841  Economy / Economics / Re: Solar panels set to be mandatory on all new buildings under EU plan on: May 29, 2022, 09:45:17 AM
This law is simply about generating power to the building and houses. This policy is to take care of the challenges of energy and it is not really new to hear it because it is already seen around. I believe it is the awake of this Russian and Ukraine war that has waken EU to such solution. Apart from new buildings, some old buildings are being renovated to carry solar panels and I think it is good for the people to use solar energy to power their houses, it could be cheaper also and convenient.
I am not sure about it. But the country I live in - we face almost 8 hours of power outage, there is a server energy crisis. This brings in so much physical and mental torture that work life balance is also affected. Saving energy should be top priority of the world.
We suffer so much!
842  Economy / Economics / Re: How DCA Could Have Prevented Your from Losing More on: May 29, 2022, 09:41:08 AM
Unfortunately while DCA being one of the most effective strategies for non market pros, it's probably the most boring method hence why most people don't want to do it. People get really addicted to the adrenaline rush of getting in and out of positions, not knowing that most of them are just basically gambling because they're doing things blindly.

https://dcabtc.com/
and needs a lot of patience. For a person like me who is very impulsive this DCA is not successful.
DCA is good for those who have patience - who can wait and invest. I need to do some exercises to be calm and then start investing.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: A decision to make on: May 29, 2022, 09:35:02 AM
For me, it will be calmer to buy and improve my home, and only after I have some kind of financial cushion will I invest. I cannot trust that I cannot guarantee the safety of my family, since we are raising children, and we cannot risk their lives.

But I agree with Lucius that for very young people, it is possible to take risks, live in a rented apartment, and invest in bitcoin. But again, you must be prepared that at some point, it may happen that you will have nothing to pay for housing. Therefore, evaluate all risks.
Likewise I spend so much on my room and house. For me having a comfortable beautiful house is my top priority.
I would also like to invest my money to have a better living.
Don't know there are so many thing which one wishes to have. LOL
844  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 29, 2022, 09:31:46 AM
Get Money - Save money - Invest money.
Follow the cycle and don't stop half way.
I agree in this strategy. First is to get money through working hard, having a job can ensure that you'll get an stable income and much better if you also have an extra job to maximize the money that you can earn and save.

But its necessary that you know how to manage your money for the monthy budget, the amount to save and the amount that you'll invest. It doesnt mean we have to spend all our savings to invest, because its also hard to have no cash on hand in case of emergency.

Gaining through our investment takes time hence the money that you'll put on it must be the money that you can live without.
Just save for your life savings and for your life's investments and manage them well. That way, you will never be in trouble if you invest the funds intended for investments because even if you lose, you won't get rekt since you never spend those funds intended for your savings only. And what is important is that regardless of the amount you invest, you always invest in the right projects or investments because that is your goal, invest and grow your money.
Yes - that's nicely mentioned.
If one lives within their means - things are better.
Impulsive buying and unnecessary hoteling and wasting food brings one in trouble.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: Stop buying from automated producers / businesses, it's making you poor on: May 29, 2022, 09:29:42 AM
If only that was done like that. If you have 10 dollars per burger, and you spend 5 bucks of it on salaries, then you will be looking ways to drop that. Now imagine you took out a loan and bought some machines now you have just very few people, so now you spend 1.5 dollars on the salaries and 1.5 dollars on the loan, total of 3 dollars goes to this instead of 5 and do they drop the price? No, they still sell it for 10, or at best 9. So not only people lose their jobs but the price is the same as well.

Due to inflation it even goes higher as well, which means that at certain point many people will be unemployed and the prices will be the same or more.
There are places that does promotions and discounts or do get buy 2 get 1 type of situations in that case. Plus, humanity will grow towards better and better technology one way or another, there is no way of stopping it. A company is only entitled on making money, there is no responsibility to get as many workers as possible, that would be ideal and lovely but if they do not need to then they won't do it.

