Even though , iPayYou doesn't look as good as other services such as Bitpay for example , they managed to make Starbucks accepting bitcoin in their official application and that's definitly an achievement for a new service like them. In order to use this feature , you first have a wallet in iPayYou otherwise It's not going to work. The next year already sound very promising and I can't wait to see more . This is good news ,but i`m not a Starbucks "fan" and i will never be. It`s good that some giants accept bitcoin as a payment method.

Is there any user here that donates on charity whenever he wins on gambling? Is the money earned on gambling is good for donation? This question is always banging on my head because i won lately on gambling and i want to share my earnings for those people in charity but i'm just worried if my money is worth it to be donated because it came from gambling. I need some advice. thanks
note: I will closed this thread once i got good advice. thanks!
I`ve never heard about such user here.People addicted to gambling are greedy and they won`t donate their profits for charity. What do you mean by "good for donation"?It`s just money.

Thanks for this information and this is quiet an inspiring words specially to those people who wants to learn trading.I could really say that it would really require to learn trading for longer years and its not an easy thing because you will need to build up experience and strategies to be profitable. Its very true that some people are not interested into the word "trading" when they do have jobs.Just like on my situation i dont have a job but still i would really love to learn trading not just for last resort on making money but i do have really the dream of being a professional trader.
Yeah, the best traders in the world learn from their mistakes and continue to trade. They have one thing in common-lots of money.... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Trading is actually like having a job.

... I would have to do a lot of onerous calculations to get the exact number, but at $500 I am sure than I am finally in the green, ahead on my BTC investment. The range would be $480 - $500, I do know that. I started buying after the peak when BTC was in the $700s, and bought fairly steadily all the way down. Since I am on a visit to Peru now, I cannot (easily) spend them, so maybe when I am back in the USA I can buy a tiny amount of gold. Or maybe not! With "The Halving" coming up, maybe I should just sit back and watch the show... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Maybe the btc price will reach $1000 at January. The halving didn`t have any impact over the btc price. If the price is $1000,your profit would be 100%. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

To start with,my local newspaper is so local that it doesn't cover half of the news happening throughout the country.Boy,I'm sure they were astounded by bitcoins beauty that they actually cared to write about it! I'm not going to translate the entire article because there is nothing new that we need to know.Basically,it states how demonization in India has given "good days" for bitcoins. And there is a chance Indian Government may legally approve the use of bitcoins in India! The actual article : ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F5aBVPsS.jpg&t=663&c=xIowU5d0iENgHw) Local newspapers deliver local news. That`s why it isn`t covering the news happening throughout the country. Are bitcoins banned in India? This is sad. Bitcoin needs India and India needs bitcoin. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

When you would have a lot of Bitcoins, what way would you go, safe or risky investion?
For example you have 10 Bitcoins, would you invest in this 10 coins in altcoins that are worth under 1 million dollar,? Or would you go the safe way and invest this 10 Bitcoins in 2-3 leading altcoins like monero, litecoin....?
It`s called investment ,not investion. I would choose the safe way.You risk to loose everything with the first choice.

Bitcoin isn`t a relatively new cryptocurrency compared to ethereum. It`s 7 years old. I quess, that`s why all the media don`t care about bitcoin price increase.

As i know gambling is all about luck and how to control my greed, except sportbetting (of course need skill and strategy).
I have experience in gambling (casino), somtime i hit big only with faucet or free money and i can withdraw from that. but because my greed i always want more and more, then i'll come again with my money as bankroll. Bet more and hope win more, but because of that i'll lose my money little by little and usually i'll stop after my bankroll to be "0". I call that with greed. Anyone here have any suggestion to control my greed? Let me know.
Pick a limit of your profits and when you reach that limit just stop gambling. For example if you gambled with 100$ and won 300$ then just stop.

So with the year saying us goodbye and the last Tuesday setting in, how was the year in gambling aspects, how much did you make, which sites you earned most and which you lost on. What's that one bet you can remember and one move you you wished you never played. I have played on primedice seemed decent though I played with small amounts, planning to play big next year. Do share your stories
I played primedice and freebitco.in and never made any profit. 2016 wasn`t my year when it comes to gambling and i don`t have luck.

So on a nice Christmas party time, drinks on the house I and my friend were discussing about Bitcoin, he's from the finance field and he generally knows a lot, so I thought I would use my Bitcoin knowledge to surprise him, wish I had not done it lol, so when I told him to invest in Bitcoin, I thought he would ask what it is and he replied he has one free bitcoin already. You can imagine the look, one free bitcoin here collecting satoshi's we hardly reach to a Bitcoin and he already has one. It so happens that the firm where he works decided to give bonus and they decided to give one free bitcoin to the selected staff and they have promised to give more in future that's so cool. You get salary, plus a Bitcoin perks of a employee life....
If would be great if more employers give a bitcoin bonus. This will definitely help with bitcoin mass adoption and awareness. He is a lucky guy...

