Amazing stuff.  Wall street would save tons of money in lawyer in bank fees.  And I didn't realize it took 3 days to finalize trades.

Can you post the article?  I don't have a WSJ account.

Lately during the week it seems like the Chinese have been dumping coins in the AM hours and Americans have been buying them back up during the day.

Anybody know how that process works?  If somebody buys 100 shares will a xbt bot buy 100 shares off a exchange in real time?  Or is it a deal where if more and more shares get bought then will buy in like 1000 coin baskets off a exchange whenever they want?

If you're not loading up on btc while its still below $300 you're gonna have a bad time.

Why would one buy a BTC for $490, when the price on US-regulated exchanges is $244?

Why is this same question asked every day?
853  Economy / Speculation / Re: XBT Provider on: May 08, 2015, 06:52:15 PM
Incorrect.  Goes live may 18th.

Hopefully were seeing the start of investors that can buy btc directly from exchanges start to do so.  And btc price will slowly rise to bit prices.

I'm sure most shareholders didn't jump to transfer there shares the first day.  I'm sure everyday more shareholders are completing the process.
857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some good action brewing in the GBTC again! on: May 07, 2015, 06:23:51 PM
Lol pretty sure its illegal for a broker to purchase bitcoins off some unregulated exchange with client IRA funds.

who needs a broker to buy bitcoin on coinbase or itbit?

Pretty much anybody that wants a portion of there 401k or IRA invested in bitcoin.  That's what shares like gbtc are for.

860  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: local bitcoin question on: May 07, 2015, 04:24:11 PM
Correct.  I fail to see why I need to use escrow in a face to face trade.  Only response I got from buyer was that he didn't think I had the funds and wouldn't show up to the meet.  Which to me makes no sense at all.  Maybe he was just trolling me and wasting my time.  Purpose of this thread was just to see if this could be a scam of some sort.
