841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title on: July 29, 2023, 08:00:03 PM

13lbs is not so hard to achieve if Inoue wants it. I bet he will still win against Tank as long as he can still keep up with the speed and his power. But this is too optimistic that he will still be fast.

Inoue has an easier path compared to Crawford, as Spence is sure not going to allow that to happen. As we saw during their face-off, both boxers seemed to have trained well, evidenced by the shape of their bodies. Although Crawford is likely to win, he has to respect the power of Spence, as he did not become a champion and undefeated for no reason.

This fight is highly anticipated, and every boxing enthusiast has their own prediction and opinion. But no one knows how it will end; tomorrow, we will find out if the public is correct when Crawford wins.

They weren't really trash talking but were just talking and smiling during their faceoff, it seem rare to happen. I'm kind of expecting the fight to last up to 12 rounds already all because of these smiling faces.

I must say that they are a good match here though Inoue has really been building up a firm foundation of records n this field. It will be a huge challenge for Tapales but based on their face off, they seemed to be so prepared so I also guess that they could reach 12 rounds unless Inoue would show off his max strength.
Tapales seems too ready knowing that Inoue has great winning streaks. He should double his effort and give his best shot during this trainings so he will be able to counter the fast punches of Inoue. This is an exciting match and would be another opportunity for Tapales to build a good record if ever he'll bring Inoue down.

What preparation? What face-off? I don't recall that Inoue and Tapales already made a deal and have already begun their preparations for the undisputed fight.
Don't be lost mate because what they are talking above was the final face-off between Spence and Crawford before they commence their fight later.

Anyway, I agree with your words that Inoue do truly have an advantage over Tapales and just like what happened to Inoue at 188, it seems to me as well that after he fought and defeated Fulton, I don't see anyone at 122 that can give Inoue a good fight and he might be an undisputed boxer again without trying his very hard to achieve it. Unless if Casimero will catch up because I definitely think that he is a much better fit compared to Tapales, no offense.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 29, 2023, 07:16:50 PM
Now for the final question, will Crawford able to make it straight into a reality and be the strongest in the welterweight division? Or most of us here are wrong about him and we might've underestimated the underdog who prolonged the fight.

Well, nobody can answer that question for sure because it's not just you but all of us who are excited to see this fight is also rooting to find the answer. And if I'm being honest, I'd say that Crawford got some chances to win over Spence, but we know that the latter is not that easy to overcome and it will be a tough battle before we can finally know the answer.

For now, let's enjoy and hopefully we will get the entertainment that we want for the fight later.
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 29, 2023, 05:34:59 PM
For the incident happen to Bronny provably many teams will avoid to take him since cardiac arrest is serious health case which teams can't risk to give him a contract sue to health issues. And it seems that we can't really see the most awaited father and son duo in Nba, maybe for this incident where Bronny is in serious troubles maybe we can see Lebron retires as his plan didn't come up and he don't have anything to prove anymore. Just want to see some miracle comes and there's still a chance for son of Lebron to have a good comeback and can still able to play good basketball together with his father or if not still land on Nba.
Let's not make it a big deal; instead, let's be positive. Let's trust the process the team will follow because he will not be included in the NBA draft if he doesn't pass the physical exam. What if what happened isn't that serious, or there's a cure for it?

Bronny has been anticipated to play in the NBA, although he isn't as good as his father. But with LeBron's influence, there's surely a team that will draft him. However, with what happened recently, some fans may be doubting his chance to make it to the NBA.
I am sure that someone will draft him because of his father, but also everyone has been talking about how he would be drafted due to his father but the kid isn't that bad himself. He is an nba draft potential player even without his father, maybe early second round at worst case, but he would be drafted if his father wasn't lebron james. It's not about how good he is, sure he is good but also about the fact that there aren't that many players that is better than him that year.

Many players are worse, so if we are talking about 60 players drafted, I do not see 60 better than him players on his generation. Which is why he will most probably be drafted anyway, with Lebron as his father, he will be drafted even higher for sure.

