It will be a bad idea to invest in ICO project considering how the crypto ecosystem is changing. IEO is the new way to invest into a crypto project which is scam free. I don't really think all new crypto coins are worthless. Some have good potential of bridging the challenges other cryptocurrencies couldn't solve as stated in their whitepapers.
