So UltraCoin and YaCoin are both Scrypt-ChaCha? This is what I get out of this. It seems like they use the exact same algorithm from what you quoted.

So, YaCoin....what is it really? Ahmed, you are still saying it's Scrypt-Jane while ivanlabrie says it's Scrypt-ChaCha.

Also, ivanlabrie says UltraCoin and CacheCoin are not Scrypt Jane but instead Scrypt-ChaCha forks? Or Scrypt-N?

Working on a project and I was just wondering if someone has access to a comprehensive list of all cryptocurrencies and their hashing algorithms? Ideally it is updated frequently and includes every coin, even the obscure, shitty ones.

So what are all the other algos in existence right now?

SHA-3, Scrypt Jane, Adaptive-N, X11?

We need to be responsible and monitor all these algorithms on a single collective page on the website. We can monitor the rise and fall in popularity of each algorithm over time easily then. We should update each algorithm as new coins adopt these other algos and monitor the state of all the miners in the world to make better decisions in the future. We gather data now to prepare for the future.

I'm interested in any new proofs, but how in the world are you implementing proof of hatred? What definition of 'hatred' are you using, and is it biased at all or will everyone agree on this definition of hatred?

First, because I didn't think choosing 3-5  colors in the Myriad color wheel would make for an appealing page.
Second, because the logo in the OP on page 1 is blue. I just sampled a color from the blue logo and then used shades of that blue to fill out the color scheme.

I'm open to alternate suggestions though. There isn't much to work with with the logo colors.

Also, if a new hashing algorithm becomes desirable to add, which of the following is better:

A) Switch the new algo in for the least popular current Myriad algo. (Total algos remain at 5)
B) Add the algo without subtracting any other algo (Total algos increases to 6).

So, I think we should make a page on the Myriad website where we are tracking other hashing algorithms that exist but aren't included in Myriad at the moment. We can list which coins use those algorithms and monitor how popular they are (i.e. combined net hashrates of each coin ).

Then, we should list the current algos on Myriad and their individual net hashrates and monitor if any of them are becoming less popular (I know foodies's blockexplorer does this already). We can then perhaps make a voting system to switch the least popular Myriad hashing algo with the most popular altcoin hashing algorithm that Myriad currently does not have.

Perhaps we can instill some type of voting system ala exchanges that miners can use to request a new hashing algorithm.