With or without LeBron James's connection with the teams in the league, Bronny James will still be connected to his father, and he cannot ever evade it because his DNA is already saying it. But yes, you are right with what you mentioned, he is already good as a player and will probably make a name for himself once he starts his professional career in NBA. In fact, in the recent mock draft, LeBron James Jr. is a 1st round pick considering that he will recover and play again in the next couple of weeks.
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 29, 2023, 05:08:49 PM
So the risk is there as the fight goes longer for him and for Santiago he might want to prolong the fight and test Nonito's stamina.
It's the right strategy to be made, considering Donaire is older now; he might slow down as the fight goes longer. However, that's a big task for Santiago, as he needs to prevent the heavy punches of Donaire. Since Donaire is a counter-punching guy, the fight might be boring if he does not engage. I don't see a scenario that will give the fans enjoyment, but if it's the strategy, then there's nothing we can do but watch.

In the era that we are in now, boxers are much more interested to have the belts by having the much easier routes without involving themselves in a toe-to-toe confrontation fights which the fans wanted as that is much more entertaining. Some of these boxers now are not really inclined to be named as one of the strongest boxers in their era because boxing industry nowadays became more and more business instead of an entertainment sport.

That said, it's understandable if Santiago will resort into a boring fight where he will just fight to survive and will settle for the points instead because confronting and challenging Donaire is not really a good idea because only few managed to do that and had a successful run afterwards. Keeping up with him is another thing, so most probably, Santiago will start his gameplan in the mid rounds.

You are right, more on winning no matter how you take that win, what is important is you win the fight.

If Santiago will execute that kind of fight plan, the chance of winning is better. Considering Donaire's age, there's already limitation
on his movements, and pushing the fight to the decision calls, he can surely manage to hit and run and make some good points
and reserve those in his favor to win by UD to earn the belt.

It might be ugly and some boxing fans will not appreciate their way but for them, a win is a win and there's nothing greater than that.

Now about Santiago and Donaire, we all know that the latter may have some problems along the way mainly in the late rounds specially if he already poured his strengths in the early to middle rounds just to make the fight end much sooner. And if Santiago can survive that without being knocked down, I think he can make that as an advantage while the latter is already tired at that point. Furthermore, there's no favorite here in the eyes of the judges because both of them is seeking for the same belt.
845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies can't profit from crypto without knowing how to trade. Truth or Myth? on: July 27, 2023, 08:16:15 PM
I overheard my coworkers discussing the idea that new investors in crypto cannot make profits without possessing trading skills. I would like to initiate a discussion on whether this claim is true or false. In my view, this belief is a false notion that is spread by individuals who want to discourage those who are curious about investing in crypto. What is your perspective on this topic?

Guys, I mean what other ways can newbies benefit from crypto investment without having to be a day trader or a professional trader. Because I believe there are other ways to earn aside from trading.
It’s certainly a myth only. Trading is said to be very profitable especially for those who are skilled and knowledgeable traders. But investing is also a means to make profits especially for those who are long term hodlers because definitely their profits will be a lot bigger. However, I would say that both can still be profitable especially if they trade or invest accordingly.
846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie - advice? on: July 27, 2023, 06:31:54 PM
Hi I want to get into trading and just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get started?

I am not expecting big things straight away but want to at least learn the basics.

I have been looking online for a book to buy to start things off does anyone have any recommendations?

This two books below have lots of good reviews are they good for someone new like myself? ..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trading-Strategies-Replicable-Techniques-Management/dp/B09WZ296F2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=2RZ07ID9WJP3L&keywords=trading+for+beginners&qid=1689428852&sprefix=%2Caps%2C69&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

Trading as a newbie is certainly hard and even risky. Even if you’ve read books, articles, or watch videos, trading is always hard especially in the beginning but if you keep the experience and learn from it everytime you fail or lose, then eventually you’ll get better trading in the market along with time. That’s why when trading, reading is good but not actually beneficial because in the long run, experience will always matter the most and on how you deal with market changes and price volatility.
847  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 27, 2023, 04:19:23 PM
Although I'm starting small but I have a great dream to feed the nation with my agro business.
Goodluck with that. Quite a lot of people going into agriculture think it is easy and would fetch them a lot of money once they get into it. Subsistence farming is a whole lot different from commercial farming, and when you get into the latter your cost rises rapidly, as well as the chances of failure despite the amount spent, thus look at things critically before you decide to 'grow' your 'agro business', it is not a walk in the park.
I see your intention is good and I just hope you’ll achieve that in due time. However, having an agri business will certainly take a lot of your patience and understanding before you can say that your business becomes productive and profitable. And definitely, a lot of expenses as well so you can ensure it’s growth and it’s productivity in the making. So it can save one country from recession, but Im not certain how long it’ll last.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 27, 2023, 03:33:50 PM
You don't have to appeal or advise anyone to buy BTC, it is risky to give investment advice to people about BTC because they may blame you if the result they get is not what they expected. BTC is a popular decentralized currency and many people already know about it, some of them know it to be a censorship resistant and permissionless cryptocurrency that they can use to avoid censorship, and others know that the price is volatile and they can make revenue from it.