Places like logistics are the most worked on for example, because there are so many people working in warehouses of amazon and similar places, and they are paying salaries the most, and I believe that it will become as less worker oriented as possible since they are spending so much money on RD for it.
I was an impulsive buyer earlier - used to waste a lot of money. But after COVID I stopped going to the market and saved a lot of money. That is how I stopped buying unnecessary stuff. I think its not the article which gives you awareness it's your inner self which makes you more wise.
846  Economy / Economics / Re: World has just ten weeks' worth of wheat left after Ukraine war on: May 29, 2022, 09:26:08 AM
I think if wheat becomes too expensive there are a lot of other types of grains that can be used to replace it that can be produced elsewhere or are already produced in abundance such as oat, barley and rice (these can be milled).
That's true -the war has affected the whole world. Mainly through fuel and secondly through wheat. Although Pakistan is an agricultural country. The wheat prices has already increased and people are in trouble because of fuel and wheat both.
AH _ tough time!
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 28, 2022, 07:19:32 PM

With the current situation of the gambler, they will feel different emotions and it affects the game itself and also their decision making that's why most of the study is related of addiction into the psychological things of a person, having tons of research and study makes more the information reliable because many researchers outcome in their data gathering have the same results.
Research says - excess of everything is bad. Be it habit or need.
So everything looks good in limit. I have read about 7 deadly sins - one of which is Lust and greed. When you have greed and lust for money - you loose emotional control
848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: May 28, 2022, 07:16:19 PM

Yes, Russia is one of the largest suppliers of oil in the world. As a result, Russia has a much bigger power to win over oil supplies to other countries. So Russia has now created a situation where they are in a strong position. Now boycotting a Russian website can be a personal matter, you can boycott any country's website if you want, if you think that country is involved in something that is endangering the lives of ordinary people. So now if anyone thinks that boycotting a Russian website will give him a lot of personal satisfaction, then he/she can definitely go ahead with his/her decision.
Valid point raised. Now the question is - is this OP about the personal boycott or is he asking about the gov boycott.
If it is personal then you are right people can do it - but if it gov boycott than of course everyone is in trouble, Sri lanaka and Pakistan faced so much trouble after not participating in voting against Russia. There is so much chaos....
849  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: May 28, 2022, 07:12:24 PM
But Biden's stupid policies means that the oil and gas prices are further driven up.
These aren't stupid policies, these are the only things that US can do out of desperation. We are talking about 70 year old plans falling apart one after another. And it didn't start by Russian invasion, it started years ago but you didn't notice because your censored media wasn't allowed to cover them.
The old hegemony is falling apart and a new world order is emerging. It's like giving birth, it is painful... Wink

New world order is emerging for sure, but we need to see whether they will overtake the old one. Combined economies of US-EU-Japan has been stagnant for quite some time now, and self-destructive embargoes and sanctions will harm them even further. If Trump was in power, then he would have taken steps to increase shale oil production within the United States and the increased supply of crude oil would have destroyed the Russian economy. Biden on the other hand has went the opposite direction, and as a result the Russians are earning 10x of what they were earning in 2021.
I m not sure if Biden is a good president or not.
The exit of American forces from Afghanistan and the after effect on the region and than this Ukraine war and recently what is going on in Pakistan and Sri lanka. God have mercy on the world.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: May 28, 2022, 07:05:21 PM
^ It is really hard to catch fish in a wide ocean, you will never know who is your target if you have ads on social media.
It seems like wasting your money and time, why not on the community that has a full of gamblers, like on this forum or any platform that allows gambling.
Social media advertisements can be targeted to groups and individuals who are likely to be interested in seeing them. You can configure them to be shown to followers or friends of certain gambling communities, users who like certain brands, and have interests that suits what is being advertised. Whether or not Facebook allows gambling ads, that's a different topic of discussion. My point is, they can be configured to your taste.
No social media has their restrictions - in particular insta most of the time they delete the post - marking it scam.
And it can hold your account as well. and block it. So better be careful while promoting gambling on the social media.
851  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 28, 2022, 07:01:31 PM
What's your timeline for becoming a millionaire?

Generally speaking, if you have around a million dollars in your investment portfolio, then presumably you should be able to draw upon that at about a 4% per year rate (which is $40k per year and $3,333 per month) and to largely be able to continue with that amount of withdrawal in a near perpetual manner (theorist presume 30 years, but I suppose it depends upon how you assess its value and if you really can get your portfolio to earn more income than your withdrawal rate).

