841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the large variety of Altcoins hurting the market? on: February 16, 2019, 01:39:12 PM
You could make the argument that if all of the capital in crypto only had to be spread across 50 coins that that would make each of those coins extremely more valuable.  In light of that thought, is the huge variety of Altcoins ultimately a good or bad thing for crypto?

From the one hand it's good. More projects, more people involved and informed about the crypto market, more potential investors.
From the other hand - bad. More scams, more weak crappy projects, less investors trust crypto projects...
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ☛ Signature Bounty & Merit System on: February 15, 2019, 11:52:30 PM
More than a year ago Merit System was integrated to Bitcointalk forum to make forum messages more informative and quality (or should make it)
That is the question\idea: Why Bounty campaign starters/managers don't use that?
For example it would be an additional bonus for Signature Bounty participants if their message will be merited. It will confirm (in ideal) that the message will be detaily read and estimated and signature will be noticed for sure.

You must be new here Smiley Internet and forums I mean. Such systems never work the way they were planned to work. Every such idea meets the reality and fails inevitably because of human nature. Try gaining 10 merits by your own, without paying anybody and you will see how hard is that Smiley Everybody understands that there is no use of granting you merit if they know they can sell it.

844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy on rumour and sell on news. on: February 13, 2019, 07:10:42 PM
There is a rumour about hard  fork of ETH and the volume in the trading of ETH is aggressively growing .Prices are showing strength .Is it an  opportunity to buy on rumour and sell on the news to book profit.

Don't see any good future for ethereum at the moment. The project is losing its power and only huge bull run can save it. But it is possible that even in that case some other projects will take the lead.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 best year for ICO on: February 13, 2019, 07:08:51 PM
I bet we will see better and baddass projects in 2020 simply because bitcoin halving is 2020 ,since what most devs care about is market condition and fear of dumping there tokens 2020 will be a better target for upcoming projects  and that doesn't mean there won't be scam projects too ,profits is all we care about isn't it?

Hope the big rally will take hold in 2019 Smiley 2020 is too far away Smiley
There are many good news and much development in crypto now. They can't dump the market for one more year I think.
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin for future on: February 13, 2019, 06:36:59 PM
If I'm more interested in holding (indefinite time) than day trading, which altcoin should I invest in? Are there any one more indicated for holding, in your opinion?

Inspect coinmarketcap and choose some strong alts from top-50 list there. Take those ones that are dumped to hell and you will definitely earn a lot in a year or two Smiley
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex still safe to trade? on: February 13, 2019, 06:17:22 PM
Anybody here still trading on poloniex? I have some old token that is gaining price right now and I would like to sell them in early because I'm sure sooner the price will drop.

Does anybody still use Poloniex?

Yeah, sure, and why are you asking? Smiley Some scam rumours or what's up again? Smiley
Look at the volumes and you will see that Polo is still strong and popular enough.
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm NOT Buying Ethereum... on: February 12, 2019, 05:23:21 PM
Intro:

Back in 2017 it looked as if Ethereum was on its rise to becoming a dominant crypto in this sector, then the crash happened...After the big crash the entire crypto market took a hit, but Ethereum seemed to take the biggest hit out of any top 10 coin in the market. Ethereum was eventually "gapped" by XRP. Recently Ethereum has been fighting back to reach 2nd place in the cryptoverse, but here's why I think this will prove to be ineffective.

Ethereum:

The biggest problem with Ethereum is ICO's. ICO's are becoming a thing of the past and STO's are starting to takeover. This could save Ethereum from plummeting further, but the issues is with the fact STO's won't be as big of a craze as ICO's were. STO's require REAL results, while ICO's were just ideas and white papers. STO's require REAL investors with a BIG net worth, while (most) ICO's allowed anyone to invest. The main issue is that not many people will be able to buy into these STO's. There also won't be as many of them as ICO's. I think STO's could actually be successful and potentially great for this community, but their impact on the ETH price won't be near as great as ICO's were.

Where We Are Today:

There are still tons of quality projects out there that have the potential for big rises. Bitcoin is the leader in this market and one can assume will always have some type of value regardless of fundamental uses. Nauticus has been generating a lot of buzz recently with their launch and there's potential for their NTS token to do well within this community. Certain STO's are making great strides in the market and appear to be legitimate projects that should further legitimize this community. WEAK PLAYERS are bailing on crypto & this is GREAT. We want all of the scammers OUT of this community, so that quality projects can soak up the money that is left behind.

Projects mentioned:

Bitcoin - (self explanatory)

Nauticus - https://nauticus.exchange/

Ethereum - (self explanatory)

STO's - https://www.listico.io/sto/list

Disclosure:

Do your own research...be smart with your money  Grin

I think we can easily see some huge ethereum pump when the new wave of growth comes. And even some ICO market revival will happen at that time. So, ether  has some future potential in my opinion.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Coins and Tokens... on: February 12, 2019, 05:10:31 PM
Until when you gonna hold your coins and tokens?
Will you dump it if it is pumping in the market?