So don't appeal to people to buy BTC, if they want to use any of its use cases, they will buy BTC and be responsible for the decision, there is very good demand for BTC already and you don't have to worry about adding to it  Cheesy.
Let the people think and decide what’s best for them. Bitcoin investment is a very volatile investment so you can’t expect that it will always be a source of profits for them most especially when the market turns into sudden bearish, I don’t think they can easily bear the stress of thinking when will bitcoin price goes up again. So in that case, a lot of them will only end up panic selling and lose their investment because they decide to invest even when they are not completely aware of its risk and danger of losing.
849  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Impact of Bitcointalk forum in our lives on: July 27, 2023, 01:30:47 PM
I am grateful to my brother who introduced me to this forum. He is loved. He saw my insightful posts on social media and decided to introduce me here that I can monetize my writing skills. Although, he introduced me to make money from the forum, but when I discovered something better than making money (information shared here), I became more dedicated to the extent that I never wanted to join signature campaign anymore even when my rank was due.

But at a point I joined a campaign, from that time till now, I have been in active campaign and I have been learning. I am happy that this forum made me more informed and wiser, also some kind of financial stability together with bitcoin.
Truly this forum has been very helpful not just in terms of having a sustainable income but also on achieving personal growth, being knowledgeable and highly competent enough in order to not to struggle in life particularly when it comes to financial aspects.
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 26, 2023, 09:41:07 PM
My advice - BE CAREFUL

Investment and trading books, articles and videos are made by people who might not actually be winning traders. They make their money by writing "investment materials" and sell it to us, the plebs.

Plus "as traders", most of you will lose money and leave. Some of you might return and lose more money. Some might have learned their lesson the hard way and just HODL Bitcoin. The few who actually put in the most time, effort and who are well-capitalized might make it.
Or just for content fillers to get their sponsorship get through Cheesy . No one will tell ya how to be rich in trading, or simply put it no one will tell ya how to get rich at all. Cheesy

I am one of those people that "learned their lesson the hard way and just HODL Bitcoin". It's just not worth investing my mental health in keeping up with my trades daily especially that what I was doing was merely day trading. What I earned? Lesson and experience. Cheesy  I still learned quite few technical stuffs like Bollinger Band and RSI though.

It's perfectly fine if trading isn't working out for ya. Trading is not for everyone.
And even if there are people who will always claim that trading can make someone instantly rich, well it’s still not a guarantee since trading is unpredictable and even if you have the skills and working strategies, you are still not excuse from committing inevitable losses. That’s why some end up quitting for good and just settle on bitcoin hodling where they can still make profits without risking that much.
851  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: July 26, 2023, 08:56:54 PM
In my point of view financial stability is apart from your basic needs food, shelter and cloths. If you don't have to worry about your medical emergency, good education for your children, getting educational degree from reputed university, several investment in real estate etc. personally I feel this is the symbols of financial stability for any individuals. Financial stability is very crucial in life which needs to be carefully handled because this only will define how we are going to lead a comfortable  life in current and in future.
True. Financial stability is living a comfortable and prosperous life at the present without worrying in the future since you know everything has been set and plan for good. It allows you to live life to the fullest without worrying on your bills and insurance. The reason why financial stability becomes a crucial target that needs careful management once completely achieved.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Bull/Bear Market Which Do you Prefer? on: July 25, 2023, 08:38:14 PM
Both are actually very important for me, because you cannot expect to reap and make profits when there’s no bullish market, just like you cannot start and make a good entry in the market if the market never becomes bearish in the first place. However, if you’ll ask those beginners, they will certainly chose the bullish market because of their intention to get quick profits without realizing that there are bigger opportunities to start investing when the market is bearish.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 24, 2023, 06:59:23 PM
LOL, how this turn out to be Inoue vs Fulton thread? Stay on the topic guys, this thread is about Donaire vs Santiago fight.

And with that, this fight is just a few more days, so let's start betting if you haven't done so. I have Donaire here to win by knockout. Odds are very good at 2.95 so my money goes with that.