Of course, if we are talking about being able to live off of $300 per week, then our numbers are ONLY about 36% of the millionaire amount - which largely should mean that we should be able to generate $300 per week from ONLY $360k of an investment portfolio... presuming a 4% withdrawal rate... and hopefully a way of investing that generates at least more than 4% per year on average.
I doubt Apocollapse meant being a millionaire in terms of dollars or USD. Being able to earn 1,500 dollars per week will not make anyone a millionaire (dollars) but if you will consider other currency that has much lower value than dollars such as Philippine Pesos. Then, there's a high possibility that you can be a millionaire on your country. Anyway, that is if you only do signature campaign and do not invest or trade.

There are many countries where $1500 is a fine amount to live like a king.
In asian country - if you know the language and you are well of the culture - you can easily find a decent place to live and you can have a good food on the table. In particular if you are an english speaker - you will find a lot of work options as well.
852  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: May 23, 2022, 04:57:42 PM

Note: All calculations where done based on prevailing price in the market and dollar to naira exchange rate which goes for about $1 = #593 and Bitcoin price to be BTC1 = $30,374. Also, all calculations for food and outing/partying was done on individual bases. The rest is relative as such being roommates.

Hope it helps. Thank you!
Very detailed.
You know there is a concept of Airbnb, where host want money and guests want a place. It is win win for both -there you get a good place and cuts off other expenses like cleaning and washing and do the chores yourself and save a lot of money. The app is a good way to plan you visit anywhere - good luck.
853  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: May 23, 2022, 04:47:56 PM

Yes there is no guarantee of success with signature campaign. Signature campaign any other advertisement wont be a successful marketing strategy if there is no attractive offer in the casino. As a product, there should be selling points that make people who read/see the advertisement can be attracted to come and play. There were some casinos with signature campaign in the past but they failed to survive because the lack of attractive offers in the casino. All in all, advertisement should be followed by attractive offers in order to be a marketing strategy.
For good advertisement - one need a good budget too.
The more money you put in the more reach you will get for the business and also after tapping the potential customers - it is hard thing to maintain the client - so the real game starts then.

The problem is we don't like it if a good person joins politics because we think he is just going to end up doing dirty politics. We just don't believe that a good person can have some good effect on politics and maybe something will change in favor of the people. People actually don't want to believe that any respectable people actually can do good and bring good changes by joining politics. I say that has the problem of people's mindset.
I believe Afridi is trying to act like IK, being a bit over confident and speaking truth as if he is very smart.
But sometime - over acting does not pay well. He needs to balance his personality and politics - it will be better - and he should also keep himself away from imported gov, LOL
855  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: May 23, 2022, 04:42:51 PM
Russia don't has much in its hand. Europe has came together to despise Russia for its war in Ukraine. Russian economy is being systematically choked by US and allies. Most of the European nations are only trying to just supporting US, even if they are facing short term challenge.
US and Europe have not done a single thing to harm Russian economy. If anything EU has helped rebuild Russian economy ever since they invaded Ukraine. Have you checked Ruble exchange rate lately? It is at an all time high ever since 2015!!!

US tried to turn Ukraine into Afghanistan for Russia and make them get stuck there like US did for 20 years spending $7 trillion while achieving nothing. But so far the biggest harm has come to innocent people of Ukraine who are being killed or dislocated and then EU with the way inflation and food scarcity is hitting people pushing middle class into lower class and lower class to homelessness.
Both the countries preach Peace and both are killing innocent people like crazy.
That is true that after spending 20 years in Afghanistan - US just left in hurry, Afghanistan cannot be invaded. The world needs to understand.

You know what - that is not funny at all.
India would always play games to keep PK away from the international cricket. So that they are always in trouble - but I hope God plans are more powerful than men's plan. Why are Indian always happy when something bad happens?
How can India play games on keeping Pakistan away from International Cricket, the sole reason the teams were afraid of touring Pakistan is simply because of security threats and the attack against Sri Lanka team while they were touring and some of the players were injured with bull wounds and it was an unfortunate incident and hence there was no tour planned for decades. I suggest not to drag politics here in the forum.
Well its not dragging politics here. But cricket and politics are linked somehow.
If we start dragging these issue they will lead to a trouble but that is also true how hard Paksitan tries to bring things on a peaceful level there are always a trouble and IND celebrates it.
857  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: May 22, 2022, 04:41:09 PM

They put Russia in sanction thinking Russians will suffer but it seems that they are the ones that is suffering now because they can't get the supply that they want and that supplies are mainly available in Russia. There are little supply from other countries but as soon as that run dry, they will have no choice but to cut the sanctions and welcome Russia to the club again.

