Well, BURST will definitely still rise. However, since McAfee's pump thinks that many amateurs will participate, there is a possibility that as soon as the price goes down it will escape... I didnt expect to see the nationalization of cryptoscamming take place this early lol.
The skepticism in the thread is expected but spare us the "analysis". Venezuela's president is scamming his own people the same way some of the ICO scammers are scamming the Bitcoin community. Believe me, politicians always have their own agenda.

We can never tell if what will be the agenda of the president of Venezuela maybe they are taking the bitcoin value at the highest level since if this happen all of the people there will be force to use bitcoin for their every transaction and I hope this project will not let bitcoin down. The Venezuelan president's agenda is the same as all the other coutries' presidents. To make money from the gullibility of their people. It s basically a crypto miner, not some magic software which brings money. It uses your GPU and CPU to mine crypto. Is it legit? Well, Nicehash was legit, offered the same service and yet they got hacked for 4700 BTC.
The first thing I d ask myself if how can I be sure to be able to remove that miner 100% when I decide to do so.
Yeah, it was "hacked" but without any professional and thorough investigation how do we know that it wasnt an inside job? Everytime an exchange or any BTC service is hacked, that should always be the first question asked because it is so easy for employee to instigate a hack with some help outside the company. In some cases it might be the owner exit scamming. |

The Dymaxion upgrade will finally be presented in 24 hours! After weeks and weeks of posting and letting it known here in the forum, I still cant believe all of you are taking one of the biggest updates in cryptocurrencies for granted.

Even if they have the name of a user, how can an EU law enforcer prove that an XMR or Zcash transaction made by that user is really his, or how can they find the transactions they are looking for in XMR or Zcash lol.

I know about Lightning for BTC but what does it mean for Burst? Will the scam tokens or colored coins be issued on the top layer now, leaving the base layer pure? |

What do you mean? Arbitrage trading? If you have the right amount of BTC and the skill to do it then I dont see why its not lucrative.
Having said that, it would require you to have BTC in more than one exchange for faster trades. Thats very risky.
It would also be risky in that if you try to actually move the coins between exchanges as the OP is suggesting he wants to do, one would be vulnerable to the change in price during the confirmation time, which lasts from 30 to 60 minutes. Furthermore, the trade has to be good enough to offset the transaction fees incurred by the movement of the coins. Of course, having a larger pool of bitcoin would certainly help in this regard, but it may put other smaller players out of the play. The Gemini-GDAX gap is an example of something off which you might profit. The gap gets up to $300 wide at some points and you can always try to keep the Bitcoins in them in order to not incur any fees, but it takes quite a bit of money to be able to do this profitably. Even then, you are going to need a script to do this repeatedly for you and you are definitely going to want to make sure that it is completely bug-free, as your entire portfolio would be vulnerable to any failures. Moving coins from exchange to exchange is not advisable. Many things can happen, especially these days when BTC is very unreliable with the slow confirmations and the high fees. |

BTC mining has become a specialized undertaking that it isnt advisable for newbs to invest their time and money on it anymore.
Its better to buy and hold BTC or mine an altcoin with a bright future. I suggest you look up Burst. It has a greener and more energy efficient mining algorithm called Proof of Capacity.
This, afaik these days many miners prefer to mine altcoins such as eth, ltc, or other coins which are more profitable than mining btc. I have a friend who is a new miner as well and he built his own miner hardware using vga, he is now mining eth. He said that he spent around $4500 and he can earn 1.x ETH per month. It means that he will get ROI after 5-6 months but I'm not really sure about the full specifications about his miner. Newbs can also try Proof of Capacity mining with Burst. All they will need is a hard drive. They can try it with the hardware they have now, and if they like it then they can invest and buy more equipment. With Bram Cohen's Chia Network coming next year, there will be more demand for PoC miners. Its a perfect time to learn about PoC if you ask me. |

I am positive that some of you have heard or read of John Mcafee's TWEET about Burst. Dont believe him. Hes using his influence to pump and dump some altcoins. Having that said, please dont make your decisions based on whats pumping. Make them because you believe in Burst as a greener alternative for BTC. |