Will hold them at least until I see x10 from the current prices Smiley Then I will begin fixing everything at some levels. Probably 10% of whole coin quantity after reaching some desirable price levels.
850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: February 11, 2019, 07:58:30 PM
Yes, you are right. Every business has its own risks and as we all know, life itself even risks, and knows the business knows success.
These are two benefits of taking risks in my opinion.
1. Taking it quickly makes you stand out and show your confidence.
That is the best way to get people to stop and see you as a leader, as someone to be reckoned with. The most successful start ups are run by people who will never be "ok" with the status quo. Having knowledge combined with self-confidence makes you shine.

2. Risk taking can teach us new lessons that we don't miss.
Taking risks gives us invaluable opportunities to grow. It's nice to take risks, and if they don't succeed the first time, take what you have learned and take other risks. You only learn when taking risks and really learning what will make you successful. Nothing is impossible.

Risks should be reasonable. You should treat it like a business, like investment, not like a game. Gambling style leads you to failures. "Never lose you money" - some famous guy once said Smiley
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mew safe now?? on: February 11, 2019, 07:54:05 PM
Huh damnit i wanted to sell my vibe tokens, but to afraid to log in...  Angry

How can i know if its safe. Can a page be exactly the same as a phising site? I bookmarked it  half a year ago. Can a bookmarked site allways be trusted or what?

Always use bookmarks for such sites like crypto wallets, exchanges etc. Also I strongly recommend to use Metamask when working with MEW. And never ever show your private key in public places.
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Positivity is necessary in the cryptocurrency space on: February 10, 2019, 02:57:52 PM
The cryptocurrency space is faced with price volatility and most persons have been caught up with the bearish trend of the market. We never expected the bearish trend to last for this long, but we have little or nothing to do about the issue. Atimes, it feels like liquidating your portfolio and walking away from the frustration the market has left us, but that's not a good idea. One needs to be strong physically, emotionally and financially to cope with the pressure of the market. It's best to hold on for the bull run is near, let's be positive and don't fall victim of our rash decision. Don't give up yet.

Another post filled up with copybook maxims here... What's the use of it? Smiley
Let the people behave like they used to, those who understand how the market works will earn more as they deserved it Smiley
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are the best..!! on: February 10, 2019, 02:40:00 PM
how many of u agree that the altcoins are the best .......
bcoz it is faster ...it can be used for faster transaction and even the transaction fee is also comparatively less
and even buying an altcoin is cheaper and u can buy more coins ..and earn more profits ...but the coin u choose must be good coin Cool

What about 51% attack probability? Smiley What about the fact that all these coins are more volatile than bitcoin is, and when it is falling down, they do the same but much more dramatically? Smiley
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Ways to earn Tokens without investing or mining on: February 09, 2019, 05:35:29 PM
Hello everyone,

I wanted to share this article as it has 6 ways to earn crypto without investing or mining, as i think it will be useful for people who are just getting into crypto. Do you know of any other ways to earn? I'm rather interested. Below is the article.

https://www.crowdholding.com/blog/809/6-ways-to-earn-crypto-for-free

Thanks and look forward to your other ways to earn crypto!

I use almost all the types described there, except working for crypto Smiley
Mining, trading also. And some holding with dividends accrued too.
855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from the fullest dip on: February 09, 2019, 05:29:37 PM
The crash will teach alot of people a bitter lesson and they will learn from it,
they will learn the following

1. Never to love a coin

2. Never to be greedy

3. To cashout on profit always

4. To stop following hype

5. To know that what goes up must come down etc

Most of the people won't learn this lessons and will make all the same mistakes once again, trust me  Grin But this will be fun, we will see it soon I bet Smiley
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of waiting? on: February 08, 2019, 05:38:42 PM
If the bear market stays longer than expected will you take your leave and forget cryptocurrency ever existed? But the marketcap is getting larger and larger is that not enough to change your minds and stay?

I will wait as long as I need and enter the market when it is time Smiley But I won't sit and wait without investing somewhere else. Crypto is good but there are many other investing spheres.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent (BTT) coin! on: February 08, 2019, 05:15:22 PM
What do you guys think about BitTorrent (BTT)? do you have any interest in it? do you think it'll pump soon? Smiley

it was added to coinmarketcap 2 days ago.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bittorrent/#markets

It's too late, it has already been pumped. Moreover, they will be doing airdrops to Tron holders soon, so I would suppose that BTT will be dumped soon because of this.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: February 07, 2019, 06:02:23 PM
What is the waves future?
please share your opinion

Hope they will be able to withstand this bear frenzy and continue the development. When the next bull run comes, this coin can shoot and make x10 easily in my opinion Smiley
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smallcaps on: February 07, 2019, 05:55:21 PM
I've noticed a lot of the smallcaps I've bought earlier last year have come back in price (serenity coin is one of them - did 8x last month which I sold to break even). Anyone have any strategy as to picking the right one?

I would wait for another huge dump, caused by some panic news and begin buying coins and creating your own crypto portfolio. The good factor when thinking about picking up some smallcap project is strong, motivated team, continuing to develop their project even on such a bear market.
860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make investor interest to join ico on: February 07, 2019, 05:48:31 PM
Ask about marketing on ico project.
How to make investor interest at ico project and purchase ico..
Beside promote campaign and airdrop program, how we make investor interest for purchase.
Have you experience on ico marketing project?

That's quite a difficult task nowadays when people begin to think before putting their money somewhere only because "this is ICO!"
You should try creating some news background, apply some virus marketing and involve some authorities to promote your crowdsale.
