8421  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 08, 2014, 03:47:07 PM

I sold off the last of my holdings today at BTC0.098 for a sad loss, and based on what I've read from customers (not to mention what I've not read from friedcat&co. due to an utter lack of communication), I've set my expectations for lower future sales based on the current pricing strategy accordingly.

Should have waited, could have sold for 50% more. AM1 sits at 0.15BTC/share as we speak.

I have a feeling someone was waiting for the type of volume I laid down...reeks of market manipulation.  Again, not to sound like RoadStress et al., but just read the Prisma thread to see where you should be pricing shares.  None of those ~0.15BTC asks were up earlier this morning...looks like someone cleared out the ask sheet to try and pick off a few gullible newbs for a profit.

Or.. Somebody knows something..  Shocked Grin

Or... somebody saw the "I just got divs" post yesterday and hit the buy button.  Not saying it was me but I could see that happening.

I just received a payment to my ASICMINER dividend address.  Are they paying dividends again or is this just a random spam transaction?

https://blockchain.info/tx/eff86901547279a9be4ccdba5a3be3cdf57c3280a3c3db16cf318580a4c9061a

(0.0000543 BTC the amount received)

You didn't just get  it; that's two weeks old.  Stop causing alarm for nothing.
Everyone else is aware of this and it is legit.  Read the thread.

Seriously, a hero member comes in here telling us he just got divs.   Made me look!  ...and I'm still upset about it.  Angry

8424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I really want this watch but it's too much on: December 05, 2014, 01:48:41 AM
Anyone knows how many have been sold?

Their website says the first 100 are shipping now and they are taking orders for the 2nd batch of 100 - sounds like a pre-order.  Use caution!
8425  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I really want this watch but it's too much on: December 03, 2014, 03:21:53 AM
The first hundred are shipping now - anybody get one yet?
8426  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: December 02, 2014, 11:29:21 PM
I want to bet on the next diff rise which is in ~7 days. I say it will be below 0.

ok, so the bet I proposed. You're on, 0.1 BTC, I say it will be above 0.

(And if its precisely zero, I suggest we both donate to a charity :p)

Time to turn on my 100PH machine!

Ok.

Havent done the math, but I think at this point its even mathematically impossible for me to win.
Post or pm me an address so I can send you a life changing amount of btc :p.

Well, that means I need an addy as well.  I'm only sending half of a life-changing amount though.
8427  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 02, 2014, 06:16:31 PM
Alright, you're on.  I'll wager 0.05 that you wont lose the bet.
Only 63 blocks to go though...

Ok,  its your loss.

Well I calculated the average interval of 1983 blocks since the last difficulty retarget and it came out to 593 seconds.  I know it's not that simplistic a calculation but it seems to be a little too fast (on average) so I am expecting a slight increase in the difficulty to compensate.  Either way, it's going to be tight!

8428  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: December 02, 2014, 03:40:57 PM
Thanks, I guess Cheesy  Nice vanity addy.

Yeah, I wanted to do 1Realist... but the difficulty was too high so it would have taken a day to render and would not have made for a timely reply to your post Wink

lol that is i think it needs a special note so people dont try to send to it btc as gifts or stuff like that. I do agree the diffculty change will not be no 5-7% like i thought it was going to be but hey even 0.5% NEGATIVE difficulty change is good for little fish like me that dont want to see not 10 - 15% increase every 2 weeks

If people want to send gifts to it, that's fine.  Only NotLambchop has the privkey for it.
I like the relative calm of the difficulty as well, it's good for AMHash and that's good for us Wink

how much gave you at stake?

Peanuts (0.1 BTC)

Alright, you're on.  I'll wager 0.05 that you wont lose the bet.

8433  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: December 02, 2014, 12:59:32 PM
Great business move for asicminer shareholders probably, but I have a feeling a large % of the people buying these types of investments will end up as bagholders.  I'm curious to see how this will play out.

That of course depends on the difficulty increases, right now it's not bad for the 'bagholders' Smiley

-Sahra

If potential ROI is not taken off the table by difficulty increases (see: every mining stock to date), something else will come along to impoverish teh intrepid investors (see: every Havelock offering, 95% of Bitcoin-denominated securities).

  ~Happy Investing.

You're probably right so I made a special Bitcoin address just for you. Wink

I mined a bit before the airdrop (allegedly) started but it didn't last long since diff skyrocketed.  It seemed like such a noble cause and I got caught up in that.  It is so sad to see yet another duping of trusting souls in the Bitcoin/cryptocoin world.  I don't know if this behaviour is just status quo for all businesses or if it is unique to the crypto-world but it sucks!  Anyway, I wrote up a news release in authentic Auroracoin addies:

I have a few questions too.

1) Is Hashie receiving compensation in some form from AM in exchange for selling AMHash?
2) Does the number of contracts sold as displayed on Havelock include the contracts Hashie are selling?
3) When will AMHash start selling contracts again?
4) Why isn't the website being kept up-to-date?

mostly number 1 for me... how does hashie manage to sell so cheap? It doesnt quite make sense to me, the contracts are as old as the ones on havelock, who's zoomin' who? it would be really interesting to know if they worked these things out beforehand...

I don't understand what you mean by "so cheap".  If you want to buy AMHash shares from Hashie, they are 0.0012 BTC/Gh  which is the same price as Havelock charged for round two.

i think i downloaded de github that was posted, can you give me the link please?
(when i write "./oclvanitygen" i can see in the all the commands that apears the -1 , meaby it was written but not implemented )

Im not sure where i download it , how can i check the version? (Im very noob at linux as you can see Tongue )

Well I'm using the windows binaries but in ver .22 I don't see the -1 optiong although the -k option (keep going) is there.  If I specify an output file and no other options, it terminates after one match.  In the version I use which I got here - http://lifeboat.com/ex/press.releases.bitcoins.hundred.thousand.dollars (link to vanitygen in the text) the -1 and the -k options exist and it you don't specify the -1 option it still stops after the first match. This is a windows binary as well.
