Sports฿ook & Casino | ฿est Odds & Wagering Options on: December 22, 2016, 07:19:37 PM
I made another withdrawal tonight. Everything is ok with no problems. But I would like to make one suggestion. Please let the us have a confirmation box before the bets officially take place to make sure we have everything right.

That withdrawal history panel is also really needed. Please adhere to this.

Nice to know that 1XBit is processing withdrawals as normal, some people keep complaining about it but I really can't see any legitimate reason for it. I mean just contact support and you should be right in max a day or two.

Also yeah, the withdrawal history is really needed and so is the bet confirmation. Otherwise people might complain about accidentally clicking something and request a refund Undecided

Yes. I hope 1XBit.com is really listening to us. Those two features for the site is really needed. It should have been included when the site was being made because they are necessary to make things verifiable without any hassle on their users.

Let's just calm down and wait for them to show up and answer to the questions, community has in its mind.
They have been doing their best all the time, but I think they might have been busy a bit more as Xmas is near, so it would be good to just hold.
848  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-12-16] Moneycontrol: Afraid to invest in BTC? Unocoin's SIP might help on: December 22, 2016, 07:15:33 PM
AT the moment Unocoin are the only ones who offers a SIP in bitcoin for India. This is actually a good way for new people who can deposit some money on monthly basis and buy bitcoin just like mutual funds. Great way actually to tap the market from new comers .

Rightly put, with Systematic investment plans for Bitcoins people would eventually relate it more to mutual funds and attribute the mutual funds "low risk" policy which might gain traction for Bitcoin SIP investments in India. In a country were people prefer low risks and higher returns, it's a good way to start. Unocoin is doing really great and I appreciate their efforts for contributing to the Indian Bitcoin community. I'm also eager to know more about their partnership with Bitwages, and how they'd get employers to make payments to their employees using Bitcoins.

Nobody should dream that bitcoins are low-risk just because you buy them through an SIP. Mutual funds lower the risk associated with equity because of diversification and professional stock picking. An SIP is just a way to average your cost of purchase of an asset.

Does that mean that bitcoins should not be seen as mutual funds and by offering SIP, Unocoin is going to make the end-users suffer in the future?
Putting a note on this, I agree that this is a step which sounds to be a "too good to be true" kind of a schema and this might put investors into trouble who would invest into SIPs thinking that they will surely get their returns, as bitcoins are risky markets and we have even seen the worst days before.
Still, hoping for the best with what they have offered.
849  Local / India / Re: Is it fine to sell bitcoins and take payments at Savings Bank account? on: December 22, 2016, 07:09:48 PM
It's fine as far as you have records. I mean it would be good if you sell through exchanges as they will keep everything in their database so that you can have proof that you sold a "commodity" to get payment against it. And if any scam ever arises, which I don't think will happen unless you go for a deal outside exchange (not guaranteeing you that you won't find scammers on exchanges either), you will have proof that you had it and you will need to show the source for everything to get sorted out.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Have Stolen Millions Of Dollars In Bitcoin -- Using Only Phone Numbers on: December 22, 2016, 07:04:36 PM
The hackers are able to access PC's starting with the phone hacking.
Nope. Sounds to me like a case of someone who thinks they understand security, but actually don't. The article is unnecessarily long and pretty much useless (doesn't outline ways of protecting yourself well, but rather tells us a story). Here are some semi-easy ways for prevention:

1) Do not use your personal phone number for 2FA. Use SIM cards without contracts.
2) Do not use social networks (they aren't for the brightest anyways).
3) Delete anything you can find online about yourself -> effectively kills social engineering attempts.
4) Disable Javascript, Flash and everything else by default.
5) Do not use any web wallets or online services to keep Bitcoin. If you need to keep them on an online device (for whatever reason), at least make sure that you're talking about a local desktop client.

Alternative:
A) Use a different computer solely for Bitcoin, banking et al. (Note: This does not save you from targeted network intrusion, rootkits and similar).

Quoted you to discuss your first and fifth points.
I just wanted to know that if I use my personal phone number (specifically non-contract sim cards), isn't it still on the edge of getting hacked?
And when you said that we should keep our coins in a local desktop client, say if I am using any web wallets like blockchain, so is it not good to have all my coins be kept there?
851  Local / Mining (India) / Re: S9 Required to purchase on: December 22, 2016, 06:58:54 PM
I know a person who is selling S9 for INR 1,30,000 and some taxes extra, if you want, I can talk to him regarding this.
I also know about a pool where you will be able to host it for $84 as I am in a group of Bitcoin-India and the person whom I am speaking about is also a genuine user of that group.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of Banning Bitcoin ? on: December 22, 2016, 06:52:43 PM
The only reason that makes it seem possible for the ban of bitcoins is, its use for terrorism and money-laundering. All we need is to stop the false people getting into this, else governments have a very strong reason to stop this as there are no records TBH which can prove whether the funds were transacted for a proper reason or for some wrong purposes.
853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: December 22, 2016, 06:36:27 PM
Bitcoin to me is more than just a currency, and so I think that it will possibly exist as a long-lasting experiment with different concepts being involved ahead in it in the future. Whether it earns a value of a million bucks or not, it has already gained such popularity which is more than what millions of things on the internet get.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: December 21, 2016, 02:56:07 PM
You have a chance to trade your coins, but you may go with an option of holding them for a long time as the price is going too high, so investing them anywhere currently is a risk as most sites may run away with your money, or they might decrease your return amounts based on price increase.
855  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: December 21, 2016, 02:47:42 PM
Bitcoins are worth a lot to me as they help a lot being more of a currency as during these hard times when we are facing demonetization, bitcoins are the only thing that we rely upon and not fiat as we sell bitcoins to get money through PayTM from trusted users, and we pay money digitally directly to get anything. I feel that bitcoins have increased my own worth.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: December 21, 2016, 02:28:05 PM
I like the decentralization feature, but hate transparency as it somehow allows many users to see the transactions and either assume or know completely that specifically "you" did it. Anonymity is nowhere as promised unless everything is public.
857  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best website I can buy LTC/BTC with paypal? on: December 15, 2016, 08:30:37 PM
For bitcoins, I think the best website to be bought with paypal would be virwox as they charge least fee and would allow you to trade (limited amounts) without KYC. For Litecoins, this one is a site that you may try out: litecoinlocal.net
858  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: [ANN]डिसेंट - डिसेंट्रलाइज़िंग कंटेंट डिस्ट्र on: December 15, 2016, 08:26:55 PM
859  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-12-08] Demonetisation: Why Bitcoin is gaining currency in cashless times on: December 15, 2016, 08:03:35 PM
This shows that adoption for Bitcoins in India is growing at a faster pace than any other country and all thanks to our PM for his decision on stopping 500 and 1000 notes to be used as a legal tender. These news are surely going to affect the prices to grow even higher and it won't stop here.
860  Economy / Economics / Re: How many BTC will make you a fiat millionaire in 5 years? on: December 15, 2016, 07:55:59 PM
At current price, I think that 20 BTC is enough to make me a fiat millionaire in my country as it will be more than a million here.
But with that million, I think I will not be able to survive and that's why, my goal is big of achieving 200 Bitcoins till I die.