For the status of the war, recently there was an update which states that Russians are now backing out. This is a good news. We will only hear one day that Russians have surrendered and accept their defeat, though I don't know if this boycott thing here have helped, as well as the sanctions.
I totally agree - everyone was so emotional to put sanction on Russia.
They were all very aware that they are all dependent on their fuel supply from Russia. Let's see what is going to happen. But things are not easy now.

I have seen a couple of scientific articles based on gambling, and it probably would make a lot of good references since it has come out only this year.

This article[1] is based on Australia and gambling problems. The focus of the study is as follows
  • Land-based only gambling problems
  • Online-based only gambling problems
  • Mixed mode gambling problems

I think it will answer why people would opt-in to gamble in land-based casinos or online, or a mix of both. It is quite an exciting approach and how it affects the health problems that people may face with it.

Another article[2] that might interest you guys is that the gambling problems that occur with games. Video gamers would affect their gambling decisions, like the effects of the loot boxes and non-loot boxes.

There is good news for PCB as New Zealand to compensate Pakistan for aborted tour in 2021. Along with an undisclosed sum, New Zealand will play extra games when the two sides meet in Pakistan next year
PCB has suffered alot in last 10 years but now things are coming positive for PCB as Aussies just toured Pakistan, England and New Zealand to tour Pakistan next.

LOL.. that gives rise to the most important question. Will BCCI follow suit and compensate PCB? As far as I know, they haven't toured Pakistan for the last two decades or so. If I am not wrong, the last tour of Pakistan by the Indian national team was in 2006. India was supposed to tour Pakistan in 2009, but that tour was cancelled after the Mumbai attacks (2008). Ideally, either the BCCI or the ICC should have compensated the PCB for the cancelled tour. Because it was supposed to be a reciprocatory tour in response to the 2007 tour by Pakistan to India.
Haha You know what funny part is?

PCB did file a case against BCCI but they lost the suit and additionally $2.2 Million, they even had to pay BCCI 1.6 million dollars as compensation for covering the cost, fees etc.

This case was related to 2015-2023 bilateral proposal between both boards.

PCB pays compensation to BCCI after losing case in the ICC’s Dispute Resolution Committee
You know what - that is not funny at all.
India would always play games to keep PK away from the international cricket. So that they are always in trouble - but I hope God plans are more powerful than men's plan. Why are Indian always happy when something bad happens?
860  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: May 22, 2022, 03:43:41 PM

Now I will very simply explain to you the essence of what is happening, who will have to pay for what. If you smoke and drink alcohol all your life and eat constantly junk food, then with a high probability, after a while a person will have either cirrhosis of the liver, or lung cancer, or degenerative diseases of the pancreas or other disorders that can lead either to disability or death. And in this situation, you will have to pay a lot of money to be cured, or to prevent diseases from killing the victim. This is how Europe is - many decades of flirting with the Kremlin, playing along and selling the European hydrocarbon market to Kremlin terrorists, support for money or for fear of disclosing compromising evidence of many decisions in favor of Russia. This deliberate destruction of the body, toxic ties with Russia, led to what happened now - now we need to "operate", make complex changes, which by themselves will not have a very positive impact on the economy and the standard of living of EU citizens, and will require increased spending. But, the situation is this - to continue, what is described above - will end in fuel blackmail and even terrorism, and real, incurable problems of the EU. Therefore, a path has been chosen - changes, diversification of supplies, sanctions against terrorists, revision of energy legislation and concepts.
Very well explained. And  I am not convinced that what USA is doing is doing to save UKraine.
They have their own agendas, no one cares for other - they only care because they have motive behind it. Now Russia is not coming slow. They will show the world they are power. Putin has sharp mind - I must say!
