This incident is not very old and just happened on August 5 this year and around 200 people were held by the police. According to the amendments, cockfighting is allowed on holidays like on Sundays and public holidays. If that is true than why they raid this cockfighting arena ?

This incident happened not so long ago and it is controversial. Per PD449 cockfighting is allowed only on Sundays and some public holidays. That the basis of the raiding team, the PD449. On part of the owner of the arena that is being raided they used the amendment of that PD449 as the basis on holding cockfight on Mondays as they secured permit from the local government. I think on the amendments we can see there that " local government can regulate the holding of a cockfighting". As i have said, this is a controversial incident. That could be a good question to ask since the amendment cover the old law, there's an argument between the raiding teams and the owner of the cockfighting arena. He facilitate the game even it's not Sunday or holiday due to the permit that he have from the local government unit. It will be a controversy since Amendment should carry-over the entire rule. |