Ebay has played a great role in the success of PayPal in becoming leading payment processor.Do we need a similar ebay like site to popularize Bitcoin and make it leader in money transfer?
No,i don`t think so. We just need more online merchants to accept bitcoin as a payment method in their own online stores. If some big online giant like eBay accepts bitcoin, btc will lose it`s independence even more.

Any site that will pay you bitcoins for solving captchas ? and at what rate ? - Plss guys ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Captcha sites don`t pay very well. This is slave work and only desperate people from the third world do it. Don`t bother with captcha sites.

When the enigmatic Satoshi Nakamoto gave birth to Bitcoin in January 2009, he had no idea of the cataclysmic, far-reaching repercussions of his innovative solution to the double-spend problem. Although he was neither a superstar programmer nor a superstar mathematician, he whipped up an idea that would change the world. The notion of million-dollar Bitcoin may seem damnably unrealistic, but consider that the cryptocurrency that was trading for pennies in 2009 has now soared to almost $1000 USD. From a dollar to a thousand dollars is a 100,000% rise. From a thousand dollars (its current price) to 1 million dollars is also a 100,000% rise. Bitcoin has a proven track record of this magnitude of appreciation. The rise of Bitcoin has been anything but steady and reliable, with the price leaping and plummeting seemingly on the whim of an unfavorable news report, a hacked exchange, an ugly theft, or some nasty news out of China. Nonetheless, the trend has been inexorably upwards, and there is no reason to believe this trend will change. Here’s why … Full Article Here: https://darknetmarkets.com/inevitability-million-dollar-bitcoin/We don`t need a million dollar bitcoin price. The price doesn`t matter for btc adoption. There are still big problems that stop mass btc adoption and there`s are no solutions.

Every time bitcoin goes on a bull run the bitcoin forums and Reddit go bonkers with memes and pumpers, but i really think that the excitement is legitimate, we early adopters can see how important and beneficial bitcoin can be to the internet and so get excited about it. To me bitcoin is just so obviously the future, but when i like tell friends and family they are just like..... yeah ok. I have refrained from encouraging them to buy some as i know how volatile bitcoin can be, and at the minute i dont think its good to buy on a run but i really think that so many people are going to wish they had listened in 5-10 years from now. I wish i was an early adopter too. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I could have bought a few bitcoins when the price was $300 back in 2015 and sell them now. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I didn`t have any money to buy btc before 2015.

Last October a website called BTCBurns.cf identified 397 burn addresses containing 2,657.8686 BTC lost forever. It has gone offline. Since it stopped keeping track 26.04 additional bitcoins have been sent to these addresses. The total number of unspendable bitcoins is now 2,771.4086. http://bitcoinwhoswho.com/blog/2016/12/21/btc-burn-addresses/What is a burn adress?I`ve never heard about this. How is it possible people to continue to send bitcoins to those adresses?

There is something that I really can't understand and I want to get your thoughts about it.
It looks like for some reasons , the bitcoin community don't care about decentralization at all. I mean , If we check the forums we will see how they say they want to use decentralized websites to exchanges etc... but the truth is that no one does. OpenBazaar which is supposed to be a decentralized marketplace is almost used by no one compared to the bitcoin userbase and this is valid for Bitsquare.io as well. In the meanwhile , we see a lot of people providing their real infos to the exchanges just like that.. So what's wrong here?
Bitcoin decentralization is just a dream. Bitcoin is mined by a few big miners in China, and most of the btc is owned by a few big btc holders. Btc decentralization is over.

I remember several years ago similar poll was made and i was surprised most of the users answered NO. In case your answer is still NO, I'd like to know what is your main reason not to own one bitcoin?
Happy holidays!
edit: grammar
No,because i can`t make one bitcoin that fast and i don`t want to take the risk buying 1 btc. If i had one btc and the price collapses i will freak out. I had 0.238 btc and i sold them a few days ago.

I found it's very hard to inspire females to use bitcoin. I tried to invite 20 female friends who are aging from 19 to 45 to use bitcoin by giving them free bitcoin 0.25BTC each. Only 10 of them accepted. These ten ladies accept to use bitcoin, but they never talk about bitcoin, they never heard of bitcointalk.org. What they like to talk are just hairdressing, shopping, keeping fit ...
I'm curious is there any female BitcoinTalker around you?
99% of all bitcoin users are men. Females still don`t understand bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. They consider btc as a "nerds" thing,i guess. This really stops bitcoin growth and adoption.