I'm thinking that Donaire can still pull the trigger and doesn't want this fight to go over to 12 rounds as he might get tired. So it's better for him to start hard like his previous fight and aim for a KO/TKO.

Hehe Grin I think that it was just an honest mistake because Inoue's name has been always involved whenever we're talking about Nonito Donaire specially after he gave his speculations towards the Inoue vs Fulton fight because surprisingly, Donaire made his own prediction and sided with Stephen Fulton despite the fact that he was defeated twice by Inoue.

Anyway, I already pushed my bets on this fight, and I got Donaire to win via KO as well because to be honest, the moneyline wasn't that tempting.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 24, 2023, 06:09:12 PM
^^ Right, Perhaps it was just bad stylistic matchup for Teo Lopez that time. As he can't adjust to the style of Kambosos as he was being beaten to the punch. Although he try to rally late in the rounds in that fight, was not enough for him to overcome the big lead early by Kambosos.

But here, he was exposed by Maxi and again, the decision could have go either way but he was gifted by the judges.

And most likely George will be back in Australia to enjoy and maybe happy that he was able to get this huge victory as he needed it to stay in boxing. And Bob Arum too, because Kambosos just sign a new contract with Top Rank.

It wasn't an easy fight for Kambosos because he had to summon all his remaining strengths just to secure the fight because it does really look ugly when he was exposed in the mid rounds by Maxi. I'd say that he needs to be more prepared if he is going to regain his name because judging by how he performed in this fight, he still lacks something regardless if Maxi is a southpaw or not. Anyway, it was a good fight and congratulations for Kambosos for securing the victory.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 24, 2023, 04:13:48 PM
gamblers are happier when they gamble and also hopeful to win. if they lose, they will still have hope that they'd win the next time they bet. you can't put good gamblers down.
even the gamblers who already lost everything, you can see them they are still laughing at their mistakes. i think the only gamblers who are already lost hope are the ones who successfully committed suicide.

It's a never-ending cycle regardless of the outcome of their bets because that same hope will never cease as we have a saying that tomorrow is a new day, and that is the reality for us gamblers. Being hopeful is fine as long as we know how to keep our boundaries so that we can still keep ourselves entertained in every time we are gambling, the bad thing will start if we will be chasing after what is already lost, and worse it will become a habit.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 24, 2023, 03:45:32 PM
^^ I'm not really sure if Crawford though can knockout Spence in just 3 rounds. Both are elite boxers, so maybe in the first couple of rounds it could be just feeling each other reading the moves, throwing feints and see what the other side will do or how they will react.

Of course a knockout is possible, but this two has high boxing IQ and with that, they will avoid getting trap and being knockout that early. It's already fight week and so everyone is really very excited to see which boxer will become undisputed.

We cannot say for sure because both of them is good in finishing the match by way of knockout but saying things like that in this situation is a bit of an overstatement knowing how good these two when they are fighting inside the ring. No need to underestimate either of the two because they are better than that and they are undefeated for a reason but in this fight, I'm ruling out the draw because one way or another, only one will come out victorious.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2023, 07:24:53 PM
It's obvious that the Celtics doesn't want to lose Jaylen Brown in the free market so they want to make sure that they will kept him in the last 5 years or so and they are willing to take that risk in the huge contract.

In fairness, him and Tatum are the backbone of the Celtics and so even if Marcus Brown has left and other players in their roster. They are still going to be a good contender with the 2 leading the team.

You mean Marcus Smart? He did not leave the team; he was actually traded, and based on his interview, he was even surprised that it happened. Well, this is business, and the management has the right to make a decision for the good of the team. Maybe Marcus Smart does not play based on their expectations anymore.
Yes, during the interview, he mentioned that the trade was far from his knowledge and he really didn't expect that he will be part
of that movement, knowing what he contributed to the team.

But likewise, it's business as usual, nothing to expect, but those movements are very possible to every player as the management is the
one who makes the decisions.

With Brown, Celtics knows that if he will be available, there are many offers that will come up, so they just make sure that
they will keep him with such an offer.

