This is all because of incoming hardfork of ETH which I believe again will cause another dump on the market. So for me better to trade your ETH while it is still high or probably wait a day before the scheduled fork.

If you are thinking that ETH will have a bullrun in the coming days just because of the hardfork, no, not at all it's gonna happen. It's a hardfork which means an upgrade on the blockchain of its own chain. It's not about a new coin for which people will buy ETH more and more. Although there is a strong possibility of having a hype because with the new upgrade, it will be a PoS coin which means investor will invest into it for staking purpose and get reward. Anyway, I'm not a huge positive about ETH.

Actually it is not ruomour but fact. This hardfor shoult to be done in November, but because of some problems the postponed it to January. Hardfork will be done with block numer 7080000 , so probably in around a week.

If you believe on the rumor and it really happens as what you've expected, then that's alright. Just be careful, diligent and alert every time a bad news comes out or when the fork has fully done, the price will surely go down, may it be a little less or a very big dump.

Exactly this is called in short "play with the market with ongoing trends" but with proper planning of when to exit on the right time. Whenever there is any trends about project goes on like listing on big exchange, node integration, testnet, mainnet, big partnership announcement and hardfork etc the price of coin/token pumps naturally. Try to take advantage of this events and exit before 1 week to take maximum profit and don't be greedy take happily whatever profit you make as there are chances before events 2 to 3 days price goes down to minimise the risk. This Constantinople hardfork of ethereum will obviously pump the price and hopefully they will smoothly fulfill their purpose of hardfork in future..

neither of these two are "rumors" they are facts.
- Fact: Ethereum has a hard fork upcoming
- Fact: hard forks are super risky and will split the chain into two in 90% of the cases
- Fact: forks are usually hyped up and can lead to pump
- Fact: the volume has been picking up but it can be be cause of the recovery  + the mini pump

a rumor would be something like hearing about ETH being listed on some big exchange that didn't have it before and buying it before there is any official announcement.

It's not a rumor. It's real sudshkumar. Try checking Vitalik Buterin's Tweet. However, we can't really assure if there is going to be a bull run after the hardforking so better HODL your ERC tokens and ETH.

Yeah you are totally right, I just bought some Ether yesterday, I wish I am not too late and turns out doing FOMO. I plan on selling them 2 or 3 days before the actual hardfork happen which is on January 19th if I am not mistaken. So, you better buy it now before you are too late.

it is easy only in theory but not in reality.

in reality you have no way of knowing what is the best time to buy based on some bullshit rumor online since the internet is filled with them every day.

so i'd say the best strategy is to only look at what matters the most: the charts.
when you look at them you can see everything there is to know about the altcoins. for example the volume that is going into a shitcoin before it is pumped. and you can use that kind of "pumping signal" to buy in and enjoy the short lived pump and then look for the exit signs and dump right away to get your profit out successfully.