Well, I'm sure that Marcus Smart will understand it because it's not just him who is making a business in this league as the franchise as well is looking for a way to keep the team up high while also saving up some cap space for future movements. Also, among the other players who belonged to the same line-up, he is the most dispensable compared to Horford, Tatum or even Brown that is already looking on the money side as he is said to sign a contract worth a whopping $300 Million.
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 23, 2023, 07:02:46 PM
If you quit that's when you lose is the loser mentality, in my opinion. So many gamblers have lost life savings before on gambling to chase losses and that is how they thought about quitting gambling. I don't recommend applying this logic since there is no guarantee the next big multiplier will save all previous losses while you can add up more on the loss side. Gambling is all about the fun and nothing else, so forget this point of view and don't chase losses.

exactly what it is. That's even the reason why some people end up using their school fees to gamble, and some even use the money they were supposed to use for another project to gamble because of that false mentality they have about gambling. The major losses in gambling arise when the gambler refuses to give up after they have already lost a Great deal. As a gambler, one is supposed to have a budget of the amount that they would want to gamble off, so that even if they experience losses, they will not chase their losses.

Or worse, people will start considering committing a suicide and eventually end up taking their own life just like what we discussed here in this forum a couple of weeks ago about a student who used his tuition in gambling activities.

Honestly, it's not really that surprising that gamblers will end up in a situation like these because right from the start, they are already thinking it wrong and chasing whatever what is lost will be the easiest shortcut towards debt and problems. Gambling should be played with a total control over your emotions and setting the boundaries so that problems can be avoided.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: July 23, 2023, 05:39:46 PM
We got another tweet from Jake Paul addressing this fight by showing he's training to go 8 rounds.  It feels like after the last disaster of a press conference they really aren't doing much to promote this fight but walk through the motions.  It seems like once this fight fails Jake will try and fight KSI to establish some interest, and there are rumors of him fighting Nate Diaz in the octagon after this boxing match, but we'll see.  I personally think this Paul/Diaz fight is going to do really terrible numbers with the PPV and will probably hurt both fighter's brands.

Still too soon to establish this fight that it will indeed happen in the future and on the designated date because even though they have managed to provide some information and some cards under their bout, I still cannot say that it will really happen knowing that both fighters involved in this match is somewhat unpredictable. Also, I don't think that this fight is actually gaining some interests from the public because their bout is not that noisy.

I think it’ll definitely happen. They’ve both put a lot of time and energy into this already and Jake is even already promoting a rematch in the cage with MMA rules after this. It sounds to me like Jake is pretty confident not only that this fight will happen, but that he will win and they will both make so much money that an MMA meetup will be in the cards for them.

Yes, about that, I don't know what Jake ate that day where he decided to have a rematch in the octagon or what because I surely hope that he knows what he is saying and that he is about to face a menace fighter that was born to make a name in the octagon and most probably, Jake Paul will face the most embarrassing moment in his career.

Also, I read something in an article that this bout (boxing fight) the winner will take it all. I mean, I sure do hope that they included that in their contract and not just to hype the fight just like what Jake Paul did when he was about to fight Tommy Fury where he also said the exact same thing.
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 23, 2023, 05:14:12 PM

So we might listen to their predictions and what not and analysis. But as bettor I think we should know better and bet on the boxer that we think we should win the fight base on our own analysis. But with Donaire vs Santiago, I will go with the popular opinion that Donaire will beat Santiago and win the WBC bantamweight again.

Donaire could be wrong because, in the first place, he was mistaken when he believed he could beat Inoue. He was defeated twice, and that's a statement that Inoue is truly unbeatable. I'm not sure what the basis of his prediction is, but if it's solely because Inoue has moved up to a heavier weight, I doubt that's significant enough to affect his chances.

That's his personal opinion, though. Despite that, people may not change their minds and would still bet on Inoue. Let's just follow the trend since Inoue is one of the most popular boxers in the world; a loss would be detrimental to his career. So, let's consider that we are betting on his future, and we can be sure that our money is worth it, regardless of the outcome.

Adding that he's also fighting in front of his own crowd, Japanese culture is also important for them and I'm sure there's
a weight on it and Inoue will do everything not to be embarrassed in front of those Japanese fans'.

Nothing will change on my opinion if you are betting for Inoue, A word from a former opponent, can't vouch a possible outcome of the fight.

Inoue will be tested and by knowing him, always love to accept the challenge and excel from the expectations.

Inoue is the kind of boxing who loves to fight strong boxers that can challenge him to evolve more than what he is right now and maybe that is why he is called a monster in the first place. Also, I think it will be hard to go against him because we saw him numerous times that he can really improvise to keep up with his opponents and in the mid rounds, he is giving more than what his opponent is giving which is also part of the reason why he is upsetting the favorites that he fought when he was still making his name.
